Avengers: Doomsday has reportedly already topped $50 MILLION in ticket pre-sales! Marvel Studios' next massive Avengers movie is building enormous momentum well before its theatrical debut, but just how big could this movie actually become?
On today's Kristian Harloff Show, we discuss the early Avengers: Doomsday box office numbers, whether the film could challenge some of the biggest opening weekends of all time, and just how much anticipation there is to see Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom alongside the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four.
Could Doomsday potentially reach the heights of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame? And with Avengers: Secret Wars still to come, is Marvel about to recapture the event-movie excitement of the Infinity Saga?
Over at DC, we've got our first looks from The People vs. Gorilla Grodd. New set videos show a surprisingly dapper Gorilla Grodd singing, along with a first look at Jimmy Olsen. Just how strange is this DC Studios series going to get, and could its completely different tone help expand James Gunn's DCU?
The biggest question today is how massive Avengers: Doomsday can become. Crossing $50 million in early ticket sales would be another major indication that audiences are ready for Marvel's next Avengers event. With Doctor Doom, the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men all involved, Doomsday has the ingredients for one of Marvel Studios' biggest movies ever.
If you're a fan of Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom, Robert Downey Jr., X-Men, Mister Sinister, Adam Driver, Gorilla Grodd, The Penguin, The Batman Part II, Marvel Studios, or DC Studios, this episode is for you!

What's up everybody we're back. Smet's he's back two days in a row. How cool is that? Chris Carr out today. We will miss her. She'll be back next week. I believe we'll find out for sure, but she's she's she'll be back. We got some stuff. DC has a hit on their hands of lanterns man. People are digging that show, doing very well in the ratings. Well, they got another show for HBO Max. The people versus grill at grud. A new set videos coming out. I don't know what the show is. Apparently, you know, it's like a mockumentary type thing, but is this the show at the moment that DC needs? We'll talk about it. Some rumors about Mr. Sinister, Matt Reeves, Reupts is one of brothers deal. Avengers Doomsday does it for 50 million of pre sales and tons of games today on the show. So it's me and Smet's two days in a row. You didn't have him for months. Now you got him again. Day back to back. So let's get into it. Here's the show.
Did you shit man? What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the show here today. As I mentioned yesterday, we had on Kaiser and Smet's back two days in a row. Yep. How's it going? What's up? Two days in a row. We're blessed. Yes, we're blessed with my presence. How's everybody doing today? It is a Thursday. It is a great day today to be alive. I kind of messed up. I turned in my iPhone when I came back from the show last month. Because of the new phone. And I dropped off my UPS package to the post office, which doesn't handle UPS. So I just figured that out. And so I've been doing a lot for my new phone. And it's a loop just sent me the link for the new one. And the fold's at and it's almost like an iPad. Yeah, I saw that.
That's cool. I think I'm going to get that. I might be. I'm just kicking myself. So now I got to go to the post office. I don't know if anyone in the chat has ever experienced that. If you drop a UPS package off at USPS, what happens? But I'm already beyond the 30 day window. So I'm just going to be happy. Yeah, that stinks. That stinks like shit, as they say. I don't know if anybody says that, but I do. Listen. You do. We have some really cool news as we mentioned. We just dropped the Mandalorian season three episode one and two reaction with me and Sam will be finishing up that series pretty soon. He's coming in today to shoot. I will see some. I think we can wrap it up. I'm hoping that we can wrap it up. Because then we're going to get into that movie. Get away from that and then just jump back into the DCEU. But we've got to watch the Green Lantern, the Ryan Reynolds one. I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't think that has anything to do with the DCEU, though. Does it? No, I think it's just so people could hate watching along with you. That would be it. I know, but wasn't that before even Snyder took over?
Yeah, way before. It was right way before. So, I don't know. So Kevin's got another shot to win the questions today. We'll see if he can do that. But I wanted to show you guys this. This was yesterday we were aiming to hit over 2300 and we, I was sorry, 2200 and we did it. And now we're aiming for 2300. You can see that right now on the Kickstarter. We are currently at 2,230. You see the project we love? We were blessed because you guys have been following us. And we're almost there. Guys, people keep asking me this question, you know, what? Where we have, you know, it's the 22nd. So there are like, how you feel on a course? I'm nervous and excited. I can't wait to do it. And I think that if everybody here is who's watching hasn't, just click the Notify button. If everybody can do that, it's going to be really monumental and it's going to help us out tremendously once it starts. So hopefully, you know, I'm peeled. You put the link in there. Just keep pepper it in there throughout the show.
But our show is trending.com. Make sure you do that. We'll have some more announcements pretty soon, which would be cool. And then our livestream, I have, you see, Mike, see the thing is I have a, Mike's going to be on the show. Mike and Rox will be on the show in Tuesday. I have a couple of cool, exciting things that are going to happen on that livestream that I'm putting together also. What do you got? What do you got? I don't want to say it though, because of Mike watches and Rox, he watches, they're going to know what it is. And I want to surprise him. Penny Barber. I don't know what I have. I have a lot of stuff that I've working out, but that'll be interesting to have some fun stuff happen. And I think I'll do the same thing. I'll introduce some potential competitors for the tournament. We're just going to, we're probably going to be on for Mike 10 in the morning until I'm. Are you going to be about the 22nd? That's my actual big day. Yeah, actually, the actual launch day. I think there's going to be like two days in a row. Well, the launch day is the 22nd. That is Tuesday. That is the actual day. Oh, art. Let me realize something. I might have to change something up, but I got my dates wrong.
Anyway. So, we have some stuff going on today. I hope that you guys are going to join us. Chime in. Have some conversations. I look with sending back and forth, you're like, what do you guys want to talk about for the main topic? So, you want to go over this girl of grotto and I say, yeah, sure. Because I really like the people who are involved. I've mentioned this before. I've worked with Dan Perol before. He's a really good guy. Very happy for his success with American Vandal and other things. I thoroughly think he's a good human being and funny and I root for him. I hope that this show is good. I just don't know what the hell it is. Right? And I don't know. Just cards on the table. I don't, I don't, I'm naive about it because what I thought, I thought he was like a menacing villain from like the flash is what I thought he was. I didn't know there was like a goofy silly. He's dancing and singing and all that kind of shit involved in it. And it very well could work and it could be one of the surprising shows.
But let me bring this story up. And here it is. The people versus Rurala Grotto set video show a Dapper Grotto building out of tune and it first like I mean, this immediately made me think of the movie sink. This is going to knock you guys for people who have children. Remind me of sink. Remind me of the character that wants his face. And Terran Agerton played. What is this show? That's the first thing. This latest photos and videos from the set of the people versus Grotto Grotto show actor Jimmy Tattro belting out a rendition of LMAO's party rock anthem. Got our first glimpse of a fully practical girl. A grad yesterday as Tony commenced on the HBO Max DC crime series. The people versus the girl abroad and the initial set photos and video show the villain graduating from college and singing a backstreet boys song. Now exactly what fans were expected from the show though we have been told the TPVGG would put a comedic spin on the true crime.
Some more videos have been shared online and this time we see actor Jimmy Tattro rehearsing a rendition of party rock anthem. It seems this take on the super intelligent flash villain will enjoy belting out of tune. They'll also see a very dapper looking grot having fun with his capella group and showing off his dance moves to a young lady as well as another shot of Eduardo Franco and Matt and I matter either lad and a first look at Skylar and Kazondo returning to me also. We're not really sure how these sequences will factor into the show but reports in the set claim that the people versus Grille Grotto will feature fake interviews just like show understand peroles and Tony is sent as 2017 mockumentary series American Vandal. And so there's this they have the stuff here I don't know if they'll be copyrighted by my people. There's some of the pictures. See him there. A little bit more of what's going on. Man tomorrow crew had spot. I mean, that's not big news. Anyway, you can't shit on it yet because you don't know you don't really just you don't
know. I see people kind of losing their minds on on social media going. I have no idea what they're doing in the DCU in the comedy aspect. This is crazy. I'm not. Throw I mean, I'm not like pumped up about another comedy series goofy thing. I feel like this is more so where James goes probably wanting to do this for a bit. This is a show for him and his friends and some other people that are going to do it. And if they get reluctant to make it real entertaining, but the positive side is it's on HBO Max. They have showrunners that made American Vandal work really well. As I mentioned, Dan Pratt has a very good comedy brain. He's really smart, dude. They probably will make the show very entertaining. The question is how do you go from the tone of lanterns into the tone of this and maybe it's just like the same answer that you would when you go into a comic book store with DC. And you say, well, that one's a really serious dark comic in play phase. That one, not so much. That's more about a dance and gorilla and this and that and too. He might show up.
The only problem with that is that these things all intersect into because when you have just regular comics and people can make the argument, well, it's just like a regular comic shop. You go in one tone is different. One tone is different. The problem is that all these tones have to intersect eventually. Which one wins? Or which one gets shown because in comics doesn't really matter. You just like that tone. I like that tone. It doesn't really matter. But I'm already looking at the tone of lanterns and the tone of say superman or supergirl. They're significantly different. Maybe some people don't give a shit about it. I don't know. But how do you feel about it, Kim? I think it's okay. I mean, James Gunn made that defense when someone was like, oh, how is this all? There's someone did a tweet that was like all the images from like lanterns, superman, supergirl. And it was like, this is all in the same continuity, by the way. And then his retort was like from a certain year in DC comics where it was like the bright stuff, the dark stuff. And it was like, so was this, right? So there is that argument you said. It's like it's like going into a comic book shop.
For me, and I haven't seen American Vandals. So that's why I'm going to be a little hesitant on speaking too much on it. I know what Gorilla Grodd could be though. I mean, Gorilla Grodd's supposed to be like one of the most, you know, everybody is menacing, right? Yeah, everybody's so excited about Doom because Doom is like one of the smartest human, or persons in the entire MCU, right? And that, you know, just like how Magneto was smart and stuff. Grodd is supposed to be one of the most super intelligent human beings or whatever he is on the entire galaxy. Yeah, so that's what he looks like in the picture command. And he has such intelligence that he can get people along on his side and his conquests and stuff like that. So going from that to, and I saw the footage, I thought it was a joke. I thought it was like someone was doing AI or whatever and to see the footage, sorry, I thought that was work, to see the footage of him dancing. I don't want to shit on it because it's not out. We haven't even seen a trailer, but I just feel like there's other characters. There's this opportunity, right?
She Hulk, for instance, was super goofy, but in her comics, she broke the fourth wall and was super goofy. But it's not like they did a Daredevil show and they're having Daredevil dance in Central Park, right? And it's that whole thing too of just like how peacemaker had that opening dance number. And it's like you said, James Gunn just likes to do things with all his friends and it's probably getting, they're having a kick out of it in the writers room. But, you know, Grodd can be such, and that will, you won't be able to come back from that. You can't then all of a sudden use Grodd in a movie and he's like the most, you know, a crazy super villain Avengers. Right. Like the scariest members of like Planet of the Apes, right? That's what you want them to, you want them to feel like. So like if he was in Planet of the Apes, like nobody would see the chance. You can't have Coba doing, you know, the tango and then all the same. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. But in the next movie, it really just depends on how they're able to do it, you know, with the mockumentary style to where if he does, I mean, if he comes off goofy, then yeah, it's like he's wearing a suit and he's dancing and he's singing. I'm like, I don't, I don't know.
I mean, I just don't think he can disregard it right away, but I don't disagree with you at all that you just, you, you have to be very careful in how you're handling this villain because everyone's talking about we're getting this guy before you get the flash and he's like a big flash villain, right? So he's even great in the flash. The CW show, like they made him quite formidable and kind of like, I never thought like it would be that big like it was kind of silly, you know, but like it was pretty good. It's curious. You know, you're talking about the, the mix of genres. Deadpool is supposed to be going to be in Doomsday or whatever if he is. Is he going to break the fourth wall when he's standing in the same room with Cap or whatever? Like, I'm curious how MCU will handle that because I do think you can, it's, you can have it. Look, it is very bright and sunny in San Diego, but if I went to, you know, a horrible neighborhood in a, you know, the Gaza strip, not Gaza strip, but like Afghanistan during war or something, that would have a different vibe than, you know, down the street near Mission Beach, right? Sure.
You could have Gotham be dark and you could have, you know, other cities be bright and then mix it together when a world level threat happens. But dancing, singing and dancing and breaking the fourth wall, that seems like a little. Yeah. I mean, like I said, I think that if you're going for this mockumentary style, comedy style, you got the right showrunners regardless of, you know, knowing Dan or not, like they had a very successful run with American Vandal and what they've been able to do, like the, it's the right people to get. The question is, is it the right tone to set at the moment? It's not those guys, those guys will do their job. Those guys will deliver what they're asked to deliver. The question, again, is going to be, should they have been asked to deliver that? And the answer very well might be, yeah, they threw things out. They said, like, we're going to, we're going to do a kind of comedy side of it. We're going to respect, grow, grow, we're going to make it happen. And we're also going to really shine the light on Jimmy Olson and the things that are about to happen in Manitomorrow and other things.
Because when is this show supposed to come out? Do we know that? I will say. Is it seeing now? And I'm being a little bit devil's advocate here, but we did get Penguin, which was fantastic and dark. And now we have lanterns, which is fantastic and dark. So maybe it is time where they do a lighter one, but I also worry because she Hulk was shit on all over the place, right? Yeah, yeah. I mean, look, it's, it's, I, look, I'm watching. I'm watching lanterns and this is, this could be just boring, a boring take, which I completely understand and respect, but I was just watching lanterns going, I don't know if trying to do a thousand different tones right now for DC is the way to go. I think stick with the tone and this tone is pretty good with lanterns because it's hard to do a straight tone of a universe in the style of both consistently with Matt Reeves, what he's doing, what Christopher Nolan did in pacing in the realism side of it, right? Because it couldn't have Gorilla Grott and Matt Reeves or Nolan's universe, right?
So you're kind of limited by doing it that way, but combining it, combining it and doing like there is some grounded stuff going on in lanterns. But then within seconds, how Jordan will fly off into space and go talk to Sinestro? So and they do, they handle it really well. So that I was watching a couple of different times. I'm like, I wish they would just adapt this lanterns and hands down the best thing that DCU has done so far. Hands down. I love the actor who did Sinestro. I wish they'd dolled him up a little more. So Sam Thode just had a sunburn. I'm not even kidding. We were watching that in the reaction. You're 100% half due because I did. Did you see the other one, by the way, I didn't know if you liked it or not. I haven't watched it yet. I sent you two versions, by the way. I'll check it out. Yeah, but it's really funny. Yeah, it is. It's like this was this guy with a sunburn. Yeah, you know, I thought the Mark Strong version looked good, you know, like, but other than that, yeah, the acting was fantastic. It's great. I love what they're doing with the show so far.
