National Guard Deployed To Los Angeles: How Did We Get Here? | June 9, 2025 | Hour 1

On Friday, widespread protests erupted across Los Angeles County, in response to a series of coordinated immigration raids carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The unrest was sparked when ICE agents conducted surprise operations at multiple locations throughout the city, including workplaces, residential neighborhoods, and transit hubs, to detain undocumented immigrants. The protests, which have continued for several days prompting President Trump to deploy the National Guard to help stop the chaos.
