The New York Mets are kicking off their 2026 spring training schedule this week, but it's

a bit quieter than usual.

The World Baseball Classic has pulled away some top players, including Juan Soto, leaving

the roster lighter for now.

Even without those stars, the team keeps pushing forward with a full slate of games.

It's a great time for prospects and regulars to get reps and build chemistry.

Fans are buzzing about the absences, but it's also spotlighting depth players who could

make a name for themselves.

Spring training always brings surprises like that.

This week starts Monday, March 9th, at 6.10pm eastern time, against the Miami Marlins.

Tuesday's March 10th, at 1.10pm versus the St. Louis Cardinals, with Thursday March 12th,

at 1.05pm, also against the cards.

Friday March 13th features a split squad, one game at 6.05pm against the Washington Nationals,

and another at 6.10 versus the Marlins.

Then Saturday March 14th, at 6.05 against the Houston Astros, wrapping Sunday March 15th

at 1.10pm, with the Toronto Blue Jays.