The show is really solid. It's doing really well. Doesn't it make you excited? And here's what I also, you know, Aaron Pierre is really knocking down the park as John Stewart. Now I'm starting to get those vibes, which the MC did early on, which is you'd have the first movie out, Captain, you know, you had Iron Man out, then you did Thor, then you did Captain America, and then you were excited to see him all together. Right. I'm excited now. I mean, I know that Superman just was like, we'll just throw everybody out in the first movie, which to me was like, why are you doing that? But I am excited now to see John Stewart mix it up with some of these characters, right? Like I know Guy Garner is going to show up eventually in lanterns. That's going to be the interesting take. How do they handle him? How does he because he's goofy, right? And he fits into the goofy tone of Superman. He even fit into the goofy tone when they put him into peacemaker during that scene. Yeah. So he fits into both that. How is he going to fit in to this show? I'm not saying they can't do it. They very well could and somebody brought it up in the chat. And I thought a very good point is look at the way they adapted, like what they do with
the Punisher from you go from the Punisher from his Netflix series into the Daredevil series into Spider-Man significantly different and toned down, right? But to me, still worked pretty well and adapted to that tone. So can you, I think you had a better shot of adapting to the tone with the Guy Garner because there hasn't been a precedent set for how you're going to adapt to the tone with Gorilla Groud because the Superman universe is this Jimmy Olsen universe, right? So I don't know. Well, we'll see. I'm curious to see it. It's a great point on that Punisher thing. You watch that Punisher one shot and you're like, damn dude. And then how is that going to work? And now all of a sudden he's quippin' with Spider-Man and getting a web shot on his mouth. But it works. So I think the guy, I think it's just, if you place a character in a lighter situation, let's see, it's going to be on the actor. So how Nathan Villain will do. Yeah. All right. So I'm very curious to what you guys think. Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. What do you think about Gorilla Groud? This is the way to go. You're going to give it a shot.
Or is it just the wrong way to go in your opinion? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. We got a lot of stories and some games to play. So I figured, tell you guys right now about both final, both factor and Ruzziya. Here we go. They're going to get soft. And I'm going to get harder. Really peel the two days in a row. Two days in a row. Come on, peel the, where's that bubble? What's your bubble? Is that Luke this time? Son of a bitch. Welcome back, everybody. It's show 16 for me, by the way. Show 16. Oh, nice. I like that. You know what I was thinking to like, are you still in your, your, your, your thing reads? I was going to tell people to make sure that they check the link in the description. Oh, yeah. And I also am going to reiterate that if people don't understand the dynamic between
everybody on the show, whether it's hosts or producers, democracy, when it comes to this, you say things we don't like. We throw you out. And we'll never see you ever again. So people yesterday, people have thrown some comments on it. They're going to peel the, and I have them fun. And, and then, you know, if I get some turd on wheels, comments like, I'm going to see you ever again. Bye-bye. It's funny. I'm literally bringing that up. So while comments like that, you know, are from people that hide behind the keyboard, I will say, so for me, you notice I'm very active in the comments. Yeah. I like it to be, I like my show. I'm trying to make it really interactive. I'm active on Discord. I'm active in the comments. Yeah. Because I want to be part of it. But, you know, there's that famous saying, I think from either Kevin Smith or Joe Roevin who said it was like, never read the good shit and never read the bad shit because it's all the bad shit, obviously, right? So, you know, there was a comment yesterday that was there and said something about how I was feeling like I'm the most self-important geek out there.
Yeah. And I responded respectfully. And I'm like, hey, like, I'd love to hear why. Like, just I'm always curious. And I'll give a shout out to the guy. And I think his name was Virgo or something. He responded. And actually, responded respectfully and was like, oh, just when you went on your inter-Geek dem rant. And then I was able to reply, like, look, I was gone a month. And they were talking about me every day. Like, I had to clap back, you know? But like, I always think it's fair. Like, for me, I like to, I'm trying to get better at this. Yeah, people have conversations and it's in terms of respect. But he did it respectfully. Like, he did it in the way that you would have, if you saw it during your live show, you would have gotten mad because I think he added an LOL or an MLA. So you would have probably not got mad. But I will, if he's listening, man, I always appreciate the good and the bad. I'm going to still be in there because I do like to respond and interact with people. Chris does a good job of that too. So Chris Carr, but yeah, sometimes you get the bad ones too. Yeah, it happens. I'll embrace them. It happens. Well, listen, but I know what you were talking about. Like that comment was like a lot of work.
It doesn't matter. I've always watching also. Yeah, he's Gonsky. Gonsky. So the other thing, by the way, as you were mentioned, it's only fair that, and people don't realize this. When people are talking about like the losses that don't tell Peter, it's like all that kind of stuff. Like, and you won't see that for seasons upon seasons. We're in the thick alike season three right now. And this was not a pretty match whatsoever, by the way. This is where you are, buddy. This is up right now, Mark Ellis and I defending the team titles against Roca and Nose. That's literally going up on the channel today after this. We're approaching the end of season three, approaching the first ever Schmodown spectacular and we're close to 2,000 subscribers on that channel, Chris. My favorite branding of your spectacular was that first one. It was very old school. It was very old school, for sure. I need to start doing it. I have a schedule set up like that I'm really like going to start adhering to where I do your shit, my shit, work shit. And part of that is going to be doing some shorts.
And I could do shorts across all like even newer stuff, right, with celebs and stuff. That was my question. Yeah, yeah, definitely. So Kevin's doing a lot of these things which is great. And the other thing he did yesterday, and this is part of the kickstart thing, and we'll jump into another story here, is that he cut this together and he's going to be helping us with the kickstarter video, but check this out. How long have you said, I want to start a YouTube channel that you just haven't done. Maybe you don't know what the channel is going to be about. Maybe you're thinking about equipment, maybe you're thinking about thumbnails, maybe you're thinking about titles, or what is your first video even going to be about. And eventually you spend so much time trying to figure everything out that you actually never even hit that record button. And that's why I created this 40 day creator challenge. I spent years building various YouTube channels, making content, hosting shows, doing interviews and learning what works, and most importantly making a lot of mistakes along the way. So over the course of the 40 days, I'm going to help you find your new channel, figure out your equipment, get comfortable on camera, create thumbnails and titles, understand analytics, and actually publish your videos. This is something where I want you sitting around to just watch hours and hours and lessons.
You're going to have something to actually do. You're not going to spend 40 days learning how to become a YouTuber. You're going to spend 40 days becoming, so if you're waiting to finally start your YouTube channel, this is it. This is the right time. Join me for the 40 day creator challenge and let's build the channel together. Come on, we'll have a blast. So it's really a great video and by the way, I even, dude, I just realized I have so many other tricks in the toolbox that I have to transfer over to my new computer. Well, it was great because it showcased the fact that that's one of the tiers on the Kickstarter and people will go to see that. And now for people who watch this show and you've seen that video when they're going through the tiers, when they're announced, they'll, they'll kind of, oh, that's the thing that they keep showing on the live show. And they'll have a little bit more reference to it. But I show that, Andrew, and I showed that, that texted you yesterday. Andrew Fried loved that video. I hadn't put it two together that was him. That's awesome. You love that video because we're putting this or our good buddy Aaron Wilhelm. Cut together a version of like the video and then we have, and we're doing some things
to it and we're moving and we should have that Kickstarter video out. Well, and it's got to be up by the time we launch, but we're working on that. And Craig just sent me the tiers. So everything's great, man. Everything's, everything's moving. Are you going to release that what we just had as a short on your channel, too? I think so. Yeah, we're, and I'll have to related, I'll have to put it in the comments because I'm trying, I'd like to drive people to see like, you know, what's going on on the actual page itself, but I want to get to your games in a second. So I want to let's, let's, let's get to a few more of these stories because there's, I'm old school on the games today. So it's like five in a gauntlet. So we'll be a little more time. Right. What should we do first? Let's, you know what? I want to do this one because we brought this up yesterday about the, you know, the Avengers and how, what a potentially could do and doomsday could break records and could it wind up crossing, you know, that type of money to where to get close to three billion could have breaks Spider-Man stuff. Well, this is adding a little fuel to the fire.
And you've got the doomsday pre sales. I've already hit 50 million in pre sales, which is insane pre sales. Doomsday is one, doomsday, please don't call it that. Please don't call it that. What? What? Oh, please don't call it that. Doomsday. I hate it. I kind of love it. Oh, I hate it. I hated Marvin Heimer and I hate this too, but I'm, you know, I also hated, you know, what was it? What was it called? JLo and Benifer. Oh, God. It made me want to drive my head in the wall. And also, maybe I want to drive my head in the wall because I'm sure an athlete want to drive his head. Oh, yeah. You said that footage of him shutting the car door, he had it going around and he's just standing by. And no, I don't think anybody did. Nobody to, who would take that except a day when you're not having a good day with your, your significant other. And he's just like, all right, it was a good worst time, but the way he shuts the door with the hand like, yeah, he's had enough. He didn't do anything anger. He just went, I had enough. I had, I had absolutely no problem with that video whatsoever.
I think it's a serious celebrity. That's what happens, man. Dude, the people just follow him around all the time and he just likes, the guy just likes to chill. I actually used to see him in a like quite a lot. Yeah. Big dude. Big dude. According to global box office, the title has crossed the 40 million mark in domestic pre-sales before its release. Film, the first time a film has ever achieved this volume of US advanced ticket sales. Spiderman brand new day was 40 million. So it did 10 million more than brand new day, which you'll go with brand new day is done. And domestic pre-sales are on 40 days out. To be fair, that film didn't have tickets on sale until much closer to its release, hitting the 40 million mark after less than being available. Not fair stat, but doesn't change this stat. You know what I mean? Pre-sales for Dune's day were first available in July of a limited to PLF screenings. More general tickets became available from mid August. The numbers come in the wake of directors of the Russo's talking about how they are in improvisation based, rehearsal based directors, which is why they're able to go into production with a lot of finished script.
They also cited Sergio Leone's a Kenic Western once upon a time in the West as a particular inspiration for the film which brings together the old X-Men, New Fantastic Four, old and new Avengers and bringing back Downey this time as Victor Vodd. I'll do them. According to Boris Kitt, Disney has officially announced the pre-sales of the film have actually passed the 50 million mark. So carrying on for our conversation yesterday, Cup, what do you think this means? Does this mean, because if Spider-Man currently, if I look at Spider-Man brand new day, I'm with you, we don't have to go over the same points where if it's good, because we both agree there. If it's movies good. Let's take it that it's received as well as brand new day. Brand new day is currently about 2.4 million, 2.4 billion, excuse me, 2.4 billion, it's 924 domestic, 1.4 international. And so, and it started out of 40,000 in pre-sales. So Avengers right now won't be the only game in town.
A Spider-Man was the only game in town. That's why it has an advantage, it might still beat out, Doomstown. You know, so it was the only game in town. People would go, oh, this is only just a third or fourth week. Yeah. Well, I mean only game in town, meaning that brand new movies, it'll have like two or three days ahead of Doom. But I do think those two or three days, as I mentioned, could help word of mouth if it is really solid. First question is, we don't need to hit the 3 billion question again, because we've already covered that. Does this movie go over 2.5 billion dollars total? In the first run? Yeah. And it's it's tracking like 10 million more than Spider-Man. But taking into consideration what they said that Spider-Man had didn't have its tickets on sale in advance the same way that Doomstay does. Well, I'm going to say, I saw and I, you know, with this day and age, you never know which
is right. But someone else leaked recently that like early word around the campus is that Doomstay is better than endgame or people like. Oh, really? Yeah, I don't know. It could have it might have been a shame or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was too. But with that had to start and it's a little bigger and it's holiday season, right? I think it hit 2.4, 2.5 in its first run. No, not counting like re-releases and stuff like that. So you're saying it does? Yesterday, you were born whether or not it's going to be Spider-Man. You think it will be? Yes, but that was before. I didn't know that the pre-sales right now for day one is at 53 or whatever it is, right? Like something crazy, right? It's really, they said it's surpassed 50 million. It's the time when it's over. It's the most passing 50 million in the other one. So you have to, you almost want to put that in like a calculator and be like, all right? Like judging from how Spider-Man brand new day did and this was their pre-sales versus that, like what would be the odds and stuff like that? I wonder. So what's the record for opening day, like even if it's like a Thursday?
What is the record for all time box office on day? I feel like that. I know it is. It was Paul Lloyd Mall Cop. Paul Markson. Sure. But I think it'll probably be end game if I was the guest and I wonder what that number is. Or Infinity War. Didn't Infinity War pop like. One of those two. One of those two on day one. I mean, brand new day is probably has pretty good two. Yeah. So I'm here. What do you think? I mean, I got to stick with my prediction. I think I, you go ahead, really. It looks like domestically it's brand new day actually with 169. Wow. For just nine million in the three thousand. One 16 is 169 million on day one. So for that was end game at 157 million. Right. Okay. So Spider-Man brand. Spider-Man. It's a crazy one sixty seven. So that's another question. Could at one sixty seven.
Is there any world that doomsday does two hundred million on day one? That's that's about crazy. No. I think it does. It prevents that. Well, I mean, again, I push back on that aspect of it because end game did was the number one movie before brand new day and brand new day was in short. Yeah. Um, I don't think runtimes have the time. The only thing that I will say there what runtime does do because it's going up against tune, which is also another long movie. That's what limits limits screens more so than because the movie's long. Yeah. It didn't have a lot of competition. There's play it in loop with a bunch of other screens. I just wonder again, Pildi, what is, um, what is Dune currently tracking at and what are Dune's opening sales? Like what's, what's Dune's numbers right now? Because I still think, I mean, I have a double and nothing on this, um, this cocka
made me bet that we're even here. Roca have those two because he changed the, he changed the rules of it. But, um, it's the cocka made me bet. And I also propped for using the word cocka made me. Thank you. Um, well, the bet was that there was, I just didn't think Dune was going to make a billion dollars and double nothing on the stakes that we, that we had, uh, we already had two stake dinners and I did double enough and we cancel it out. And then he, I said, okay, he said, well, it's got to be good in order for that bet, after we made the bet. And I said, well, what's good? How do we know? How do we determine what, what's good? What's well received? Like what's, is there rot in tomato score? And he's like, yeah, it's got to be over 91%. I'm like, what 91? Like 91%. So, um, what I really hope happens is that it makes a billion dollars and it's at 88%. Right? Yeah. Cause then I would win or not win. I just wouldn't lose. So 91. Not as many models, but it says, uh, it's, it is debuting north of a hundred million at this point, which is the highest that Dune has done down. Okay. Um, I wonder what would have done if there was no Dune stay there or what it would be
doing. So I wonder, it's either way that it's going to do very well. What a great, what a great day for the box office though. Yeah. I think it's just to go to the movies like, you know, it's like, that's going to be, or, or a great weekend. I just wish that original IPs used to people would go out for those again. You know, I know they did that with Oppenheimer and I guess Barbie was new IP people. Yeah. You know, some of these movies that come out and you just wish like, you know, you discovered new franchises, new IPs and, uh, uh, Rebel Dawn. I still haven't seen it yet because I haven't had the heart to because like, I like watching something. If it's going to launch something, you know, I'm curious what people with the new IPs think of it. But, you know, uh, Rebel Dawn just had, didn't have a shot. And I remember growing up when I was, you would write these stories and I'd be like, this is going to be my, I'm going to write my Star Wars and stuff like that. And, you know, you have to really, it has to either be an existing IP or like a horror movie. It seems these, well, you know, the whole story behind that, right? Is there what behind Rebel Dawn? Yeah.
