I came back, I ended up just staying up last night, like normal, which would be probably the equivalent of like 4 a.m. in England that I was on, but I felt fine. So, all right. Well, we know how, know how we'll all spare does it every single. Yeah, it's, it's easy. Yeah, well, for those that were worried about where in the world is Neil Flanagan. I tracked the man down today. Okay. I hounded him for the exclusive and much of his chagrin, his face is plastered over at Postgresling.com right now, along with our own Jordan Goodman's attempts to find him over the last week. He was like a Leslie Nielsen at the summer slim 94 searching for Neil Flanagan. Well, we, we located him and I chatted with him today

I feel like, you know, because of the summer, we've kind of had to take some hiatus is to make way for the double shot and the G1. So we have a lot of your questions to answer. And this is my favorite show to do. So I'm looking forward to it, John. So that's out Thursday. We want to smack down on Friday, collision course, Saturday and Sunday. We will be doing Sunday nights main event after the show from Atlanta this coming weekend. So all of that coming up. And you know what I'm kicking myself over? I forgot to download your WWF aggression review, which I was going to listen to on the flight back. So that is on my list now to listen to this week. But I heard from people in London who were very happy with the review. Is that right? Yes. Okay. Well, I mean, I was certainly happy with it. And we got to talk to one John Cena to come back for this particular review. So a very popular return from the circles I

4:07was speaking with. I think if it was any other topic related to wrestling, I think he would have turned me down. But considering this was, you know, some wrap related and also wrestling related to his biggest passions. He decided to come back for it. So thanks for that extra plug, John. All right. Tonight, what what a move we go from Wembley Stadium to the credit union of Texas event center in Allen, Texas. Iconic just is iconic. Yeah. Yeah. This is, you know, the second biggest building that Will Osprey grew up dreaming about. I think they were going to do Brett Davie at at this place. This was the backup plan in case, you know, the it rained at Wembley. They were just going to put everyone into a plane and head on over there. And yeah. And Will Osprey's mom would have to voice a whole new video package about you finally made it to the credit union of Texas event center. 3,143 tickets out. And they did this great video recap of all in London to machine head.

5:12I thought this video was great. And they did. It was just going through highlights of the whole show and the music was great. And Excalibur really hit it hard. This was one of the greatest nights in AEW history. And Chavani saying if you have not seen Will Osprey's entrance, you've got to see it. And the match isn't bad either. So I did think overall tonight, like sometimes AEW, I'm critical of them that they just they move on and they put on these incredible paper views. And then it's just focused on the next one. I did think on commentary tonight. They constantly were hitting that like how big this show was. It was one of the greatest nights in AEW history. It surpassed last year's all in. It made you feel like you missed something very important if you didn't see this show. I think that's always important coming off a really big event, which this was. Agreed. Yeah, devoting, you know, they didn't devote the very, very start of the show, but like they led you in, they had Excalibur really kind of set the tone and showed you the crowd that this was a live show. Then going to the video package, hopefully you know, mitigates maybe some of the

6:15the wear that they may see in the quarter hours, which is the reason why I think they don't do video packages as often. But in this case, I, if they do lose anything, it's a worthy sacrifice because like you said, John, sometimes it's worth just like, you know, pumping yourself up a little bit to just like congratulate yourself and to tell everybody who missed it. How great of a job this you did. How important of a show this was. And it was also really relevant content for you to enjoy the rest of the show. If you missed this for whatever reason, now you're all caught up. Now you know who the new champions are and now you can enjoy everything in that fall. So Osprey starts the show and he talks about, you know, he's been crying for the past week. He doesn't want to do anything more. He's also been on a bender since Sunday. Yeah. Probably any wrestler has been on benders for a week, but few admitted on television. Maybe they don't, they're not given the chance, you know, you know, certainly like the Brawling birds. That's kind of their gimmick, isn't it? It sort of is. And I guess he partook as

7:18well. He got he got pissed and then sounds like he was hung over flying over from England. So that sounds fun. And he thanks those that were there from the beginning or just finding him in AEW. And then he talks about Kenny Omega, who he says has been the best wrestler in the world for the past 10 years and still is. He says for 364 days of the year, Omega is better, but it just took one day to become champion and says now we are two and two. And so the crowds chanting one more time. And Osprey said, all I wanted to do, stop there. They're two and two. Okay, officially. Shut up. Fine. What happened to the whole talk about, you know, like my win over you didn't count. I don't believe it counted because you know, I used on Cali. Still what now suddenly accounts. Come on. He rewatched the tape again. And he's like, you know what, I there had to be a winner. We have to declare somebody a winner. And he's now he's now accepting of the Toronto victory. Okay. Fine. Yes. They've also now, um, wait, let me let me do this in my head. Yeah. All four

