We spend our surviving middle school run getting into what's happening inside your kids' brain, the group chat, and their friendships, and what you can do about it. We are brought to you by Polymarket. That's right, new sponsor for the show and the Volume Podcast Network, which we are a part of. This is the betting show that makes the squares sharper and makes the wise guys pay attention. I am Chad Millman. I am joined as always by my co-host, my BFF, my companion, my compadre, professional, better Simon, Hunter, Hello, Simon. Chad, how are we doing? Brother, we got a lot going on. We've been getting a lot of questions from fans of the show, whether it's in YouTube or on social media platforms,
in the Discord that people want to know about the contest. The contest is coming back. It's not easy to get these things off the ground. There's a lot of hoops that Matt Mitchell specifically has to jump through before we can officially allow people to sign up. The official launch of the 2026 NFL Pickham contest will probably happen tomorrow. Today is Thursday, probably tomorrow. The moment we are good to go, the second Matt Mitchell gets the green light. We will record and release a bonus mini episode with all the details. Simon and I are standing by, at least I am Simon. We might have more to do than I do. We are standing by. As soon as we have the details, we'll put them in a show, we'll put out the show, people will be able to sign up. It's a great contest. We're glad to do it from beginning of the year, Simon, because last year it was so hard.
We didn't get anything going until the middle of the year. But now we can be all choosing from the same lines, making the same decisions, getting our five favorite picks in, with everybody else who's listening and playing along. Yeah, tons of questions about the contest. Obviously from our fans and me and Chad are in the same boat right now. We're just in a wait and see type of pattern here. When we get more info, Chad said we'll give it all to you guys. We hope it all works out because it's so much fun. Obviously, putting it to fans and interacting with the fans about it. So, yeah, now that I'm back from the books, Chad, I've run into a lot of fans. I said every year, we're a fan of the show. I'm happy to see you guys talking to you guys. If I have a large book bag on me and I seem like I'm going to rush, you've caught me in in between moment. But if you just see me free walk and note nothing on my shoulder and I'm hanging out, I can hang out for half an hour through an hour. I don't mind at all. But yeah, if you ever see me with a book bag, I always talk about, I seem like I'm going to rush. There might be a decent amount of money in said book bags.
So that's the only time I might say, I can say what's up, but I got to be somewhere. And that's, I'm just always a little paranoid. I'm always a little paranoid. So definitely telegraph to people you're carrying a book back full of cash when you're walking through the book so people can stop you and say, hello. It's our final episode of the NFL off season. Dude, after this, we are into week one, Simon and I today. We're going to summarize all of our favorite futures from the upcoming NFL season. All the stuff we've been talking about for the past month and all of the past month. And all of the preview shows plus little sprinkles of nuggets that we've mentioned and maybe haven't gone in depth on everything from division winners. NFL award winners, Super Bowl exact does which you know, to me, those are my favorite bets is to do sort of do exact Super Bowl matchups. Simon, we got a couple extra categories here.
We do have the discord group or categories that we're going to put in there. Everyone knows I got a book, the number coming out in January. If you preorder go to read the number dot com. You are invited to the discord and we are voting on all these bets. And we're going to make bets every single week during the season. We're given away money to St. Jude's all the money we win is going to St. Jude's plus a $5,000. And we're going to lower the more books we sell in the preorder, the more money we can potentially give to St. Jude's. So we'll talk about some of the discord groupers that we're adding to our futures today. I think you're going to like them Simon. I think you're going to like them a lot because we are one of them you already mentioned when we were chatting with Matt Mitchell in the pre show first topic. Are you ready? Yes, we got to put a bow on our off season. Like I said, I've seen a lot of fans chat and fans of the show.
The number one complaint I got was I didn't give you the time of the light to say why you're not you don't think you don't hurt set up like quarterback you said you don't think he's a top 10 quarterback fans have asked me I didn't give you proper amount of time. Give your reasoning and I thought I did I said to him I think I had to do something like you don't trust them to come from behind in games. As a thrower you're not the biggest fan so it's like whatever you're I remember your top 10 list had to do with comebacks and guys you trust in two minutes all that so I told them that next year I love rich. But people care so much about it we might have to just blow it up and it's like we're doing our top 10 best quarterbacks in football no fantasy no two-minute drill. Just who are 10 best and I agree to them because we all have our own little work around for our own list so I did say to the fans I'm happy to give chat is his time the sun if you want to say why he does not think you on her set top 10 quarterback. Here's my logic on this I feel like we talked about it but I like that I'm being that that people are defending me and getting in your grill about it so my feeling on this is it's a
right like maybe we're going from different criteria to me it's about a projection I'm looking at the quarterbacks who in these upcoming season. I want to have bet on the most in the final two minutes of the game when I've a bet on the line and the quarterbacks I'm most afraid of. To have bet against in the final two minutes of a game. To me that's not Jalen hurts like the Eagles when they're winning they are a dominant team there the outcome of their game. Is is not necessarily in question in fact you could argue that in the final two minutes you don't want to have a bet on Jalen hurts because they have such big leads. That there's a lot of backdoor covers that are in play the Eagles notoriously when they've been at their best. Run the ball lot in the second half they like to bleed the clock they like to take the ball out of their offense his hands and let their defense do the thing in the final two minutes of their up by two touchdowns and their big favorites.
