Shalom beloved, your world comes to another episode of the morning glory devotion.
0:28
God bless you for making time to study God's word with us this morning.
0:33
Pre-released to be facilitating this episode is Sharon Asan from Harvard Shapo International.
0:40
Let's share a word of prayer. Father, please shed light on your word.
0:46
Minister to our hearts and let us leave here and encourage in Jesus' name, in real.
0:53
Let's take our confession from Joshua, Chapter 1, Verse 8.
1:01
This book of the law shall not depart out of our mouths, but I shall meditate in its day and night
1:09
as I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then, I will make my way
1:15
prosperous and then I will have good success. Amen.
1:22
Today's episode is titled An Invitation to Rists. An Invitation to Rists. We'll take our
1:30
first scripture reading from Mark Chapter 5, Verse 25 to 27, and 29. Let's read.
1:40
Now, a certain woman had a flu of blood for 12 years and had suffered many things from many physicians.
1:49
She had spent all that she had and was no better but rather grew with. When she heard about Jesus,
1:58
she came behind him in the crowd and touched his garment, immediately the fountain of her blood
2:05
was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. Amen.
2:13
Our second Bible we don't be taken from Matthew Chapter 11 from Verse 28 to Verse 13.
2:22
Come to me, all of you who are weary, embedded, and I will give you rest,
2:29
take my yoke upon you, and learn from me because I am lulli, and humble, and heart,
2:35
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Amen.
2:45
An invitation to rest. We are three months into the year, and maybe things don't look the way
2:52
you hoped they would, because our one goals haven't been met. You feel like you can't catch up with
2:59
dead light and you are still trying to find balance. Exams are fast approaching and you feel behind.
3:08
There are things you said you'd achieved last year, and somehow you are still not there.
3:14
Life might feel overwhelming right now, you might even be on the verge of giving up.
3:20
Let's consider this. In our anchor scripture, this nameless woman had tried everything.
3:28
She was exhausted, out of options, and at her breaking point. Yet she summoned the courage to do
3:36
something bold, and socially unacceptable, and reached for Jesus in every. That's made all the
3:44
difference. Jesus extends the same invitation to us. He puts us to come, no matter how tired,
3:52
burdened, anxious, overwhelmed, or one else we may be. He doesn't require that we have it all
4:01
together before coming. He just acts that we come. In an exchange, he offers us rest.
4:09
God sees us struggles and understands our weaknesses. He is able to empathize with what we are struggling
4:17
with and decides that we thrive, excel, and enjoy life. He also knows that the quality of life
4:26
he'd have us enjoy his surface when we do it on our own, until he makes a call and proposes
4:33
an idea to us. Bring me your burdens and take what I give you instead. My yoke is easy, my
4:42
burden is light, and I know you can carry it. We love it. God can handle whatever you are facing.
4:51
Don't isolate yourself and try to figure everything out on your own. We have a high priest,
4:57
Jesus, who understands exactly what we are going through, and is always ready to help.
5:05
Amen. Let's take our memories from 1st Peter chapter 5 verse 7, and I'm reading from the
5:12
Passion translation. 1st Peter chapter 5 verse 7, 4 hours all your worries and stress upon him
5:21
and leave them there for he always tenderly cares for you. Amen. We love it. Let's share a word of prayer.
5:30
Thank you God that you see our weaknesses and still call us to come anyway. Help us to remember
5:37
these truths as we go throughout our day and for the rest of the week. We thank you in Jesus' name.
5:45
Amen. Amen. God bless you so much for joining today's episode. We stay tuned to video HCI
5:53
today for more spirit-filled content. Shalom.
