The views and opinions expressed on analysed this are entirely those of the on-air participants and do not reflect those of the station's board management staff or underwriters. We're back here on analysed this. It is Liberty, 2026. We got the table talk. In effect, let me do our quorum call. Right now joining us from Othay the West. Born's Murray's picnic. Dr. Pat Murray's. Good morning, Dr. How are you? Good morning, morning. That's what I'm talking about. From all parts of the Virgin Islands, Professor Malik Sikou joining us currently at UVI Professor. Good morning, Professor Howell. I am. You hear me doing right? I have. That's the latest notice today. Today they're full. They're full.
They're full since 12 years. And also joining us with good friend from we're back when she bought massive doing Henry. Good morning to you. Good morning to you. And of course the one and only Alan originally known as Doc's call in between known as the handle. Morning Doc's call Mr. Majority leader. How are you? I did. Yeah. Yeah. He looked in territorial votes. He doing the same thing like Pat Murray's was all good. And one of the things about Liberty, Tony is is Liberty is really. I would say the 60 day, the 60 day march to election. Liberty is a big, big day in terms of when we have even number years and elections we're looking at. And in the Virgin Islands, the gubernatorial election happens to be the midterm cycle and the mainland.
Right. And Doc's call this is a big, big year in in the Virgin Islands because it's a gubernatorial year and we don't have an incumbent. We will have an a first time governor. Come January 2027. As it stands right now, you believe that the political atmosphere somewhere quiet because I find it to be a little quiet. I don't know about you. That's why I'm asking. What's your take on it right now? It's a little quiet for me. I see my good candidates. I know I've been the the YouTube war and the Facebook war. That's what I'm seeing. I'm a lot of pictures, a lot of talking. I ain't hearing nobody out there. I'm seeing no, no conversation. They put up the picture and that's basically the theme of do this thing is on Facebook. And Neville Ovens and Korya was telling them in the sidebar.
You know when it's sidebar, Hong Sunro, but if you go by the sidebar and talk to the judge and then the judge pop back and say what happened. Right? The sidebar that that Caribbean thing in St. Kory, right? That Caribbean thing you guys used to be specifically for Libra wrongly, but they tried that you said spawned the political campaigning where everybody shot down in the village and start propagating the message. So that is done. Similar to Boland Red Day, you know, where just you become the day before election. Well, the politician, the politician, and show up. So that aspect of the Caribbean connection is gone. I ain't seen it. Well, the Boland Red Day, the lay of no hook on wind.
The big thing about what happened is people over the over the 60 day window from Libra, the Boland Red. People are coalesced and joined and teams who they believe are winning. They can't even want to be an supporting a winning team. Right? Yes. But but you're right. You're right. And remember now that's also that's a local Libra, no, Libra, T. Deo, no. Yes. That's our local Libra, right? It is our local Libra. Yeah, Boland Red. Right? Yes. I'm going to be in the West and suburb. Right? So. Oh, I even know it's held in Grove. Right? Do you have the Jackson come out? The West and suburb right? Don't get increased. Okay? Go by the ring my Williams, Fanny Mecha, down there in groove. However, though. Let me come back to Dr. Morris. One of the reasons why somebody got kind of reading the back there. Go take it off. Here. Thank you for playing that. Please turn it off. I'm going to talk about. I'm going to talk about. So, somebody close to somebody. Close to somebody. Yes.