That leads to backdoor covers so it's not a knock on Jalen hurts it's really about the style of play of the Eagles versus what I think other quarterbacks need to do. In the final two minutes or the quarterbacks on the fridge with bet against the final two minutes. That's my logic on Jalen hurts it's not against his ability to win you judge it based on a quarterbacks ability to win I'm thinking about it only from I'm on the couch on Sunday afternoon. What's going to give me the most I get. Yeah I would say it's split two where I'm at it's it is some Eagles fans asking about this but it was a lot of giants and cobweiss fans which I always say if you're a giant or cobweiss fan I get why you mock or don't like Jalen hurts you don't think he's a top 10 guy I would be annoyed too if I guy like Jalen hurts was in my division. But shout out to our fans because they they they sent me a lot of stats chat and I don't want to be too hard on chat here my view of chat is though you're my closest I get to the general public right.
And I always say that you're a New York Times best seller are you breaking down film on quarterbacks are you looking through stats every night. No and so I was saying people is Chad's perfect where I want people to think I'm crazy in Chad's the same one is just like last year you know I'm not going to kill you for it but you don't have staff for your top 10 item at five people hating me for it they're like you overrate this guy staffer then he wins MVP and you don't hear anything that's what I want people to do is. I want to say things and make you just think differently that's my goal Jalen hurts I don't crush Chad because he isn't believe in Jalen hurts I just don't think he understands what he's watching and that's what. And that's what some of these stats guy. I just said I know I know I know I'm going to say I'm going to do some stats because what you said just isn't true in any way so I'm going to your most most wins trailing by 10 plus points since 2023. And so this is out of 51 games Josh Allen has 13 comebacks he's number one that's pretty damn good number two Jalen hurts with 13 come back wins that's a shocking stat to me.
You drop way down number with five wins is Lamar Jackson so it's like he's right there him and Josh Allen with that what I just told you so it's like I'm not trying to kill you again Chad these are just stats. You're not you're not killing me you just perfectly framed our show my perspective on this what I have been trying to illuminate for people in the entire time I have been covering sports betting. Which is now 25 years the whole premise for why I thought we should cover sports betting at ESPN I wrote a Jerry McGuire memo about it in 2008 the whole premise for what happened with why left ESPN and was part of the team that launched action and our editorial philosophy and our business philosophy for action was there are smarter ways to do this me personally. I'm a conduit I'm translating what I know based on my connections to people like you the connections I have to bookmakers the connections I have to other professional better's that's what I'm good at is translating what's happening in one world for a broader world that's how I've been successful in my career.
I'm not trying to come out here and say I'm the betting expert I'm coming out her saying here's what the experts are saying let me explain it to you that's that about Jalen hurts is fantastic and I love it and maybe it's going to make me reframe everything I've been thinking about Jalen hurts. I'm not getting enough I'm this is nothing to do this is about media I want people like a guy like Chris Sims who I could shit on for hours. Why are we going to break down film is good at Chris Sims no he played NFL he's a quarterback I think Chris Sims legit idiot and there was nothing about predicting future in quarterback play yes he's everything I hate in media so that's why I like this isn't so much me going after you just going after people in media that they say things that's not backed up by anything and this is my last one I'll give it. Jalen hurts everyone says he's a merchant because of his defense so teams win percentages by a quarterback when their defense allows 28 points or more number one job challenge seven and six in his career number two it's Jalen hurts he's seven and seven drop down the next guy in the list is three and four that's my homes no one else is no one else is above 500 it's just it's just Alan and her so that's why like everyone thinks
Josh Allen's an everyone quarterback and they kill me because I always have her to above them there's statistics when you break it down they're just not that much difference is just one is super human he's six five he never gets hurt and he has what it was at 300 touchdowns total in first eight year of his career it's like Josh Allen is just so super human that's why we put him on such high stage where I'm telling you people jail hurts in him aren't that different when you really break down all these numbers that. And show why he's such a great quarterback so yeah I just I never had fans come with me so much and ask about the top 10 and mean chat dude it's not a throwaway show but it's just something we do in the summer so I just said to people the fact that you guys all care so much I mean try to try to take it more serious in the future and just make a simple top 10 best quarterback list none of this yeah you know predicting for the future and me really harping on what they did in the past it's just who do we think are the 10 best quarterbacks next year for 23. So yeah I appreciate all the fan input and I like I said usually people come through and talk you know opening lines and week one bets and they have but a lot of it has been about our list and where we're at with these quarterbacks so it's it's been a fun off season but I just thought this would be the perfect ending to our top 10 list it's it's over people we're on to the regular season.
I love your cap or I love you bring up Jalen hurts and also you just mentioned the March Jackson because we're going to go through a lot of different care categories about futures and we haven't spent much time real we talked about Jalen hurts and the Eagles quite a bit we have not spent a ton of time talking about the Baltimore Ravens and over the past say. 48 to 72 to 96 hours I've started to feel like. I'm under invested in Ravens futures and part of that is because you look at the March Jackson I think he's you know eight to one to win MVP you look at the Ravens and there 11 to one to in the Super Bowl so the value is an exactly huge on those teams on those numbers but. I do feel like we're going to have to get into this and we get to the Super Bowl futures and exact as i'm going to be curious to get your take on some of the things i've added that we haven't talked about but first. Here's a summary.
Want to make sure we're still on the same pages division odds mostly some conference futures from what we did in our eight part episode series. Simon number one let's just make sure we're still on the same page. Minnesota Vikings five to one that when the NFC North another one of those teams like. I think we could argue that they have a big hole a quarter back or you could argue that they have the fewest holes because. Kyloemery is somewhat of a known entity whereas every other team in this division. Lines offensive line bears defense Packers run game Packers defense like. Big big fundamental issues there so I still like the Vikings five to one. Yeah so about that number we've we've talked our fear is always going to be Kyloem we trust. Bloor is because we trust KOC that they'll find a way but yeah the Kyloem stuff you know ever since he's gotten the starting job. Anyone I talked to in in Minnesota they say well.
