Hey everyone, Monday is with the mayor. It is March 2nd. Hopefully you had an amazing weekend
and you're ready for the week. So let's get right into what we got going on. We have one lane
on Lake Shore Westbound from Scoop Boulevard to roughly the other side of Scoop Boulevard.
It'll be closed. This is going to be closed for about a month and the reason being is for the
Rainwater Harvesting Project that is happening in between the police department and Town Hall. So
again one lane will be closed but should be able to feel okay. What else we got going on?
Saturday, March 28th at 7.30 a.m. Santa Fe Park is a fun run benefiting the special Olympics.
It is a $30 entry fee. Presky Valley PD is helping to put that on. So again Saturday,
March 28th, 7.30 a.m. You're going to check it out, show up at Santa Fe Park and the fun run will
be through the trails throughout Santa Fe Park. We got our bulk trash disposal. You can register
to join the basically you get a voucher and you can take that voucher anytime between basically
now and June 30th. The vouchers have to be used during that period and you can use them at the
C&D landfill which is on the south end of Lake Valley or the Grey Wolf landfill which is outpass
form on 169. So if you want you can just call, you can show up and just request a voucher as well
and then you take that voucher and it take you down, fill up and throw away whatever you
basically whatever you want except obviously like paint and things that are not
able to be dumped. But good way to do some spring cleaning folks.
Here's a save-to-date for April 11th, spring fair here at Town Hall in between basically starting
at 11 o'clock. This is between the police department and Town Hall as well. Three event,
it'll be bounce houses, food trucks, carpool games, bunch of stuff. We'll talk a little bit more
about that as we move forward but basically put it on the calendar. It's a great event, people love it.
April 11th. And also shout out Dr. Seuss birthday today. Yeah, all week I'll be headed out to
the schools for Read Across America, reading to the kids. Great opportunity. So
pick up a good Dr. Seuss book, read it to your kids if you can. So again, happy birthday,
Dr. Seuss. Finally, bike rodeo. We did say it was going to be March 14th. Got moved to March 21st
over at Park Collective. Great opportunity to get a free helmet. Kids hang out with the police
officers. Starts at 10 a.m. ends at 2 p.m. Over at Park Collective. Collective off of Lake Valley.
So good things. So finally, folks, dad joke, not a bad joke. And because of Dr. Seuss, here we go.
What did the cat and the hat order at the restaurant? One fish, two fish, red fish, and a blue fish.
You have kids. You got it. Hey folks, have a great week. We'll see you out there.