Somebody close to somebody. Correct. Dr. Morris, you know what it is? I believe one of the issues is the money in that, man. And people, people, people, people campaigning based on availability of funds and wanting to make the money tight until they really turn it up in October. That's how I see it. I mean, that's probably the case. I mean, I wouldn't be, I wouldn't be surprised. I would kind of, you know, modify what, you know, my good friend, Donald Duck School, I mean Alan, say, you know, because I agree with the majority of the candidates. Both those who are legislature and governor are not really out there except maybe a little bit on Facebook. But, you know, the plastic campaign is like full force 100%. They had a big, a looser thing, you know, yesterday. So, they are, they are definitely moving forward. What I think we're not seeing is that the other competitors are not up to the same speed
in terms of the outreach with the community. No, I'm on the talk. Money talk. Yes. Before I get to Malika, I want to come to do it. But it's not just money alone. It's not just money alone. I mean, I agree with you that money talks, but, you know, we have seen all over the place in the US that, you know, you can have a very viable and successful campaign without a lot of money. You have to mobilize people. You got to, it's like what you were saying, Docs, right? You know, you go out there and you're kind of on that kind of stuff. And not seeing a lot of that, you know, for the campaigns that as Neville has probably, you know, positive quite correctly that don't have the money, you know, but they're not doing the other things, which means you have they've been able to solidify, you know, a grassroots, you know, you know, cadre of folks to promote their candidacy because that's what you need
to win. I'm going to give you, I'm going to give you, now hold up a second, I'm going to give you a reason for that and I'm going to go to doing and then Malika afterward doing, you know why the reasons why Dr. Morris pointed out that the, the plasket pattern campaign appears to be in flow, if not in full flow, in flow at this point compared to the others. The early voting and the change and the election cycle, right, has changed everything as released at the timeline and the terrain for politics and the origin, right? Keep in mind, I want to as recent as 2010, the primary didn't happen yet, I don't know. The primary were going to happen this Saturday coming. Right, back in the day, right, when the primary was, the primary used to actually be the Tuesday after Labor Day, right?
And then Hurricane Hortens in 1996 changed everything, they had to delay it, push it back to a Saturday and it became permanent, right? Before, before they changed the whole election window and moved everything up to the first Saturday in August for the Democratic primary. So to me, that has always been a big advantage because you already, the Democrats already know from in from in August, as opposed to September, doing Henry, who their candidate is going to be. And as a result, you get a 30, another 30, 35 day bump compared to back in the day. Sure, true. That's true. That's absolutely true. The timeline changed somewhat. But I also wanted to go back and we admitted one at a holiday between Labor Day. I think we forget for the Asian friendship. That's a big that. That's a good made point in that's a good made point in the 60 day in the
final 60 days. Correct. Yes, that was important at least that thing for you. You can also so you write all these different groups of organizations. You have to pull them out again or so in order to win in November. And then of course, Liberty Day, the whole group was the combination. And just for those of you know, the reason why it's a little bit is because growth is actually come this center of the neighborhood movement. Correct. We have a time to action. He lived with us and so forth, but he was actually barred up there. He's still in all. And he ended up buying the place that he was barred at. His parents used to teach it. There was a school. Then he said, uh, it's a number one green tea. Okay. That's why I came up. Yeah. But I know I know I know I know he I know he bought it West and some up that you read it. But his parents were teachers up there.
Okay. When he became a man, you know, buying the place. It used to be a school. Yeah, and get a newspaper in addition to the neighborhood. Right. Absolutely. Yes. The first that was when he went to his place of fame. Liberty Day. The people should he's not as a but Liberty Day was freedom of the press. Because that's when he went. He went to Denmark. The day when the king for freedom of the press in the border island. I was able to publish the first non-government newspaper legally in the border island. I forgot the name of it. Um, I don't know. Yeah, YeriYesia's right there. Not look for me. So my looks equal? So my looks little so cook. Some I did get a hair correct my some domain. Yet the hero correct. Foreg. So, so all be athlete didn't just take up the S tenha groups as well.
So you're like, it might have a little bit of a puzzle. I'm thinking I want to. I got your old saying thoughts. The same might be a little ancient. One of the things my mother is a certainly is monkey don't belong in pumps, it's actually. You know what I mean? That's what you do. That's what we must go back to the beginning of this campaign, museum. What's that the context is that the silent days, so many candidates were not properly filed. Right, so many nomination papers were not properly filed. And so the three democratic tickets were seen as viable upfront. And of the three, I was considered viable. The plastic packet came with it to organize and mobilize the most people, resources, and credibility to get the endorsements so far away,
they had people like the plastic and others, you know, coming to hard support. So the combination of factors of a lot of plastic has been to prevail, right? That's the one. And the other teams who are up against the PNT team is not only is it money, but it needs to mobilize people. And the half is a strategy that was counter, which is hard because hands in time, it's almost in place. You have to go host the house, you know, if a lot can do us, you got nothing to do on it, you know. Like you never want to be talking to the one who is team too far. You're talking to the dogs. We don't know. And then if your dog's call, where dog this is, the one who is to be in the legislature, so they won't, they won't, they won't, you've engaged the public and you can't win with two out of four Instagram and Instagram. It's great. Exactly. Thank you. You're a good dog word. That's it.