He's usually one of the last ones in and he's one of the first ones out so. Kyloem he is what he is he ain't going to be the hardest working guy he's not going to stay late he's not going to do extra work it's just. That's who he is but this bet is this guy got Arizona to 11 wins at one point got them to a playoffs and. We know the talents there it's always been about his commitment to the sports so. Five to one at those odds and like Chats said it's come down now it's a lot of books have moved to four to one. On this team so hopefully you can still get five to one and shop around but. It's one of my favorite bets just because of the upside there is with Kyloem in this team and in division where. I you know the bears could they pull from medical shirt green Bay yes but. I think most professionals like the lines just because they're scheduled that's where most guys have put their money so. To me if I can be could could carry and pick the last place team rather than the overall favorite what you're going to do that. So it's just I rather bet them at five the one then bet you know I think they're plus one 50 or plus one 40 the line so. I just I just much like take. Yeah well look it could be interesting.
To parlay them right like this is that they're a good parlay option. The Broncos we've talked a lot about the Broncos. They have the third longest odds in the AFC West. Make zero sense to me. They return 20 of 22 starters. Their defense is very good. Bonyx as you pointed out in our last show with Derek Brown for fantasy pros. It's not like he lost a leg. He had a fractured ankle that if it was the regular season he probably would have been back within four to six weeks right it just happened to happen or not high profile moment. At the end of the year and it probably caused them a chance to go to the Super Bowl. I'm still loving the Broncos at three to one. You know and the interior line for the charges are already hurt. They already lost their center. They might have to be the worst graded guards in all football. There's still some questions about the health of their tackles at this point if they can be at a last for a full season so.
The charges were the odds on favorite. The chiefs have replaced them at this point because of what professionals better respect right it's. We're always looking long term and who's been consistent. There's nothing more consistent. The Andy are reading my homes in this league so I get what professionals shifted their money there but mean Chad. I think we're in the same spot with his Denver team. I mean I'm happy to walk right into this trap. There must be something we're missing because I never understood their win total. There must their divisional odds and every understood their Super Bowl odds so. They're a team I'm heavily invested in if Denver comes through just like the Eagles two years ago turning whatever was five thousand to three hundred K. I'm in the same boat. I basically have a couple of thousand of best in Denver and their Super Bowl matchups and their returns will be in the high six figures so. I'm excited to get when we go through our favorite long shot Super Lads but yeah divisional odds no doubt or bet this F three to one you have to respect this team. Well look I think the biggest issue is the regression right that had so many games in which they were winning in some miraculous fashion or winning by a single score.
And two years ago we had that with the Chiefs and then last year the Chiefs it completely reverses so I think if anybody's betting against them it's not necessarily against the talent the coaching or anything. It's just betting on the fact that they had so many one score games so I think that's why we're seeing these odds and and every year there's a rational exuberance for the Chargers it makes no freaking sense. So I'm happy to be on the side of fading the Chargers by betting into the Broncos. Another one we talked about Texans plus 120 I think we like it mainly because it's a positive number for a team that has. If you look if you look at divisions and you want to think about who has the most dominant unit on any side of the ball of any team in all the divisions. The Texans defense is far and away the best unit of any unit. In the AFC South and you're getting a plus number and that's really just indicative of nobody has any faith in CJ scrap.
Yeah and just really this division plays really tough out of schedule divisionally so like Tennessee. You know we're not we're not betting them CGA award looks like you's regress so that that was going to be a fun sleep prop. Cam ward. Yeah cam ward I don't I don't see it. Yeah I cannot invest in cam ward and the Tennessee team and the Jaguars we've talked about they've had a they've had a brutal start to the season. So that's another team where if you want to invest in season go for it but to me Houston they have a chance to come out they beat Buffalo. But a couple put together a couple tough early wins. They could be minus 150 minus 200 potential and a Valkyrie so it's a number where I'm not the most overly confident guy because of CJ straddle but because what Chats had that defense that coach what he's built there it's. It's hard not to take them at a plus number in this division where you expect them to bounce back and a season where last year they didn't right they started out so slow. I just can't see that happened again so yeah there are there odds of shift a little bit not my favorite better right I rather do the Vikings or Denver bet because they're a longer odds but like we've talked about throwing teams of parlays.
Texas are a fun team to throw in there at the back end if you're doing a two or three team divisional parla. Who would you pair them with? It all depends like I have obviously what we talked of the Vikings I've done Denver. I've done Philly in a couple parlays with these type of teams and we have a team this list I'm actually out on now and I've replaced them with the sea hawks. So I've really shifted that up to the sea hawks at this point as a team where I thought I was low coming on them into the season I was high on them but it's only grown. As we've gone along here and I really go up into this team it's like am I am I overthinkin this it's like I get they lost kubiak but I think I was downgrading too much on Seattle where they really have not lost much. I know kind of Walker is a big deal but Chad knows I'm high on this kid price. Yeah before we get to the sea hawks because along with the Ravens that's the other team I feel like we have under invested in but I agree with you on cam war.
