And to fandall.com to get started, that's fandall.com fandall player game.
All right, we had a busy evening here at Golden One Center.
I am still here in the belly of the beast as people clean up the arena and make sure
that everything looks perfect for the upcoming double well back to back that's going to happen
on Tuesday and Wednesday here in Sacramento.
Today's show.
We're going to cover a bunch of things, but we're going to finish with six week thoughts
like we do every single Sacramento Kings game.
We're going to talk about a very motivated Malik monk.
And but before we do that, we're going to talk about Russell Westbrook, Mr. Triple Double
and it's been a weird week here in Sacramento, got to be honest with you.
The Russell Westbrook media session was different.
It was something very strange and very unique here that we haven't seen a ton of.
But that happened earlier, you know, like Thursday night.
We've had a little bit of time to digest it.
But then Russell Westbrook comes out in this game and he turns back the clock.
He looks like the player that everyone out there has known and seen and loved for the
last 18 seasons of NBA basketball.
And it's interesting because it's the dichotomy of Russell Westbrook, the sort of the two
sides of a player that you don't usually see.
And I think it was it was fun to watch the 37 year old go out there and remind people
of who he is as a basketball player, not who he is as a personality or who he is speaking
to the media or any of that stuff.
So for me, I thought it was an interesting night.
He came out looking for a shot right away and it was kind of it was a unique situation
because the Kings came out passing the ball better than they have all season long.
And look, the Chicago Bulls are not a good team.
They're all over the place here in the second half of the season.
They've traded away at ton of players.
It's actually interesting to watch because every time someone new came in the game, you're
like, man, I forgot that he got traded to the Bulls.
You know, so when you're watching Isaac Okoro or Yabaselli or man, Colin Sexton, I am
for any time.
This didn't play tonight.
But you just kept being reminded that they blew up their team and have all kinds of
new players.
What I saw from the opening tip and Russell Westbrook was a lot of this was that the Kings
kind of controlled the pace, the tempo over the game.
And in the end, you know, well, initially like right off the bat, you could see the sharing
of the ball was different tonight.
And we got to a point where seven of their first nine shots, I keep tracking seven of
their first nine shots are all assisted baskets.
And that's unusual for this team.
It's not been a good offensive team all season long, but they just kept making the right
play.
And I looked up and nine players had played and Russell Westbrook had started the game.
And him and precious to two, I believe when Russell Westbrook came out of the game, those
were the only two players that didn't have an assist in this contest to start.
Then when Russell came back in, it was electric.
It was just one pass after another after another after another.
And tonight he not just is 208 triple double of his long and stored career.
He's still an incredible player.
He still can fill up the basket like with the best of anybody at 23 points, 12 assists,
11 rebounds and zero turnovers in 35 minutes.
Even shot three to five from three.
So I thought it was a super impressive game.
During post game, we were able to ask Doug Christie about Russell Westbrook's game.
And here's what Sacramento Kings had coach Doug Christie had to say.
For spectacular in the night, he controlled the ball game.
He found people in the pocket.
He just continues to to amaze that he can go out and produce the way that he does.
And tonight was not only a great performance, but a needy performance for us.
Because there's moments there when I put him back in calmly, game down, made sure that
we got to actions that we wanted to get to and then took advantage.
And that wasn't just him going and shooting.
It was fine to sneak in a pocket skip passing to Malik on snap actions, making sure he gets down.
He makes the defense commit Malik shake behind and or hit and plow them on the skip pass.
So I mean, you know, all the adjectives and different things.
I've probably used them all talking about talking about Russ.
So like I said, it's 100 coach.
I'm super proud of and for him, I believe that's 208.
Yeah, that is 208 career triple doubles again in all time NBA record.
It's really interesting though to be part of what happened on Thursday night where, you
know, again, Russell Westbrook, who like took the local media to task, specifically a
couple of people, you know, even like at one point got to me and asked if I had anything
to say and to be honest with you, I don't have a lot to say about a team that's at that
point 14 and 50 on the season that is not playing well and like, look, I covered this
acumen.
Okay, so it's well documented that, you know, this has been a franchise on the ropes for
a long time.
I started covering this team in 2010.
They ran the lowest payroll in the league for the first couple of years.
I covered the team.
They tried to relocate the team a couple of times, multiple times, they changed ownership.
I've seen my 10th head coach, my 5th front office.
So I've seen a ton in Sacramento, but I've never seen something unique like that where
a player in a press conference setting kind of flipped the tables on the media and kind
of went into attack mode and, you know, to be honest with you, it's kind of how he plays
the game.
He went into attack mode tonight and just reminded everybody that this is still a very,
very good NBA basketball player, a player that, you know, will be in the Hall of Fame.
