Have you ever heard of phone sound this good?

No, I haven't. It's pretty strong on a phone. Well, what do you own? You own your regular setup? Yeah, it sounds great. I mean, it sounds like I'm in the studio with you. Totally does. You just hold back the curtain a little bit. Or in their asking Mohawk boy, what the hell are you thinking? Mohawk boy. I think that would be. Wait a minute. It's been a while since I've been in the studios. Does that sales weasel still run around loose with the Mohawk haircut? No. Well, yeah, he's here. Listen, I like him. We get along. He's grown up a little bit. He's decided to do the bit. Yeah, he doesn't need to wear that anymore. By the way, before we get to the mac, you made a big deal out of this package. It's not a big deal. It looks good. It's a nice gesture, I think. I got such a kick out of that umpire telling that. So this is Doug Addings, the umpire in the game the other night.

And. And so Rincon. Yeah, he was going after a young pitcher making his debut because he didn't like how he was wearing his hat. Well, the young pitcher from the hood. Oh no, I got to turn my hat sideways. I mean, I don't want to, I got to look like I know where I'm from. I got to recognize my. So the hat goes partially sideways. What an idiot. I mean, um, that's not the way you do it. And I'm so glad that umpire did that. And I know it's going to catch hell and I don't care. I guess I just didn't think it was that extreme. I'm definitely saying it worse. I've seen it worse. There's other people that wear good. Yeah, I did that's a deal. I'm like, he was like, he was wearing it off to the side. Like some sort of clown had like, yes, did it have a. A tilt to it. Yeah, but I just, I just thought that when it came to the umpire and making his big of a deal as he made it into. I was like, dude, that's a really good thing to do in between innings when you get to go talk to the pitcher. The message has been delivered. I, uh, I think the next day like the entire team

or their hat tilted. Yeah, they did. No boy. And then adding ended up apologizing for it. It's just time in place. If you want to talk to a young pitcher, you know, you know, all jocks and if you're here for a second. Uh, uh, uh, I just have kind of lost my passion for calling out to the pitcher. I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just, uh, I just have a passion for College football Because you know, now these kids have to take a pay cut to go to the pros. Yeah, yeah. So I dig raising? I know. Uh, but I did not know, because you know, I, I don't have my nose as far up the sports directors. Uh,

MacSup, you know? I did not realize how much schools like Georgia and Texas A&M, two I really give a damn about are paying these these teams to come play them early in the season. It's it's typically anywhere between now on like the low end. It's like 500,000. Sometimes it's up to 3 million depending on the scheduling. Well, this Missouri team, I think that's where they came from that play day and M got 1.2 million. Yeah. That's not and whoever these poor sad sacks were that played Georgia got damn near 2 million. Yeah, that's a it's these programs end up being funded largely by the power for by the bigger conferences and these early season games. So a lot of them will play the first two games of the season knowing they have zero chance of winning, but they've paid for their season. And probably some of next year. Yeah. I know kids will never get a chance to play in front of 100,000 people again.

No, I know. And that's why the coach actually brought up the coach at Tennessee State made the point and that we will never get a chance in order to play in front of this many people to play this caliber caliber of a team unless we take the money to go play in Athens against Georgia. Yeah, go ahead, give me the money. Ever played a dust a national tug. No, sir, either have I. What the hell are you doing wearing the shirt? Well, I've been there, but I'm never playing okay. First off, I love that you're checking it out on YouTube. Second, yes, tug has a lot of master's gear because he's gotten to go. Your amigo has never gone. I have yet to go got to go. No, you don't want to go. I just want to go a practice. You do. No, you don't. Yes, you do. What do you mean? No, you don't look. It's I don't understand people that go to golf tournaments because you just you can't see everything. Yeah, but it's pretty amazing. I'm telling you, I'm not a go to everything I've been down to East Lake one time into Atlanta athletic club. The years ago 10, 15 years ago, when