It's a good dog word. I'll start. Yeah. A lot of the voters being got that either do understand you are good. They're all people like you. I tell you, you know, the number one, the number three, the president, the looking at I and I, I'm asking to believe in legalizing Canada. If you got to look at me and say, yes or no, you can't give no political answer to me. Mino is the answer and a man to, you know, what I, when I come to the father's security to legalize the dog job, I can't, I can't give that question. Please. Go around. Question. Well, the fact is, in this election cycle, the Virgin Islands has never had a candidate with the national profile of a state's class. She is arguably, she is arguably the most popular
gubernatorial candidate outside the Virgin Islands running for governor or running for any political seat in the Virgin Islands. And that's because of the impeachment proceedings that took place over five years ago, right? How do you differentiate from mango Jones? And I understand I just want to, for the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, you know, how you, you differentiate. I'm going to, was a pop. No, I'm going to go there. How I'm going to go there. I like this. I like this. No, no, no, well, let's analyze it. Let's analyze this, right? Right. But what does, I don't know what he's trying to say to me. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, let me, let me use the, let me use a, let me use a colochia saying that I heard in the gamble shop
25 years ago, right? When, when Daniel Woods were talking to Biva, that's a two-knick name in the, Michael Cali actual name in the But when Daniel Woods went talking to Biva and then Daniel Woods realized that he had made a mistake, Biva told Daniel Woods, know your place and stay there. Don't just know your place, know your place and stay there. Right? And as popular as mango Jones may have been in the Volga Islands. And I'm in Washington circles because he was good in Washington. They don't know about that. He was a legend in Washington. Right? That's what's the C-plask. It did. Remember now, Hondik name became superwoman, you know? The way she had done superman colors and all kind of thing. And they want to know who this, who this tall black woman is, Amazon be tearing, tearing Donald Trump lawyers apart
in the in the impeachment proceedings. And I could tell you, as someone who would have been on Twitter, I ain't on Facebook like that. I'm more Twitter when people, she was so good. I hear, I read it when people saying we need to allow the Virgin Islands to have senators. I come in. Yeah. Yeah. I was, I was like, what? I was like, just bring that out. I don't want this to analyze this. Yeah. I'm so, so, so, so, so. That's how impressive she was. No, don't get me wrong. She take a B10 recently with the Epstein connection and all that stuff. Right? But when she was at her highest profile during the impeachment proceedings, people then was saying, that's how I want my elected official to sound when they're speaking. I'm telling you she was very impressive. Yeah. Let me have this. Let me have this. Let me have this. Yeah, go ahead, do it. The judgment, the judgment, the cross-eyed them. She made the politics, the, the, the idolizing states
in the office. Well, actually she may have laid the groundwork for them to believe Black woman, or really, or Black women. That's where they just, just go, go, go, go. Go really have a resonating voice in the political arena in Maryland. Right? The king of the end of politics by the lives in the big house of states. Be that that was a dominant, that was a dominant window for her right there. I'm telling you, man. I'm going to die. So, so never. Yeah. What was it, dogs? Who? Can I man with your ones to stay? Was it, dogs? No, no, no, it was not a comparison. I want that also analyze the time. And what Jones been around forever. You remember he was there. Correct. And never made the statement of the national and I agree. I agree. Let's hold up the whole of the conversation again. Sweet. Let me take a break. Come back. I'll say bye a little bit. I will go pick it up right there. Be back right after this.