8:24matches have been in different countries. Right. PWG Toronto, Japan, Japan and England. Yeah, England. Amazing. Well, where's the next one? Morocco. I would suggest space, actually. You got to go off planet for the okay. So he could just do a regular tiger drop. That's right. Yeah. So, um, they really dangled this idea of doing of fifth match between these two, um, stating that well, Will says, I just wanted to be considered your equal. So I'm fine with being two and two. But if you're not fine with that, then just name the time and the place. I thought that was really interesting that they just dangled that out there because there's part of me that thinks like, I don't know if they can present these two in a bigger match than what they just did. Yeah. Sure. But this certainly seems like this is something like they, they threw out there. And the fans are going to want it. Um, but that that's going to be really, really ambitious to try and

9:29top what they did on on Sunday on Sunday. In the immediate aftermath of their match on Sunday, I don't think anybody would have minded if you never saw the match again because you just saw what would probably be the best version of it. But when enough time passes, I simply, even if you can't top it, doesn't mean you can't do it again. You know, like I don't sense this, like, you know, being a tease of them building to it like right away or even within like the next few months, it just to me maybe seems more of a, you know, just keeping things a little bit open ended so that you may have something to look forward to again, when these two cross paths one more time. It could be years from now. Maybe it should be years from now, but I don't know. It's just at least got years. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good point. But I do, I don't, again, I don't know if they have like, you know, Tony has an idea of when he would exactly want to do this, but I do think like you got to let the audience maybe you know, cool down from into a little bit more. Maybe forget this match just a little bit so that we can anticipate the next one on a smaller stage because

10:33how could you possibly match? Wembley, right? So this just felt more of a, you know, to be continued, you know, to me. He rattles off the names of the past AEW champions with a few omissions. There was no mention of Phil nor MJF. He didn't mention him either. And he said that of the ones he listed, those guys were my heroes, but now I am amongst them. My idols are now my rivals. And I've struggled in the past saying that I was the best in having confidence issues, but I am now the standard. I'm the best in the world. And if you want to take this from me, you have to walk through the same fire I did to get it. And thanks to United Empire, they're the reason that he succeeded. And they will have their version in Japan. I am going to have my version here in the US. So this was the introduction of Will's empire that he will be introducing here in AEW. The United States Empire, the United States Empire. I don't think so. Yeah, interesting. So I love the idea

11:38of Will like leading his own faction now. Like he's, he's certainly a big enough name to support it. There's a growing roster of guys who could use the attachment to a lost bridge to be given that spotlight. I hope it's all new guys that they're going to sign this brand new people from outside just to add. No, of God. Yeah. But it does like the fact that they might be using the the United Empire name. Like really just to me, this episode, especially really does continue to like show off how how strong the AEW new Japan relationship is for them to just be able to freely use each other's IP this way. Yeah, I mean, it's, I think ultimately it is, you know, it's to new Japan's benefit because this is going to mean, you know, they're going to get their match with Will at some point with with Callum Newman. And I think AEW can kind of, hey, we're going to be promoting your guys on our television. And I think that's a big part of where the power dynamic has shifted all

12:40these years. Whereas in 2019, I don't think new Japan viewed AEW as like a benefit to them. And now it's, you know, it's, it's not that AEW is a giant in Japan, but this is exposure for them and it's their partner. The problem is like this explosion report. It's also a scout of your future. Yeah, to join your own company. And I could totally see a Tony Khan just falling in love with Francesco Akira with Honore with Callum Newman. I mean, they're all looking good so far. They are in true or Ospreay is interrupted by the demand. And Ricochet says they have unfinished business. And he puts over the match on Megan Ospreay had and wants the first title shot. But before Ospreay can answer, outcomes Gabe kid and Clark Connors, no David Finley on this show. And kid says how that Ospreay stole his chance to become the first British world champion. Ricochet and kid get into it. And kid says, I don't want to take his title. I want to take his

13:43life. I want to kill him. So the United Empire show up when it's appearing to be five on one. And they backup will and a 10 man tag is proposed for tonight's main event. And that is what we would get. Yeah. Like who would have thought all those years ago, seeing Ricochet and Ospreay, these two flippy dudes, who would have thought like several years later they would be able to lead a segment strictly through their talking. Vader. He saw it. Vader, of course he did. Yeah. But we were talking about Ricochet and Ospreay, two guys who I think at this point feel like they are fully formed, complete acts. While wrestling is still very much, I think the thing they do the best and it's the reason why we watch them and still love them. They're talking to me is getting up there to be like, you know, just as big of a part of their appeal. Certainly with Ricochet, you know, he's seen the most success now, you know, being somebody who can also talk for himself. And I think you could say the same, but we'll Ospreay. So it really is just interesting to see

