Last week Kali Israel lost an extraordinary woman
Malka Galdar, Basra Beliyohu, Allahu Shalaam
She was an anxious Kyle in every sense of the word
The embodiment of dignity and devotion
A woman of deep humility, her fine character, and boundless generosity
She built a home of Torah and Hasith
She uplifted everyone around her
At the labaiya, her husband shared the remarkable story
that captures who she truly was
A few months ago, her Macatana made a wedding in Israel
and her children needed help preparing for the wedding
Despite being weak and exhausted
She gathered her remaining Cochis
and traveled from New York to your Shalaiam for a week to assist them
When she returned home, her husband asked her
While you were in Israel, did you visit anywhere at the bottom to ask for a brother?
And she said no
Did you go to Macatana's adoration to Daven?
She said no
But we so desperately need a Yeshua
And she said, I don't understand
I didn't go for myself, I went to help others
This story encapsulates who she was
A true giver, she lived her life in service of others
That truly no worse to describe the enormity of this loss
Let me share with you a letter I read recently from a man
who went to be Menachem Abel a young bacher who lost his mother
And I'll paraphrase
About 25 years ago, a student that disheve his rough at Schaim in Queens
lost his mother suddenly at a young age
So together with several friends, he traveled from Queens to Brooklyn to be Menachem Abel
He arrived at her home, and as you can imagine
The atmosphere in the home was heavy with sorrow
The groups struggled to find the right words to comfort Davela
After some time, they approached the mourners
They resided at Macamirachem Escham and headed for the door
Just as they were leaving, they noticed someone entering the home
It was the venerable Repdovit Feinstein's at cell
The group toured right around and followed Repdovit back inside the home
Hoping to observe what words of comfort he would offer in such a painful situation
Repdovit sits down in front of the mourners
And he says absolutely nothing
He joined in their sorrow, he expressed his grief, but he remained silent
His presence alone conveyed profound empathy
His silence brought genuine comfort to the family
Repdovit taught the group an essential principle
Contrary to common belief, Nechema Velam does not require eloquent speeches or explanations
Simply being present and sharing in the pain can bring immense consolation
As Repdovit prepared to leave, one of Davela said to him
An earlier visitor suggested that since our mother passed away young
It must mean that she accomplished in a short time
But would normally take others many decades
Repdovit responded
We can't propose theories to explain Hashem's actions
Kiloimak Shavoysemak Shavoysechem
Vloyderechem Deroche
My thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways
We cannot begin to understand Hashem's Hashem's kindness
Likewise, we cannot understand how such an anxious Kyle
A woman who devoted her life to teaching and educating the next generation
Who raised the family of Tamide Khachama
A giver of the highest caliber could be taken from us in the prime of our life
What happened to all that feel us?
What happened to all the Kabbalas?
And yet, despite the heartache and the sorrow, we move forward with Amuna
Because at the end of the day, we believe with complete conviction
That Hashem knows exactly what he's doing
And that all that Hashem does is ultimately for our benefit
Sometimes we see it immediately, sometimes it takes years
And sometimes we may not see it in our lifetime
But we believe with full faith, Kiyata Shumayat Filas Kalpah
Hashem here is every prayer and note, filah goes to waste
And with that, I'd like to share with you a powerful story
In 1976, the Great Rasishiva of Schwul Burm Baam Zatsel
Suffered the devastating loss
His son, Derb Arulab, a great Tamid Khachama
Who was being groomed to become the next Rasishiva
Was accidentally shot in its Israel and passed away
He left behind the young Al-Mana and a house full of little children
After the Laba'ire, Schwul came to his son's home to Sitchiva
We could hardly imagine the heartbreaking scene of a Alterized Aida
Sitting shib with Yogi Simon
The air was thick, the home was full of pain and sorrow
The walls were practically crying
Derb Schwul turns to his grandchildren and he says
Kindle-lach, I want to share with you a part
We know that when Yitzhak Gavina grew old, he became blind
Do you know why?
Sarash explains that when Yitzhak lay on the Mizbeach
During the Akhadeh
But Eusash shot Nifte Khuh Hashemayat
At that moment, the heavens opened up
And the Malachem saw what was happening below
Yitzhak was about to get slaughtered and they started to cry
And their tears fell into Yitzhak's eyes
Causing his blindness later in life
Her shul asked, Kindle-lach, why did the heavens need to open up?
Malachem can see right through everything
Right through all the worlds, right through all the barriers
Sir Schwul explained
From Shemaiam, events are viewed very differently than from this world
But looks tragic and unbearable down here
Maybe seen above as the greatest joy
The Akhadeh, which was agony in this world
Was a moment of immense Semaiam
In fact, we are still reaping the benefits of Akhadeh's Yitzhak to this very day
So the Malachem needed the heavens to open up
So they could feel what Aram and Yitzhak felt
To experience the pain of a serious nephage of human beings
And only then could they cry
Her shul then said, Kindle-lach, down here it is very painful
Tatis no longer with us
Descrying, this grief, their sorrow
But if we had heavenly eyes
We would see that in Shemaiam, there's dancing and Semaiam
Unfortunately, we don't have those eyes
The heavens are closed
So down here, we must sitchiva
This past week, we mock a gold debaust Rabaliyah's family and friends
We're crying and grieving over our loss
The heavens rejoiced when such a precious Nishama entered the Eulama Amos
It's a beautiful deal from Khangshma Levits
He says, when we comfort mourners, we say, Hamakum, you knock him as Kham
As Shem should comfort you
He asks, why do we use the name Hamakum as opposed to any of the other names used to describe Akhen?
He says something remarkable
Hamakum does not refer to Akhen Mabahir
The word mockum in this context literally means the place
Hamakum, you knock him as Kham means the place that the nifter or nefteris created for themselves in Ganaden
By as Shem giving them their reward for all that they have accomplished in this world
That mockum, that place in Ganaden, will be the biggest consolation for them for having to leave this world
And knowing that she earned her rightful mockum
should be the greatest comfort to those who mourn her
May she be a Melitsa Siaysha for our family and for all of Khayisra