And we're back here. I'm not a manager. I'm a money doctor. I'm not a doctor. I'm not a manager. That's the TV talk right now. I love that. Yeah, once I catch you, you're good with me, man. I like that. So, hey, so doc school, I got a joke for you. Right? One of me listening. So I got this up. So you know how I pronounce it? You know where they come from, right? One of me listening. Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? You guys, and they put aimed in capsule. They want to say despite mango Jones notoriety, his Caucasian complexion work for him on the mainland, but not locally. I disagree. I disagree. I disagree. I disagree. No, no, no, no, no, no, but I disagree. I disagree. I disagree. I disagree. I'm going to tell you why I disagree. It may, it may have not worked for him running for governor, locally. But he was a dominant and prolific, would get a locally running for
delegate to Congress. Right? Yeah. As a matter of fact, when Alex Mohed, affectionately known as Juni Morehead, right? He was a senator for three terms, and then he decided he was run for Adlaj to correct. And he was an ICM candidate. Right? Yeah, man. And he said, well, I got run for delegate in 76. And I go tell you, when the legal put a thrashing on him back in 1976, so much for the mother politics for good. Right? He said me, he said me, or get subjected to this, right? And it was, it was Leon Hess. The same Leon Hess who they like to beat up on and all that stuff. He said, look, that man. I ain't going to take it. I ain't going to take care of you. Right? Yeah. And he played a part and he worked with the refinery for decades after that. Never. Never.
Yeah. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never. Right? Yeah, go ahead. The, you know, like I said, right? You know, see, it's book Don't Booth. This is the electorate that Booth. Right? And back in the day, I would argue the Virgin Islands electorate was not ready to have, you know, a weight. Governor. You know, and I think for many years, the Virgin Islands electorate has not been ready to have a woman governor. Yeah. It looks like that is a boat to change. Well, keep it mine now. Before I get to go my leak, before I keep the face right there. Remember, remember, we had a white, non-elected governor back in the deal, no? Right? Yeah, we didn't vote for them. We didn't vote for them. Yeah, you don't, those are different. We don't have, they were appointed. Right? Yeah, they were appointed. We are predominantly black community.
And even to get elected for Senate in easy, we've had white senators, Clarkay, excuse me, we've had Caucasian senators in the past. Right? But we've also had Caucasian Virgin Islands, Hobania. Right? Right here. Right? So, I don't forget, our Danish history is real. Right? And people try to, they might want to play the separatist game and all that stuff. But we have a history here. You can't tell a law, that day of the Virgin Islands. You got your mind? Right? You can't tell a Paiwan ski. You can't tell a Paiwan ski fund over there and all that stuff, that day of the Virgin Islands. Right? So, yeah. Malikwarn, Malikwarn, this is something. And then I'll come to you. I'll come to you doing Malikwarn, this is something I'll come to you. Malik, you recognize? I have a question of Malikwarn. What is the term designated hitter name? It means that you don't play defense, you only play offense.
Well, that was Brandy Luge's job at a certain time in our history. Correct. Yeah. About time in our history in the late 60s, 70s, 80s. The power broke, especially those that say, I must decide that he will be the designated hitter to the earner. You know, you know, you know, church, I'm like, it seemed like you had some sports novice. But you well-known it as you don't. I mean, leave a little for Hitler, no matter. Not really. No more. No more than it. No more than it. No more than it. A-A in dark school. Dark school. That is an excellent analogy that I'm going to go on the way to know. Absolutely. And I was willing, I was ready to join in, but I know Malikwarn coming with us. Mentality in the body, the Netherlands and the political perception, those guys who had ruled the party. Yes. And understand that, hey, we want somebody like them, like them. And then we want somebody like them to come in.
So Malik, Malik sent you a letter. I want you to hold out for forever. And the name is Ron Bloomberg. Ron Bloomberg. You know who Ron Bloomberg was? Tell me. He was the first designated hitter. In the history of Rachel League Base, well, Ron Bloomberg. So, so, so, since you, since you went there, I had to come back and let you know I did something. Okay. Ron Bloomberg. Okay. The first ever designated hitter in the history of the major league baseball. Go ahead. Is it Bloomberg? Yes. Yes. Yes. Same blue, same, same BLOM. Money Bloomberg. Money Bloomberg. Money Bloomberg. Money Bloomberg. Money Bloomberg. So, I think that's why I was straight to tell you right when I was saying it's born in the man being anil because I once give them an ad vanish. This is the final two.