It feels like it's been a pretty bad preseason and his best receiver is Wandao Robinson and so are we missing a chance to bet on the Titans for the worst record in the NFL. I don't hate it. I definitely get to that later on I don't hate that but funny enough I do I do a league chat we draft. Me and my buddies my hometown buddies we draft. Basically the worst teams so you want to go you want the most lost end of the year so there's eight of us and I had the first pick. And I was between Miami and Arizona I ended up going Miami just because I know everyone thinks Arizona will be the worst that's why I didn't go with him I will I try to play a little mind games it's like okay everyone's pick in Arizona. I'm the same but it's like I feel like it's going to be Miami or Tennessee not the jets or Arizona like a lot of people think so yeah. I had the first pick overall debated about it in my own head for way too long and if going Miami has been the worst team of football so it's ugly at the bottom that bottom this league this year man I don't know.
It feels like a lot of these teams are going to tank once we get mid season they see all those quarterbacks. Potentially be able to get it number one. I want to talk about the we had the Niners on the list. I'm with you I feel like we've we've We haven't talked enough about Seattle because they won the Super Bowl last year and just the the chances of going back are just so hard right but I also feel like Seattle is the least talked about Super Bowl champion and we're not giving them their due I don't know what the number is right now because I forgot to look it up maybe met Mitchell can tell us but tell me why. You're thinking about Seattle because I'm starting to love this team and I'm adding them to some of my Super Bowl exact as in Super Bowl matchups. It's just how they're built I'm trying I'm trying to think who can win this division if Stafford does get hurt or if the Rams do fault their little bit and as much as I wanted to be the 49ers and take the rods they already have a much of injuries across the board and I know we like to think that's not the same.
It's not the biggest deal but it isn't you talk about 49ers where it's a team that's been battered by injuries for years now and it's like a team that always gets caught up where when they do stay fully healthy. Yeah, they make Super Bowl runs but we've seen now that those teams they did that with they weren't in a division like this and it's really shifted now where it's like I have to put more on us on having a great defense and we've seen it like this defense they get better Seattle like last year. You know what I believe you that they lost to the 49ers and week one and because they 49ers didn't score a single but touchdown on them the final two times they played on right in the last week of the season and then again the playoff so it's like that's what I mean Seattle is just going to keep getting so much better. I don't have that same feeling with this 49ers team where they're just they're just not what they used to be they haven't drafted as well right we put a lot of that on John Lynch so I was giving out Niners a three to one for this division. I really shift in my bets to the Seattle Seattle two to one that's that to me is where the value is at this point.
So okay see how's plus 200 it's so interesting. I was talking to a buddy yesterday I was actually talking to my current who is the guy who had the idea for the action network who recruited me from ESPN. Currents is a Bay Area native loves the Niners and I was talking to him yesterday he listens to the show and we were talking about futures and I said you know it's one of the first years where I kind of haven't over invested in the Niners the way I normally do because I normally am so in level Shanahan and what he can do with their offense and backups and all those kinds of things. And he was so enthusiastic about the Niners that had me rethinking all of my choices but it didn't quite get me there because I think I like the Seahawks a little bit more and we were I mean we're fit look we're fading the Rams we like the Rams as to miss the playoffs more than we like the Rams to win the Super Bowl. But I'm with you on the Seahawks like I can't wait to talk about them in the Super Bowl segment.
Love it. Everyone's heard this stat they've been beaten over the head with it. No team that's been plus 500 or better favorite for the Super Bowl. The last 20 teams are O and 20 on winning the Super Bowl. So that's a ramp stat basically the Rams are yeah. Hope the NFL is just that way man doesn't matter if you're the best team on paper in August. Can you survive the GOM like can your players stay healthy? And I agree with the fans I mean people have said we've never seen a team like this. Dolly agree I've never seen the MVP with the defensive player of the year and possibly the number one corner of football. And then you bring in formally the number one detack on all football to that team like it's it is scary what the Rams could possibly be. But it's never that easy Chad and that's what we love football and it's just the game always it always shows out who the true best team is and it's the preseason hype man you never want the preseason hype it just has never worked out so good to the Rams be the first team to do it.
Yes, but me and Chad have been very open to your I'm zero dollars invested in anything positive Rams and everything I've invested is just them to Mr. playoffs. It's really a team that I've just stayed away from just because the the value is just not there. But it was well look the the bottom line is we're kind of expecting some Matthew Stafford regression and it could be just him getting hurt. I mean it is a possibility when you get to be a quarterback who's in his late 30s that you could get hurt and he didn't last year but he did go into the year with an injured back and it's why Simon when we were talking about the Rams in the preseason we kind of walked away from them a little bit because we were worried about his back issues so now obviously they're not talking about it this year. But but it still could end up being something that flares up. All right so those are those are the highlights on the division winners Vikings 5 to 1 Broncos 3 to 1 Texans plus 120