Yeah. It was a Star Wars movie that he just was, he was doing and then he wasn't doing it anymore. Um, that's funny. And in film school, we did a, I had a Vietnam War movie where a GI gets held behind. And then our teachers were like, you just did a civil war movie. So then I did, it was, I pulled a Rebel Dawn. I was like, okay, we'll make the GI's of this Sydney kids. I should make the, yeah. The Viet Cong and we made a sci-fi movie out of it. That was, so anyone, this is a whole different conversation. But as far as the Doomsday goes, very, we're going to keep it our eye on that one because that's going to be, that is going to be a story to come. So I'm very curious to see what people think. Is anybody's mind changing? Because remember when I made the announcement earlier, like five, six months ago, there was no one on my side, no one was on my side. Never thought I was an absolute lunatic for even thinking that it could have approached three billion. Do people think I'm as crazy as they did initially or people on my side now or people think it's not a bad, bad, but it's still pretty impossible. I'm very curious to think what people hear what people say now because I don't, I can't
remember who was on the show when I said that that day when I'm like the first time I ever said it. But and I'll tell you, I want to make sure that at least my audience, if it does hit three billion and somebody else was like, I said this, you know, I said this back in August, someone else says it and they're like, okay, like I said at first, nope. No crazy idiot said it first except me. Yeah. So. Well, you better get those receipts ready. I know. I know. You better make sure you have that all. I hope you're loaded all into it, especially if it was against Rook. I will. Right. I don't like it. I don't want to say. Yeah, I'm not Rebel Dawn. Rebel Dawn was a great novel that would introduce us to Kane and Jarrett. Yeah. I know. Just don't want to pull a Winston or a mic or an art of, you know, AI and stuff. Yeah, gotcha. Aren't anyway. So let's, let's keep moving on. And I think we're with timers. I mean, we do want to talk about Matt Reese. Penguin, you want to do, I think we probably need to do your stories. So let's love to do the Matt Reese. I don't know what it is.
I didn't know. No, let's, let's do this. Let's save the Penguin story and, and PLD and look, I want to make sure that we do this moving forward because Luke goes through and he puts the descriptions in before we start. But he usually, he'll put in everything that we're, could potentially talk about. What I don't want to do is leave stories in there in the description that we don't talk about because people come in sometimes and they go, where, where would you guys talk about this? And we can't believe it. So if we can, any topics that we didn't talk about guys, because we're going to move forward to Kevin's games now, just delete them out of the description. What was the TLDR on that? Are they bringing it back or, or they're not, right? And we show. Well, he reaped his deal. He reaped his deal. So, so the, so the room, so the rumor is that maybe he, he will present that that, that goes into the reason why I don't want to cover that right now is because that's a 10 to 15 minute conversation. Yeah. I think Winston, I can cover that tomorrow. It's just that I still get sad when I think of that last scene with Renzi and, and Penguin man. I don't even do it. You don't even bring that up. All right. I know.
Let's, let's get to the games. All right. So should we, should we play, before we even do it guys, just to, if you have not already checked it out and you're not, you know, following it, like I've been telling everybody on, on the trending campaign for Kickstarter. Oh, look, he, he updated it. I updated the page. I actually think this works better. Let me, let me, let me show you guys. Tell me, did you, did they add that sticker to it or did you, your, your team add that sticker? They sent, they sent the sticker and our team added it. Yeah. Of course. Yeah. So, so let's see. I'm going to bring it up again because check this out. This is pretty cool. I'm not only do you have that sticker right there, but they updated it with the, with, and a fan had done this too, which is amazing. What do they do? That picture. See that picture? Well, that's new. That picture's new. It was, it was, it wasn't in color. It was in black. Yeah. It was in black. We updated it. Did someone say like, and when it's black and white, it looks like you guys have died or it's like something like that.
Yeah. They actually said that. So it's, but I'm, but yeah, so right now, two thousand two hundred and thirty three. So as I have been mentioned to you guys again, if you aren't following this, please do it because if we get 13,000 people put in 25 bucks, we make the show and you guys, and like, I'm looking at some of the rewards that he just sent them to me and they're really solid man. They're really, really good. That's great. So all right, let's get into it. Let's, you want to play your, your, your opening Pieldy? Let's get back. Let's do it. Let's do it. Because audio listeners have no idea what this sound is. This is the logo for. That's a great, now, Zary voice right there. If you need a FAKA DJ radio and Alcir in your trending on the car radio, let me know I can give you a five a 10 in the morning. It's good. Christian. I don't know. Pieldy put it up. You told me to put it up there. We were talking yesterday about Rambo versus Dorothy and how AI.
It's super. It's like I'm ever seen. But the fact, I wish you would have said something better than that though. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, I, it's just, it probably just pulls from the script or whatever. But yeah, that was definitely one of those food talk hammies. I'm excited for today's games because Luke is back into the chair of doing the graphics and we know sometimes Luke will just set it and forget it. So I'm excited to see if there'll be a crazy AI looking character in one of the images. All right, let's see what we'll start first with the gauntlet. For those who forget what the gauntlet is, I will list, don't start making jokes. I will list a musical theme. And then when I say the next movie, if it's better than the Halloween, I'll say the next movie.
And it's the gauntlet. Which gauntlet, which musical theme should survive? If you're getting a copyright strike, bro. Holy shit. I'm going to repeat that whole moment. So in this gauntlet, you will start with a musical theme. And if I say a musical theme better, that takes the new gauntlet, we'll read and you know, we're just going to continue on. We're going to figure it out. Are we ready? Are you still are you pissing yourself? Oh, mommy. All right, let's go. So there are other themes I forgot. If you say it in the chat and I catch it, I will throw it on there for you. If it's a super chat, I won't be able to see the other ones. So if you have in mind, but I have a ton here, so we're going to find out and you're right. I do take forever to explain because now I'm even. I'm annoying myself.
You just made yourself fall asleep. See all the guy. You just don't worry about your parents when you're younger. I'm good. I'll put myself to sleep. I'm just going to tell myself a story. I'm just going to talk to myself about what I did today. He'll take me about 12 hours to do it. I'm just going to say, I just thought, I'll talk to her how to make a peanut butter sandwich, but it'll take me about 27 minutes. Explain how to play gauntlet right now. It's good size. Let me see how good you can explain it. Go ahead. Come on. I don't want to bore you. We have 15 minutes now to play the whole game. Could you talk to me? He's under a minute. Fine. All right. Here we go. Best musical themes. Super chat. If you want to add one of yours, we're going to start with, and this is the main theme.
I know there's many themes, but it's arguably what the main theme is. So we're going to start with Halloween. Okay. All right. Take it easy. Or psycho. And I'm going with the shower like the re re re. Halloween. Halloween. Halloween is you have to explain it. You don't have to explain like the perfect example right there, what you said to me when you're like Halloween. I got it. And psycho, you're like, I'm like, what's the cycle? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I recognize it immediately, but the more recognizable and the one that stands out the more solid. Wow. I think that would be the more iconic one though if you were like, yeah, yeah. All right. So we have Halloween and the pink Panther theme. What's a good one, but I still take Halloween because I don't know if the pink Panther theme has aged along with younger generations. I think that I think, you know, it depends if you do the 70s, 80s. Yeah. 70s, pink Panther wins, I think, because Halloween is starting to build momentum, but there's
been new movies that successful movies with Halloween that younger generations know. So it's Halloween. Halloween or Beverly Hills Cop, Axel S. Oh, it's a good one. I'll actually going to go with the Axel F because that actually turned the reason why, because I see Pilti shaking his head like he just goes balls caught in a bear trap. But I think that what it actually, the reason why I take it is that I think that that song of Beverly Hills Cop carried over into other songs and music. People who know it don't even necessarily know where it comes from, but I think that it is, I think it's been used so many different times in different songs that are probably more recognizable. It's almost like a anthem for the 80s. Yeah. The Beverly Hills Cop or Predator. Beverly Hills Cop. Predator's great. Predator's great. Dinnininininininininininininin. My, I know. I know. Now, are we saying what's more popular or what's one I like better? I'm saying for you, just your best, the best musical theme. I haven't I haven't I haven't been ranking it that way. I've been ranking it. Well, I've been ranking it more
So what I think is the more popular. What do you think is the right the best route? Let's do more pop. Let's do more popular and I'll just give which one I like better because I like I like them both I like predator better, but I think that Beverly Hills cop is more pop. Yeah, so we're gonna still yeah That's why I feel like that's the way you did the original was the name of better moving than the dark night, right? Yeah, I would say the more popular that you know more people would recognize would do it. Yeah, yeah, so Beverly Hills cop continues ghost Yeah The the song The the main theme if you saw Ghostbusters. Let's use that that's used in Hollywood Hollywood Halloween and other things is all over the place playlist and it's it yeah, definitely ghostbusters Let's go a little Ric Flair style ghostbusters or 2001 a space Odyssey That's another one that Similar to what I said with Beverly Hills cop Is just recognized It's just a Ric Flair, you know, it's it's recognized But I still I'll go with my previous thing. I think that Ghostbusters is continuously used on holidays and other things
And I come back up in the way that home alone as a movie keeps coming back up over and over and over again That people will never forget it. That's the same thing with Ghostbusters. So Ghostbusters. I think shout agrees with you All right ghostbusters or Conan the barbarian Ghostbusters Conan just has an aged You know with with generations too, and I it's good basil, right? I think pulled there. Yeah, they don't Great theme, but it's not as recognizable as the other ones you brought up Ghostbusters or X-Men and I'm talking to theme from X2 and days of feature past not that not the animated series. Yeah, not the anime and the animated series We take a lot of those those Ghostbusters. Yeah, I can't even necessary if when I watch X-Men movies it'll come back But in it's just that John Yeah, I got John ommon right? Ghostbusters with way more iconic John ommon did the first yeah, and John ommon did that theme and Michael came into the theme for the first movie and it wasn't that good. Okay
Ghostbusters Or James Bond now we James Bond Because James Bond James Bond has has been around for a very long time, and it also not only does they continuously make new movies They use it in a lot of different songs and stuff too, so that I think that I think James Bond Yeah, James Bond might go get a while make go deep in here. Yeah Yes, but with a lot of this lot of bond girls James Bond or Robocop Robocop is Robocop is great. I love the Robocop theme. That's one of my I actually have it on my playlist It's so good, but it's not it's not more iconic than James Bond James Bond or mission impossible Good one If we're talking today If we're talking today, I'd have to say mission impossible because yeah, just because My same argument about younger generations if you played
Bond and you played Mission impossible to kids in there. Yeah, I don't know anywhere from my 13 to 20 years old. That's most of them all Know mission impossible. Yeah Mission impossible taking out 007. Yeah I love this theme. I use it in my co-tour movies a lot mission impossible or starship troopers Mission impossible starship troopers are good. I can I you know if I heard it I'd be like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I a lot of my comments We use it for whenever the ebb and hawk escapes out of a dire situation We have these starship troopers and they get comments every day to this day like true With the number they'll be like starship troopers. I'm so curious how old this person is Because every we know because a golden eye you think you think a 13 year old is golden eye Oh my god, I love that so it's great. It's one of the best games of all time But they were you released it by the way today, but I don't know maybe that's what he's talking about I don't know well, and he's referring to that gold night. They did like a perfect creation of it for mod consoles
Or I don't know if it was no, I know I know the video game. I played it All right, so mission impossible or Kaiser's least favorite movie Rudy It's Rudy's got a great theme, but it's not so good. It's a great thing But it's not more I kind of share goldsmith. I think I won I think I beat I think I won a match on that one I'm gonna do it. Oh nice. I lost don't tell Peter on that when Jerry Goldsmith star Trek themes or he had a Mike had to list all the star Trek movies Yeah, good bond James Bond or Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, no, not bond mission possible mission possible. Yeah, mission possible Mission impossible or pirates of the Caribbean Um No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's a good one, but it's not it's not more iconic than the mission possible mission possible or gladiator These are all great. Yeah, this goes back to your previous question gladiators were my favorite themes of all time but You would not even just younger people if you lined up 50 people
At least 40 of them would get mission impossible and I don't know how many of them would get gladiator so I would think 10 or 15 right I do like honor him the track honor him on gladiators Yeah, it's a great gladiator to and it was so cool Mission possible mission impossible or Jaws Jaws Jaws is used to just scare people no matter what that's like It's it's two notes Yeah, and you just You just know like my I remember my my oldest When she didn't see since hadn't seen jaws. She was very little, but we said once Something about Jaws, and I just go down and she's like, oh, it's Jaws theme like just yeah, Jaws I think there's a cool story behind that too if people want to google and dig it up of When Spielberg first heard that theme like I think he went into that meeting thinking he was gonna get something way more elaborate and then it was just like here It is and it was like perfect. Yeah, yeah Jaws and another Spielberg movie
ET Duh No, no, no, no, no, it's great. It's great theme, but it's not more iconic than then Jaws you should hear it on the Atari 2600 It's great great theme. It's a great theme, but and it's more elaborate than Jaws. Yeah, it's Jaws Jaws or Gremlins I love that theme you know that I used to play that for JT when he would make appearances on the show No, whenever he would show up I would play the I would play the No, just no, he would like it would he would show up on I Other Jerry Goldsmith, isn't it? I couldn't I couldn't tell you how to do it. It's Jerry Goldsmith They should have that the intergictum PJ if you're listening and I'm telling you Interstellar this is something so Jaws or interstellar inter this is for this generation. I think it is and it's but it's the say here's the difference if you played that theme to this generation because that theme plays on Instagram TikTok videos but
They would probably guess that it's from TikTok and Instagram or so then the movie They're not we were just recognizing it as opposed to when you play Jaws people go that's Jaws Yeah, they would be like oh that's from a TikTok video where someone was opening up their morning coffee. Yeah, it's Jaws And like my Kalanowski would have comments on that Chiming about it. It's great. The interstellar theme is amazing. Jaws or Braveheart? Braveheart's one of my favorite scores of all time. Yeah, I need it. It's it's one of it for me It would be if we were doing it in favorites. I don't know What would be it except I'm sure you're gonna have something in a little bit that will probably beat it But it would be my favorite but if we're talking we're our rules that we set up Jaws is more iconic Great Jaws or Willow Great. Great. Amen. They used they actually used that I remember you going to movies when they would promo other stuff They would use that all of the time and they use it for other trailers But Jaws they would also use Bruce Lee story
