‘My father sold vegetables, but I am here’: Mumbai graduate Sana wins $100k+ scholarship in Sydney

From a Mumbai informal settlement to a scholarship worth more than $100,000 in Sydney, Sana Hussain Shaikh is opening a new chapter. The IT graduate is heading to the University of Sydney to study a Master of Computer Science, becoming the first scholar through its partnership with Aseema Charitable Trust and the first in her family to pursue postgraduate study. Sana spoke to SBS Hindi about her journey, future plans and her goal of using technology to make life safer for women and older people. Bhavya Pandey reports.