It's likely a first ball at Hall of Famer and if he's not, I just don't know who he is.
Again, you just look at the career stats the all-time leader and rebounds for a guard.
I think he's the top scoring, well, not the top scorer might be one of the top scoring
point guards of all time.
But on top of that, there's so many things that he does over 2,000 steals in his career.
So really a story to NBA career and again, it shows you the dynamic here that's in play.
He's always been this way.
It's just rust being rust.
You'll hear that.
I also have people reach out to me from around the league and just like when the world is
going on there.
So, interesting night, it's good to see him be the performer that he was on the court.
Again, all circle, the one thing that matters, I think one of the biggest things that matters
to me is that he didn't turn the ball over at all.
And on the night, the Kings had 33 assists as a group and only four turnovers.
And of those four turnovers, one of them came at the very end of the game when Precious
Etude took a shot clock violation and that ended up going as a team turnover.
So anytime you have a like basically a 33 to 3 assists to turnover ratio, an 11 to
1 assists to turnover ratio is what that is.
It's just remarkable.
And I don't care who you're playing, they're NBA players.
And whether they're new to this team or not, the bulls have a lot of talent.
I don't know why they are where they're at in the standings other than it just happens
like that.
Sometimes you just don't figure out how to improve and get on top of your season.
All right.
We're going to step aside.
When we come back, we're going to dive into Malik Monk's big game because it's been
a little while since that's happened.
But you know, it's we're talking about we'll be back in just one sec.

Malik monk took center stage like look, Russell Westbrook is a guy who puts up the triple
double 23 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, right?
And Max Ray, no, who's just become a rookie phenom here in Sacramento, finishes a game
with 26 points and 11 rebounds is 14 double double season.
We'll get to that in six quick thoughts.
But Malik monk has always been the heart and soul of this Sacramento Kings team since he
joined the team a couple of years ago.
And he's a player that has an edge and can be a big manic as a player.
It's just his personality.
He can be all over the board.
But earlier this season, he found himself out of the rotation and it took some perseverance
for him to get back in the rotation full time to where Doug Christie and him were on the
same page.
And we can go back.
It's the whole key on Ellis will play in Malik monk won or Malik monk will play in
key on Ellis won't.
It's just been a confusing season all the way around and what we're starting to see now
is that Malik is one of the very few veteran players still available and tonight's game
again, Russell Westbrook is available.
Drew U-Banks off the bench was available.
But when you really break it down, you know, Dayquan plowed in a two way player played 35
minutes tonight and started precious to Chua who was signed in November played 39 minutes
in the starting lineup.
You know, Max Rayno started center position, Nick Clifford, another rookie plays 31 minutes
as a starter of the shooting guard spot Malik monk comes off the bench with Killian
Hayes with and with Devin Carter a little bit.
There was a point where they actually ran a four guard set, which was I thought really
interesting with Devin Carter, Killian Hayes, Malik monk and I think it was Nick Clifford
alongside Drew U-Banks.
And I will still say this like there are very few players that have ever come into Sacramento
and have the impact and the effect that Malik monk has on the crowds.
And it's really incredible to watch he's a lightning rod for just energy.
And it's something that the Kings have fed off for a long time.
In post game, we actually spoke to Malik monk and I'm going to get to that video right
now.
Let's see if I can do this without completely trashing everything like I did last time.
Let me see.
There's that.
There's that.
Let's go.
It's in January 16th, you had to say that, you know it, no offense.
But to bring out a life to the arena, feel the crowd, the vibes a little bit, I know
you're somebody who feeds off that all day, how nice was that and how nice was it to give
them one tonight?
Oh yeah, it always feels good to get away now especially in front of this crowd, but
even though we only know our records, I'm terrible, but as bad as we know, they still
come up and give us a lot of energy, they always loud, they always cheer for us, no matter
how bad we are.
So, Kuno stood up to the fans, man.
Malik, from the moment you stepped on the floor, and I looked like you were extra motivated
to score, as I just needed to get away in or was it something different?
Look at both, Libo and Nair out there too, so I had to be a little bit more aggressive.
Hey, yeah, I'm just even not fresh out now.
I missed too many, though.
There's Malik Monk, and like, look, Malik Monk has not had the same impact this season
that he has had in past seasons.
There's been a lot of change here, and everybody knows that, you know, he was really close
with Deer and Fox, they were college teammates, him and Deer and kind of had a falling out
near the end, and now Deer and San Antonio and Malik is here, but this is a player that
really has tried to set down roots here in Sacramento.
He's had, personally, a bunch of changes here, he had a baby.
It's been a huge focus of him, and his little one is four months old now.