they had one of the big tournaments there, and it I had so much fun, I didn't know what to expect. This was two years ago, three years ago, when I got to go to Augusta, went there thought, wow, this can't be as good as they tell me it is. And then when you get there, it's better than you thought it was you can look, if you're watching TV on a 60 inch TV or something like that. Yeah, I get that every shot. I get that every shot. I get it, Neil, but there's been special about a gust of man. And I'm not even a golf guy. I suck at golf. So why? Okay, open the package. You know, while those does that, have you ever have you ever played a gust of twice? Wow, see, see, see, we're running a different crowd. Go, it's not as good as it can. You watch all the other shot. Yeah, you know, you know, it's amazing. I took royal. They said, they said, invite one more person to come with you. I said, fine, I invited royal. Oh, that's also a lot. God rest is so. All right. So I have this

package I'm holding your wives asked me to get this for you. I'm going to show this to the audience on our YouTube and X and also our Facebook feed. These are dude wipes, fragrance free, flushable wipes. That way you clean up your your caboose. Yeah. So what was the reason that your wife says? I'm going to put this on our toilet at home. My wife's going to have the biggest question. March, she's going to make where did these come from? I'll be like, Neil Bort's got him for me. What do you think about that? What do you want to listen? I believe I did buy you the individual package. Yes, yes. You can you can always have one in your pocket when you head out. So do you keep these handy? Is this something that you have to I have Fanny Washington? I know, okay, we have one at the house. I refuse to use it. I'm just not comfortable with it. Oh, like, can you use it? I know my wife loves it. She loves the bidet. I just there's something about it,

I'm just a little uncomfortable with I've never used one, ever, I've seen them. I'm going to I'll tell you what, Neil, I'm going to have to come over to my house. And I'm just going to tell him like, go up to the bedroom. Go go try it and then come back down and report to me. He'll say the same. He'll either love it or be kind of like me or my ass. This is entirely two personal, but I love them. In fact, in the new bus in the new bus we I insisted two of them. But the queen will not use it. I'm with the queen. Yeah, why does she so opposed to it? Look, we've been together for 55 years. I don't ask for reasons why she does things. I don't explain it to my wife either. She just respects that I don't like it the way she does. That's fine. I don't understand how it I mean, I know what it does. It, you know, splashes up there. I don't like chocolate ice cream either. There's certain things we've either. Yeah, I don't like chocolate ice chocolate. There's certain things that I just say I'm not for this, but I'm okay if you are. And that's good. That's fine. I just don't understand. Is it powerful enough to

clean? Yes. Okay. Because that man, that sounds like it could hurt. As you put it into water hose mode. That's what I'm saying. Well, they're right out there. I mean, there, there are certain times when you may or may not be suffering from certain conditions where it could hurt like hell. Yeah, make sense. Absolutely. When you, when you, uh, yeah, when the, when things aren't or flowing too well, maybe it kind of washes things down. I get that part, but like just in a regular day. That's why you need the dude wipes. Yeah. That's what you're good. Yeah. But they want you to let us know later on. Okay. I'll report back. I'll use it tonight. Yeah, give a couple of Mohawk boy. You'll love it. Yeah, I'm sure everybody's going to work out. Maybe if their individual is really wrapped, we'll split them up and get brisome too. I want to go back 25 years ago, because we are going to have the 25th year anniversary of 9 11. Yeah. And at a curiosity, Neil, because with the time slot, you were working and being on the air, did you all stay on the air? What happened for you that day when that all occurred? Well, I think the ballpark

in the time it was 8 45 in the morning. Yeah. Okay. And I go into a break. You know, I tell the great and wonderful listeners will be back in a moment. Belinda comes running into the studio says, a plane just ran into the a tower in New York. And we looked up at the TV. And I remember my words, as she said a small plane, I said, that wasn't a small plane. That was a, that was an airliner looking at the scar on the building. And it's an attack and we won't be on the air the rest of the morning. And I was right, we never went back on the air that morning. We all just sat in the newsroom. Most of the staff of the radio station sat in the newsroom, watching those TVs and watching this unfold. I didn't get back on the air till about 8 o'clock that night. When it was time to ask the people to call in with their, with their opinions. So was the management decided to go straight to