Seahawks plus 200. Anything more to say about the Saints at plus 250? I don't know that like it's going to be a huge investment for me the way I like the Broncos or even the Vikings. Yeah I had bet them you know a lot in May in June and we talked about July and I'm hitting the point now are there kind of everyone's media darling. That's always scary everyone everyone's kind of picking them as a as a sleeper team which I'm right there along with them. It's just it's never good when you're a number one drafted receiver from this previous draft at a hamstring and I think they put them on the yeah I'm up and he'll be off the first four weeks and they've had some injuries to the offensive line some guys on defense. So yeah it's it's really a bet on Shuck in that gross division but yeah this I'm not going to come on here again and ask people to keep betting the Saintsers. The other teams I just gave you through the you know the Vikings Denver or Seattle I much rather
invest in them at this point and put any more money into the Saints. By age or rather in our soul at least 70% have a phone. Middle school is a different world than the one we grew up in. Yes, self-care can be a long walk, it can be an everything shower, it can be putting your phone on do not disturb but sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff. And understanding your patterns, your boundaries, finally figuring out why you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again. I'm Gemma Speg, the host of the psychology of your 20s podcast and each week we unpack the psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s from relationships and friendships to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment, just becoming more

Brandon Anderson from Action, we've had him on the show often. He's always had this great stat about betting defensive rookies of the year. It's really got to be a defensive end because that's going to ultimately be the guy who gets the highest profile plays. The guy who gets the most sacks, especially as the year goes on and they get better, I can't quit Caleb Downs at 701. Cowboys safety, rookie from Ohio State. I love the guy. And I think we're invested in the Cowboys. We like the Cowboys. If they're going to improve
incrementally, then it's going to be because Caleb Downs has been doing something really special as a rookie and Nash just going to get highlighted in these rookie of the year awards, MVP awards. They're all in the air of awards. So I feel like I'm getting decent value on Caleb Downs at 701. Yeah, working in his favor as well as they have the most, I believe, prime time games, right? Cowboys, I think have nine, something, something crazy like that. So I know it sounds silly, but that's something we're looking for. So the odds on favorite to me is what Chad just kind of talked about is you're looking for a pass rushers and that's Rubin Bane and he's on the the books. Should have been a top 10 pick, fell because he's got short arms, which I know people don't realize this. That what was viewed as a weakness is apparently a strength for his in practice. Like guys can't get a hold on them because you're so strong, so stocky, and you're so quick. So the fact that you have offensive lines on the books, who, you know, I have in the top five offensive line, I've talked
about this guy's dominated in practice. That could be a huge, huge steal for that, for that book steaming, Bane ran out of the odds on favorities, basically four to one, like Chad said, if you want to get down, he was eight to one, some books, seven to one, a lot of books have already moved to six to one. So I think people are trying to realize that that Dallas hype will probably help propel this kid to be this this this pick here, but I'm shocked you can start offensive, offensive player of the year, I should say Chad is right away. I went to your guy Caleb Williams. He's got 75 to one, 75 to one. I know people think they're going to run the ball a lot, which they they will, but if Luther burdens back, you know, if it's June's days back, if course the love lens health fee, you guys have a top five offensive line, and I've been very honest, I think you might have won the worst defense in all football. Yes, they might run the ball up. They're all going to be very dependent on Caleb, and you know, I know we're not one of the shows, like a lot of sportsmen to show is I've just talked about his passing accuracy and how that needs to improve,
and it does. But when the coach is openly saying that stuff and how he needs to be better, I don't think there's anything for him to lay back on. I think he's going to be full go ahead, Caleb, because this is for his contract, potentially his future, and I've been Johnson system, because Ben Johnson is much I think we think Caleb's part of the reason where they got to the playoff slash and he did amazing stuff. He's like us, the head coach. He's like, I need this kid to be good for three quarters in the full game. I don't need to be good for one quarter, especially in my system. So I think those are bad odds by the book. 75 to one for this guy to be offensive player of the year. I think Caleb, he misses out on MVP, because he doesn't have the wins. I think he fees the first guy in Bears history, though for over 4,000 yards and puts up 35 touchdowns and maybe seven to eight rushing touchdowns. That's going to be a really hard out to give this kid a well deserved reward. You know offensive player of the year. So that was just the only guy I've honestly invested in this award because I just there's so many names I couldn't really get there with everyone else,
but at 75 to one, it's like Caleb. He's got all the weapons. He's got all the tools. This feels like the perfect bet for what I predict is him taking the next step. So it's interesting. I do have two Bears statistical category bets that I want to talk about, but I didn't think about Caleb as offensive player of the year. 75 to one. That's a pretty tasty price. Who else do you want to talk about in award categories? Because I will say this. You mentioned Rubin Bain. You mentioned the Bucks Offensive Line. I would also say, I love a mad Baker Mayfield with something to prove. And behind an offensive line, that we think is great with a returned Bucky Irving with Chris Godwin playing better and fully healthy. Baker is still 40 to one to win the MVP.
