On March 24th, Chad Gilbert, the guitarist for newfound glory, ran into serious health problems during a concert in Nashville on February 20th. He had trouble controlling his left hand on stage, and his left leg started weakening, causing him to stumble and fall. A few days later, on the 23rd, doctors found three new tumors in his brain after a CT scan in the emergency room. He had successful surgery on February 27th, and has been recovering in the hospital ever since. Gilbert regained control of his left hand right after the operation. His radiation oncologist called it, the start of a fresh chapter, not the end. Recovery has been rough at times, but he's getting stronger daily. The band just dropped their 12th album Listen Up, on February 20th, right before this hit. Fans have rallied around Gilbert and his family with tons of support. They're pausing tour dates for now, but plans to return on May 3rd at the Hammersonic Festival in Indonesia. U.S. shows with yellow card and plain white teas kick off May 6th in Atlanta, including

a Vans Warp tour stop. Gilbert can't wait to get back to making music with everyone. That wraps music news today, brought to you with AI, I'm Cory with The Story.
