This is Belie, one network, every topic, everywhere. Well, throw another one on the fire, another brand on the fire. Nike has gone broke. They've actually been delisted from the S&P 100. This is going to happen on September 21st because they failed miserably the last couple of years. And people are blaming politics. They're blaming the boat. Yes. Yes. Have you seen some of the campaigns that some of these companies have been doing lately? It's just, you know, I don't know what they're thinking. They're not thinking. They're thinking very left. That's what they're thinking. Yeah. This was another company that went after Dylan Mulvaney, I guess a couple of years ago. Colin Kaepernick, of course, was their spokesperson and he was highly political. In fact, if you Google him, he came up as a political activist before a football player,

which I thought was interesting. They don't care anymore about that situation because I never care anything about him anymore. That was like years ago. Yeah. And it's interesting today because I think Rolling Stone is trying to catch some of that search traffic. People are searching for him now because of Nike going broke. And they're like, in 2016, he became the face of the athletic protest. What happened to the others? Like, where did all these people go? I'm like, well, they probably learned to keep their mouths shut. Or everybody just walked away because they didn't care. Everybody walked away. Yeah. They got tired of it. Just became, you know, you're associated with something that is annoying to me. So not because I disagree with you, necessarily, or just because, you know, people are just tired of hearing about it. They might even be on the same side as people, you know, politically, but when they're constantly inundated with it, they're eventually just like, yeah, I'm out. And, you know, the thing here too is that Nike historically has been, or Nike, you know, Nike Nike. We used to call it Nike back in school. We call it Nikes, but Nike, I think is the more like Nike.

Like Nike likes it. Nike is more the Nike likes the wokeness. Nike Nike. They had an audience of athletic people, right? They pushed athleticism and fashion for years. And then they turned around and decided to go after the audience that literally hates fitness and thinks it's fascism. They let them, they're saying that we're going to talk about that. They're saying that being fit is fascism. Being fit is fascism. So this is the audience that they're chasing, right? So what did you, what did you think was going to happen? You know, I'm saying, like, I'm, this is a prize mini-way shape reform, honestly. No. So good luck with that. So we're going to talk about this before we get into it any further. Thank you so much. CalShi, we're going to get back into the podcast. And yeah, let's talk about what's going on first. This has come from height beast. Nike to leave the S&P 100 on September 21st. They're set to leave before US trading opens on September 21st according to the S&P Dow Jones index. The change was announced on September 4th as part of the index providers quarterly rebalance. So the sportswear company joins Honeywell Simon property group and Colgate on the list of S&P 100 departures. Basically all these companies are failing. So we're going to take them off. Yeah Colgate too. Dell technologies, Palo out on networks, Ariston networks and Sandes will enter. So they're going to have Dell's dude you're getting a Dell. That's funny. I think I would have thought Dell would have been kicked off there, but that's just me. Ah yeah. So the S&P 100 tracks 100 major US companies across several industries and is a subset of

the broader S&P 500. Basically these are the movers and shakers in the US economy and Nike is in such a piss poor condition right now that they can't justify keeping them on the list. That's it. So this was a couple days before they announced that they were yanking them and we'll talk about the wokeness possibly factoring into the brokenness, but there are other factors just to be fair. People said that there's been a lot of mismanagement at Nike over the last couple of years and also they've tried to pivot more direct to consumers instead of selling everything in the store like they used to and I think people probably just forgot about them. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. To me, like Nike is a very 80s brand too and a lot of these brands didn't really survive very well. I'm surprised sketchers are still around because that was a very 90s thing. Yes, sketchers I mean, I have people that have only wear sketchers, but I think Nike

has a shirt with the logo and stuff. You still see that but not the shoe so much. No, no. All right. So from Colin Kaepernick to Dylan Mulvaney, this is coming from Fox News, Nikes decade of left wing activism is finally caught up to it. And this was again, this was like almost two weeks ago and they have a rundown of everything that led to them crashing and that has led to them being delisted from the S&P 100. It spent much of the last decade making left wing politics part of its brand in the company stock it a 12 year low this week. Before we get into it, we should acknowledge that the social justice messaging isn't the only reason the company is struggling. Yeah, and that needs to be made clear because a lot of people are trying to say, well, this is, you know, the sole reason that they've failed. It's a big part of it. I'm sure, but there were other dumbass business decisions that were made. Nikes losing ground to newer competitors as products haven't created the same excitement and consumers aren't eager to pay more for sneakers right now. It's hard not to notice what Nike has been doing while it's businesses butter picking