Correct. And then we have the, we forget that album of the French people from St. Leetian, this is like that. Yeah. Correct. We also contributed to over the years. Correct. So, this, and then this also some, but don't forget, don't forget the nail, the nail, the nail trump them. That's the, yes. And then try them out. Consider that they need. Yeah. Yeah, but, but my league here, in particular here, I'm saying, Roy, we had a lot of folks, a lot of Caucasian families that move here in the 50s and 60s and never left them. Yes, and even earlier, and even earlier. I'm all in them. Like, we've been left in them. A lot of them here. Don't we want Kennedy and think during the, the, the, the two man here is, I think, you know, Ras Mielsen. Yeah. Um, um, it is more, it's a word. Yeah, it's a word. Um, Jojong, Jojong being forever. He lived in the normal name.
Yeah. In the 50s, I talked about in the 30s and 40s during the, the rules of the new, the era, a lot of them came down here. Correct. Malik, I recognize again. I got in the upper motor. So we had a white. The Senate governor named David. David Mark. Correct. No, no, no. Why did he sell some drinks? Yeah. Why did he sell some great? Because he believe he better than people. Well, as a clip, so kind of, but the board and that. Because he was also a designated hitter. He was supposed to make the Evans team complete Evans, one is what the republic. Yeah. And it was presumed you have to have a, a team that represented the ethnic complexity of the country. And so he was a republican. The republic. And then if you are at a time, I have very strong continental. Let's say, big. Yes.
And yeah. And it's segment, segment of the Democrats supported Evans. So if any non-democratic ticket to win, Democrats have to support you. So, yeah. Whatever was a Democrat, that's what I was just going to tell Malik to educate me on that. But if you are Democrat, be willing for that. When he heard it was a great point, he turned with the public. Yes. The public. The making of it. We're willing. That's what led to big. We're willing. Because. Because. It's a republican president. Nixon. Nixon. Correct. We get that. But that's what I'm saying. But that's the point that I'm making. Is that. Yeah. Turned with the public. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm saying my people. But. That's true, too. But I'm saying people who don't know the history of the country. You've got to want to be a Republican. You've got to want to be a Republican. No, I'm a little more complex. But I want to be a Republican. I don't want to be a Republican, but David.
So once they won, and this is a problem in every elected. One. One of the looting in governor. Yeah. Yeah. Once you have the victory, and it's done. It's like a. A wedding. It's like a honeymoon. Once the black cake done, and all for governance. And David, Mark, more power. Yeah. But then the lieutenant governor did that. They that are the instructions to do. Right. He did. He was not the chairman of the balcony board. And he did that front operation. And he's not at that. He did. They wanted simply a lieutenant governor. And he wanted. He wanted. He wanted. He wanted. He wanted more things. This is the shop. And but I don't. Do it again. So when do anyone want it more? I know that. More. You want more. No, no, no, I don't. I don't feel like that. I'm saying, I'm going to speak over our. I'm. I'm. I love it.
I love it. I love to tell him. I'm over here. And I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I don't know. We can't say nothing. There's more. There's more. There are more. There are dead. There are dead. There are dead. There are dead. And then, I know one last piece about this. And so then this election. Adi. Adi went for democratic republic. And I'm. Lieutenant Lovener, Will Venturian. But basically. What they showed. with him. No, but what they showed right is the the the title more valuable than the party label. That's what they said. That's what they showed. That's too. That's too. The position. The position. Meek a whole lawyer like my dad being the party. If I become number two in the Virgin Islands, then I gonna take that regardless of party affiliation. Well, I have to
have to be not done with me. That was it for me. 19. So I'll make never listen. This is what the parties continue to have this challenge, right? Because, you know, it's almost everything else above party. You know what I mean? So when I'm a there's a party. They are my liquid talking about party discipline. So for a show or so. The only way I got that's when you have got something I want to show my own party. They're not with. No, but nobody. But look at what happened. The Democratic party was stronger from a fiber standpoint, right? Yeah. In the 70s that it is today. The Democratic party today is numerically dominant, right? But we really don't know how good the Democratic party is because there isn't a other party out there to challenge them.