network? And then you came back on later on in the evening and did where you there at the studio the entire time? You know, I don't remember exactly what the decision was. I know that we stayed with the network coverage for hours. Yeah, yeah, same probably stayed with network coverage all the way through the day. Until after the evening news shows ran and then we went live with talk. And yeah, I was in my luxurious, well-appointed office, sitting on the couch with Belinda and Royal. We were just, we were just watching in disbelief like everybody else. Yeah, because we had I was on a music station. It was my first radio station out of the Navy. And we had, you know, obviously everything came down. We went directly. We were in ABC affiliate the time went to ABC news and was kind of wall to wall with that for several hours. And, and then I just moved to the afternoon show. So I got on the air three and they let me

go live at three out of the network. And start with country girl, shake it. I didn't have hadn't been released quite yet. But, but no, we did the exact same thing. It was just open up the phone lines and let people talk and vent and react and say what was on their mind. And some of it was outlandish. And some of it was heartfelt. And people were all over the place. They didn't know what to think. Well, people were in total shock, in total shock. And I know now the big question, I'm sorry, this is the big question. But is mom Danny going to show up at the 9 11 remembrance? Oh, yeah, yeah, he'll show up just he's he's there almost as a thumb in your eye. That's why he'll be there. What a disaster. Yeah, it is. You know, if if any American city was going to elect a communist mayor, could you think of a better city than New York, maybe Seattle, well, they did too. Oh, Seattle definitely has a communist mayor at this point. I guess given the history of what had occurred, it's one

thing for New York to to go the communist route. Obviously, with the amount of people that are that are new to the country, and that's the direction. But to go down a road where you are basically putting Islam on the map on a place where Islam attacked 25 years ago is just shocking to me. It's just a lack of understanding. Or as we talk about it, it's a society with amnesia. Just don't remember. Yeah, listen, I remember how shocked I was that first shockwave, the number one name for male children born in London was Muhammad, what the hell? And then in London, they they they put in place a Muslim mayor. Well, it's just I could not believe it. Then it happened in New York. And you know, all because of that guy's smile. Yeah, I the smile is is creepy to me. You know, because I know what's

behind this mind. You know what you know what a phony? Yeah, I know what's behind it. It's as soon as I see it, dude, I have been so creeped out by that guy before just when you see me like, Oh, it's like it's like being in a haunted house or something. Have you ever really taken a close look at the DS Democrat socialist, I, I, communist platform? Oh, yeah, we actually read through it at one point. I don't think enough people have actually done that, Neil. Well, I was just looking at a short blurb about it. That some Democrats are saying that the DSA is going to seek the Democrat party. Well, that was their plan in 2012. That is in their, you know, platform for 2012 from their lips to God's ears. You know, no immigration control abolished. Yeah, are they serious? abolished police? Yes, more of us police, Supreme persons, and prisons in the Senate. Cousinations, here's what I didn't realize. Now, remember guys, I'm retired, you know, and I'm trying very hard not to give a

damn. Give it down mustard about a lot of this. You don't have to read that book again. Yes, that's what I'm trying not to give. State ownership of all food, education, energy, medical and transportation businesses. Yeah. What? And Americans are going to vote for this. But they seem to have already started in New York, they seem to have already started in many apples and Seattle. I mean, yes, so yeah, the answers, yes. Can you imagine what grocery shopping would be like with government ownership of all food, production and sales? Yeah, we would, there would be then the strange part that we've heard out of New Yorkers, then well, we will subsidize the non-government stores. So wait a minute, so you're going to take more of my tax money to reinforce these other, these other supermarkets that will not be able to compete. So they stay open. How does that make you see, you're

