About this episode
There is a pace that gets things done.
And there is a pace that slowly turns you into a machine.
You can move faster, answer sooner, take on more, and keep pushing through exhaustion for a while.
But eventually, speed starts taking things from you.
Patience disappears.
Attention gets thinner.
Conversations become interruptions.
Rest starts feeling like wasted time.
And the people around you begin experiencing the version of you that is always trying to get to the next thing.
Productivity is not worth much if the pace required to maintain it makes you less present, less thoughtful, and less capable of enjoying the life you are supposedly working so hard to build.
You do not always need to slow down.
You need to move at a speed that still leaves room for sleep, relationships, curiosity, mistakes, laughter, and being fully present.
Do the work.
Make progress.
Push when the moment requires it.
Just do not build a life that only works when you are operating at your limit.
Move at a pace that keeps you human.