He's still getting used to, you know, baby staying up all night and all that stuff.
But he's kind of grown up here in Sacramento, and I know he's bought property in Sacramento,
not just a house, but property, and this is a player that really does want to stay here
long-term.
It's been really tough going all the way back to the off season because Malik Monk was
mentioned in just about every single trade rumor.
He was offered for Jonathan Caminga.
There was rumors of him going to the bucks or rumors of him going to the Minnesota Timber
Wolves.
There were all kinds of things swirling and going on during the season, but at the end
of the day, he's a king, and he's still here.
And so it's one of those things where that's the league, that's the NBA, and you've got
to kind of play through it.
But as the season has morphed and things have just kind of spun out of control, there
are very few veterans that are playing in Malik.
It's been one of those guys that's here almost each and every night.
And when he gets on a tear, he's electric, and, you know, he had one of the most insane
triple, I mean, alley-oop dunks that I've seen in a while with Killian Hayes throwing a
perfect ball to him right at the rim on a fast break from probably about 45-50 feet
out.
That was impressive.
He had some three-point shots, like, look, this is a player that, you know, again, is
a dynamic score and to see him finish with not just the points, which is great, but also
he had five assists.
He was part of this whole barrage of the assists.
He had four rebounds.
He had a block shot, which is strangely enough, Malik Monk is one of the best shot blocking
guards in the league over the last, like, a couple of years.
But I'd also point out that Malik has quietly had, like, it's been a quiet season just
because of all the change and everything that's going on here.
But also, he's had one of his most effective seasons.
So shooting over 40% from three on a team that has no three-point shooters and needs
him desperately to be that player.
He's under contract for two more years.
And to be honest with you, a lot of Kings fans would love to see him stick around and
be part of this thing going forward, whether that's the same with management and coaching
staff and all that stuff we'll see.
But he certainly is, seemed to have worked his way back into good graces, not only with
Doug Christie, but with everybody here in Sacramento.
So a good game from Malik Monk.
All right, we're going to step aside one more time when we come back.
We're going to dive into six, a quick thought.
College basketball is non-stop, big games, tight spreads, momentum swings every single
night.
From early tip-offs to late-night West Coast shootouts, there's always action on the board.
And now Fandall is giving you a way to turn that energy into even bigger potential wins
with a college basketball parlay profit boost.
You can build any college hoops parlay you want, rivalry games, rank matchups, whatever
fits into what you're trying to do.
You can even just go with like potential Sacramento Kings draft picks in the top five.
That would be interesting.
You can make spreads, totals and player props to match how you see this late playing out.
Go safe, go bold, ride with the team.
You've been following all season long.
It's your parlay, your style, now with more upside behind it.

All right, let's dive into six quick thoughts.
Of course, I put these out after every Sacramento Kings game win, lose, draw, which doesn't happen
happens in soccer, but not here in the NBA.
This Sacramento Kings, of course, beat the Chicago Bulls tonight by a final 126 to 110.
It actually really opened up and wasn't that difficult of a game.
And again, I had to point out before I dive into all of six quick thoughts, like this is
a team with with Isaac Korra with a Matsus Buzulis with a Yabaselli with Trey Jones with
Josh Gidey, Colin Sexton, Jalen Smith, Nick Richards.
I did not know Nick Richards was on this team, Rob Dillingham is on this team.
We have Yuki Kawamura, the incredible young point guard that we got to see play in the
Olympics last year, lettered millers here.
This is a very interesting team, but it's also a totally different team than what was on
the court a month ago, two months ago.
Their transformation at the deadline is just absolutely stunning.
Not in a good way.
They are clearly trying to lose games.
They're 26 and 38 on the season.
And Kingsvans would kill for a 26 and 38 win total right now.
Maybe they wouldn't because they're here for the tank, but interesting team to watch.
Let's dive into the basics again.
This is win number 15 for the Sacramento Kings.
It was a 1-26-1-10 victory.
It helped the Kings improve to 15 and 50 on the season.
So definitely an interesting game and let's get to number one point in six quick thoughts,
which is the ringleader.
It was a run of the mill game in March until Malik Monk stepped on the court.
I thought he brought energy, which he always does.
He helped get some separation.
Finish with 30 points, 11-24 from the field.
He added five assists, four boards in a block.
And look, this was his first 30 point game of the season, which is crazy.
This is a guy that, you know, a couple of years ago, the Kings went toe-to-toe with the Los Angeles Clippers.
And one, I think, is 176 to 175 and Malik Monk put up, like, 45 points.
Tremendous score for him to not have a 30 point game before tonight is really crazy.
But good on Malik Monk for showing up and having a good performance.
Let's get to number two, which is just too big.