I know, but it won't happen. He just is playing style. Like the more numbers I dive into, he's got the Joe Burrow thing where he just can't stop holding onto the damn ball. So that's my knock on Baker is he takes hits and he runs outside the pocket and that doesn't help having the best offensive line. It's like Baker can't help himself. He's always trying to do too much. Let's go to offensive rookie, the U chat. I think there's a lot of values. Mark it. Right now, the odds on favorites love and then take two guys. I'm not putting a single dollar into because they play. Jeremiah Love and Karnault tape. They play on such a treacherous teams. Or right after them, it's six to one to seven to one. Is the guy I've talked about price where it's Seattle. He's the guy. They're in a weird little weird fluctuation here of, you know, they want to charmer and a to come back from a bad knee. They put them on the puppy. He's going to miss the four first four weeks. It's all lined up for price to take this job and run away with it. That happens. And he's on a team that's going to win the possibly the toughest division
football. I just think he plans out. Nice value. The next one is a little bit of a long shot because we want to find some value here. We all know what's going on. Vegas, right? Gentie is banged up. He's got a high close right now. He could be back. But now the coach is talking that, you know, Mike Washington, Jr. He's played so well. It might be a 50 50 split. And to me, this kid has a ton of upside Mike Washington, a 40 to one. That's what he is. A 40 to one. He'd be all offensive rookies the year. If they let Kirk play, you know, for the full season, who knows? And this team does get to six, seven wins. I kind of liked the value on Mike Washington, Jr. Like, this kid is really talented. And it's why I make fun of these organizations. I think they're so poorly run. Why you don't take our first round pick because you can find a guy like Mike Washington in the fourth round. So to me, the Raiders, I think they've come around and they're like, and no, Gentie's a workhorse. He's great. The fact that Coach Sam were looking more towards a 50 50 split was very eye-opening to me and what they think of this kid. So I know he won't probably won't get
there because you might not get the touches, but just as those long shot odds, I rather bet him then put a more money into Carson Beck. So that's that's the thing. It's really top heavy in this this group here. They've been looking for a fun log shot. I like Mike Washington, Jr. For coaches coach of the year, how does he not win it? Mintter. Yeah, it's all there. Like he's got this young hot shot kid running the offense. I think he's like a 30-year-old thing. His name's Declan. Like very young, running the offense and then Mintter's gonna come in and fix this defense. He gets a little more right. They win 14. They win 13 games. I think he gets there. And right now he's 10 to 1. So the number one favorite now is John Harball. I don't see that. I'm not just kidding. Yeah, I know. So Mintter turned to 1. I feel like that's fair odds. And I'm happy to bet that right now on a guy. I just think the media is gonna fall in love with. He could turn the Schraven steam around. Look, if Lamar Jackson plays as well as reports out of Baltimore are indicating, he's happy. He's got
spirit with a different offensive coordinator who's not dragging him down the way Harball has been higher in guys who cannot seem to acclimate to Lamar's talents. Like, give me. Give me great idea. I'm surprised I didn't even think about it. Given how much I want to talk about the Ravens when we get to Super Bowl stuff, it totally makes perfect sense. In the statistical categories, transitioning to that, I still like the Bears to lead the league and scoring at 9 to 1. You just mentioned Ben Johnson. We mentioned how horrible their defense is gonna be. We mentioned that in previous shows, he wants to be the leading scoring team in NFL history. They're gonna have to be because this defense is so atrocious. Either guys are hurt and they're not playing. Guys are hurt. Kyler Gordon who aren't practicing, but they're showing videos of themselves exercising. Ben Johnson is sick of this defense being injured. The whole team is getting
frustrated with what's happening on the defensive side of the ball. That's gonna be an issue Simon. Yeah, well, I'll run through these. I got some really gross ones, but it's all just fun upside but what about my my 9 to 1 on the Bears? You know comment? I don't hate it. I like the logic of I told you I'm already in on it. I'm like I'm investing Caleb in the offense. I'm with you. Okay. Give me one of yours. I got a couple of other. Give me yours. Yeah, for passing touchdowns, I did Kyler at 50 to one. Oh, that's funny. That's all those odds. It's just those are insane odds. If he can stay right, we've seen in this offense, you can't pass for a lot of touchdowns. They do have a lot of weapons and KOC is not scared to pass the ball, especially in their red zone. I look at their back field. They do have running backs, but it's in a committee. We'll see if they enter a weird spot, they could trust Kyler more than those running backs and they get down their red zone. So just just just had those odds like to put it perspective, he's next to Fredin and Mendoza.
Yeah, red. So that's why I'm trying to give out like I get a Kyler, you know, it's a long shot from the legally in passing touchdowns. It's just at those odds, those ones really jumped out to me. I don't know if you have anything for that category. Well, the next one I have up is Russian yards. All right, mine are receiving yards and passing yards. So go ahead. Yeah, I just will do receiving yards next. I have a couple of that too. For Russian yards, I've talked about it. Showing me a new offense with Seiko on Barclay. It's all lined up for him. Have a great year once again. And we've already seen a guy almost go for 2000 Russian yards. So at 14 to one, I'm going to take those bets right now. They have guys like Cooks, Hampton above him. He's tied with Kenneth Walker, the league league in Russian. So to me with Seiko on, that feels like a real jump out spot where people are still a little too down on him for what he did last year and not thinking about how this offense lines healthy. And he's in a new running system that we've seen. Christa McCaffrey, Josh Jacobs thriving, right. The Shanahan run blocking system.