14:46them like rekindle their view now that they are just far more complete versions of themselves. And this was this was the beginning of, you know, just setting up all these people that are after will Ospreay, whether we get the matches, you know, soon later or if it's even just going to happen, like you have Ricochet in the mix, Gabe Kidd and coming in, we have we already at Andrade and MJF established and those would be. And Cal Newman too, like you have all these people targeted. This is his next six months, like all pretty much in these scenes. Yeah. September on the post wrestling cafe, we're going to be presenting two editions of Rewind Away as we go back to February of 1997 to review the In Your House final four pay-per-view. First match of the night, it's Swerve Strickland and the new level against the Rascals for the Trio's belts and the crowd is into this right off the bat. And this is great. And I like, it costs a lot of money, I'm sure, to get this license music. But I mean, Boy, does it make such a big difference, especially to set the vibe for somebody's debut? No doubt they would receive a great reaction either way, but I mean, come on. Getting the say sad for Erksell and just really makes it feel that much of a bigger deal, I think. Okay. What do you think he got like some kind of loyalty program discount for Furg with a side of a bush and the who all together? Do you think they're like, okay,

16:57this is a lot. We're going to give you like a 20% discount because you're getting all three songs. Well, who like do do do to all those bands own are they all signed? I have no idea the ownership. I just imagine there were some big checks spent on all of this music over the last week. Yeah, I don't know if there's like a combo deal for license music like that. I'm not sure. So this match was maybe our latest example of just seeing two very distinct WWE acts in Austin Creed and Kofi outside of a WWE environment and Kofi Kingston Kofi is listed on Wikipedia as being 45. The men did not look 45 in this match. I thought both of these guys look tremendous in this match and they felt so I feel like I have not seen these guys in a 13 minute match on television uninterrupted in years at this point. So they had a super crowd for this match and

18:04they had three really great opponents in the rascals. So early on we see Kofi. He does this back flip off the shoulders of Austin landing onto Wens. The crowd is chanting new level throughout the match. New level does these hand springs off the edge of the apron into double DDTs on the floor and Kofi lands a trust fall followed by a boom drop onto Myron Reed and then it's Wens with a hand spring right into Swarves flat liner. Xavier comes in he stops a house call. There's triple super kicks and they triple team Swarve and Xavier gets caught on the floor landing into an SOS from Kofi followed by a suicide dive from Creed and then in the spot of the match Myron does the flame on to Creed. But on top of it comes down to the floor landing a Rona onto Swarve and this thing looked spectacular. Kofi hits a trouble in Paradise and Xavier then does the hand spring flip into a house call. This was nuts as well and then new level hit. What was the daybreak?

19:12I don't know if we will have a new name for this next week and then the house call delivered by Swarve, Pins Xavier in 12 minutes and 57 seconds. I thought this was a great trio's match that these six at and new level looked they looked so rejuvenated in this match. The crowd was hot and I just thought this worked very, very well. You know, coming in I certainly had some curiosity about how the new day would fit with a non WW style of promotion. I mean, this team has only ever wrestled as a team in that system and they've had great matches but the standard is really far higher in AW and putting them in with the rascals is to me like throwing them pretty close to the deep end as far as like your modern pace and modern style of like you know, Tech Team Wrestling goes and I thought like this trio fit like a glove with a team like the rascals. I mean, you know, it's not like Kofi and Creed are changing too much of their game from what we've seen but I do think the matches is happening at a faster pace with no slowdown at all. None of these sort of like

20:15to me like Trophy, you know, like slow down the action as you like build to the hot tag, you know, it and I think obviously like they they're great together but they also have great chemistry with Swarve who in this match really felt like the killer of the group. You know, he was the one who despite like, you know, the sort of like shiny new toys in the new day like Swarve to me still looked the most spectacular of them all and I think that you know, Boatswell really for him as a being a part of this. I think the new level bring like a fun atmosphere to the match that you don't typically get with with these sort of performances. So that felt fresh, that felt different and this crowd was totally with them and they certainly were, you know, the major contributors to that vibe. I thought the rascals were great and as much as this match was meant to showcase the new level, I mean, it was my my own read that really stole the show, you know, with that incredible combo to the floor. So I mean, I would say like he and really everybody involved to pick every advantage of the spotlight

21:18and I thought they all made it stronger impression. I thought. As Swarve and the new level are walking to the back, the young bucks come out. So they share some words as the bucks are on their way to the ring and Mackets on the mic stating, we're not going to complain about Copeland and Cage cheating and screwing us on Sunday, but then proceeds to complain about them cheating and screwing them on Sunday and want to call them out to see if you guys are satisfied with that win at all in. But instead FTR comes out with Stokely and Stokely is bringing up how they blew it at revolution. They blew it all in. Do you guys really want to lose a third time for the tag titles and Dak springs up how they beaten the bucks and they beaten Cage and Cop and we're going to become four time champions. Nick also points out that we too have beaten you and unlike you guys, we've never quit. So now Cage and Copeland come out to Cage's music and Cage states that they