The bulls tried to go small.
I don't even know if they have any big players, to be honest with you.
After trading boost of it, who is only 6'9", and some of the other players that they
traded at the deadline, you know, you're really counting on Gershawn, Ubicelli, who is
completely undersized.
You're counting on Jalen Smith, who's more of a stretch 4'5 than he is a true 5'.
You're hoping that maybe you can get some minutes out of Nick Richards, who, again,
an undersized center.
And what that meant is that Maxime Reyno just like ran these guys over.
He's having a tremendous season.
If you're out there and you haven't watched Maxime Reyno, you're missing out.
He's cruising all the way up to, you know, he's almost to 11 points and like 7.5 rebounds
per game on the season.
Tonight he goes for 26 points on 10 to 20 shooting, 11 rebounds, he had 2 assists, he leads
all rookies and double doubles with 14.
He's just been in absolutely a breath of fresh air.
He's a great interview, great kid out of Stanford, super smart.
I think he graduated with a degree in mathematics and computer science from Stanford.
Just super analytical and he's growing, he needs to get better defensively, he's got
some holes in his game.
But we're not even seeing like the tip of the iceberg with this camp.
He's going to be able to stretch the floor and shoot the three ball at a high clip and
do a lot of other things.
He's just not being able to do as a rookie.
So very positive and it has been positive for most of the season for Max Reyno.
Let's get to number three, which is a triple double king.
We talked about it in the beginning of the show.
But you know, the Kings had 33 assists, only four turnovers on the night.
And a lot of it was Russell Westberg kind of feeling the vibe that was going on and
this whole assist vibe.
And we talked about it earlier, they started like seven of nine, seven of their first nine
buckets were assisted.
I got up to like 29, I mean, 19 out of their first 21 shots were assisted and they just
kept doing it.
Now I will also say this, they had 30 assists with four minutes left in the third quarter.
As the game got into the fourth, it got pretty sticky and the Kings only had four assists
in the final like 16 minutes of the game, which is, it's not great.
Russell Westberg again, great game for him, 23 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds.
He didn't turn the ball over.
He had a steal, super, super impressive game for a 37 year old who's going out there
and playing 35 minutes and just, you know, really having an impactful, an impactful game.
Let's get to number four, which is, leave your mark.
And just his second NBA start, two way player, Dayquan Plowden came in and contributed.
He was super active on both ends of the floor, 16 points, six of 13 shooting.
He might be in line for a roster spot.
The Kings, you can have to make a decision here.
They signed Killian Hayes to a second, 10 day contract and that puts them at 15 roster
spots.
They do have some players that they could wave, but it doesn't seem like they're willing
to do that, especially with all the injuries they have.
So I don't know if Dayquan's going to get a regular everyday contract for this team.
It would make sense for them to do it.
They're going to keep Killian Hayes.
That's one thing.
If they're not going to keep Killian, I would not be surprised if Dayquan Plowden
makes his way to the main roster.
And that way you can secure him not just for the end of this year, the final, you know,
I don't know what are we at, like we're 65 games in, so 17 games or whatever it is.
But also you can sign up into a multi-year deal with team options.
So you would be able to lock him up for next year and the year after that at very low rates
at league minimum type contract and maybe he develops.
Maybe he's your new key on Ellis, but definitely a solid game for Dayquan Plowden.
Let's get to number five, which is consistency.
Precious Achua has gone from a nice find to one of the most consistent players on the roster.
He's 26 years old.
He's just completely figured out how to be the starter of the power forward spot.
At 13.9 rebounds, three assists.
He's a Nutre Laos in Sacramento, and I think he's done a phenomenal job.
He's also super chill behind the scenes and a good teammate, and he's figuring out how
to be impactful.
And that's great.
Quick thought number six, which is Jack of all trades, Nick Clifford, he doesn't need to
put up big numbers.
He's going to have some games where he scores 30 points.
He's going to have some games where he scores eight like he did tonight.
He had eight points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.
That's pretty incredible.
I also will point out he's doing something different with his three point shot and he's
getting so much better.
So tonight, two or four from three, that is going to be a huge thing for him as he moves
forward because he looks like he's probably going to be starting shooting guard for this
team in the near future.
And not just to end a season like this, but maybe a permanent fixture at the shooting
guard spot.
So he's going to need to hit that three ball.
Good night for the Kings overall again, 126 to 110 lead.

Before we got AT&T business internet, whenever we needed to get another device set up in
the office, we called Jenett's nephew, charged us in pizza bites and energy drinks.
He wants to rename the network to New England Clam Router, professional, not really necessary
at the time, yes.
Now we've got AT&T business internet, easy to set up, no nephews required.