already taking my money to have these government stores. But then you're going to take more of my money to make sure that the private stores are able to stay open. Eight, neither one of them will stay open. I mean, eventually, you run out of other, you just think the system. Yeah, that's right. Which I think is probably the plan. I think that's, that's the idea behind it all anyway. Well, if you really sit back and think about the, excuse me, got a cough. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, get that sitting out of there. Yeah. Well, you know, hey, Mike, how about a damn mute switch here? That's saying it's perfect. I'm out of the mute. We need to. Well, I love this, I love the setup that he created for me. But it's, you know, I guess I could just install my own mute switch on the microphone here. Yeah, amazing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, what were you about to say? Well, I just say sometimes thinking about these things that makes me want to wretch. But, you know, looking at the voters that will vote for these DSA idiots, and one of the prime

idiots out there is AOC, Alexandria, Ocasio, Cortez, Dumas, I mean, if, if you shoved her brains up an ants rear end, it would rattle around like a BB in a box car. No, she is an actress in a bartender. Yeah, and a bartender. But people give her serious consideration for presidency. Yeah, I mean, people better be prepared because it's kind of I think that's where the Democrats are in some sort of death loop, where something whenever emerges is just going to be different. But the idea that that they marched out Hillary, she gets whoop by Trump. They march out Kamala Harris, which I mean, Joe Biden basically stuck them in that situation. She gets whoop by Trump to think that they would ever consider another woman when they're over to their, to me, they're caught up in their own belief system at that point to think that at one point, they're

saying women aren't smart enough in order to be able to get ID if you pass a save act, but they can be president. Yeah. Well, it would be the prettiest head of state in the nation in the world. Fair point. Yeah. But I mean, that's all. That's all you get. What's that? Yeah, what's that going to get you? But here, and here's what bugs me a little bit over the weekend, I kept thinking Trump, you know, his job right now is not renaming lakes and golfs. His job is not the tariffs. Leave him alone. These gold accents knock off buying all these gold accents for your offices and billing or you're changing your hair color or get off social media. Trump right now really has one job when the midterms destroy Iran. Okay. I mean, he may not

win the midterms, but he will still have the power to destroy Iran. That is the legacy he has to leave because Iran is going is going to be one of the greatest mass murdering regime slash states, governments in the history of the world. You know, if they aren't if something isn't done about those Muslim creeps soon, and he, you know, don't rename Lake Erie or whatever, my wife is from New Mexico, leave it New Mexico. It doesn't need to be new America. Give me a break. Work on destroying the government of Iran and freeing those people. See, I've looked at this in this way, Neil, if we had left Iran alone and they developed the nuclear weapon as they intended, they would close a straight and then they would hold the world hostage and eventually just they would nuke Tel Aviv and and the news media

and the left would say, why didn't Trump do anything? Yeah. This then becomes the other end of it that if you're in, I appreciate the idea that legacy goes well beyond just the next election. It is you were able to get rid of a terrorist organization running a country that was hell bent on nuking their neighbors. Like that legacy. That's real legacy. Oh, but we're going to depend on the United Nations to keep that from happening. Of course, yes, we know. I can't wait for them to get involved. They always do say they're going to do checks. The United Nations couldn't fill a pothole. No, you're right. Neither can most go without a committee to discuss it first. Right. Either can most compromise. Yeah, I didn't say how it's crazy. But, but it looks like the the Trump tactic along with Scott Besson, making this impossible to operate economically, you've already destroyed everything they have other than the civilian infrastructure with your military, our military. Now you're putting the cabosh on anything going in and out of the straits

without your permission. You've taken that you've put the squeeze on it. The Navy seals have cleaned up the entire straits of all the mines. They can't do anything without the United States approval at this point going in or out. Yeah, I wouldn't be great to be a Navy seal. Yes. I mean, I don't think we'd get through bugs. But I couldn't. I wouldn't. No chance. I couldn't fill out the forms. I so I had about I think it was eight or 10 guys that I served with through my four years that went off to buds about half of my thought. Yep, they'll get through. They'll make it none of them did. Okay, Mr. Insider. What is budge? Basic underwater demolition. Okay. It's a Navy man. He's ready any time on that one. Well, my brother was Navy. Was it? All right, God bless him. Thank you. You stationed on a station, donor destroyer. Okay. Yeah. I was on a carrier and a board Commander, Carrie Group 6, which that was my last year. I

