You know, Lee, before we get going for all of the discussion,

the first weekend with the lack of Cinderella's winning the chalk rising to the top.

I mean, you look at what you got tonight. St. John's Duke, Alabama, Michigan,

Michigan State, Connecticut, and Tennessee Iowa State.

Those are eight top 20 teams. Iowa State has turned into that.

They're relevant again. Rick Barnes getting Tennessee back to the sweet 16.

Like, you can't argue with these teams left.

Like, I know that we don't have Kennesau State or, you know, someone like that at this point.

But you got eight really good teams left.

And that begins. Let's transition into this Alabama and Michigan good football game.

But basketball, too, not too bad. So what do you have here at the Wolverines in the Crimson side?

Well, I like the fact I love the hire of Dustin May and the former coach B line got involved in the hiring process.

They went down to Florida and interviewed him and basically did a sales pitch.

They were so in love with him to get him to come up and coach the Wolverine.

So I think he's a great motivator.

I think that he is is really good at putting his players in spots where they can succeed.

And he's great at acquiring talent.

They've got money, too. It doesn't hurt.

I think Michigan is going to dominate the front court here.

I think he's going to find his shots and his points.

Michigan, the only way they lose this game or don't cover is if they have some scoring roles.

And I don't see that happening.

Why? Because they're balanced inside and out.

And I think the Alabama defense is that bad.

Alabama shot 19 out of 30 from three point land against Texas tech who plays no defense.

So I don't see that happening again here.

I'm laying the nine to nine and a half.

We're going to go the blow up special with Michigan Wolverines.

They're going to the lead eight.

And also to Texas tech was four of 25 from three against Alabama.

So highly doubt that Michigan is going to is going to duplicate that effort coming up tonight.

So a Bama in Michigan.

And yeah, again, you got some really good matchups here in the sweet 16.

We have one more to get to coming up in a bit between Michigan state and Connecticut.

So now let's get to the majoring baseball card and a couple teams didn't play on Thursday.

So now the opening day is today.

And that includes the royals and the brave.

So we're hooking up in Atlanta for our major league baseball hit and Jeff.

Find a diamond in the rough. You need to dig a little deeper for those hidden gems.

And in this game, the braves are favorite home, obviously, but we're going to go the first five inning play with the Kansas City Royals on the road here at a short plus price.

Chris sale starts for Atlanta and Cole Reagan's goes for Kansas City.

Now, just looking at some numbers from last season as far as the first five innings goes and Cole Reagan's missed some time due to injury.

But in five of six road starts, Reagan's did not trail through five innings in five of six road starts.

So that's a pretty strong. So in the event of a tie through five, you push.

Okay, you get your money back. Chris sale in nine home starts last season.

He led through five innings just three times and two of those came late in the season.

And sale is still a fantastic picture, still the ace of this brave staff around Acunia juniors back after he was hurt last year Atlanta just added the gate.

Got off to a terrible start. They had injuries. Now they have a managerial change with Walt Weiss in there. Brian Snicker retired and he did a really good job.

I mean, I've been in the world series a few years ago, but the Royals though, this is still a team that has aspirations to win the American League Central.

I mean, you kind of count out the white socks and twins out of the gate. That's me a three team race between the Royals guardians and tigers at this point.

Who knows if Cleveland stands you anything in the off season, but the Royals still with the superstar and Bobby would junior a short stop that this is a team with Reagan's who was a very good picture as long as he stays healthy.

I think here in this opener getting him at a plus price, especially in the first five is worth a strong look.

So let's go with the Royals in the first five innings against the braves here in Friday's opener between both teams in Atlanta as our major league baseball hit and jam.

Wow. I'm going to be going with the world as a lot first five. I just don't trust your bolt. I think it's a really good selection. You have here.

That's their weakness. Just don't have arms on the back end. Also think Jack Haggler is going to have a super year this year.

For some reason, just didn't get it done. He's a super prospect. I think he's going to be an incredible hitter here.

All star for many years for some reason. Just couldn't adjust his first year. Maybe he was pressing. Maybe guys had the book on him.

But I saw him when he was at the University of Florida, one of the best college hitters I've ever seen. So I like the Royals here.

I think it's a great match up here. And most people don't take the visiting team first five here, but you make a real strong case for it.

That's been he passed Patino is so what he did for team Italy in the world baseball classic and we know he's a strong hitter for the Royals, but obviously stepped up for them and took them pretty far.

So again, part of that Royals lineup that the other thing too is again this game in Atlanta, not in Kansas City, but the Royals also moved in there.

They're outfield fence. You wonder when they get home. How many home runs that they're going to hit coming up, but again playing in Atlanta tonight against Chris sale.

We'll see how that one turns out coming up. We will talk about another sweet 16 game Michigan State and Ucon.

I've said some things you know off the court. Not a big fan of where's Tom iso unless you're like a Michigan fan or a big 10 fan of another team. Let me see more likeable.

Here's my thing with the two of them that you bring the stuff iso there's a difference between fiery and out of control.

Tom iso is fiery. I think Dan Hurley fantastic coaches out of control the sidelines that you can't snap like that every single time and just lose your stuff every single time when something goes against you and.

It gets tiring after a while when you see him yelling and screaming and throwing his glasses and all that like that doesn't mean that you are a better coach because you're yelling at the referees all the time over every call so yes there's a difference again he's won a couple championships he's a great coach but also he's out of control at times.

I agree all right now we got that out of the way so on to the match up so I think the Michigan state here.

The key is can they disrupt you cons offense and limit territory junior from working the posts and around the basket you cons offense has been really inconsistent this year compared to last couple years.

Most specifically I don't think they're three point shooting is very good.

They just don't have the guys that can do it especially in the clutch.

How about this in the month of March and we'll go from the last game backward they played six games in March and you're thinking oh they won five out of six the only game they lost

was to St. John's they played pretty well right well they shot 33% in the last game against UCLA double digit win destroyed Furman but only shot 20%.

The game that they lost they shot 15.8% against St. John's 32% against Georgetown 37% against Xavier and 12.5% against Marquette.

I don't think all the sudden you're just going to pick it up against a really good perimeter defense here and I think Tom is always going to be able to come up with a game plan to limit this offense.

So I like point guards and I think that the Michigan state has the better point guard here and we always talked about and when you get to March madness you want the guy that can control.

Get your offensive set set up can hit a big three point shot when you need it and also hit free throws down the stretch and I think that that Michigan state has that strength there.

I'm going to say the wrong team is favored by by Dan Hurley I'm taking Michigan state party upset here wrong team favored Michigan state over you.

Well there's one thing we know Lee is that you'll be the most loved man in the state of Michigan because you took the Wolverines and the Spartans coming up but tonight actually or they may say pick a side because you split the state by taking both of those teams but anyway should be interesting tonight again a lot of great coaches great programs on display and we'll see who makes it to the elite eight coming up on Sunday.