The second one is back to get my guy price. He's 40 to one. The league, the league in Russian yards. And I obviously be incredibly rare for him to do it. But we've seen this. These rookies come in with these fresh legs. Teams can really rely on these guys, right. They can really hammer them with the ball. And we've seen Seattle. They want to be at 50, 50, maybe even more. So our run heavy team, they give him the ball to see him don't know a lot. So I just thought those were pretty high odds where price is basically the same price bracket as David Montgomery, which to me, I just, I can't see David Montgomery leading the league in Russian yards, but the incoming unknown rookie price I can see it happening. So those are just the two guys I bet for the Russian yards. Receiving yards, we talked about this with Derek Brown the other day. Luther Burton, 50 to one. Same logic as why I like the Bears to score those points. Same logic as why you like Caleb at 75 to one for offense player of the year. Luther Burton was coming on so strong in the second half of last year. And this season, Roma Dunes A is going,
is not going to be the deep threat guy. It's going to be Luther Burton. And Luther Burton is also very physical. So to see Luther Burton in this offense for a full season, starting from the beginning, not having to sort of play second or third fiddle to a Dunes A or DJ more, I think he's going to be such a weapon for Caleb. So I got him a 50 to one. Oh, my. So for me, my number one pick is AJ Brown. He is 20 to one. The league the league and receiving yards. I've talked about, I think they have a harder schedule. He's a emotional guy. Raible would just force feet in with McDaniel's like they're just they want to be happy. Drake makes happy for speed him because he's so reliable. He's got such great hands where it's like, okay, they're consistently down in games and not going to be running heavy like they were last year. I think they'll be passing the ball much more, which obviously lends to AJ Brown. Like what I'm doing these things, I'm always looking for a team that they have a obvious number one guy. AJ was the first one to jump down number two. This one's gets this one's
truly gross. Garrett Wilson is 45 to one. The league the league and receiving yards. I think if he stays healthy and Gino is the one passing for the whole year, he's going to force speed him. Like he is the guy and they barely in this whole summer. If I had amazing chemistry and Garrett Wilson has been absolutely tearing up the Jets camp. So a team we think was going to be down by a lot of points having to pass the ball a lot. I like Garrett as an option there to lead the league and receiving yards. And last one is one me and Chad kind of talked about last week. DJ DJ Moore, he's 60 to one to be really going to pass in yards. And I don't know if you'll get the catches like we were saying, but to be a deep threat with Josh Allen to potentially be force fed by Josh Allen once they get a rhythm in the chemistry. It's 60 to one. I got to make that bet. That's just way way too big of us not to put a little bit of money on it. I know people are a little aware of DJ DJ is 29 years old. Obviously he's never had a quarterback at the level of Josh Allen. He's never been the main focal point even in Chicago. They had coastal leveling. They had Luther Burton. They had Roma Dunes. They
can Dalton King K take tunches from DJ Moore. Sure, but he's not really the same type of level of game that DJ is like where DJ is really deep deep down field threat. So I just like those odds is 60 to one. For the record, you can call me a homer about Luther Burton. But in the script and Matt Mitchell can back us up. I put in two names for receiving yards. Luther Burton of 50 to one DJ Moore at 60 to one. I was going to bring up DJ Moore. But as the fans have said, you just don't let me shine my light. And you just stamp, stampede all over me. I sent Luther Burton. And then I'm like, okay, Simon's going to say his and then I'll get to go say mine. But then you said all yours. And so now I don't get to say DJ Moore. But I'm with you on DJ Moore. 60 to one. Love it. Simon. It's a great idea. It is a great idea. Passing yards. I can't stop thinking about Jordan Love at 22 to
one. He's a guy who in every statistical category that the Geeks love and we talked about this with Derek as well is top five. And this is a team that isn't getting Mike Parsons back till mid-October. We don't trust the defense and don't know what we're going to get from that defense. We don't know what's going to happen with the running game. But we do know that Jordan Love is basically going to have to be the guy if they're winning games. It's because of him and because they're throwing the ball down field. So Jordan Love at 22 to one. Most passing yards. Don't hate it. By azer rather than or so, at least 70% have a phone. Okay, number one, I mentioned we've got a discord grouper. Read the number dot pre-order the number. You'll get the link to join our invite only
discord. You will get to vote on the bets we are going to make every single week during the season. I asked the discord for suggestions about what we should put in for our futures bets. I wanted to do two people voted. This is the first one. Go to read the number dot com. Pre-order the book. You can join the discord. Be part of the voting. I'll see you some long. Discord, grouper number one. Simon, are you ready? It's a pretty sharp group. I think you're going to like this. Denver, 20 to one to win the Super Bowl. I can help those people with even better bet. Don't even bet that 21. I'll give you a way better bet with Denver if I'm allowed. I mean, listen, I think the group would be okay if it's a Denver-based bet that is better than Denver, 20 to one. So if you want to offer it, go ahead. So rip up those tickets. Hopefully you didn't bet it. You can bet Denver to beat the Eagles at 210 to one. Okay. Simon, you're preemptive. I think I have, oh no wait, I have a lot of Eagles to win
Ravens to beat Eagles, all that kind of stuff. I don't have that one yet. All right, so go ahead. You're asking me what I'm not betting Denver straight up. This is why. I'd rather bet Denver to beat the Eagles or Denver to beat Seattle. Those are the bets I've made. Like I've said, I have not invested any other NFC teams. I'm an investment in the Rams. I've only invested in Seattle and the Eagles. So people are going to see my pattern here pretty simple here with my exact bets, my Super Bowl futures. And I just at those odds, 210 to one, that's a nice bet there on Denver. I believe there are, it's gone way down. It's a hundred to one for them to beat the Seahawks. That's just how much the books like the Seahawks run and get back to Super Bowl. So that was when that jumped out. All right, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go into the discord. Because we, another one is, is it, we have a 210 to one long shot on a different AFC team to beat Eagles that I'll talk that the discord grouper number two. Again, join the discord read
the number dot com. Cincinnati to be at Philadelphia at 210 to one. I'm less excited about that than I was about Denver at 20 to one. I will go into the discord and ask if people would like to change it to change the Denver bet to Denver to beat Philly at 210 to one. But what do you think is sincere to beat Philly at 210 to one? Yeah, you know, I'm all in uncertainty this year. It's all all about Joe and Joe stay healthy and well, the media still be idiots and blame the offensive line where it's basically 50% of time. It's Joe bros own. It's Joe taking bad sacks and taking bad hits. So time will tell with that one. But yet, you know, Chad, I'm all in on Bengals and, yeah, love that. Bubba's odds to 210 to one. Same as Denver to beat Philly. I do feel like there's a narrative that's changing lately in the media. I've seen this pop up in a variety of different preview shows with experts. Sacks as a quarterback stat. And that's been
