The San Francisco 49ers, surprised fans by signing veteran cornerback Nate Hobbs early

in free agency.

in 2021.

He spent four seasons there before a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers heading into

2025.

Across his career, he has three-internate tackles, 21 passes defense and three interceptions

while playing both outside and slot roles.

Fans are excited, but note some concerns about his durability.

Hobbs has never played a full 17 game season and only topped 12 games twice.

That could limit his impact if he lands a big role.

Last season, his pro-flip ball focus grade was 61.7 overall, ranking 60th among qualified

cornerbacks.

His coverage set at 58.1, but he's shown in run defense with a 77.4.