22:20don't ask how you won. They just ask who won and they are still the champions. He takes off his arm brace, revealing that his arm is fine now. And we were supposed to be old and over the hill and yet we beat both of you. And he's surprised that they weren't embarrassed enough to go take a 50% pay cut and go somewhere else. Yeah, which I mean, if we break this down, if they were, if they quit AEW and they go to WWE, it would it would it be they're taking a 50% pay cut from what they were making in AEW because you can't sign with WWE and then take a pay cut as you're entering the company. That's your base pay, right? Yeah, I don't know if that necessarily makes sense as much, but I mean, you did that. We know what what he was referring to. Yeah, it was well timed after after the interview. So Copeland says that he is the voice of reason and says that we he asks

23:24or sorry, he states that we are better than that when he refers to how they want it wimbley. Although Cage is to shake his head, he's like, no, we're not. And he proposes a match, a three way match at all out that will include chairs. It will include tables and it will include ladders. Ladies and gentlemen, it's a CTL match. CTL, CTL. Yes. They're actually just building it as a ladder match. And probably for copyright reasons, you know, we wondered if they would be going in this direction. I think John, you were not at all curious to see these two try to live up to that very high standard at their age, but they are doing it. And like this was to be the original idea that I thought they were headed towards for all in, you know, a TLC match involving these three teams. Instead, they are doing it for all out, which, you know, seems like it is like maybe spreading the wealth, you know, and automatically makes all out feel like it's got a must see match, you know,

24:30it's not just these three teams facing each other, but they are also having to live up to the very high, sort of like nostalgic standard of that particular match. So it's a big, big one. And I hope that they are all safe. And don't take too much risk. That's a nice hope. I don't think that's going to be the case. But yeah, I mean, it's a very marquee match for Chicago for the end of the month. And yeah, it's you are you looking forward to it? What are your listen, I'm sure it's going to be a spectacular match. It's I'm not surprised they are going this direction. I'm just I'm really over the the ladder matches at the stage, but it's it's right there for them to do. So you can't be surprised that they're going this direction. And it felt after the bucks lost that this the

25:33only question would have been if they were going to do this with the two teams, but they're involving FTR as well. Yeah, these feel like the top three teams, you know, certainly in a W right now. And they have story attached to each other. They've kind of, you know, had each other dance around. They're various feuds together. So it feels like the right way to culminate. Like this edging Christian story so far. I was expecting a bit more of a sort of like heelish like confirmation from Adam Copeland here, but he's still very much playing like on the good guy and the team. Christian is the asshole, but like I'm still the good guy. So I wonder if they're actually headed towards that direction or if they're just like keeping this as a sort of like, you know, one guy's the bad guy, but I can be the good guy type of vibe. Or maybe that's the route they go that he's the guy who says he's like, he's the veteran. He's honorable. But then in the heat of the moment, he deferred to Christian like he did on on Sunday that it's like he's his words don't match the actions. Yeah. How about at the end of this like we have the winners of the

26:37latter match, they prevail after this big war. Do you think that would be a great time to debut the Motor City machine guns? Well, they're showing up on collision. So oh, that's right. Yeah. So these guys get the latter match at the pay review. The machine guns are they're on collision. I imagine the bucks win this one so that we and then the the new day or sorry, the new level challenge them after that. I would say if the bucks are winning this, I almost question why FTR is involved. Like I feel it should just be these two teams that you'll see has to be three teams. Does it usually? Yeah. Okay. Well, I mean, it's going to be a spectacular match. That is probably a given for this one. Lexi Nair interviewed Osprey in the United Empire and Osprey explains having his United Empire and Newman kind of takes exception to this and he explains he doesn't

27:37need Newman's permission and Newman's got them covered because they need a fifth man tonight for the 10 man tag and he is enlisted and Roday who is going to be Will's future opponent as well. So who they actually explain is already a part of the United Empire. Yes. Like there was a storyline reason. I kind of liked how this all connected. Like he is attached to the United Empire and he's obviously attached now to Will with the contract. Yeah, this is actually like brilliant or just incredibly like convenient that they happen to have the guide that is challenging Will anyway. Be already a new Japan affiliated with his own faction. So I mean, there's some other really brilliant sort of like, you know, foresight going on with all of this or they just like found all these pieces and managed to put them together perfectly. Darby Allen, Mark Davis for the TNT Championship. This thing went like 10 minutes before the bell even wrong because Darby skates down the ramp and gets blindsided by Mark Davis. Calluses on commentary and he just murders Darby throwing him into the rail, tossing him over the time keepers table. They go into the crowd. Eventually Darby climbs a balcony for a coffin drop off the balcony. This is all the pre match. And then runs Davis over the barricade and as he goes over Davis comes down and smashes his knee right on Darby's head. And Davis is like grabbing his knee. Darby, maybe he's concussed from this, who knows. And then the match finally begins and