I forget the name of the dragon the Bruce Lee story. Yeah, they would use the Braveheart or sorry the willow Willow theme and also the dragon heart theme in all these like Yes, yes, yes, I remember that. Yeah, I am the last one. Okay Jaws right we're still at Jaws Jaws were forest gump. Oh, it's a good one too Yeah, it's a great theme people Alan Sylvester is a great theme If if this would have come up before Jaws, it would probably have been up the list there But we're going more iconic. It's Jaws. Yeah, Jaws or Shindler's list Jaws powerful. Jaws are powerful. Jaws are Titanic Jaws now Titanic is a good theme real good theme and Hit like and that is one that theme also has been come very popular on Instagram and and Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure
And different things the sling the on belting it out and stuff too Yeah, that's that's the closest one that came to overthrowing Jaws but Jaws and I still get Tariya I'd when she's in heaven and she goes back and everybody who died on the boat is clapping for her and he Jacks at the top of the stairwell like with the theme blaring Well, I have this on just because I couldn't not it's my favorite movie of all time But Jaws or glory. I'm sure we're getting glory is a great theme great theme and another one that they used for a lot of different trailers Yeah, but Jaws and another thing that they used in Avatar because climbing the the climbing set sequence Same composer he literally took the glory theme and added tribal drums to it. That's the next one. We have Jaws or Avatar Avatar's I love the avatar my my the true is it called the tree And that one of the last scorched games for her did before he passed Yeah, but it's really great Watching music and that in the Avatar stuff, but um
Jaws yeah, I think of the Avatar score my stepmom who passed away in 2009 I was like the last movie we watched with her So that big when I hear that music, I think of her and stuff um Jaws or rest in peace crane jaws or the Terminator theme The It's a great one. I think you can add a little in here. I don't want you to so rely on like What's iconic to I think you think I think that we have to stick with the we have to go back We had to retroactively change things if I didn't so I think you're right. I think we got to go with the more popular Right now and we just make that we're gonna do a short out of it. We just yeah, we'll keep going on the popular theme I would say Jaws is the more popular over Terminator. Yeah, Jaws. Okay. Now I mean this we're gonna get you It's getting in good now. I just see this yeah, Jaws or the top gun anthem I love that anthem But it's still Jaws by the top way Dude top gun is super popular. Which the last Jaws movie released Christian doesn't matter That doesn't revenge in like 19 whatever that's that's that's all that's my point. Oh, yes
My point because Jaws hasn't been released a movie hasn't been released since like 1987 And that theme just people know it immediately Uh, but Ron and the chat saying Jaws might be unbeatable. There's a couple here that I think you're gonna really test it Yeah, this one I think that's that's if you put it in there then it's definitely it's definitely you know, I'm yeah, uh, Star Trek That's a good one, but uh Jaws Jaws or gone with the wind You guys like my homie Jaws or Rambo oh Man, I love that theme that that is Jerry Goldsmith, um, yeah, and uh it's it's Jaws The So good dude. Yeah, um, especially like when he he's breaking out and oh man, I love the yeah who's come again I'm a huge music guy. I know that Christian is too. So um Jaws or Rocky Rocky Rocky, okay, I figured that was gonna be the one that be we need to have AI do a picture of Rocky fighting Jaws
Rocky's been used on a tremendously through sports and uh another and that is another one that just carries over the same way through It is just Super iconic plus the fact as where I said Jaws hasn't done anything in a seven Rocky has I mean they even used an in Creed because it was so recognizable in the first Creed that when it pops up there You just know with that inspirational thing of Bill Conti. Yeah, Bill Conti just made something really iconic Yeah, but I was talking about the rocky for I'm skinny Rocky or back to the future I think futures are going that's a good one um, yeah, but if you go over iconic back to the future would have been Would have been up there for a lot of these things. Yeah, but I'm trying even in my mind. I'm going I have to try to oh yeah, I can get it pretty quick Rocky just there. Yeah, I wonder if like when I set these up I try to send them up making them like the mid card to like the main of it. Yeah, no it's good You put some of the tougher ones up top You know, but either way it's good. Yeah, Rocky Rocky or the godfather
Good one too you put this in the 80s and I Yeah back to back against each other Um, that's a heavy way if you if you put now If you're if you're asking me if you ask me this question in Queens Um, then it's the godfather and and But if you're asking me overall, I would say rocky Rocky or Paul Blart Molcop Rocky or that's two mall cop jokes. I made it. Rocky. I don't know why that's on my brain Rocky or lord of the rings I whistle that one quite often I love the hobby even love yeah, I love lord of the rings. I love it um Said here's the thing though when people are answering this in the chat though too You're answering in his movie fans like that no and probably seen a million times over to just everyone the populace Yes, what is the more iconic theme? It's rocky. Yeah, you're at 100% yeah rocky or I love this theme so much But it there's no shot, but man of steel man it's still great
Um, rocky rocky or the dark night Nolan theme Great rocky rocky or the Batman the recent Matt Rob Batman the Batman Yeah, I mean that's taken from the nirvana song which I loved what Michael J. Kino did there, but I would say rocky. Yeah Yeah, I should just listen to that this morning. Yeah, well, I have such a fond memory of that movie because it was the last ever IG movie I watched before the finale and then I spun Batman and got it and there were two the Batman questions on Oh, yeah, you tell me that yeah had I not watched it the night before with Kaiser I don't know if I would have but I'm able to pull it saddened many times Um, so we're still with rocky rocky or Batman 89 That's such a great theme same question or same answer that I think like what has stood the test of time? To movie fans people will get Batman 89 right away To the casual populous rocky people Yeah, rocky. It's like if if someone's never seen the movie, but there's a fitted footage of them finishing a marathon
They might sing to the camera like You know, because like they don't know even what they're singing it Most people even if you haven't seen rocky if you go dent dent dent dent And then a rocky go get the right away if you if you started humming Batman 89 to them If they've never they didn't know what the hell was even if they didn't say it I almost want to put rocky and like the winners category and then like There's one there's one there's one that I would battle with when superman 78 seven or the Superman That would have been a tough one in the 80s to to battle with but I just think he's been so many Superman themes since That that rocky there has not been a you know various rocky themes. So I would I would say um Let's say rock what would you pick between Batman 89 and the Superman theme? Superman's like James guns even brought up after the guitar version like and how That's a good point. That's a good one. I shouldn't that's one. It is it is absolutely An iconic theme that everybody knows there's no doubt about it. I just overall I mean
It could win Superman 70 it could win. I wouldn't Chastise anybody for choosing it. Yeah, I just feel that it's more generational and more things are interweave don't forget the jost cut had it and justlessly everybody used to everybody's it's it's it it easily could win I just don't think that I think I think because of the sports element and the amount of people that I've used rocky over yeah Whatever broadcast and things too and I mean yeah, I mean I should or spider-man 2002 the rating one rocky rocky or the Avengers Avengers see it's a tough one because it's today, but I would still say rocky Rocky or I have James Bond there twice. Sorry rocky or the Harry Potter theme That one that's not an easy one That's not an easy one, but they're not using it in the new show I would assume they're I I would think that I think that's dumb and the game didn't either the game did not use the Harry Potter
They're not using the theme, but they're making it look exactly the same. Yeah, I just looks like an AI like re-skin. Yeah, I was here rocky Rocky or Jurassic Park That's tough There's two of them too. It's like you have done and you have the Jurassic Park But then you are the brachy source, but then you have the done the helicopter one. Do you know a rock that Jurassic Park Is a bit of a riff off of the Disney Peter Pan song? No, I'll have to look into it. You can fly you can fly you can fly I mean it's side note today Learned there is a movie called something for the Incas with Charlton Heston and he played Indiana Jones basically before Indiana Jones Bedora jacket the he's a treasure hunter. It's really interesting. I would say rocky the over Jurassic Park Rocky over Jurassic Park Rocky or Indiana Jones
man Rocky, but the little rocky sketching it out rocky or the room that's the joke room that was my joke that I had planned yeah All right, there's one more. I feel like you said there's one that could beat it. It's gotta be it I feel like this is that game where I'm really in mind is it rocky or is it Star Wars Star Wars Star Wars final boss takes out rocky I mean yeah, everybody knows that. I mean everybody knows that and even you're not a fan of Star Wars You know Star Wars immediately. I don't say there's multiple themes that are in there. That would totally yeah I just like I like how you have to pop your head over the banner. It's my favorite part of this whole Yeah, do this. Hey, do this for you like putting your do this where you're like pulling your hands up. Yeah, yeah I figured it out. Of course, he chimes in. Where's the shit in the bag? Do you find that yet? All right, there you go Star Wars is the big winner the big boss at the end. Yeah, that was Star Wars
I mean because there's just been so many just generations that have heard the Star Wars theme to continue on it It's the same thing that I it's the same argument I make though someone chose rocky over Star Wars. I wouldn't I wouldn't say you're crazy See this is where I wonder in the design. I don't know though, man. I don't know though If you put like the rocky theme To Star Wars themes of a bunch of people. I think it just depends on the group of people you got that day Yeah, I feel like raw. Yeah, I know, but I'll take all take Star Wars. I am in what do you think like the design of this right? We did the dark night one which did very well and I started with the dark night and nothing beat it right I wonder if we would started at the top with like raw Star Wars or is that not fun or like you start Yeah, I like I like how you do you put the you put the one you think that would win towards the end Yeah, you kind of have a couple mid-carg battles. Yeah, all right That is a gauntlet and we'll get to go into the games now. We only have five of them today. So But see what but this is see but this depends on what you know what he but that this is this is I don't know how you're answering this The Ashaman suit Rocky so far down the list on what you think you like
Or what you think is popular because that's the rules that we had It's not what you like the best what you think is the best It's what is what is the most iconic and recognizable? So maybe you still feel that way But I'm just saying just make sure when you're writing that that's that's that's why those shorts always do well Because people all have their opinion. They're gonna have to through it and be mad that you chose James Bond or you know I mean right right To get to that. Oh, those are fun to do. I was good. So that was the gauntlet. We did it. I hear you go all right um I got to put my glasses on so these are all Oh so far so good. He's nailing it. I was hoping there'd be something crazy uh christian yeah, you find a treasure map But only one movie character known for treasure seeking is also hunting it when you rather race to the treasure jack sparrow lara Croft or Indiana Jones who do you have your best shot at beating to the treasure? We're talking about today I'm choosing Indiana Jones and guy can barely walk up the fight of stairs And I don't like the side kicks. He's choosing I can beat them out
Okay, how about them in their peak in their prime or I put it back up in their prime In their prime Yeah, Jack sparrow because he probably I might get lucky and you can take this off to them But I might get I might get lucky and find them on a day that you're drunk and passed out the other two are the other two are just way more dedicated Yeah, the other two like you have lara croft like and Indiana Jones that are they're not drinking on the job Yeah, well, no in their prime spirit explosion, but right because sparrow still in his prime But he's falls asleep a lot so The other two in their prime. They're just they're not backing off if the three so if the three of them had a treasure race who do you think would win? So it's basically between indian lara. I think indie would win I think indie would win. I think lara right. She has more technology in the tech and I don't know. He's just Any was fine. He was fine. He was fine to wait through like the the spiritual shit and everything else too At time travel Time travel dealt with aliens flew around and he's a mortal if he would have stayed behind that seal. Yeah
Hey question for you. Did you like uncharted? I finally watched that for the first time. I liked it as an adventure movie I didn't like it as an uncharted movie Okay, so you were a big fan of the game. So you had a couple problems with it. It it It did not do justice to the game and I liked how I'm hauling a lot. He's terrible choice for And I never played the game. Yeah, I love it. Like dude, this is awesome If you've never seen it know nothing about the game and that's it's a fun adventure movie and people who are judging it because It's a video because it's not like the game. I get it but as a movie is a reason why it did well was a fun adventure movie It's just not a uncharted Tom Holland by the way was a huge gamer. I was looking it up like yeah, he used to play the game. He would play the game on the set Yeah, and Mark Wahlberg Should not have been soli. He was only Given solely because eventually originally he was cast as Drake But then he aged out of it Oh, wow, and then they're and then they were like well, why don't you play soli? He doesn't look like soli at all Well, he's a young soli. I know soli. He said he'd come back. He said a sequel. They would tell me you
As a gamer dude you should play those games Yeah, I will you'll change your tune quick. Those are I'm not a gamer and I love those games Um here we go thought this is going on that breakfast club thing we had And I have a theme for each one of them. Let me see if you can guess what the theme are Five superheroes are stuck together for one Saturday and attention breakfast cup style Which group would give you the best movie? Okay, okay? So if option one you have Deadpool spider-man Harley Quinn shehulk and Wolverine That theme for me is Wolverine would just drive himself mad with all these quips and all these guys make joke and everything You have gambit Tony Stark Bruce Wayne Johnny Storm and Wonder Woman. What do you think the theme of that movie is Who's trying to bang Wonder Woman? Yeah, all the pimps all the alcohol You have Jean Grey Emma Frost Charles Xavier Martian Man Hunter and then Drax that theme is all the crazy mind crazy things And then you have Drax is just an idiot. Yeah And then finally all of our siblings right you got Loki you got a little Yelena Nebula Gamora and Black Widow
All right, which makes the best movie which makes the best big brother house basically Probably option one you're probably the most jokes out of it and you probably get You know, you're looking you got two heavy hitters in really going box office You've Deadpool and and spider-man right so people are gonna go check that out for sure Then the dynamic you have was Wolverine and Deadpool and Harley Quinn with his Margot Robbie who he was showing up for her So I'd say I'd say you know you got a bunch of box office draws if you're looking at it monetarily business wise It's option one yeah red carpet talk the the theme for that first one I tried to build was like The the funny quips like spider-man Deadpool Harley Quinn She helped they're all breaking the fourth wall making jokes and Wolverine would be sitting there wanting to pull his hair and his chop Mutton chops out of his face Good call all right. Yeah, that would be good. I would like to see who would win in a bachelor-style Contest between to a star gambit Bruce and Johnny's form. Yeah for the heart of wonder one Here we go now. I have examples of this on my notes, but you won't see it. Okay. Um, this is actually from a discord
You guys I do read all the discord um the discord uh, they give suggestions on the channel Which I'm always appreciative of that and this was from my friend our friend Asel Who gave me this last week right after the show and I was excited for it Which year is the best year for superhero movies? I have more examples than just provided Christian So I'll rat it off. I'll rattle off for you 2008 had ironman the incredible Hulk the dark knight Hancock Hellboy 2 the golden army 2014 had Kajah's favorite movie the winner soldier the amazing spider-man 2 x-man days of future past one of my favorites Guardians of Galaxy big year six 2017 we're gotten we got Logan gardens of the galaxy volume 2 spider-man homecoming Thor Ragnarok Wonder Woman Justice League and then 2018 Um is black panther avengers infinity war deadpool 2 ant man in the was venom spider-man into the spiderverse and Aquaman. Oh, I think that you you sent hair take that off of that What's that? Yeah, I think it cemented it with It 2018 I think because when um you said all those movies you were listening off