would work for a two-star admiral. But for that, it was a nuclear power-guided missile cruiser and then he would smoke as right. I would stand there and smoke because that's the only way you get a bright nail. Well, I got a great tour of a nuclear power-guided missile destroyer. It was the USS the Sullivan's the Sullivan. Oh, okay. And I remember the guy given, given us the tour. We went through this huge door and extra security and all of a sudden we found ourselves in a room that was full of cylinders and he said each one of these is a nuclear-tipped missile. Nice. I thought, what the hell are we doing in here? Get me out of here. But I don't think I'm belonging out of the clearance to be in here. That was one of the most uncomfortable things that I've ever experienced because I did not serve in the military. I have great respect for those who did, including my father and my mother and my brother, who is probably now a democratic socialist.

But anyway, but the morning before I did the radio show from that destroyer, I was invited by a helicopter group at Mayport, Jacksonville to go out and fly one of their big huge monstrous helicopters. Well, you got to fly it? I got to fly. No way. Get out of here. No more federalists let anybody fly. Navy helicopters? Well, yeah, they did. And in the CO of the squadron was actually in the command seat, I was flying from the left seat. He said, how much helicopter experience you have? I said, none. And it's a holiday and express commercial. At one point, the door flew open. It hadn't been properly. And these papers are flying all over the cabin. And he says to me, you've got the aircraft. And he's trying to, and so I'm sitting over there. He says, pull it back into a hover. We're about 2,000 feet. So I managed to do

then he looked at me said, okay, I'll make this clean. Okay, but how many hours do you have in helicopters? I said, no, I swear. I was anyway, I was wearing a flight suit that they got they got for me. And when we were walking from the helicopter over to the destroyer, people were saluting me. That's great. Like I know that wasn't great. I was so uncomfortable with that. How did they get a helmet to say talk master all the way across the earth? Seriously, man? Did you get to keep that helmet? No, I didn't get a helmet. No, it's a year. Yeah, you know, but when I walked on to the destroyer, they did whistle or whistle me on board. That's right. Talk masters on board. Did they really? What do you think is quite an honor for you? Well, I know, but I'm not, I haven't earned any of this and quit saluting me. I'm not an officer. That's right. I'm a draft doctor. But it was it was it was a marvelous a marvelous time.

It's not so many things to talk about. Rob Lowe thinks that he didn't get all these a list movie roles because of some I don't know why the reason was his statement is that hot and here or is that just me? Well, I think I think his video alone was what kept him away from that for years. Is it hot and here? Is that just me? Yeah, right, you know, right when he's wailing on this teenager? Yeah, back in the day, if anyone forgets, he was in a sex video before there was such a things as sex videos with a girl under eight. Yeah, yeah, anyone just why he doesn't get the big roles right now. I think he's probably about 25 years of what listen, we'll let you play little side characters here and there. Yeah, yeah, like it awesome power. Thank you for the dude wipes. Yeah, man, those are great. Yeah, let me know how the wipe out workout. Hopefully will. And and thanks for sharing that Navy story. That's really cool. I admire that. I love that. I was so uncomfortable. Oh, and by the way, in the newspapers this morning, the fastest

join Groban growing job in America. Number one, nurse practitioners. Okay, I love nurses. I deal. No, no, don't have 30 days in rural ICU. Oh, okay. I love it. And their number one job is to keep doctors from killing their patients. Well, that's a good, it's a noble goals for sure. The doctor, Neil, I'm going back to bed. Oh, well, we wish you nothing, but sweet dreams. I've been warned if I don't what happens. No, you don't want to test her. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, there, back on there. No, thank you, Neil. Okay, y'all be good. Don't get any on you. This is an episode of the Neil Bort Show with a morning extra on extra 1063.