They you either. But in addition, but in addition, the Democratic party itself is having a lot of Louis Khaled in tone. No, no, no, no, no, no, not is having. Not is having been having been having. And this is no, no, no, no, no, no, no, this has been a 20 year. This is a 2025 year 10 guy. Not no. Yeah. But but but because of the numerical dominance, right? That's what that's like a masking thing, right? Where because 20, my one of what's the number no 32 out of the last 40 years in the Virgin Islands, you've had a Democratic governor. That's 80% right? They went from 0% for the first 16 years to 80% of the last 40 years, right? And candidates and politicians right now, doc school are of the belief that if I want to be governor, I got to run as a Democrat.
Well, and you see people changing the party affiliation to run for governor and then go back to to what they were. And that is that is true because the Democratic party numerically is number one. Two thirds, two thirds of the 40 population is Democrats. Yeah. If you can call us them and then under the soil system able to reward them, then guess what? You can't be. Well, can I add something? I think also, again, I want to take an academic point of view. If you have a numerically larger opponent, you have to be qualitatively better. I mean, the people who want to go up against the Democrats, that's a big thing. Again, the camera runner campaign where one forces that qualify to run, you know, the chat is the papers where only I have
the numbers. They got to come and go and they can't be pamp. Yeah. Well, we see in the party, three elections, right? The people who want to run up against want to go up against the Democrats, it's the coming with a big game. They have been the A game. I agree. And that's been the campaign. They can't stick to one issue. I'll be luck. No, but, but not only that, Pat Morris, you can wait until the election year to start campaigning if you go in up against some numerical behemoth like the Democratic party. If you run if, if you run if for governor in 2013, 2030, right? And you know that you're not going to run as a Democrat. You got to play that retail politics game from in 2027, 2028. You know, I'm saying this and even before that, you can't sit on home. And then you're like you said, you know, a few months before, you know, you're going to get engaged. You have to be totally engaged every day of your life. If you want to represent the people at a vote in Ireland, we need to see that you are engaged on a regular basis.
And what is going on, you know, in our lives, I'm an allotted issues, but you're constantly at home, you know, and then just come on. Hello. No, we don't have a job. We're not here. We are here. Oh, okay, okay. I thought I wasn't being hot. No, no, no, no. We're here. Fuck. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Hold up a second. Hold up a second. As a matter of fact, I'm a little excited because that really bothers me that you just have people come in outside of woodworks, you know, and they haven't been engaged. And then they're like, you know, votes for me. I don't understand that. Well, you know, I just pull up something here as released to Dr. Evan just just so the people know Melvin Evans, right? He was actually the Commissioner of Health for the Virgin Islands from 1959 to 1967. He did a pro-ong eight-year as a Commissioner of Health, you know what I'm saying? And then he was appointed. They have a project at Benetrin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He switched to Big Tom Governor.
Okay, hold on a second. Hold on a second. 50. And from 1962 to 1966, Dr. Evans was the chairman of the Governor's Commission on Human Resources, and was a member of the Selective Service Board of Appeals for the Virgin Islands from 1967 to 1969. So I think it's clear to say that Dr. Evans paid his dues before he was appointed governor and subsequently elected in 1969 and 1970 respectively. We'll take a break and be back right after this. I know too, so each other, you can see this park fly right there. They were the first couple of crime.