Like yeah, that's not bad. That was pretty good. That one was pretty great And then you put the spiderverse in there too having spider-verse plus infinity war at the same time Yeah, um, I think that I think that cemented it. I think it was 2018 Yeah 2018 I mean 2008 was pretty great. They were all great. They're all those ironman launching the MCU If you think that the dark knight all those years all those years were Could you make an argument for all of them? But it just when you what once you said spider-vers with the rest of those movies like those are I mean this is an Oscar winner right there. You know got some and then what infinity war did in general for setting up Yeah, I think 2018. I mean black panther was killing black panther. Yeah black panther. My panther was huge Yeah, holy and you have the art style too of like spider-man in the spiderverse. They made like the big swing that was great Yeah, good call. I wonder in the chat 2013 PCR. Uh, yeah, I man of steel is one of my favorites. I love the Wolverine Um, there's a couple of little stinkers on that year too So uh, but yeah, um, that was one that I thought about putting on their teeth
So thanks to a soul for that one And we're gonna go on to our next question. Thanks again to Luke for making these um You can save one legendary Directors biggest box office bomb by replacing its star with any actor of then are listed here Okay, so cutthroat island was a disaster right what happens if you put Tom Cruise in it Arnold Schwarzenegger is in John Carter in order to caprio stars in the lone ranger Harrison Ford is put in water world instead of uh Kevin Kostner or Tom Holland Is in Hugo. We're talking about probably a younger Tom Holland obviously Which we would benefit the most from the star power and maybe saved it box office Did talk did Hugo not do well? Yeah, I did a list of I was trying to figure out list of like that was uh it didn't okay Yeah, I could be wrong, but I feel like that was under under-performed to me. There's only one answer And I'll start by saying that um Was it is a Taylor Kitch who is in John Taylor Kitch. Yeah
Was not bad in John Carter was not bad and guess what That movie was not bad. I loved it the rest of those movies I don't know if you change a star power if it does anything for it Yeah, if you change the star power and put Arnold back at that point in time I don't I mean he was a little older So we're talking we're talking like a prime Arnold like during you know If somebody would have made that movie the same movie like in like the 90s It's Arnold all day long. Yeah, but I mean it's essentially kind of a total recall type of movie But yeah, but if you have him doing that That would definitely it's time that star power would be able to save it the rest of those movies It wasn't a star power problem and I don't even necessarily know if John Carter was a star power problem But it would have helped because Taylor Kitch was You know the rumor that if John Carter would have done well They would have never bought Star Wars that they were trying to launch their own thing and then when that failed They're like all right if we can't beat him join them interesting. They bought Star Wars. Oh, interesting I do think Tom Cruise going into cutthroat island. I mean Tom Cruise at that time
I think could have saved that because I'm trying to think who the male lead was on that And then you had Gina Davis, right? No, that was 1492. Yeah, no, that was that was cutthroat island Yeah, it was it was it was a Matthew Mo Dean Yeah, it was Matthew Mo Dean, right? It was Matthew Mo Dean and uh, yeah, it was a good Matthew Dean, Gina Davis and Frank Langola So yeah, I mean, I think if you're really trying to break it down to brass taxing numbers Tom Cruise Would be a significant upgrade over Matthew Mo Dean for that cutthroat island Mm-hmm, and I'm wondering how a water world would have done with Harrison Ford. I mean Kevin Costner was a star, but like Harrison Ford remember he directs, but he didn't he direct that movie No, he did not no, he did not um Kevin Costner, but I remember he did not do it from that time though was a pretty big star I don't know about anything necessarily to do with star power as much as there's just maybe we need You know all these movies would have benefited from the rock remember when the rock was like Box house by Agra yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean more
Ooh water world with Tom Cruise Princess positive Ghosts a predator channel by the way, she's a beautiful voice. But Princess positive says um Water World on Chris would say maybe yeah, maybe all right We got one more Christian. This is just fun in celebration of the NFL season starting on a Wednesday night last night Which I hate jeez why is it so many like give it keep it to Thursday and Sunday and Monday, but You could play one you have to play one NFL position for an entire game Christian, but you can't get injured What you could play either as cubie Running back wide receiver offensive lineman or kick returner. So yeah, that's the kicker. I'm the kicker The kick returner which gives you the best chances of having the whole game I have some thoughts. I shared this with Saul and Kaiser and they had some funny. Yeah, yeah, I got an easy one for me Okay, I was initially I was gonna say I was gonna say um The kicker because but because you said kick returner. It's kick returner. Yeah, I'm good destroyed If if it's just all you do is play in the game and
Not get hurt, right? Yes, not get hurt and you get 10 million receiver Why kick return or we'll catch all day go away for a second Um, and I'll tell you why Don't throw it to me That's all I would do Don't throw it to me. I'm just gonna run I'm gonna be you know you gotta put your expect okay fun now here's where you die and you lose They do a rant they do a handoff you're on the right side now you're expected to block this safety that's running at you if you Got a block it for the running back there are a lot of people who could play the line only who blocked for shit And I would be one of those people that day That's it Kaiser uh he said O'Line he can get knocked on his ass that clones range all day Feel like an O-line. I mean they'd be pulling you because he keep getting sack up for sack But O-Line no one's getting that running start on you if you can do that if you can do the fair catch thing They'll peel these probably right that was sauce Yeah, you probably want to do that. You just got a fair catch it all day um But if you don't want to be a pussy and that's how you do it
Yeah, you know what I do I just you I would just do quarterback and take a knee all I'll be a pussy for $10 million I Love some of the chats for giving funny ones referee cheerleader You guys all crack me up. I love it. So that's the sweats games good. I was going to back to back I like it. All right, so let's see because Kevin had those back to back Let's get him the win because I think right now. I mean I'm double checking and we'll see what um And yesterday we don't have your numbers yet what you and Kaiser did but like we do have What I kind of know the numbers I was so curious before I signed off because you could highlight all the start I highlight them and I sent them into yeah, but doesn't that's a game. Yeah, me an early total Doesn't necessarily work like that. Yeah, I was wondering in what ballpark we were in um Put put the number that you have in the chat and I'll tell you if you're from yesterday Yeah, if what you with the chat gbt told you and I'll tell you if you're on part of beat them Um, okay, uh chat gbt hold on. I have to look it up here the super chat total. It's not a big deal
Listen, so let's just fun. It would be fun. Yeah, well to get a win for Kaiser Well, they're they're right now they're in they're in the lead. We don't know your numbers yet But can't if you guys put in those donations you could have Kevin take out everybody Let's see live daily 77 smets games two days back to back. That's awesome news. Thank you. Life. You John Holdridge are you guys big into theme parks like I am glad you're here another day Kevin I think we can all agree that smets games are a blast. They are a lot of fun. Um, thank you very much I liked it in the I posted it in what chat gbt gave me all right. Let's see Um Well, if that number is accurate, you're probably right on the same par close as them But we don't we don't know yet. So I'll find it very fun. You know go right right down to the wire. Yeah Um, but yeah theme parks look I used to be and even when I was younger my kids love them kids love Um, they they do and we I just talked to them too We go now we do it yearly now I go to um this uh water park of splish flash out here
And they um they love it. They look forward to it every summer. So um, but yeah, we go to we go to we go to theme parks and stuff too Yeah, no, I know my my daughter is so funny. She was fearless when she was like too old to be too young to be fearless She was on pirates and the haunted mansion now like she's afraid to even go on uh right Um, yeah, I'm not a poop, but uh she'll get there. I was scared as a kid too Man, I was scared of like Pinocchio and stuff like that, but I love theme parks I would love one day uh to go like to just do a road trip and go to all the big theme parks Yes country. I watch theme park videos all the time. So John if you like theme parks uh you and I are the same because I love them So my wife does not love My wife Doesn't like the food them you're like, you know, it's just a no way sir, but I love The guy paid five dollars. He can hear me talk for one minute. I'm sorry Wow one minute at you one minute
That's I think I think we found the issue I think time moves differently inside of your head I think that's what it is Because if you think that was one minute That was one minute go back to the tape No I mean Sorry, I asked the question you got to answer. I got to answer continue Do you like theme parks? Well, yes, I do love theme parks and I'll tell you why my daughter when my daughter was going to think I My daughter I have seen my daughter before I woke up and I saw my daughter and then my daughter She likes theme parks and so she used to sometimes back in like she would use to the rides that she used to do Like she would like there was so many of them that she would like but so many of these Rides, she was not scared of them now today She's scared of them. So my wife I would tell you about my wife. I met my wife and we got married and one of these days Oh, everyone's oh, I had a I had breakfast this morning. Breakfast was good
And you know, so when I come back around the town people are there. I don't know why they're there But I look at them and I say hey, what's going on? And what do they say? Fair fair fair fair fair I'll take the I'll take the L on that one. I'll keep it close All right, let's moving on uh All right, here we go next one And we've got James Wheeler. What's up James? Hello, Christian and Kevin. Today's my birthday. Happy birthday. Here's my president to you my president to you Happy birthday, man. That's a happy birthday James. Yeah James Thank you. By the way, we should be giving you gifts. James is a long time Yeah, a long time donate or any comes out of you so many times he's here and talks to us And is super generous and Love having James part of it. So I hope you have a great birthday my friend. Enjoy it today. Please and thank
It's the doc doc. Have you thought about reversing it and doing smets games for Kevin one of these days What would you ask him would be if are you kidding? You know bad? I would be at that As much as Kevin is um, you know, we we played jokes here this is um The Kevin's the man at this he comes yeah, he was the one that came up with these ideas and said hey, I want to do this so I'll do it this way this way this way. He he puts a lot of effort and time into his stuff So yeah, you need to do another 24 hour stream too because apparently I would be if we'd take a long time to answer these questions Dude if I had you on the 24 hour stream you'd be the best of that You know, I can fill a buster the whole time 100% Having you on there would be easy. You gotta have you on there to go take a nap while I tell everybody about my day Is it have have Kevin read the first chapter of Harry Potter Out loud We don't know it's it's not a 73 hour Next one
You know shmit that ground show sounds like Joker folly a do-do well, I mean you know like I said I the difference with folly a do-do and and this is that You talk about shift in tone they took a like a King of comedy Scorsese feel and then just went to the stupid musical thing and just completely Shat the bed on how they did it so that was that was taught Phillips just saying oh, I'm gonna do whatever I want Which was not a great idea. This is There you can say whatever you want about this show They have a definitive idea of what they wanted to be and as I said before they got the right team to do it The question is going to be after the finished product is out Was it the right call Yeah, that's how it's gonna come out to be let's see Ron H happy Thursday all Launch day on September 22nd. I'm gonna be ready with energy drinks snacks adult diapers loob
Can the bias and maybe even some of Winston's Ascrack and no pants get ready guys hashtag trending all right there you go Uh jalen Turner. Thank you Ron. I was very kind of you and and very on brand Jalen Turner. Yeah, I'm already out in the Jimmy series a gorilla graduating lanterns is incredible so far I mean that's it jalen right it's a matter of What tone speaks to you and because this is the this is the pushback I have against the um Oh everything is just a bunch of different comics It's okay when you're selling comics to have everything and all over different tones and all over the place Because you're not trying to sell as many as you need eyes watching a television show or Money paying for tickets in a theater There's a smaller number of success through profit when you're producing these comic books So
That's the fear that I have is that like you said jalen you're like I love lanterns, but I don't give a shit about this one Because it's not the tone that's not what you need right now when you're building on a universe so um It's kind of like with the star wars when it came back like It's like you came back to the theaters with mandalorian and grogu. They were trying to be safe, right? Like we're some people might question that decision definitely um Chris minor was all these ww comparison to his ellis if you're talking about um Like competitor ellis people forget how dominating he was in the first like three seasons He didn't really lose in the first tournament. It was when we had a flawed system and we had the betting round and he didn't bet And he just didn't bet points he didn't miss you imperfect in that gaming and shatee lost because he didn't bet enough So That was that was that was the first tournament. He won the second tournament with me He won the third tournament and
he went all the way through And won a beat sam levine in season three He beat roca in season three He i mean any challenged moral for the title in a really underrated match by the way Um, and then then once he Step back and when he came back he wasn't the same like he just wasn't he just Wasn't as good. They was during those first three seasons because he was focused in on running the whole desk So who was like a dominant Chandler we're looking we're going we're going competitors not as overall you gonna go a dominant player A dominant wrestler and then went to um of the color Yeah, I mean who was it who was like a champion that does it because you can't say uh um I pld put gorilla monsoon. I would say uh and you can't do Jesse even No, it wasn't gorilla monsoon. I mean gorilla monsoon was a former champion that then ended up being like a dominating champion
You know Yeah, I was also throwing him out there because he used like kind of a controller He's getting mad a guy If you go gorilla monsoon for him on the desk is a great is it is well He was like a mixture though because he would be the straight Presby you will throw the jokes in there too. He was like a mixture of More so gorilla monsoon because he was always the baby face right he was never healed um Yeah, I don't know as far as the jeopardy theme now man we're over two minutes. Could you say mankind Well, he's too not not not enough. I think I don't know. Yeah, I don't know I don't know um That one's a tougher one for me. I leave it up to you guys to to jesson All right Nathan Drake Grat as a serious villain in the comics. That's what I thought and the flash show making him funny is such a red flag Could be dancing around like the robby Williams biopic Yeah, that's what I thought everyone talked about how menacing he was Yeah, I don't know Sure
Uh riff and Shaw Smetz games twice in a week we eat and good thanks. I love it Remember we didn't even have smetz games for like weeks so now we got two days in a row See he's not complaining about my long answer about the theme parks What he wasn't complaining about my theme park answer All right, hold on turn that up. What did you say? No, turn it up. I'm not playing your game I'm not playing your game like in West you guys think they'll ever do a co-tour in live action Not with the current administration at Lucasfilm I don't think Yeah, we hear we hear rumors that the current administration's not a big fan of that era or the style of What it represents so unfortunately Yeah, by the way, I just reminded me talking a lot. It's like that. Have you seen that meme where it's like oh tell me about star wars And then the meme it's it detects and it says oh glad you asked and then it's a voice memo and it says like eight hours eight minutes and stuff That's that well, that's also like one of Saul's voice memos Yeah Which I do get I do get a kick out of hearing them every once in a while
