Mother Who Locked 6 Children in Storage Unit Including a Baby Sentenced to Just Probation | Crime Alert 11AM 03.25.26

I'm Nicole Parton, a woman from Wisconsin has managed to avoid prison time after pleading

guilty to misdemeanor charges of child endangerment for confining her young children in a storage

unit.

Azaia Zelinski faced additional felony charges related to child neglect, but these were

dropped as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.

Zelinski, along with her partner, Charles Dupreest, was arrested after authorities discovered

their six children, ages 9, 7, 5, 3, 2, and 2 months inside a locked storage unit in

Milwaukee.

Police responded to a report of a baby crying on September 16, upon arriving and breaking

the lock.

They found the children sleeping on a sectional couch and a bare mattress inside the unit,

an orange bucket containing urine was in the middle of the unit and officers reported

that the stench was so overwhelming, they struggled to remain inside, even with the

door open.

Meanwhile, Zelinski and Dupreest were found asleep in their SUV parked nearby with their

dog.

Zelinski explained to police that they were homeless after being evicted and mentioned

receiving wick benefits and food stamps and $2,000 in social security payments.

Following the sentencing hearing, prosecutors emphasized that Zelinski bore less responsibility

than Dupreest, describing their relationship as one-sided and controlling.

Zelinski had expressed to police that she felt solely accountable for their situation

and provided truthful testimony during Dupreest trial, where he was convicted on multiple

felony charges of child endangerment he said for sentencing in April.

Zelinski did not address the court during her sentencing, but submitted a letter, which

was part of a sealed record.

Judge Anna Boros, recognizing the distressing nature of the case, praised the mother for

her commitment to sobriety and adherence to court directives.

She sentenced her to nine months for each count, with the sentence suspended pending a

18-month probation period.

As part of the probation, Zelinski must undergo a drug abuse assessment.

In sobriety, complete a mental health evaluation and treatment and attend parenting classes.

She didn't blame anyone else but herself, and she took complete accountability and did

not make any of these children go through the trauma of having to testify on behalf of

their own mother.

Zelinski is scheduled to return to court on July 10 for a review of her probation status

no word as to the whereabouts or safety of the children at this time, many in the community

outraged that this mother walked away with just probation.

A luxury vacation rental owner in California faces serious allegations of secretly

videoing and recording his guess during their stay.

Christian Edwards 44 was taken into custody on March 19 after the Madera County Sheriff's

Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about

a potential child sexual abuse material linked to the property in Oakhurst.

According to the MCSO statement shared on Facebook, investigators identified Edwards

as the primary suspect during the inquiry.

They discovered that the rental home had been used for short term vacation stays and that

Edwards had allegedly recorded guests without their consent during private moments.

Additionally, detectives reportedly found more than 4,000 digital images containing child

sexual abuse material at the home leading to multiple felony charges against him, including

invasion of privacy and the possession and distribution of such material.

MCSO said that upon seizing Edwards electronic devices, investigators uncovered videos capturing

children and women in compromising situations where they expected privacy.

It was noted that Edwards allegedly filmed his guess through gaps in the blinds and secluded

areas, though no hidden cameras were involved in the recordings.

All of Edwards electronic devices have been confiscated for further analysis and authorities

are eager to connect the potential victims who may have stayed at the property Edward began

renting that home in 2023.

A neighbor Amy Gray recounted that Edwards had previously offered her and her children

to stay at his rental expressing concern over his intention saying it seemed odd.

Currently, Edwards is being held on a $75,000 bail according to the Baker's Filled News,

the MCSO is encouraging anyone with information related to the case or possible victims to call

eight-year-old little boy, Callahan Pierce. He was last seen around 7 p.m., near 236

Morene Street in Marshfield, Massachusetts. He was wearing a black Marshfield sweatshirt,

black sweatpants, and carrying a backpack. The young boy was last seen on March 24 officials

and assisting agencies are actively searching and are asking residents in the area to check

their cameras. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Callahan is asked to contact