29:42this sound nearly blew out my speaker because Don Calluses headset short circuited. Either his headset exploded or the riots were about to make their AWW. One of the two was about to happen with the sound, but it was it was jarring to say the least. Yeah. Yeah. And it took him off of the desk for like a majority of the match. It felt yes. Davis just pommels him with strikes and Darby then ties Mark Davis to the tag rope in the corner. But he breaks free. He killed him with this sliding forearm. And then Darby goes to the code red, nearly loses him in the midst of hitting it and hits a coffin drop onto the back another on the chest. And Darby retains the TNT belt in nine minutes and 22 seconds of pretty pretty safe. They they they worked very light. Just good good old fashioned like you know, catches catch can and you know, not a mark on these guys

30:45either. I mean, this is the kind of match, you know, you know, that you've had a good night at the office when the audience they respond and you don't feel the thing. So what did Darby Allen have? Like I mean, like how much inactivity the guy that the guy actually enjoyed over the summer? Like he probably took a look what like two weeks off after that like championship rain and has just like continued to work this pace. And now that he's got the TNT championship, I mean, we know the pace that he's going to be working at. You're probably going to get a total defense every single week. He said just as much, you know, bring him back the open challenge, right? And that means every single week you're going to get at least this level of stunt show. Now it's not I suppose like the sort of like grind of like having to fulfill a main event world title defense every single week, but it's not so far off. You know, like he took a beating on this one for Mark Davis and it was tremendously entertaining. He you're going to get from both of these guys, but especially Darby Allen like the most effort that he could give, you know, for this level. And

31:46I thought they delivered a great little match anytime these two are in there together. They just have great like awesome Tanaka energy. And Davis like just tossing Darby around any monster tossing Darby around is just a lot of fun. But I think Davis is probably the best monster in the company right now. So this was great. I thought is Darby going to be this generations Masato Tanaka that is still going to be doing this in 25 years. I think there are a number of candidates for that role, but maybe Darby is probably the leader of it, I think. So Darby gets jumped by Rapongi Vice when Stephen Borden appears. And we get to see his big leap frog and high drop. I mean, this guy has incredible height that he gets on these these vertical leaps. And he has a face off with Davis and all of a sudden, I cannot wait to see Stephen Borden against Mark Davis one day. I'm very curious to see Stephen Borden just put into matches now because we're obviously going to that. He is now a character on the show. And he's got to be, you know, having a televised match

32:51pretty soon or or save him for a pay per view. Probably with Darby, he probably should be in the tagging situation. And then Borden gets jumped by the returning Josh Alexander who nails Borden and then puts Darby in the ankle lock. And Davis piled drives Stephen Borden. So a lot here. And probably setting up Borden's first tag program and Alexander's back in the mix here too. So that could be someone for Darby. But what I liked about this show is that man, they they set up a lot of stuff. Like I thought booking wise, this was a really effective show because it set you up with all these different directions of where all these key characters. They just have all these opponents set set up for them. Yeah. I mean, all in certainly felt like a real culmination. And the ends of like heroes journeys were a lot of people. And the dynamite after all in is where you get the heels or a different set of heels getting heat on these baby faces. And this kind of,

33:53you know, certainly spelled out to Darby's next chapter, some version of a team with Stephen Borden. MJF promo. This was after all in where he cuts a promo on Will Osprey stating he is what is wrong with my life. He was screwed at Beach break because Osprey screwed him. But no one did anything about it because they don't like me. And he says that I am better than all your favorites that you grew up with. I'm the biggest needle mover and payback is coming for Will Osprey. But you don't know when it's going to happen and you won't see it coming. It could happen on dynamite. It could happen on collision or it could happen on a pay for review. Could happen anywhere except New Japan. I don't think it'll be. It's not going to happen any Japan. It's just under on an attack you like a non-draughty match. What for MJF to have an Andrade match? Yeah. Yeah. It kind of feels like they're going to Osprey and Andrade sooner than later. So I don't know if they'll even bother with that. Megan Bain against Alex Windsor. So this match included a Windsor taking a bunch of Germans and then a Falcon arrow. There was this rough looking blue thunder bomb by Windsor, but completed it. And we get double clothes lines on the floor. Lena cross grabs the belt. But Jamie Hader strikes her