Rock movies with Tyler 99 here smash have some more kais are saying run nice A.K. Darden. Thank you Part one Christian just want to say you know see more positive Thank you. I'm playing way more devil's advocate on the show since dropping the kicks starter date and director What is the devil's advocate side of it though? I first of all very kind words and thank you so much um But I maybe he's I make he's maybe insinuating in a friendly way yes that you're Maybe not mean so harsh on things. Oh, I mean like you're seeing the other side of it because you're now involved in production That's that's interesting and and and and a good Point of view that maybe I didn't even notice. Yeah, maybe that's what he's just because you're in the middle of it now too Yeah, could me a guardie has been Over the last like weaker to has been a pretty big voice in the chat lately So that's very kind of you to say because I know you have been listening and he's falls out with part two And says it seems like a huge weight came off your shoulders announcing that and gearing up for the pilot I think it speaks to how exciting the project is now it will benefit the channel itself
Amanda yeah, I'm just telling myself comedy on set CGI replacements. Ultron is okay But that's that's another thing. So let me dress the first part of this too Um, well, that's very nice and it did it absolutely took away at my shoulders You got to remember and people and I'd tell people to which I understood there were some people who were right and said We've been talking about it for a bit when are we going and I was saying the same thing You know like last year we wanted to kind of run with this thing But things just didn't work in that direction and I am firm believer and it's gonna happen when it's supposed to happen But it doesn't change the fact that I'm like I want to share this with people I want to talk about this with people more so than just teasing and say oh, I had a great phone call and jumping off the thing and saying this I'm like I did have great phone Did have great conversations, but I couldn't share it now the fact that I can share it And I still have a couple other things that I'm like even yesterday run this call and I'd like to announce it tomorrow And they're like well, let's announce it Well, we're closer to launch date like okay, you know, and it's like so and I get it
I understand it, but I am absolutely excited that more and more people are getting excited about it because you know more about it And also like you're you're you're shooting your shot man. You're trying I'm trying I want everybody else to be involved in and again like I said currently right now we are at One of us we are at 202 34 so if you haven't joined today, please do so I mean I'm gonna stay on I didn't think I was gonna be a lot to stay on a little later today But I can today Only for a little bit because Sam's coming in to do the reactions, but I wanted to I'll tell you to stay on for three hours so I can get the win right a Kd already I'm just telling myself comedy and on set CGI replacements. Ultron is a good example strings Don't work in set photos. I'm so I'm peasantly curious about the garage show and hope the first trailer is great. I think that is a very fair way to look at it And once you see one dancing Grad I feel like what else can they really do well, but the first trailer has to make the first trailer will indicate whether or not
What we're about to watch you have to you you can't you don't you can't afford Just the lanterns trailer pretty much Just said okay look we told you guys were doing true detective in the world right and yes There wasn't a lot of lantern shit going on and everybody thought it was gonna be too serious and they weren't doing the lanterns things So that was the big complaint in the first trailer But they gave you what they said they were gonna give you and people like okay, that could be cool and second trailer Was I'm like all right? Well, they're mixing both of these things and I think the second trailer was pretty much A good representation of what this show was right They have to establish immediately what this show in the tone is in order to get people on board Yeah Jalen the russos were the ones to introduce spider-man and black panther and each one of their Marvel movies haven't missed this might hit the three billion That's my thought process you can you can't you can't start saying a lot of people have been wow their Netflix movies have been done well This is a very different animal they have they have not missed in Marvel. I haven't missed
And not only did I miss they've broken records. So I think you're you're you're on to something Jalen Uh, you're sure me to I've been seeing stories that a lot of the doomsday pre sales are scalpers and the amp He's been talking about canceling those tickets interesting is that something POD Let's let's get some research on that Crash and coyote where you've been Wolverine game reviews out now not looking good. No I heard really that's too bad. I heard that movie is gonna be good um Christ off for day with it was up. Okay. No, nothing. All right. Chris off for day Well inflation sucks. How many tickets were sold day one not how much money it made especially since it's gotten worse How many tickets were sold day one not how much money it made especially since it got I mean, I see the first part of it. Well inflation sucks How many tickets were sold day one not how much money it made especially since it got I think because of how because of maybe the tickets have gotten worse as far as ticket sales You know that might be what it means. I think so Chris. Let me know
John de x dragon. Probably reactor review. Hope. I just saw the um So I think do I have a screening for that? I don't know probably on my top three or five lists of the year for films of 2026 why it's an average original cinematic blast fast-spender and a candor are there oh there are there in another movie together That's interesting. I like it. I assume they're still together. That if that was a case Uh, let me see let me see if I have Well, look hope screenings. What's that? Do I have a hope screen? I did see that somewhere. Oh, yeah, there it is. Oh, when is the screening for that? It is gonna be did I miss it? Yep, I missed the screening so no I'll have to see it on uh I'll have to see it on on digital But uh, all right, what's your next big one? I mean now it's a nice and evil. The next big ones, huh? Resident Evil. I'm gonna see Resident Evil next Tuesday. I got you Oh and Pildi and Nijita look up the studio on those two dates that I gave you and see what times are available and then I can throw two Paul and see if I can get him in on those those two days
Uh, one of those students your schmitz who smets games theme song needs to be in a style of baby carrots song that they view as Versa Roca people don't really I mean that song I wonder if that song is still out there that was such a great theme song for him We found it randomly um I should do a theme song for the games. Yeah, I want to see if I if they have oh this is that I think this is it right? Oh, let me see I got it. Hold on Uh, no, is this it? No, that's not it um It it was I don't even know how we found it But it's pretty I don't know if this is it Let me see if this is it Oh No, I can't find it. I don't even know where to find it but it's like I was like I was like on the episodes It was on it was on the um It was on the last the finals that we just debuted it was baby carrots baby carrots It was the most animated I've ever seen Ellis get in an entrance. It's pretty great
Your schmitz who the only thing that can compete with jaws are Star Wars Harry Potter, Lord and rings Yeah, yeah, totally those are the ones that I thought about it. Those are big and the father no, the at the end True face John Josteem is so iconic. It had a second life in the black community as a d-bow music that yeah, yeah, 100% Yeah, it is an iconic. Yeah, it really is and they use that again. Yeah, really and he's right He's right these are for debaul so um Hey, hey, screw face do you ever do collaborations people maybe I should I shouldn't hang out with him on his channel if he does that with their good to small school shit I don't know if he does before for the Kickstarter. I like his icon Screw face is the best Go pal get in Zimmer loves cribbing himself crimson tide gladiator pirates of the Caribbean He's I mean, yeah, and Horner was notorious by the way the move the soundtrack for um by centennial man is basically A best of hits of john james horner and I'm not trying to shit on the guy He's one of my favorite composers of all time But it's kind of why I liked him because all this score started to sound so you're sure
Johnny Patrice arresting piece Mike McFarlane master roshine dragonball and buggy in one piece and many other Mike passive for battling brain cancer. Oh man. Wait buggy in one piece Oh, is this for the for the uh, the voice and animated Yeah, let me tell you I've known uh two people in the last two years that died from brain cancer That's a scary one really scary hits you and then it's like yeah, that's tough. That's tough Uh, yes, rochementu. I would actually watch if christian was roughing Which football oh Yeah, I mean people would be get hurt if I was rapping Go pal is don't throw it to me and no blocking No comment not a time for treason Uh thoughts on craigers saying get out of here Thoughts on craigers saying he underestimated how badly resident evil fans want leon s kennedy story told Um, is that is is leon one of the main characters of the game Leon yes, okay, I feel like it. Okay, I don't I don't I don't know I've never got into the resident evil games I um the ps1 I like dino crisis. It was kind of similar type of thing
I think that's honest to be said that That's honest is like I didn't realize how popular it was. I would you know Maybe there's a second one they can bring him in. I don't know, but I think it's honest. What do you think? Um, yeah, I appreciate the honesty of it. Just like what you were saying. Yeah, uh Ron H I'm a disney parks fan no go for me a lot of other Canadians on trips down south It'll be for a long while almost as long as Derek Johnson Uh, you're schmitz you all say you see either you buy a car or you go to disney landed this It's that we're taking care of her birthday. Oh, that's sweet. Very expensive. Yeah, it is Please have cabin do smetskings with each host who comes in as part of the long kicks start a livestream That would be awesome. I could pop in for like 15 minutes at a time throughout the day. When are you going when are you going to Disney? On September 29th and you guys you guys ready to get tickets? Yeah Okay, like uh, well, I'll talk about it off off here space Jesus 57 and you're paying what year had the greatest run of movies
Can be a number of classics or box office based What you I mean, I'll tell you what year only because I was working on a book about this for a while 87 89 89. Ooh 89 you look up the movies in 1989 and there are classics almost like every week Coming out in box office. Yeah, I can just say I mean I think fielded dreams Uh Fielded dreams Batman last crusade last crusade um Yeah, that was a good year 89 was crazy the year that aliens came out to where they always talk about 87 I think it's summer or that's the summer they talk about the summer aliens was 86 86. Yeah, I have some I'll define it on my phone where people do all the logos from their year It's been on x like someone started doing that's pretty cool Uh Ron H want to see smets go for direct a one-hour answer Stay tuned on September 22nd you might truth Mike Joyce. I'm looking forward to the grads series. I'm guessing he'll be the super villain We know by the end of it Legion of doom is coming into shape
How do you go from a dancing like a moron into like I am now king grads. I know. I don't know. How they're gonna do it Um, I don't know how we're gonna do it. You got to really I mean, but Mike's not wrong though If you can set it up to where he you almost feel bad form right and you're like oh, and you see him Just really go down this path and it's not just his goofy James gun comedy type thing and it's like a actual That's some you just kind of see the mockumentary Aspect of what the hell happened to this guy that made him go from there to there. Yeah, interesting I thought out there not a bad idea Mike Joyce Could it be like potentially that this is like a what if sort of like if girl a girl a grad had been shaped differently This is him growing like a glimpse of all from the universe girl a grad kind of thing like that's the moment Because gonna do that kind of thing. This would have been happy girl you're out of if this had happened But that's that's what I'm that's why I'm saying you can't really judge it yet because you don't know how it's being presented exactly you know, so like You have to see how it plays into overall things
So if it is straight on the nose I think it's a bad move But if it's kind of something creative and clever like that than maybe Uh gx Paula to be clear the synopsis of Jimmy Olson is grot is in prison after killing his dad And Jimmy thinks he's innocent he can still be scary. Let's wait. I agree with you. I totally agree with you. I think that that almost sounds like um Uh Mandalorian Grogu where you're you're you're relating to Mantis mode out see I would be rusty the punky muffin job is son Well, here's the difference between this and Mandalorian Grogu. This is actually gonna further the story of the CEO Okay Uh, all right, let's say by I agree with you gp g uh gx Paula. I agree you if you do it in a way where you're like Growing up, you know, grot was like this and they show him singing and dancing and and it was it could be maybe People forget you could be heartfelt But people also forget because you can see this footage and in the footage itself
Is like two minutes long or whatever It could be four seconds Of him singing and dancing or whatever it is to saying growing up grot with anyone to college and he did this Need that but where did things go wrong and they go to that aspect of it Very possible to that happen because of what he's really all the story. Yeah. Yeah. I mean So that's why say like just give it a give it a second to see and yeah, we're out of the hood I knew I was I'm being a little facetious uh chat trying to Yeah, Blaine lesson my skills Smeats have you seen beta episode two from star wars theory animations top notch and he got the actual VA from Clone Wars from ace windu That's pretty cool. Well that reminds me of that time. You Christian you sit back. I'll take this over for the next 15 minutes Actually, no, I haven't seen it yet. I heard about it. Um, I am looking forward to seeing it and I will say like he stuck to his guns I mean, he does love the new AI Movies he watches them. Yeah, star wars theory, but he stuck to his guns here. There's no AI. I mean, this is all a production and he's just gonna be a third one So I am looking forward to seeing it. I like that first. People said it's really good. Yeah, so good on good on him
Yeah, I mean, I mean that first one he didn't even put a lot of time in effort into it. Love it I still remember that shot where they cut to Anakin and the chamber and he's I was looking up from that nightmare. Yeah, I remember when he debuted that one. I mean, shut I think I was still doing Jedi council at that time. Um, screw face Don't do clouds much, but whatever I can do to you for your project. I'm down. I appreciate that maybe at the very least You know, maybe you can you can also come in to a livestream And then I think be their Luke repeal D or somebody can send you a collaboration Link and then you you approve with your your subscribers. We'll see you too, but I mean Um, yeah, anything that you could do anything that anybody could do it wants to tell if you have a following a screw face between between you tell people about it um, I mean that would be To get screw faces endorsement on an alone would be really kind and really nice and nice Yeah, I hope people will I'll have to check his channel. Oh screw face is awesome. Yeah, I would like looking at new Yeah, he's great. Not new creators, but new to me. He's been around for a bit But he's got but he's he's got a massive following and he's he's been watching us for for a bit But he's just uh, he's always in here. He's a great. He's a really good dude
GX Paula Is it confirmed the seeing gorilla is grud? I think it has been yeah, I think Jim whatever the guy's name is who's playing him The grud is is what's confirmed that was him um Connor Mollis Mike's favorite band creed was the field of dreams last night. I drank a shit ton of bush light at the concert Did you I really hope that really is Connor by the way? I really hope that that's you because you ever from Connor what I mean Connor Is like lanterns and what I mean by that is Connor is like lanterns. Yeah, let me let me explain Connor When he posts Comments can post crazy shit like this and guessing what his sandwiches are and just go I remember those But in the same length he can give you a comment. You're like oh He's not in outer space right Ron H is flying around out there without a helmet And he loves it right in the same way we had we had a few of those guys and there's a new guy that's been he hasn't made a comment today Um, but that's what I meant like the balance of it like rons and runs and you know he doesn't try to find the balance
um Connor Connor has uh has found the balance and um, and then there's another guy yesterday the last couple days It's just been off his rocker, which I I mean, I love those people our mod 8 way to mur from jokers has a movie called don't move Yeah, I haven't had them on I had him on last time actually um not too long ago, but he's he was pretty great um Okay, listen So that's what we got as far as questions go right now Which is fine If you guys want to throw any more questions in there for kev he's got 10 more minutes Um, you can throw in some questions super chat wise, but now we're opening up the chat as we have been Here we go. Uh-oh the twizzler king found me got to go. Thank you Connor. So yeah um So if anybody Wants to throw in any questions now about the pilot anything else that we could come up. We're very very close Very close there say here New drinking get take a shot. Christian says goofy James god I just say him who visit the tone sometimes he sometimes he goes for goofy kind of style
