Murder In Moscow: Did Bryan Kohberger Have Pictures Of Any Of The Victims Stored On His Phone?

0:00up everyone and welcome back to the program. At this point, we've all heard the rumors about Brian Coburger and the alleged picture or pictures of one of the victims on his phone. Now when we first heard this report, I said then that it was very significant. And when looked at with the totality of what we already knew, it was not only significant, but in my opinion, relatively damning for Brian Coburger. Something like that on your phone. When you get caught and you're accused of these murders, it doesn't look good. Now of course, his legal team can easily say, oh Brian Coburger is somebody who followed along with the case and was interested in true crime. Look, he's a criminologist. And that's fine. That's a great excuse. But will it hold up in court? That's what we have to think about. Not what sounds good. What are you going to be able to prove to those jurors inside of that courtroom?

1:02And if you're going to have some kind of bombastic theory or make all kinds of wild assertions, you're going to have to back that up with some receipts and some evidence. And no matter how many ways I twist it and try and look at it playing devil's advocate, I don't see a pathway for Brian Coburger to have an explanation here with everything that we know. And remember, it's circumstantial. We don't know if these sources are 100% legit. But if these sources are on point and all of this is true, then it certainly adds up to a very, very damning picture for Brian Coburger. And frankly, I happen to believe that these sources are on point. So we'll see obviously later on down the road if these sources were legit or if they weren't, but it all tracks, especially when you're Monday morning, quarterbacking it. Today's article is from Newsweek headline Brian Coburger's alleged photos on phone highly significant X FBI agent.

If it turns out that these photos are on his phone, depending on the nature of them, especially, imagine if there are photos that he actually snapped himself while he was on one of these surveillance missions that the government says he was engaging in. Bro shows up, hanging out in his car, hiding out whatever it is he's doing, creeping, snapping pictures of these girls while they're in their house or whatever. Talk about damning. Now if it's something that he kiped off of social media, a little bit less damning in my opinion because you can explain that away a little bit better. But if it's an actual photo that he took in his phone of one of these girls, forget it. Brian Coburger allegedly having pictures on his phone of one of the four University of Idaho students he is accused of killing is highly significant according to a former FBI agent. Well, I'm not a former FBI agent, but it sounds significant to me as well.

3:09Coburger 28 has been charged over the deaths of Madison Morgan, Kaylegan, Sabis, Zanakir Noodle, and Ethan Chapin. They were found stabbed to death inside a rental home near the University campus in Moscow Idaho on November 13th. The women had lived there with two roommates who survived the attack. Coburger was a PhD student of criminology at Washington State University in nearby Pullman when the murders took place. And I remember directly after these murders happened. There was all kinds of talk about who the perp might be and a lot of people were thinking it was a college student. I didn't think that it was going to be one of their peers or somebody in their circle, especially when people started to get cleared so quickly. You know, the ex boyfriend, the two surviving roommates, all of the people that you would look at first under normal circumstances. And I certainly was on that path myself. I figured that the boyfriend who had all of those phone calls that were sent to him during

4:13this period, I figured all boy had something to do with it. Now I wasn't going to talk out of my neck and start naming people by name, but in the back of my mind when I was looking at this case, when it was first breaking off, it certainly looked to me that this was a crime of passion and that somebody was really, really upset with at least one of these girls or Ethan. And that's because the overwhelming majority of situations like this are carried out by somebody that the victims knew. So when it's somebody from outside their circle or from outside of their life, if you will, that makes it a lot more difficult to find the person who is responsible. So when it wasn't somebody in their social circle or an ex lover or something like that, it became a case where it was hit or miss if they were going to be able to find the person responsible. And if it wasn't for Brian co burger, leaving that she's there with the DNA on it, this guy probably would have gotten away with this. He was arrested on December 30th at his parents house in Pennsylvania and is yet to enter

5:17a plea to four counts of first degree murder and one count of felony burglary. A lawyer who previously represented him said he was eager to be exonerated and a preliminary hearing is set to begin on June 26th. He's found multiple photos of one of the female victims on a phone seized from co burger. People reported earlier this week citing an unnamed source familiar with the investigation. And here's the rub for a lot of people. And I get it, right? I'm not the biggest fan of the legacy media. It's one of the reasons I started my podcast. I don't believe that the legacy media has our best interest at heart. And frankly, I don't want activists journalists. I want journalists who are chasing the truth and who are unencumbered by loyalty to a political party or to a group. The idea of the legacy media as the fourth estate is to hold those in power to account.

6:17And I think they've forgotten that and they've certainly lost the trust of the people. So I get when people are like, look, I don't believe any unnamed source. So I can completely understand that and totally get why folks out here wouldn't believe people and the sources that they say they have. The magazine did not reveal who the alleged photos were of or if they had been taken by co burger or downloaded from social media. I think that's all significant, right? I don't know if we'll get that information anytime soon, but I think it's going to be significant to know how those pictures ended up on his phone. And forensically, they'll be able to trace that. They'll know when those those pictures were taken or if they were downloaded, they can find everything when it comes to a digital footprint. Forget it. But Tracy Walder, a former FBI special agent and former CIA officer told news nation that if true, it would show a pattern of behavior. No doubt about it. That's what I said too.

7:18When you look at everything, it's about the patterns, right? It's not about a one off him acting weird one time. It's about the totality of his behavior and the documented evidence of that behavior. We know that he was reprimanded at Washington State University for his treatment of some of the female students and female staff, Walder said. And so if he had photos on his cell phone, it directly ties them back now to the occupants of that house. This is one step closer to tying him to that. And frankly, with all of the evidence as far as we know it, the Instagram following, the DMs, these pictures, Mad Greek, the University of Idaho, I've seen what I need to see to be convinced that Brian co burger certainly had ties to these girls, at least from the perspective of him following them on social media and watching them from afar. Walder said co burger could have easily found their Instagram page and saved screenshots of pictures they posted 100% very easy to do that.

8:22We all know that. If he was taken sort of action shots of them stalking them following them to their work, school and all of that, that really sort of goes more towards this premeditation. She said absolutely that'll play a big part into it. Now if those photos are of the variety that we talked about him actually snapping those flicks, that's going to be very damning for him in the courtroom. And I don't know how he'll get over that. I don't know how he'd convince the jury that he didn't premeditate all of this, especially if they find those pictures or if they've found those pictures already. It comes after reports that co burgers now deleted Instagram account had followed Gon Solvus, Mogen and Kernotl, a source told people in January that he had repeatedly message one of the women but never received a response. He reportedly first sent a message in late October and then several more, basically it was just him saying, Hey, how are you? But he did it again and again.

9:23The source said. So if this is true and these photos are on this phone, it will certainly put everything into context and perspective for the jurors, right? It will be the glue that binds it all together. The fact that he had pictures of them on his phone, especially if their pictures say taken from his car while they're in front of their house doing yard work or whatever. Can you imagine how damning that'll be when brought in front of a jury? Say you were sitting on the jury and you saw that evidence and you saw all of the other circumstantial evidence that has been provided and you're on the fence a little bit. I don't know if this is true. This might not be true. And then you see these pictures. Forget it. That's enough to convince anyone who might be on the fence. So if these pictures do exist and I happen to believe people's source, so I happen to believe that they do exist, then I think it's very damning evidence against Brian Coburger and I think that evidence will go a long way to helping get a conviction.