bubbling up. But I feel like it's reaching sort of critical mass this year with so many people talking about how quarterbacks hanging out of the ball and getting sacked. That should be a stat that they are given in a negative way versus the offensive line giving up sacks because it is so much more dependent on the quarterback than I think people have realized for a long time. They need to do that. And they have to update the pick that's on the receiver. An exception that's on the receiver now in the quarterback. I really do think they need to drop. Because the interception now they become so rare, such a recent quarterbacks. Even for them, it's like half the time you see the picks like, you know, say Jordan loves those five picks. Three of them might be horrible, really embarrassing. The other two were like, literally hit a guy in the chest in the face mask. He hits off his hands up in the air and the defender picks. I really wish we could aggregate those interceptions as well because it tells different stories. So totally agree on about the offensive line part. Well Aaron Rogers is trying to turn that into
something real now. I don't know if you saw the press conference he did or the press gaggle he did after practice yesterday for the Steelers. But one of the rookie receivers ran the wrong route and Aaron Rogers through interception. And then he's like, yeah, the guy, he made a mistake. He made a mistake. Brookings are going to do that. But Aaron Rogers not afraid to call out when receivers make mistakes and he ends up throwing a pick. So he's single-handedly trying to turn that into a thing. You and Aaron Rogers. Same page. All right. Give me another Super Bowl future. Super Bowl exact matchup. Super Bowl exact score. Where are you thinking about this? I mean, I've shown my hand. I told you the NFC teams. I'm all in on Eagles, C.OX. So any match will be good thing. Of those are my two anchors and NFC. On the AFC side, I think Chad I talked about like I'm chiefs. Yep. Ravens and Bengals. And the Bengals do break my rule. I
usually don't put teams in that never one Super Bowl is before. But because Joe at least got to one with the same basic coaching staff and a couple of the same players. It's like, all right, I can I can break my rule for Joe. But usually I don't do this. But yeah, I'm it's it sounds boring, but I always tell people it's the NFL is very much about the ownership and how cyclical the league is where it's the same teams make the Super Bowl. You can keep going back. I mean, that's what's sucked about the Patriots and C.OX last year. It's like I should have saw that coming. It's part of my rule. It's two organizations literally have played against one another in the Super Bowl. And like that's just what happens. These repeat matchups keep happening. So yeah, if I want to run through all of them, chiefs to beat the Eagles, I believe was a hundred or one Eagles to beat the chiefs was like a hundred twenty to one Eagles to beat the chiefs is one forty to one. Yes. So like they keep dropping. You know, Ravens to be the Eagles, hundred or one Eagles to beat the Ravens. I think it was a hundred twenty to one. It's like I want to keep doing all these
exact those and I just mess with them that way where if you're leaving out the Rand or if you're leaving out the bills, you're getting good value in these bets because you're not burners solves with all these extra teams. So that's what I'm looking for. Like it's tough choices. I've said the bills. No one would be shocked if they make the Super Bowl. The Rams obviously no one would be shocked to make the Super Bowl. But that's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to take hard stance against teams that can hedge out against because I do expect them to make runs or be in the playoffs. And I'll just hedge and I need to against them when they're in sort of matchups. So that's that for me is what I'm looking for here. Simon, you and I on this are on the exact same page. The everything I've listed in the script is Eagles to beat the bangles, which is one ninety to one. Eagles to beat the Ravens. You just mentioned Ravens to beat Seattle Ravens to beat the Eagles chiefs to beat the Eagles Eagles to beat the chiefs. I love the round robins. Historically, I've done the round robins on matchups of the teams that are listed, I think, at 12 to one or shorter. And I think last year approved that maybe that needs to be adjusted. But also,
I think I'm not loving the value of those versus these exact matchups with some of the teams that this give me an opportunity to invest in teams whose odds might be too short. But I can get better value by an Eagles to beat the Ravens at a hundred to one, like you said. So you and I are a hundred percent aligned. Round robin, let's make it clear for people. We are telling people for Super Bowl matchups do Super Bowl exact outcomes. And we are saying round robin, the Eagles, the Seahawks, the Ravens, the chiefs and the bangles, those five teams. And Denver. And Denver. Round robin, those six teams in your Super Bowl exact outcomes. I think that's a pretty clear one. Just people want to know the basis of it. It's really, I've kind of talked about all the time. I'm really into the way the league is shifted.
It feels like the NFC, the teams with the best detacles keep making it right. And we had it last year with the Seahawks in the year before with the Eagles. I know it sounds very lazy. Obviously, there's way more that goes into it. But we've seen in NFC, those game records in January and February, they're the difference makers. Like it's like, don't over think this, don't try to reinvent the wheel. If you don't have the guys up front, you're just never going to make my list. And especially when it's talking about the NFC, that's why the Rams were really tough for me to leave off. It's like, their D-line is so good, so talented. It really is a fade on staffer. It's like, I think last year was the year. That's my view of it. It's like, you had the MVP season is best statistical season he's ever had. He stayed fully healthy. Your defense stayed very healthy. But like I said, let's need to add to do what he had to do. But as a better, there's just no value there. Even all these bets we're looking at, if I want to do the Rams to beat the chiefs, I think it was like 60 to one. Which is terrible. But we're talking about 100 to one odds here and 200 to one odds.
It's like, there's just way better value out there if we need to. If me chat, I need to take position on the Rams. Maybe we will once it comes to that playoffs, but I'm always going to kind of being the mentality of his approach. I need to fade this team. That's where the value is going to be. My whole view of them is just, I mean, we're going to talk about week one next week. You're going to be shocked, but that's one of the easiest bets in the board. He's been the 49ers week one against that Rams team. So not always going to be all about fading this Rams team, Rams fans. I'm sorry for just bashing your team here. It's just as as a better, I just go over the value as in there's just no value right now. I'm betting any type of futures in this Rams team. I had Simon. You mentioned it. The next time we see people, that's our show for our final off season preview.