fights over politics, race, patriotism, transgenderism and DEI. And here's Mulvaney. Nobody talks about Mulvaney anymore. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, no. Not as people because it was like it became peak and then everybody just kind of got tired of it and turned their back on it. Now you don't hear from them at least people anymore. From Colin Kaepernick to the Betsy Ross flag Dylan Mulvaney and a study involving transgender youth athletes at night quietly backed away from after we exposed it. This would be outkicked. The company has built an impressive record of left wing corporate activism. You know what's weird about this though? Is they go after the CEO because he backs Republicans and his son runs like a studios, which stop motion studios Travis Knight. And he's the one who did Masters of the universe and they were having a shit fit about that because they're like, he's the right wing big. That's right. You always have everything. You have to agree with us for every little thing. I think so stupid. You know, we never knew what the politics of people were like 20 years ago, even.

And now that's like everybody leads with that. And it's so like, God, it's annoying. I think that's it. Like you're saying, even if people agree with your politics, they're so annoyed. It's like, I just want to buy shoes. I just want to drink a Coke. Why do I have to be told how awful white people are? You know, drinking a Coke. You have white baller bears. What's the problem? In February, it added an EEOC investigation into a legit race discrimination against white employees and job applicants to the list. Oh, they wanted to be more than a shoe company mission accomplished. Yeah. And he became Colin Kaepernick became the face of Nike. And you know, it just did not go well for them. It's been downhill ever since in 2020. They went all in on BLM, which we don't talk. But you know, we don't talk about that anymore. Well, yeah, they want you to forget about it. So is it because the people that were running the BLM, the organization, not the movement itself, but the organization that they turned out to be like a bunch of fraudsters?

Is that they're taking money? Yeah. They're taking money. Is that why we don't talk back? Because they had like HBO deals and stuff. And now literally nobody talks about it. It's so weird. It's just like it was the biggest thing ever. It was like, times up. It's like the biggest thing ever and told us not. And it's like, yeah, just don't talk about that anymore. Dylan Mulvaney, we know that Dylan is poison for any brand that they work with. They had a trans athlete study. What else do they have? They face it. Now they're facing a federal DEI investigation. So it's said, it's investigating systemic. This is the federal government. They're investigating systemic allegations at Nike discriminated against white employees, jot applicants and participants and training programs through DEI-related practices. So yeah, a lot of your target audience, they're going to be against this shit, right? They're going to be like, because your target audience historically has been athletes. They've been fit people. And we've got people that basically hate fitness and athletes taking control of the company

and then the marketing people are the most carony bunch of carons. Yeah. So show me that. I was like, oh, what can possibly go wrong? It's like, oh, women. No, man. You know, just saying. I mean, not saying it has to be, you know, that you have to have men involved, but I'm just like, I can understand why things were the way they did when there's just an echo chamber in that building and that room. It's echo chamber. Hey, everything's better with Dick. No. Well, it depends, you ask. But, you know, everything's better with Dick's. Dick's in the corporate and the boardroom. Let's look at this. You sent this to me and I thought this was a parody, but this is real. This person truly believes that being physically fit is fascist. Yeah. That's what they're saying. They're saying that the physical fitness is fascism. All right. Let's look at this here. I'm going to pull this up. You have to give up the fantasy of being fitter than the fascists.

It's not just that it's cringed or strategically bad. So it is. I think it's also politically revealing. Policely revealing. Inness. Is a measure of relative disposability under capitalism. Our task is not to become less disposable, to become more useful to the ruling order. What we all need to be doing is rejecting disposability in all of its forms. The point is not to beat the fascists at their own game. It is not to lay a better claim on their own territory by being fitter, more eugenic. In fact, the more it is, the better. I don't understand what they're saying. The ruling class doesn't want you. This is the whole handmaid's tail mentality. Okay. So this explains so much about some of the antifip protests I've seen. I'm like, people don't look like you could like.