35:54and they start they start brawling. So of course, the referee is distracted by the by the two of them. The two people not in the match allowing one of the people in the match Bain to nail Windsor with a belt shot and then hits the mega bomb in 10 minutes and 48 seconds. And it would feel like because this this women's tag division consists of very few teams that we're just going to run this one back on non-British soil. I can certainly see a rematch already happening for all out. And I I could I could actually see them winning the titles back. You know, you got your hometown pop for the brawling birds. Now let's continue to the division. You know, regular, at least scheduled programming with a divine domain. And I don't know. I feel like the headline in this match though was that like divine dominion needed to cheat in order to beat Alex Windsor. And I don't know if that was a point that was like driven hard enough by the announcers. You know, I also like Megan Bain is the co-plant of this team. She's she's she took advantage of it, but she is the voice of reason.

36:59Lena Cross meanwhile is the the full fully fleshed out villain. But I also continue to feel that this is a feud and even a division that I think is lacking in depth and lacking in like actual story, you know, and TV time to tell those stories beyond just like the action that you're going to see in ring, which in this case, I thought was like strong hard hitting, but I don't feel that much, you know, really for either Alex Windsor or Jamie Hader. Well, what if divine dominion win the tag belts in Chicago? And then we start the run up to dynasty in Liverpool. So they just want to the brawling birds, they win once a year in England. Yeah, that is the streak. They can only win these titles. I don't Lexi there is with Chris Jericho. He explains he didn't win the casino gauntlet, but he also didn't

38:00lose because Nick Wayne was the one who was pinned and when you know it, Nick Wayne is right there. And he comes in and says he owned the ring on Sunday and he took Jericho out of the match and says, I've already got 10 years of experience and I'm only 21 Jericho comes back and says, I had 15 years of experience when you were born. That's a lot of that's a lot of time. And then he makes fun of Nick Wayne's necklace, which is an easy thing to make fun of with Nick Wayne. And this leads to blows and the battle over the necklace with Jericho getting kicked in the balls and left laying. So looks like Jericho and Nick Wayne in a multi generational battle coming up next. It's an interesting combo. You know, like I think you're taking, is he your youngest guy on the roster or not at this point? Do you know which? Off the top of my head, I would I still think

39:02he's the youngest because Brody Lee Jr. doesn't take a look at him. But youngest proper like full time or maybe anyway, somebody on the younger at least among the men there. And where is Jericho? Like is he is who's older than Jericho? Jericho. It was sting on. I don't think this thing. So you might be talking about the polar ends of the age spectrum here in AWN. And that presents to me, like I don't know, like some interesting, you know, natural storytelling and you could have between the two. I do think like Wayne is still very much like he's getting better with all the backstage stuff. But I think he's still like like a way the way from like to me reaching like the standard, like at this point, the high standard. I think in AWN, you even. So we'll see what he can do with this Jericho feud because I think I expect a lot more, you know, behind the scenes storytelling stuff. Mercedes had her celebration where the whole ring was decorated and she had some tequila with her. And she talked about this being the the only place where the women's evolution could

And where she wants to take this division, it doesn't even exist yet. And with that, we hear Tecla showing up in the crowd with her own cup of tequila. And she likes Mercedes, but Mercedes, you've never been toxic. And she too mocks Willow. And since winning the title, Mercedes,

41:04I've noticed you like to swing it between your legs, but no one swings it like Tecla. This was definitely one that had to be seen to fully understand. And she takes issue with Mercedes of late using the term dumb bitch. And thus we have the entire premise of this feud because there's nothing. Tecla says she hates more than a dumb bitch calling another dumb bitch, a dumb bitch. You dumb bitch. And chugs her drink and wants her title back. What a weird segment this was. But I thought it was like everything I needed to be. I mean, like Tecla's brutal. I think just read off the page. It, it, it, it, I don't know if it like, I don't know if many people could read those words and like, have a come across that way, but her delivery, I think is so strong, so charismatic. I, it's interesting now. Like she is still technically, I think a heel because, you know, she's a part of like a heel faction. She hasn't really done anything to turn baby

42:06face, but I think she is like driving up in a segment like this, her baby face appeal. You know, by doing the things that I think like are getting her cheered and getting her like, I, you know, like audience interest in that's like calling people dumb bitches. That's like being, like saying ridiculous things, being funny. And just like, I don't know, generally, a being on off the wall character. And I thought she did a great job of that. So it's a, it's a, it's a strong match as a follow up for Mercedes, I feel. And both women, I think, are heels that you could consider fan favorites, but I do think Tecla is entering this one as the bigger fan favorite. Well, it's, I do, I do enjoy the nod to the TNA knockouts division of a years gone by with a, the dumb bitch reference that you still always be. I mean, that was, that was generally every backstage segment involving the knockouts in the mid 2000s. Of course, it kind of still is. Yeah. To a degree backstage, brick bakers with Percy.

