I have any father we thank you so much for today, we pray that as we delve into your word that you open the eyes of our understanding and bless us by your word in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Let us kindly take our confession from Joshua, chapter 1, verse 8.
This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in its day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then, I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success, Amen.
The theme for today's morning glory devotion is singing, spiritual songs, and as scripture readings will be taken from, sounds 34, verse 1, and acts chapter 16, verse 25 and 26, both to be read from the new King James Version.
Psalm 34, verse 1, I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continue to be in my mouth.
Acts chapter 16, verse 25 and 26, but at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and their prisoners were listening to them.
Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prisons were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were loosed.
Beloved here ends the reading of his word, thanks be to God, Amen.
Singing spiritual songs, music is the art of organizing sound to create harmony, rhythm, melody, and expression.
It can be made by using instruments or the human voice.
Music has such power that it tends to have an effect on the body, soul, and spirit of the one listening, or singing it.
So when believers listen or engage in singing spiritual songs, it has a tremendous effect on a spirit man, and then transcends into our souls and bodies.
The Apostle Paul and Silas had been severely beaten and then thrown into prison because they brought liberation to a damsel who brought gains to her masters by telling fortunes.
They could have caged God, renounced him, or even been angry at him, because of what they had suffered whilst doing the work of God.
However, they choose to exhibit their deep-seated faith in God by praying and singing spiritual songs through that dark night.
This challenging season may probably not have been the first of its kind in their lives.
On this particular occasion, however, they were led by the spirit of God to do what they did, to pray and to sing spiritual songs.
Daily beloved, in crisis moments in our lives, what do we do?
When tragedy strikes, unexpected crisis attacks, when we feel like God has abandoned us and failed to bring us deliverance or a desired breakthrough.
Maybe we can do what Paul and Silas did to pray and to sing spiritual songs.
Singing the lost songs during these moments guarantees us the presence of God who inhabits the praise of his people.
As we magnify the Lord in songs of praise and worship, He will intervene in that situation and bring us His peace that surpasses all understanding.
He will guard our hearts and minds through His Holy Spirit in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Our memory verse for today will be from Psalm 34, the verse 1, to be read from the New King James Version.
I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Amen. Shall we pray.
Our Heavenly Father, we thank You so much for the encouragement that we have received from Your Weathers morning.
We pray that Lord, You help us to fix our eyes on You, even in difficult times, and to sing spiritual songs that lift our spirit and bring glory to Your name.
We pray that Lord, our voices will be as sweet free as to You, and may we experience Your peace and intervention in every situation in Jesus' mighty name. We pray. Amen.
God bless you day 1, 4, staying through our morning glory, devotion to day, and keep Your down here for more spiritual and soul nourishing content throughout the day. Shallow.
