From the Fairbanks Museum, this is the eye on the sky, weather update.
It intends low pressure system is churning across the Midwest, funneling warm, moist air
from the south, becoming unseasonably warm today, nearing the mid-60s.
A cold front will rush from west to east early this evening, with a rumble of thunder
possible in northern New York around the drive time.
The main threat will be strong wind gusts tonight up to 50 mph.
The details rain arriving from west to east this evening, with temperatures warmer in
the upper 50s and low 60s west of the greens, gusty with winds around 35 mph this afternoon.
Tonight rain changing to a wintery mix after midnight, temperatures plunge into the mid
and upper 20s and low 30s in New Hampshire.
Southwest winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph, gusting to 50.
Scattered snow showers tomorrow lingering longer in the northern mountains, cooler with
highs in the upper 20s and upper 30s from west to east.
