In the comics Damage Control was originally owned by Tony Stark and Wilson Fisk! They also have associations with Doctor Doom, X-Men, and Hercules–some of which is going to come in handy in future MCU stories.
Kamran’s powers in this episode are pretty similar to the shockwaves he creates in the comics while maintaining visuals that are similar to Kamala’s.
Red Dagger’s outfit from the comics is clearly the basis for his look in Ms. Marvel.
Captain Marvel is a human/Kree hybrid in the comics. Maybe the blue severed hand that Ms. Marvel’s bangle was taken from was a Kree hand.
