It was the summer of 1981, a seemingly ordinary day in Hollywood, Florida. Six-year-old Adam Walsh excitedly tagged along with his mother, Revé, for a routine shopping trip to the local mall. As his mother made her way through the aisles, Adam's eyes were drawn to the mesmerizing glow of the arcade games in the toy department. nearby. Seeking a few moments of fun, Adam begged his mother for permission to play while she finished her shopping. Watching the older kids play video games was something Adam had done many times before and so Revé agreed, and she watched as Adam disappeared– it was the last time she would see her son alive.
What happened next altered both the fabric of the United States and the trajectory of his parents' lives. Driven by their unwavering determination to prevent other innocent young victims from suffering a similar fate, John and Revé Walsh embarked on a mission to reshape how children are protected, saving hundreds of lives in the process.
His name was Adam Walsh.