And we're back here. I analyzed this, I'll leave it in the edition of the table talk. In effect, I got Donald Duck's call, Malik Seacool, Dr. Pat Maris and we had rejoining me on the table talk this morning. Good morning to you distinguished Virgin Elders. Glad to have you. Good morning, please. Good morning. You know, I have a subscription to the New York Times. I think it's safe to say that's my favorite. I'm a big, um, periodical, and one thing I noticed, and I mentioned this on the show, over the years, is the New York Times really used to follow everything that happened in the Virgin Islands, every single thing. Right? And... Dr. Phila was done here? Yes. Yes. I remember when I went and I remember when President Nixon came here in 72, 71, when everything was, they let it be known that he landed on the big island and then took the helicopter over to St. John to hang out that landed right there I fell a bongal over there. But when you read, when you read how they, how they wrote about the article when
I'm governor Evans passed. Here's the first thing to say on the doctor Melvin H. Evans, the United States ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago died this morning on St. Croix V.A. after suffering a heart attack. He was 67 years old. He was, uh, he said, Dr. Evans, a physician was appointed ambassador by this, uh, in December of 1981. Right? And then we're going to have to say, right? I mean, I want to give a shout out to Lolo Willis. Juan de Villan Lolo had a nice conversation here. Jimmy Weber, Carlisne and joining in. And we were talking about which elected official over the years had the, the most vast portfolio resume. And Lolo, Lolo did say, Dr. Evans was number one. And it looked like you were right. The guy, when I read this thing, yeah, right? Yeah, right? I mean, this, this, this thing is nice. Right? He said, right? Yeah. And I use nice, yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. No, I wanted to say not because I said, Dr.,
I mean, Dr. come from Calde, go on, I haven't changed to be that, that's something better. No, I want people to understand. No, no, no, no, they can't. So let me tell you, let me tell you what I was 14 years old. I went to Washington DC to the American, the presidential class, who's for young American, made a big semi of that, let's, let's go to your, I love us today. And the baguille hooked me up with a meeting that Dr. Evans was delegated then. Who's meeting with Dr. Evans and that he, me, if his office, who over, I know. And guess what? Back then, I was taking a going to the military academy. And I wanted an appointment to West Point. And I asked him and he says, well, I don't have a flat for West Point, but he gave me an allocation for the Air Force Academy. Are you know what? Are you kidding me? Are you big like that? That Colorado Springs ain't good enough for you. Are you good to have young people? I want to go to the Colorado Springs.
You want to go to the state in New York? You don't want to go to Colorado Springs, are you? But I guess he was so enamored with these 14 years old prison day in the office that represented the margin. No, but that's how he was, man. That's how he was. Military academy appointment. He was a lead people person. I met him when I was about 10, 11 years old. I met him in the parking lot by super foods. He's got super foods. I'm saying, cry over, ain't they my Ruby? Yeah. Right? And he was I care wrong. I know Holy Papadilla done to maybe one, right? And he stopped and shook my hand. And he was a nice guy. But I just read it. His, his, what's the term? Dacia curriculum. V. And I like that one. But I go and say that's the right. Right? I'm right there. Right? How old university grad in 1940? How old university college of medicine in 1944? A master's degree in public health from the University of California at Berkeley in 67
when he had done being a commissioner. Right? He was doing interned at Harlem Hospital in New York City in 1944 and 1945. Physician in charge at the Frederick State Municipal Hospital in St. Croix from 1945 to 1948. Yeah. Serve as a senior. Yeah, man. Serve as a senior assistant surgeon of the United States Public Health Service from 1948 to 1950. Teaching fellow in medicine at Howard University. I mean, municipal assistant in Frederick State when he called back and from 1951 to 1959 he was a chief municipal physician there. And I keep mentioning municipal because we once had municipal government here in the Virgin Islands back back in the day. You know, I'm saying that this man is a, yo, this is a brilliant, original and a Melvin Evans walls back in the early, man. Wow.
I'm the consummate, the consummate public service. Yes. Yes. Everything here got to happen. I'm a public thing about the people. Wow. Wow. I'm supposed to. I'm supposed to really know. I'm heaven. I'm doing Henry is a serial king disciple. You know, I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. And when. And we were. We were six, we were six and seven years old respectively when the fourth election went down in 1970, I went to the Democratic, when the Democratic apparatus said, well, my god, it looked like serial king or we missed thing. They said no. And we need an option. We need an option. And that's that's home.
We never. Over here. Over here. My second place finish in the general election to win the runoff. Yeah, I'm done. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was.