So yeah, I'm like, so being attractive being, you know, being fit, you know, being apparently wearing decent glasses and having a fat, having fashion sense, we're all thinking that our fascism according to this woman. At least her outfit. This is, you're assuming her gender. This is, she's only, she's got like 32 different genders. Well, it's possible. She's, it's a, I don't know. I don't know. Two spinners. I'm sorry. I didn't let the skirt look. You're assuming they're wearing a skirt. Could be a pants suit. I didn't pull down their pants and look. So I don't understand the logic here though. So we're going to fight fascism with fatness like, so you're going to be out of breath. How are you supposed to punch a fasher, bash a fasher, whatever the hell they do, punch a Nazi? If you can't catch up to them, if you're winded, is that all they have to do? Like fascism wins by default because it can outrun you. Well given who, you know, given people that, you know, lately how that's gone with the,

with the anti-Semitism, you could just rule them away at this point because they're fighting the fascists. I mean fat. But he's fat. You're harder to kidnap if you're fat, eat more cake kind of thing. I guess I'm set. I'm like, I'm not fat guys. I'm fighting fascism. I will never fit in the ice van because I am too fucking fat. There you go, band. There you go, band. You know, you're fat. It's like, no, I'm not. I'm fighting fascism. I'm fighting fascism. I know how wide those doors are on those vans and I'm going to make sure I can't fit through them. Oh God, what else they say? I think. Revolution is not a contest between optimized and properly prepared bodies. Oh my God. Where do these people come from? Which history books are they reading? These are the people they were in my head that they were putting in charge of video games to the terrible women look like because they didn't want to feel bad.

I can't even watch it. I can't watch it more. I'm just embarrassed for this person watching this person because I'm like, you literally don't understand how to make me worse. I'm like, that's the kind of point of privilege that one video. They're point of privilege, point of privilege. Could you please stop talking because of my disability or whatever. It's going to be hard to focus. It's like that. It's just, you know, you know, I do because I'm a dick. I'd be like, what? What? What? What? Yeah, I'd be like, posties. Just like, I don't. Why are you losing? Well, I can't imagine why anyway. So basically these are the kinds of people that Nike has been marketing to. Right. But they're not buying us up anyway. That's what I'm saying. They're not buying it. That's what I'm saying. They're not buying it. Fashion people because that's that's fascism. Don't you hear the sound? Fashion, fascism. Same thing. Same thing. Yeah. It's right in the name fascistism. So okay.

So we're going to take a look at what the more business cited, I guess, reasons for them to fail are just to be fair. And we do have a lot of losers here. Nike is the biggest one. Dow Jones biggest losers of 2026. We got Nike at 39.73%. IBM 20% McDonald's 16%. MX 11% Disney 7% Home Depot Walmart Boeing sales force. Yeah. I mean, it's almost like people have a money, right? And again, it's a luxury brand, right? All right. This is an explainer apparently from Akash Gupta. So I don't know who he is exactly, but he's got three. He's got 300,000 followers. So he must be good because he's got a lot of followers. In 2020, Nike's CEO cut off hundreds of the stores that sold it shoes. Okay. Selling direct earned 50% margins instead of the 35% wholesale paid. And the spreadsheet said the retailers needed Nike more than Nike needed them.

They still had shelves to fill. They filled them with on and Hoka to running brands. Yeah, we know. Hoka, yes. I like the Hoka shoes. Yeah. To running brands doing a combined 600, a two million when Nike walked away by 2025, they were doing 3.2 billion. So they went from 600, a two million five years ago to 3.2 billion because Nike decided they were going to note that. Yeah. And because I know that left room for the people who are doing better because they make better quality stuff. Which by the way, the Hoka stuff isn't bad. You can find those a lot of times at Ross's and stuff. It's still kind of pricey. There are actually knockoff versions, well, different kind of brand on Amazon. I get that are very similar that are a lot cheaper, but I get that one. But Hoka's are good. So this is Nike now. Yeah. Right. So this is this is part of it too. Yeah. Because it said Nike was 75% of foot lockers revenue. Do we still have foot lockers? I have. I know we did. Because okay, so you could tie that to malls. Like all the whole thing is dead.

