MTN delivers strong H1 growth as SA remains under pressure & Transnet offloads landmark assets

Motheo Khoaripe speaks to MTN Group CEO Ralph Mupita about the company’s strong first-half performance, with service revenue rising 17.5% to R115.3 billion, adjusted headline earnings per share up 21.3% and EBITDA increasing 24.4%. The results show strong growth across Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda, while MTN South Africa grows just 1.5% as the group works to reset its prepaid business.