Good for the drinking game with me would be When I start talking for longer than 10 maybe yeah, uh, let's see Ron H A24's onslaught in i max worth it Maybe high Okay, that's fair Also re recent pieceberry melrose uh former coach in the i gel And then he became an nhl announcer or not an announcer like color commentator guy he just uh he died on Wednesday yesterday I didn't think superman was goofy at like the overall tone of superman was goofy I think that there were sometimes like I said there were sometimes that you went for the joke when you didn't need it Oh with goofy he had a conversation with there was a fight going on in the background with a giant monster For no reason other than just to show that it was a goofy world. I said there were moments the overall tone the entire tone of it wasn't Um the heartfelt. I do like yeah, that's what i'm saying the heartfelt i'm saying but i don't agree with it wasn't goofy at all The definitely some goofy moments that's that's definitely not true um but but i don't think the overall tone is goofy um
All right, let's see So i want to see if anybody like i said we we can let keb go um he's got to do some work But thank you keb for yeah, being in here is always back to back. I will see you next Wednesday Yeah, you will uh i think it Wednesday will be the day for me Where can we find you by the way if you're checking some stuff out? I feel like i have that i don't know if you still have it anymore the way to find me thing you might have cleared it out but uh Just go right now on youtube at stomaversity uh At stomaversity is my stoma channel. It's funny how you get punished from the algorithm I hadn't done it shorten like a week and a half and now like my latest shorts I used to average a thousand now. It's like 38 views and stuff and uh just trying to Yeah, it keeps changing yeah, it keeps changing. I'm just trying to get you know spread the word out there on For cancer survivors and anyone who might be faced with having major surgery like a stoma or ostomy I'm out there trying to help people so that's all i've been doing right now and we're very close with my co-tour Episode three series having our next release
The animator told me they were down to like two more scenes left So that'll be fun to release on while i'm on this show because i can hype it up and stuff So there you go So your schmutz so thanks for the great shows this week Kevin. It's very good. Thanks for being great fans everybody by each here in Montreal city gearing up for big international bike race I'm gonna blast one of those loud ass horns when they bike by i hate bike shorts Okay, are you just kidding you do like bike shorts then? No, I think Yeah, I hate bike shorts just kidding. I think you're just kidding about the horn But fair enough All right, thank you everybody. So thanks again Kevin We'll see you next Wednesday. Yeah, chime in by the way I gave you two versions of that newest thing because that'll inform how I do later ones perfect all right So thanks to Kevin we'll bring in P.O.D. now. There's a little bubble So P.O.D. will here's what we'll do again If people want a super show we'll give them a super show if they don't they don't they have been lately So if people have questions about the show and what we have coming up with the show once again we have um The P.O.D. We're at two thousand two engine. Let's see. Let's let's restart it and see if it still be at two thirty four
I think that was a refresh two thirty seven look at that jumped Um, so we're trying to get to let's let's try to get to two thousand two hundred and fifty before we Try them out here today. How about that? Yeah, so let's go and we'll bring up this one saucy second. Where are you? Uh, here you go. Where'd you go? Well There you go. All right, so Mike starts to solve my spin of doing great questions lately when our show does great And you get the green light to do a whole series and your budget goes up Which of these comedians would you want to be in our show? I'd if I could only pick three Jim carry any murphy or Adam Sandler Well, I could use all you know any one of them to play themselves in the what it you know the show calls for right um I Think my choice at it and this is I any one of them would be honored any one of them But I think my choice would probably be any or Adam up top depending on the story angle what they could do
I feel like my character would have had run ins with Adam in the past and would have gotten along with him um Yeah, and any murphy would be somebody that just make my say murphy so I think I think Sandler fits that by in a way Easily yeah, so we're one member away from the discord put the discord link in their field. They let's get them the 400 Come on, let's get the 400 Let's do it um Okay, well look if we're not gonna do questions today. We don't have to do questions today We can do it. We can do them on tomorrow with Winston and I can I can go grab lunch if you guys don't want a super show today Totally cool. We can do it. We're gonna do a bunch of them. I mean great. I mean gear enough for super shows the All I mean, I think what I'm gonna do is when it comes to um You know the freaking Livestream on that 20 second. I gotta start mapping that out. Yeah I guess I'm mapping that out a lot of gaps a lot of headaches to do It's gonna be I mean you're gonna have to help me with that because I gotta do schedule because I have um
I mean, I have quite a few people that already you're gonna be doing it and we gotta figure out how we're gonna coordinate that and I gotta yeah, I gotta see what the deal is because I still don't know I mean usually I have to I guess I got a figure I got to figure out what John if he's doing a show or not. We've been doing um You've been doing appearances on his show On Mondays, but I don't know if I would assume that he's gonna be doing a show I don't know but maybe not we'll see I haven't talked to him about it um That's it. All right. Well cool. No, uh go and join that discord today make sure you do that if you haven't watched the Mandalorian video Please do that Probably have Mandalorian season three episodes three and four up tomorrow And I try to get you I needed it up tonight for the I'm gonna see back Say say that again. I'm gonna try to get the unedited version of the mando three and four up tonight. Okay. Okay Okay, um, oh, let's say I'll give you another one. Okay, you're supposed to just kickstarter allow us to include a message with our pledge So it'd be great to read those instead of super chats during the long stream Um, I wonder I don't know that. I don't know the answer. Let me let me you know what I'm gonna screenshot this
Um, and I'm gonna send this to Craig Hold on give me a second See um People chance to be also on it questions. Where's that oh there it is. I'm gonna see what Craig says So where's Craig here? It's And then you see what he says Because if Craig says that we can do that then we'll do that Okay, uh, yeah, that would be cool Yoshi. Yoshi. Excuse me. If whoever picks up the pilot decides to shorten the show Maybe just three seasons would be okay with that Well, I mean if they Yeah, that's there's the depends on what you mean there because if it's like okay, they agree they say okay do season one And then season one does well that they okay, we're gonna green light seasons two and three now And then seasons two and three ratings wise. Just don't do well. And I go we gotta we gotta cancel it Part of the game You know it's part of the game right now if we feel like the show is going well and we could continue to do it
Then we have to find a way to continue to do it. That's that option But if it's far as if somebody's just like oh rolling in we're going to commit to three seasons and that's it And you can't do anymore after that that usually wouldn't happen especially if it did well, so They also I'm gonna commit to six seasons either so I was like yeah um Dick smoker amazing as the entire cast has been announced it no that that doesn't that doesn't start That's part of that's part of the process. That's part of the benefits of when you guys join is that right now It's myself Martini and then we're gonna build around us because the thing is as we've been talking about We have to see what kind of budget we get to know what kind of offers we can make So we know we have people we think we'd be perfect for the role But we might not be able to get their rate You know if we don't have it. So the cast will start to come out like okay, so here's an example Let's say we have um We we overshoot and we oh we we get pad we got past our
Because we're gonna have the asking goal, which is just to make sure we can make anything But as I've been telling you if you do the math line Are we probably need 13 that 13,000 people put in 25 bucks? You can make it a comfortable version. Well, let's say we overshoot that like away past that And then we go to a place where angels like you know what we know we have that already on day one and day two We can make offers to so and so So once to tell them this is already what we've already raised Um, and we'll be able to to commit to that Then maybe during day six we can announce somebody I I don't know Uh, if somebody commits to it or We put together a massive campaign. We do everything then it's like okay You're already part of it the campaigns over we've raised More than we could ever possibly imagined And now you're in the daily Meetings and everything too and you like and you're getting the updates of we just went out to so and so and they said yes And they're gonna be in it. We've just announced it so those the updates that you continue to get once the campaign is over I think like theoretically if you dig it to announce somebody like six days in that could be actually a bump in too
I would love that listen I would love that if I mean I would love that we if we were able to We have someone in mind for a particular role That if they were like yeah, well Because what you guys are doing? I'm in I would love to announce how we don't have that yet, but I'd love that um Red carpet talk. What do you think makes an ideal producing partner? This is this is a cliche to answer is someone who really just gets The the vibe and understands the mission and understands the goals right and and is creative and Can that's why I mean Andrews the perfect producing partner because he's so brilliant and he's and he's really He's funny um he knows It I have a benefit that I know him so long that we know how to talk to one another and it's like I think that a lot of people When you and they shouldn't because it's just not how he is But because of his stature and what he's been able to do People would maybe get like intimidated thinking about ideas and bringing things up I don't have that with him because I've known him for so I know him way before he was
He'd gotten successful or anything too. We just have a very good relationship, but he can also tell me Listen, this is the way you need to look at this even the other day when we're talking about like the we're giving notes to like Yettters and stuff and he's like this is a certain way that we should be doing things in this way in that way And we should try to do it this way and it's like it just It's been through it, you know, so like someone who just Can communicate and be creative in a good way. I think is the best producing partner Um Okay, let's say This is another one here your schmitz of stream participation through pledges would be great Um for bringing them in maybe even disable super chats for the day to drive dollars for the need to go I mean, that's totally something that could be interesting to Yeah, he's got outside. Yeah, I wonder You know, if that's going to be the case for that livestream all day Or maybe you know what I you know what I could do But I might be able to do is maybe during the two hours that roca is on for that day keep the super chats on To make it fair to him
For that you know for the potential bonus so people want to help him out for that because because everybody else has it that week and he doesn't Well, it's true. It's not roca day. So roca so so mic and roxy So mic and roxy. Yes, so I don't I don't know. I don't know. We got we got it. We got to say um Okay Have you reached that not not yet. We haven't shot anything yet You got to shoot we got to shoot something everybody. Hopefully is is gonna be um, you know Brought up David can you get in a contract that if they drop the show you have the right to still make it or sell to someone else in the event that is just picked up I'm sure that will be talked about for sure, right? Yeah Um Okay Fiona George hakers a new X-Men has been cast check Hollywood reporter who we got cast a sa jerman is angel Is your was in gen v gen v um Who is in monster the jefi domer story A good cast. I think he's a good actor. So I like let's see
Uh, let's see a said german x-Men Um, oh I see. Okay. Cool. You're a good actor. I think you can grill. I don't know. I don't know. Well enough But um there you go. Okay. Cool I'm still I'm still looking still looking Is there anything else? I'm going down the line. Sorry. I see it. I see it. Bill. Okay As the flirt and floss wouldn't go a misivey period in the new project um I think what where's the flirt and floss could show up. I'm not even kidding Like is down the line is like Well, look if we're able to get Saturday night live as a as the actual show That she was on will be great You know, because that's what the character was But you probably could make it some sketch show that you made up um But he could be a a a current cast member And so flirt and floss could be one of the big things. That's easy. I'm not it. That's easy. Uh, okay Last action heroes. We don't have a big following yet. We started doing our podcast in July
But if you're offering a poster I'd be happy to buy one and put it in the background when we do our videos Is that okay? Of course, that's okay. That's amazing and super and super um generous and yet we're gonna be offering posters for sure Um now the question is that can we can we might be able to do is it's send those Send those over but I love that you started this Okay That's not this one you lost me in being fairly I mean you're unbelievable Uh, just so I read it I get anyway Um, but yes, I was very kind of where we will have a poster for sure now would be great to do that Mike George, what if someone wanted to pick up the show but recast some people some of that's just yesterday including you and martini make you too Exactly producer, which would be okay with that You mean you're saying after we shot it like so we shot the pilot We're happy with the pilot We like what we did with it. We're super happy and thrilled of what we did And somebody wants to recast us and no, I wouldn't want to do that. No, I wouldn't be okay with it now if we shot it And we were like it didn't really work and they still wanted to buy it and they wanted to make it happen like you know what
This This you know premise of this is really good, but you guys you know chemistry's not there only that's gonna happen And you see you'll see it in the freaking video. Well, but no, I wouldn't be okay with that. No, not at all A. K. Dirty. Hey, sorry. I was listening on the live but by devil's advocate I mean you're more open to look at the other side of the situations field you was saying and learning more positive with With reason rate was I not saying that was I not doing that recently? Uh, I don't think so you've always kind of done that but I think you're just more More positive and energetic about it. I think yeah, yeah, I mean look I'm not disagreeing with it I just I mean they see it on the other side as I'm sitting here every day, you know, I mean I just your energy is a bit better Because you get when you were excited about something you just have energy to that's palpable and that's this comes across and everything else you do Yeah, thank you, Pildi. I mean that's that is part of like, you know because I'm I just Want this show the story to be told and I want people to feel like that's the whole thing is that Even that dick bag on wheels that just wrote pass You know, they just just to be a dick right? It's like I almost want to tell it guy like
If you're watching any of my videos If you don't watch the videos and you just wrote past to to right past, you know, then then fuck off and have a great day But like if you're if you watch the videos, you know, I'm not interested. I don't care. I would say You got to look big picture for what we're trying to do overall Because if you support the channel and you Support like what we're doing in general I would assume and I don't want to speak for you But I would assume that you'd want the channel to reach places that you're like, okay In their princesses beginning I helped make this happen. I went from when they were he was at To 8,000 subscribers 2000 subscribers to now the fucking guy got a show on the air A television show that I helped and I got a part of it and I was there and I saw all this stuff and everybody is like Kind of locking arms and walking through the door saying we get to tell you you don't tell us and even the people who are on the other Pass side of it don't you you're gonna want to be part of it. I feel like you'd want to be I don't throw out there like I'm just gonna happen to everybody but like look at me for example
I was a fan back in the day. Yeah, and like I got to be part of it through things as we're we've Christians very open to collaborating people and everything else Not that everything that they work for but like if you're in the ground level and you got to build relationships Totally that's how it works 100% you get to see like I mean just the fact that how many people can say that they watched a pilot Form from the beginning watch it get cast watch all these things had access to the you know The producer the director and it just doesn't happen often especially if you're involved in your interest in this business right Let's say It's not necessarily so about the answer anyway right now Um probably I mean John Williams without the answer there 100% It was a clever way to do it. He threw in the it for our show. Oh, oh, I see Um and add all of them. I mean I couldn't interview any of them if the first it's the the answer is the first person Who said I'll do it And and then I just have to tell the others sorry I would have said yes to you too, but but but Alan's investor came to me first