43:10And Baker explains that she didn't just come back for not for a gamble. She came back for a guarantee and Percy has a killer instinct and is going to take this division to somewhere greater. How great. This Saturday, she will defend the TVS title against Vertvixen on collision. I am, I am baffled that after nearly two years, yeah, Britt Baker is back as a heel and is the week before the rubble show, the week before the rubble show. She's a heel. And in this, like, nothing manager role, like, I'm sure this is going to eventually lead somewhere, but this just felt like nothing really strange, really, really strange. Like this just feels like such a waste. Undercard act of this. And even in this short segment and granted it's the first week, I just feel these two have like, I sense like no chemistry here. Like these two people would never

44:14have any alliance in real life. Like, there would be nothing. They feel so opposite. Yeah. I'm still trying to figure out what, what brick Baker like wants out of this relationship. What is she exactly back for? To propel her, her Stephanie to the top of the TBS championship division. She's that why she's come back. She's a champion. Like, she doesn't need any more. She wants the, she wants the TBS title to be taken to new levels. Is that what she's saying? Is that why she came back after two years to do that? That makes two years. That's what got her back. Okay. And I don't get it. I don't think they have. Imagine after all those years, this is what CM Punk came back to wrestling for. Like, this is how he was brought back into AEW. He wanted the TNT title to reach higher stature and he was going to manage. I think it's a terrifically awful reason that they haven't thought out very well. I think it's a disservice to Persephone who I thought was doing perfectly fine talking by herself. This relationship with

45:19Britt Baker, I don't think does it really anything for her. In fact, I think it takes her down. Yes, I can understand if you're doing all this to build to, I don't know, a future feud between the two, but this feels like a really weird way to go about it. It also is a tremendous waste of I think the value you built inadvertently from Britt Baker's absence that I mean, she should have absolutely just come back as a baby face. You should have saved her return for next week as some sort of big climax to the show. Or even wait it like, I mean, maybe you want to have her come back before because they are going to be in Pittsburgh at the end of the month. And maybe you want to next week is before the Pittsburgh. Well, yeah, you could have brought her back there. I don't know. I don't know. I don't get this. Yeah, not at all. Like she's coming back as Persephone's sidekick. There must be more to this like that that we aren't aware of yet. That's only my speculation,

46:20but it's really strange. John Moxley and AR Fox, a continental eliminator, eight minutes, 22 seconds. This one went moxley used a head scissors early on while tying up the legs. And then there's a rolling cutter by Fox. He got some offense in here with a bunch of laryts, but Moxley wouldn't go down swan tonn lands on Moxley's knees. And then Fox recovers gets a 450 for a two count and then gets caught in the choke into a death rider and Moxley wins, which was the predetermined outcome that everyone expected here. This felt more like a like a match you would see on collision. And that like, you know, like it felt more like a match for just like a great wrestling matches sake and without really any sort of like bigger ramifications, though they did mention at the in here, this puts mox up there as AW's all tonn win leader. So I mean, I don't know if that was the only point or if it was just to simply get Moxley a win heading into.

47:22Well, he won the C C three. So like shouldn't that be enough to justify it? No, no, you got to you got to punch the last box and AR Fox. You got to beat AR Fox. Okay, get a eliminator win. That gets to the paper you made about. So Lexi is with Don Callis Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight and a night blame sting for his loss on Sunday and then him and Kyle argue about who had the worst loss on Sunday. And Callis wants them to get along and face juice Robinson and Ace Austin on Saturday, O'Cotta walks in. And this man has no match announced for collision. He's just here in Texas to say family Kyle, family. Sky has the cushiest job on in AW. He has few lines, but he usually delivers those lines very well. He delivered them perfectly. But main event, yeah, more family, more Callis family drama this time now. It seems like Takeshira has fully divorced himself from all of this. And instead,

48:26you've got Kevin Knight inserted into this mix. Will Osprey and Roddy, Calum Newman, Hanare and Francesco Akira against the demand Gabe Kidd and Clark Conner's very entertaining match. Ricochet immediately tags out avoiding Osprey. So instead, Hanare and Toa have this huge striking battle. Francesco Akira, I thought again, this guy looked really great in this match. He's just not only does he do like his, his flying and stuff, but he did a fair amount of comedy in this match that I thought worked as well. Like this guy is and I thought Hanare had a great showcase here. It's why do they, why did these guys come across so much better in AW? Why do they feel so much more special in AW? It's, I mean, to, to a degree, like it's, I think that the United Empire, they've been presented a bit better in, in New Japan overall, but you're watching this here and it, it kind of feels like the audition stage for these guys that I would say within a year, you would expect most of these