I remember foot locker used to be huge. I used to have like an arm all they had like foot locker and then they had like foot locker women's then foot locker. Yes. And then like the whole freaking like one wing of the mall was just all like foot locker. And now it's all like discount shoes. If you get a shoe. Find a mall that has a shoe. Yeah. And it'll be like the only store there and it'll be a bunch of like empty stores. It'll be like a vape shop next to the zombie mall places. Run them all out and shut the power off until you have to show you. Oh god. So Nike spent two years under LA Hill paying to win back the exact shelf space at abandoned wholesale North America is growing. Yeah. So the lot of yada yada yada. There were a lot of bad decisions made. But still it's like the the workness did not help. Right. It's just it didn't help. But they they're saying that because they wanted to go direct to consumer and look, consumers buy a lot of times what's in front of them. And you know, if it's out of sight, it's out of mind.

And I don't think people I'm going to be I'm going to be honest here. Just I don't think people are really into fashion brands like they used to be like when we were kids in the 80s because everything was so damn materialistic. It was like I had to be you had to wear the right brands. You had to have the Levi's jeans. You had to have the Nike of the Reebok shoes. We had to have well. So it's big back and Jordan Ash with the girls. But here's the thing, you know, yeah, it's end. But I'm not seeing it fast as much. But we're seeing things like you had to have a Stanley Tumblr for school and stuff like that. Some other things that the influencers are latching on to. Some brands used to still are kind of you know, oh, I'm going to leave because I wear this. But a lot of it anymore. I don't I think it's other things other status symbols. Yeah, your phone. Yeah. It's like now it's weird because I thought I thought Gen Z was in the night because they were doing like the whole like sock and sandal thing. I thought that was like a I didn't even know about that. You mentioned to me. I've never. Yeah, they were talking about how like like Gen Z women were like wearing like really expensive

designer dresses and then just like Nike socks and like well, I didn't know about that. But I knew that they were one shoes. I forget which designer was supposed to be. But it was basically a heel cap with a strap on it. Oh, those are the dumbest. And then they're like their shoes like they're not a shoe. That's a little like a heel condom. That's not a shoe. A heel condom. Oh my God. That's for only fans, right? So but yeah, it's just like this is this is crazy. I don't know. I think we're going to see a lot of these brands that all happen is like like some other company will come along by night and be like, yeah, we're just going to sell shoes with a swish, but they're actually going to be made by the same company. It makes like all the other all the other crap. Crocs will buy him. Yeah. I don't know. And you thought Crocs was supposed to be a joke and now it's like a joke. It was a joke. They put them in an eocracy because they thought that they were the dumbest shoes ever made and now it was wearing them. I know a hospital is like a lot of nurses wear them. Hey, I thought they were stupid and I went wearing me there and I did get a pair of Hello Kitty ones, but I got it on a clearance and I only wear them at home, but I liked them

for wearing at home. I have never owned a pair and I have zero desire to ever have a pair. Oh, no one's making you. I'm going to when you're sleeping, I'm going to slap those on your feet. They're not shoes. I'm going to take a picture and I'm going to say you lied. They're not shoes. I don't know what the hell they are, but they're not shoes. It looks like a packing material that you buy shoes in. Like if you buy shoes, there's a box, you open the box and it looks like a crock, but there's actually a real shoe inside the crock. The crock was just the foam padding or whatever they put inside the shoe to keep the shape of it. They're not real shoes. Anyway, night, not real company. Yeah, they're not getting to be listed, so that's bad. There you go. We're going to wrap it up. Maybe go back certain things and you won't end up in this situation. Yeah, right? I mean, this is how many times we have to teach you this little, man. There we go. Wrap it up. Yes. Holy subscribe. We'll talk later. Bye.