You don't see you don't see no to any of them. You don't interview any of them Uh dick smoker is stand-up comedy a part of the show if you can say well, I mean so Yes and no Right as far as the pilot the series yes as far as the pilot goes I mean he's a former stand-up comedian and he was poised to be pretty damn big during the early 2000s and um And he just he fucked himself up and he didn't and he you know, he'd kind of ruined his career and marriage and other things too and when we meet him He's been doing pot even his podcast was popular like in probably the mid 2000s And then even that has been fading So he's um He's in the shits and so he's been retired for stand-up for quite a long time Going into it, but um, but he still has a lot of connections to that world and is and you know Can say if the series continues on
Eventually he would probably get back on stage. I would assume yeah Um Have you got something to create a theme song would you choose Sona? No, I mean like I we haven't we haven't talked about that yet We want we I can't wait until we have the conversation. We just we're the first the major goal right now is What kind of budget do we have to make the best possible show? You know, it's crazy. I was doing this today I was doing that I was wrong I thought and you want you to research on this too So I I've been saying that the Bears pilot costs 1.1. I don't know where I got that number I got a number this morning. I said two. I had the number number that said three I got a number that said hacks was a little over a million But it says the industry standard is between one to three for our comedy half an hour comedy pilot And I'm like that's not what we're looking for but but you know if we add that we're gonna make something pretty special But we're looking we're we're looking at that range to make the the budget that boardwalk came up with in locations that we had to put together pretty something solid Now I know that it's always sunny and Philadelphia their pilot costs two and two bucks
Right right right when they bid that's a very different story though What I'm saying I said the bear it's not out there officially But it's likely in the two to four million dollar range I saw I don't know where I came with a 1.1 I don't know Yeah, let's say Okay, let's see so like a rookie was dogging on something recently been saying well look at it this way before you seem you'd pile Well, I don't think I ever piled on with them. Did I? But either way doesn't matter. Thank I appreciate what you're saying and it's very kind Thank you. I don't want to argue with you on the sand saying it like it that's very kind of you that you have that perspective Um your schmitz you trending is not a premise that I would normally ever watch Just not my kind of thing but having enjoyed so many of prodigal the years. I'm 100% on board Well, that's fair because and that and but that's also one of those things too right like I I don't know and I'm curious your schmitz you like what Commities and what types of things do you like right and what is the I mean the premise in general you have to figure out you've got like my goal as the creator writer I've got to make sure that I create characters for you
And I believe that I have that makes you say I'm going to tune into this because I enjoy so and so and this and this and that because I think that that's that's the thing It's not just for men not just for women. It's like it really is about It's forever, you know, and I think that and especially for generations for other things people who can relate to it. So Um Yeah, it's a kind of for-quadrant kind of show. I think yeah absolutely So stop Christian would you change the SNL reference to mad tv if you can get clearance to use it or do you feel mad tv Would be a low quality substitute for snl um I mean mad tv was awesome the problem is he didn't last that long And like this the the idea of what the the show is still going on Because like she had an similar to the same thing I was talking with in stand-up like she had The potential to be as big as you know christian wig and uh Amy polar and and and all of them But she just dove off of it too quick and I think at the same time there are people or there were some of her peers during the show that did do that
Um and and did have those moments and things of that nature. So um I think it's got to be snl or like yeah, snl or something where you know that oh they just couldn't get the right for snl Right snl. Yeah Bill also says you have have you got someone to create a steam oh no that that one Um Ryan has it going to get on podcast to promote the kickstarter another stream with Greg would be good Just to boost that five thousand followers go before nine twenty two Yeah, uh, I'm gonna do something with Greg. I got he's probably gonna come on here. We're gonna collaborate for sure And then I'm going to um And then I'm gonna start reaching out to people like uh, it's on my list to do today actually. So yeah Uh, let's see This is actually pretty funny Dark smirk really characters have arrived with daincook and recreate you've been so beautiful last time mr Cuck and slap and we find um, you know, it's actually he's promoting something Recently and I was going to uh we interviewed him on cloud alive. It's actually really good conversation and I
think um Yeah, I think that for me uh, I was supposed he's promoting some new documentary or something too And I was gonna try to get him on and interview in New York But the problem was that he wasn't he didn't have the kind of time that I I'm not interviewing anybody for eight minutes I don't that can't do that anymore. It's just on my style Um, so his publicism is like let's try to get it. We'll try to get a longer form interview. So it's still still talking um Okay, let's see Josh. I feel like tires pilot cost would be more comparable to yours But I think it's much more than you are asking well, I think that tires he did the whole entire season And That's the whole thing. I think I think he did the whole season and he did it with his podcast money and other things Oh, too, or what he did he took a shot on it and he shot the whole season I would love to be able to shoot the whole season But in the way that what we're doing and with boardwalk attached to it That's gonna be like to shoot a whole season is gonna be like guild money You know tires was the was a whole season and it's basically 200,000 three to 50,000 per episode
Right, so that's around so that's it's around the same. Yeah of what of what we're looking for so But you know, but I'm sure that if she and gillis had 500 to 600,000 in an episode He would have been you would have been pretty happy with it. He just didn't have that for himself You know um Would you consider promoting your pilot on spooky astronaut channel? I don't know spooky astronauts. I'm glad Layton coolick why her channel is mostly horror she wouldn't mind promoting a non horror project She backs stuckman and had a small role in Shelby. Oh, that's interesting. I don't I don't I don't know I have to look into that let me do a screenshot But I'm gonna be you know I'm gonna look into this stuff for short and eat too. I got it. I mean I do need a lot of different. You know what actually this is probably a good idea This is a good idea and it's probably for Sam For the discord princess and everybody too Can you guys start giving me suggestions in the pilot channel on the discord of shows and things that I should reach out to Because that's that's something that could be helpful
Yeah, uh, please Okay, let's say Dicksmok when conceiving and writing a show did you have a specific rating in mind or are you keeping it open? Well, we definitely martini and I are pretty raunchy when it comes to humor and everything too. So I I think it's gonna be We're gonna explore it. It's gonna be real, you know, so it's it's definitely gonna be Tbma for sure. Yeah Okay, sorry to keep bringing up angel jiratana But if you had a role for her and locker in early in the kickstart of the smash channel she involved has 27 million subs many would support her and our show Yeah, it's like but the here's but this is my I guess this is my question bling right Is that I don't have anything to offer her right now You know what I mean like that's the thing is I don't have anything. I mean that not roll wise Like outside I look into her and see if she could potentially play a role It's that's possible. I go look into it. I screenshot it as well But what do I what do I offer her right now? I don't have a budget
All right, that's that's the problem. I don't have it. I don't have anything to say like oh, you know Hey, if we do raise this you can get this And it's like that just doesn't work that way unfortunately so I'm in a situation really based exactly what it is Exactly what it is, but I but I have her name down um Anyway Uh That's it So Bill get rmb involved because you're already done things though that free enterprise for us is insight would be a valuable I definitely call up rmb and ask him for sure um Yeah, absolutely Okay, there's some pictures of the pitch for training definitely makes me think of space to which is a very good thing Which which one's spaced? Uh, that's the uh Sci-peg Nick Frost one Okay, um you K1 I didn't know you watched it but it's been a long time to go hammering Much about to be on these again. I couldn't tell you about it. Um, well, that's good That's good if you if that if that makes you feel that way. I mean, that's especially when you didn't think it was your thing So that's if that's a good thing that I love that um All right
That's cool. You appear to be I'm doing this stuff with um Sam and just a little bit just come by around like I think like Three or something like that. Huh, so we're gonna try to knock out as many As possible all the mandos Yeah, I want I'd like I'm ideally I'd like to finish up the season with her today and then You know, because we gotta get we gotta get to that freaking Justice league. It's gonna take four hours. I want to launch it by the time this kickstarter hits so now You don't have actually like the screeners for lanterns anymore. So you can't do that early, right? This say what you can't do lanterns early anymore. You don't have um I might be able to but I don't know if I'd be able to do this week anyway because I think I only have Sam for today and we don't have I know So I'm not right. That's right. Oh, that's a good idea too. I should reach out to Sam I like Sam Good guy. I'll reach out to Sam. Who takes that yeah, so That's why please please please please join the discord and start doing suggestions. I'm gonna check there in a little bit Um, that would be great. Yeah, I don't I don't know. I don't know if Alice knows him
It's got no one. He's got a no. I don't know. Let me see I'll text him right now. There you go. Text mark Ellis Yo period question for you period. Hey, do you know Dan Soder question mark? I would love to try to promote the Kickstarter And I don't know if that's something that's even possible, but maybe He's in New York can reach out period. What do you think? I I also will probably make a phone call to to CVV he I mean he obviously knows him So maybe Everyone likes Dan Soder Yeah, for sure. I can talk to him about I can talk to him about Writing for the WWE. Maybe that's something to be interested in. I don't know Uh, let's see. Yeah, that's a good one too. See put these put these in there I'm gonna I'm gonna reach out to everybody. I'm gonna reach out to everybody and see what I can do
So But the other thing is that I'm waiting I'm waiting to reach out because well, I can't see why I'm reading reach out. I have a reason why I'm waiting to reach out I have a reason and I feel a little bit more valuable if I wait and then ask When I have this other bit of information So Yeah, that's good too Yeah, reach out to Griffin too. You know, I'm Griffin pretty well Talk about what if we split on man he would have done if we kept going with him He was great. He would have been a champ. I mean, he played for the title once He crushed it in that tournament. He wanted that he was great But his marital was just not a run that year and he just couldn't He could have been a fun character too, Bill. I think it's a 20% 100% yeah Already so already working on something with him who go on his livestream for sure Um, well there you go Thank you guys appreciate it very much. Thanks for being here as always shorter show today But I'll be I'll be doing more super shows. I promise and oh, let's see Ryan S
Well, what do you think is the biggest barrier to hit 5000 followers given the channel has What is well, I think the biggest bearer to hitting 5000 Given that I have you know, yeah, if I well, I think you know, look I think people right now Don't necessarily know and I think people still think by hitting the notified button that they do You're charged by something and they're not and other people would see it and they go I got to sign up it takes two seconds to sign up So I think it's a matter of people not knowing and I think that I've heard people saying you know what I'm just gonna donate when I'll know I'll know when it goes live I don't have to be notified for it And I just think that what people should realize inside of that is that you know, it just helps us push us up even further if you do join But the other side of it is um The other videos there's three different kind of algorithms right you get the live Algorithm you got the shorts algorithm you have the regular video algorithm and the regular video algorithm I've been pushing more and more and getting people hopefully so Um, so we'll see some people just don't like notifications for you. Yeah, it's true
I oh share you planning doing weekend streams of the Kickstarter is going most likely yes Yeah, uh, that's good to know So there's an torias two weeks off after the 19th and back and back out for it It's true. I know maybe I've got to reach out and see uh Uh Yeah, I mean that's that's also that happens under livestream too if you know You know, sometimes you get a thousand people some 800 people It's alright not a big deal Um is lack of internship factor when why people haven't clicked notified yet since it's not 22nd Uh, maybe maybe so and like again, remember this though too When talking to people from Kickstarter we are ahead of the curve most people when they're going for the number that we're going for and going for the things that we're going for Have way less than what we have currently Um, we're ahead of the curve with 22 2300 or whatever we are 20 close to it um So we're definitely ahead of the curve. I just wanted to get I just from me I wanted to get to the 5,000 because half of what the guild did to me is
Huge considering we don't have that kind of following you know, so so that's it 2238 right now Yeah Um, what's that? 2238 Okay, all right. All right, so get in closer So yeah, so that's that's the whole point is that just like we're already over 2k right when you got there quick So we're gonna keep just pushing it and you guys got to keep sharing it You know, and I'm gonna have more pictures and stuff too and more things and I think you know So if everybody I mean, I hope that if everybody in here I hope that if everybody in here is in um You know watching this You've hit the button to notify already. I can't imagine that there's anybody who's watching this portion of the show where I'm talking about that has And been notified that wouldn't make any sense Uh Mike rios will the show explain the reason for the characters divorcing uh, yes It will also wouldn't it be funny if it involved a duck jumping game Well, that definitely doesn't happen, but uh, but yes, so discord just hit 400 that's amazing Yeah, uh same thing. So yeah, we're doing go in and comes that's what I'm saying
So right now we're doing we're in we're in good shape You know and and and I think that from what I I'm looking at with these rewards. It's just there's not gonna be a shortage of cool shit to do I think even for somebody who was like well, I didn't know if I wanted to go that high, but that's not That's not available for people You know what I mean? Yeah, so um that's it Okay, well then I will sign off I thank you guys so much for being here. I will be back tomorrow with Winston A Marshall Uh, we will have another Mandalorian episode tomorrow I am waiting for Mandalorian and Grogo to shoot ideally what I would love to do Is to shoot that get that and put up Mandalorian today and tomorrow, which I will do Then next Tuesday and Friday be done with season three And I would love to run Mandalorian and Grogo either on the weekend or potentially on Monday And then jump into justice leaks starting on Tuesday when the Kickstarter starts
Um That's it so Um, okay Thank you guys very much. I appreciate you. Oh, I missed. What was it? Which one? I make a lot of your questions which one they miss I go If Johnny Carson so to promote our show to him we I don't know. I mean who who knows? You know, of course, I didn't want to promote it to Johnny Carson for sure Yeah, um That's it So all right, let's get let's say goodbye. Thank you guys appreciate. I'm going to eat some foods And I will talk to you guys tomorrow. So again, thanks to Kevin. Thanks to PLD Thanks to Sam and MK for doing the time codes. Thanks to Luke for doing all the work he does and to Jonathan and others So thank you so very much. Um, if you haven't if you're going to be in New York October 8th He'll be there so that should be a a ticket all in itself Uh, make sure you can check us out. It's going to be exciting pump for it And we'll see you guys really soon. So appreciate you and we'll see you on the flip side