49:31guys to be here. That's my, that would be my expectation. The entire New Japan roster to make their way over to AW. Imagine if an a year, or was on collision every week. So Akira comes off, Will shoulders for a centon. And Roddy hits his big tournilo to the floor and then the whole team does a selfie with a woman in the front row. Awesome. Great. Ricochet power bomb, Akira off the apron onto all of the teammates. And then it's Akira attacking GOA just with all these forearm strikes and they no sell all of it. So the crowd gets an amusement out of that before they, they throw them away. There's a Topic on hero by Newman. And then finally Osprey and Ricochet are in and they do just enough of, you want to see another match between these two at some point. And it would seem they're sort of dangling that maybe for a TV one of these weeks. Hanara hits these big leaping headbutts and then it's Conor's in for the spear on Newman. And and Roddy saves Osprey from a spear by landing a deal Delos Muertos and leaves Conor's on his knees

50:38for a hidden blade and Osprey pins him 13 minutes 52 seconds and it's Osprey and and Roddy getting along shaking hands for, you know, and Roddy save and working together to get the win. But they do, they I the contract and they know that this is what's going to get in between this, this burgeoning friendship. Kid then yanks and Roddy out and they start brawling because they're going to have a match on collision. Osprey is fighting with Gabe kid. So he's another one in the mix here. And it ends with a low blow by kid and he gets a chair when the death riders arrive and kids got a big smile on his face thinking the death riders are going to help him. But instead they stop him and it's moxley stand getting in front of kid and blocking him from hitting Osprey with the chair. And that prompts and Roddy to take kid out of the ring and moxley simply stands over the title belt, walks over hands it to Osprey and they're staring at one another and with that Photoshop boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and they create a graphic for all out and dude John moxley did his

51:44best Ruby Riot here looking shocked at this at this image as they realized what this means that they will headline all out on September 26 as the crowd chance holy shit and we have two matches for all out to conclude this two hour and 25 minute edition of dynamite and they're two very big matches to announce for a pay per view it's moxley versus Osprey it's TLC with Copen Cage versus Hardys in FTR so they're certainly getting ahead of not the Hardys but oh I'm sorry the box yeah yeah back in my 2010 mindset here so I thought this whole thing like you know from the match to this close I thought was great I thought the match was outstanding you know like these united empire guys they always look awesome in the AW every single time we've seen them and as a faction I love that they can just simply pop in a few times a year and just kill it and then go

52:45back to their home planet you know they like they feel like such a special attraction and they've just established enough this this relationship they have with Osprey along with like everything that they're doing with Newman and Osprey in New Japan that that like has made me really interested in this story you know continuing to unfold now with like the United States empire and in the in the Japanese version um I'm also I also love that like EW isn't afraid to make like guys like Hanare got guys like Francesco Akira look strong above their own roster again of course there may be you know we may they may not be uh you know of of another roster for that much longer but still like you know at least for now nothing seems to be guaranteed and they look very special as a W as New Japan guys um I think this this segment man had so many great moving elements that like put together one cohesive story out of several threads for Will Osprey in this segment alone you've got like you're on trot A match that's being built up you've got your

53:46ricochet match that's being built up you have a Gabe Kid match that's being built up you have John Moxley you have Callum Newman so you got five opponents MJF MJF alone yes MJF as well you know six opponents being built up for Will Osprey right off the back and I I think that's A EW to me like some of their story telling at its best when they can just like new champion here's here's the menu for like the next you know six months it's yeah I really enjoyed this closing segment I I enjoyed this as a follow up to uh all in over I thought this was a very good follow-up episode it was like you got you got um I really enjoyed the main event I thought the new level Swarth match with the rascals was a great match to start things off you got the Darby car crash match with Mark Davis but more importantly was just setting everything up this does not feel like it's okay the big show is over and now we're gonna you know it's this natural fall down or this lull that comes after it they invested for months and months this Moxley program and we consistently

54:50said it like you have this program and whether you thought it was coming at all out or later like this is not some cold match that they're going to or just boom we just need an opponent like all of this has been built for months at this point and really kind of culminated on Sunday with the entrance and how they will build this up over the next four weeks so you know this is this this is the crazy you wanted to get announced this isn't the crazy tournament they've had in the past between like all in and all out like they actually have a few weeks here to be able to like you know build to all out but I you could argue they didn't really need it because like they've done so much great foundational building of like this all out main event in Moxley versus Osprey that this feels like a very well-irmed main event and not one that you're just you're just rushing to in a short amount of time right so they've done a great job of like you really can concurrently building to two pay-per-views at once in this lead up to the all-in main event so there you go that
