Niners Beat Rams, Aaron Rodgers Doesn't Share, & Volpe's Grand Slam Return

0:00What we learned last night in Melbourne was that it's over for the Rams. The Rams are overrated and the seasons over. Yes, seasons over done. The Niners with the season opening win. Two tight ends at the right. Here's the snap. Pretty back thrills back left side of the end zone. It is caught touchdown 49ers and it's my Evans. His first in a San Francisco uniform. Yeah, this was different in Australia, but you know what? We came out here. We got it done. You got to be ready to play, but maybe a few days earlier would have been ideal. But no matter what, we don't care if they came a week or two weeks earlier.

1:00You know, we had it on our monitor come out here and execute and we did that. And if you are the jets or the giants, these are the numbers that you want to see. You want to run for 174 yards like the 49ers did. You want your quarterback to have a high completion percentage. 25 of 34 and three touchdowns. He did throw a bad interception, but he, you know, he was able to withstand that. It came back and through this beautiful past that the Marcus Robinson for a touchdown after that interception, but that's Kyle Shanahan calling those plays. And that's that quarterback, you know, executing and not making stupid mistakes, except for one. And not executing to some degree was Matthew Stafford 15 of 25 only 155 yards. No touchdowns. And today was one of those days. And, you know, I always look inside out. I didn't do good enough job getting us ready to go. There were some opportunities where maybe the game could have flipped, but they deserve the win.

2:02If you don't watch him speak, it really feels like an AI, like made up character. Where you hear it, especially in that sort of sound, you know, where he was in the echoing. That was there. Yeah. I mean, what what a, you get on this plane 16 hours. You're there for like half a day. You get the snuck kick that you get back on plane 16 hours. I mean, well, it's just sucks. That's what it is. No, I mean, this was the first worst version of myself that I've put out there. Now I've got to be better. I got to find a way to recover and get back to the player. I know I can't be and I'm showing that I've been before. I'm apparently dealing with some sort of knee issue. I saw it dealing with Trent Williams. That too. That is an ABC.

3:02It seems like 40. Yeah, he's old. The soft and some lemon and the way. You know, again, I, I do believe that the Rams were affected by the way that they decided to travel. I don't care. 5:07ultimate respect for those guys, what they do, how they played, how they coach. And that's how things look. You know, it's interesting. You remember we were talking about the backup quarterback situation for the judge yesterday? Yeah. I was thinking, you know, they did, you know, they kind of manipulated their roster a little bit before they settled on a final and remember they made the, uh, trade for the offensive lineman from the Vegas Raiders. And I think the reason they did that is because they were having problems with snaps and practice, believe it or not, like a fumble snap here, a bad shotgun snap there. And I believe one of the reasons why they brought this guy over is because he worked with, you know, Smith last year in Las Vegas that if they do need a backup center, that they have a guy that, you know, can go in there and actually execute just the basics of what the most important part of the game is handing the ball to the quarterback. Okay. And I know that they've worked really, really hard on, on just eliminating all the stupid mistakes, the bad handoffs, the fumbled handoffs, the bad center, uh, quarterback exchange

6:08stuff, all the little things that I know that are a major bug a boot for Frank. Now most offense coordinates will tell you the same thing, but I know that it was a major emphasis during training camp this year is that holding on to this football and not giving it away and giving the game away. The page the way the Patriots did on Wednesday night is going to be a significant point of emphasis emphasis for this offensive, uh, New York Jets team. Sunday night, the Giants take on the Cowboys. Some other things you mentioned the Patriots, AJ Brown out at least four weeks with the high ankle sprain. He's also going to be researching Brittany the way she spells her name from the University of Texas from 2017 this morning to find out who she is, who his wife is. Yeah, she revealed they met in 2017 when she was a student at University of Texas and she spells her name very uniquely for Brittany. So he ordered a yearbook and how he did. Okay. I just couldn't put the Rockies away as he put it. New York now trails Tampa by three games in the ALE because finally the Braves did give them a little bit of help, which wasn't happening. But last night it did. Cam crowds it up the middle right off the bag. It's going to score two and it is three and nothing in Atlanta. That was Ha Sung Kim with the two runs single in a three run eighth inning. It was a scoreless game to that point. And the Braves wound up winning the game three to one to beat the race. The race now play the Astros over the weekend while the Yankees will take on the Met's starting tonight. The New York Times reporting a federal investigation has been opened into the clippers for this whole circumventing the salary cap with co-wile and so this might not be over. It is the time. But or the waste of time. That's our always time because you know they won against every single rule in the player. Yeah. By the way, the player. The NBA. Yeah, I know, but that's the NBA.
