Nintendo announces another Nintendo Direct. Microsoft announces big changes to cloud gaming. And Nadi Dog says there's a couple of last of us projects in the works. We'll have all this and more because this is kind of funny games, daily. What's up and welcome to kind of funny games, daily for Friday, September 4th, 2026. Of course, I'm Tim Gettys. I am joined today by blessing at a yo-yay, junior. Good day, Tim. I got distracted by your biceps for a second. Oh, really? Oh, shit. I was like, what the fuck is that? Oh, funny. There's a weapons on the set. Listen, I've been trying to relax on them a little bit. Because I go to the gym. And when people go to the gym, they obviously have their favorite muscle groups that they like to work out. I talked to Barrett about this, where he loves leg day.
And I think that is absolutely insane. That's a big lot of sense of my Barrett though. But I'm like, yeah, it does, don't get to me. They call them big leg Barrett. Big leg Barrett. And I'm like, I like working out the arms. But now I'm like, I need to stop right off the arm. Because I love it. Get a little crazy. It's get a little too much. Or I'm like, I was something and I'm like, I didn't need to lift that. I mean, like, I got to use my other muscles. It's all biceps. It's all biceps. It's triceps. So freaking funny. I'm going to use my legs. Oh, man. Well, it's Friday, blessed. We have a three day weekend upon us. What plans do you have? I'm playing to use this thing right here. Oh, yeah. I got the AYN Thor that I've not talked about in any of the shows. I'm only like blue skyed about it. But I love this thing so much. Andy, put me onto it. Of course, Andy's been the one evangelizing the good word of the AYN Thor. And that man is correct. Oh, yeah. That's a cool thing. It's a crazy one. How cool this thing gets once you set it up, which takes quite a bit. This thing gets in the weeds. It runs on Android. You boot it up and it's an Android home screen. So you got to figure out how to set up all the stuff that you want to set up.
But they're amazing guides that make it amazing guides. Simple, but take some time. Take some time. Set aside two hours. Yeah, at least. And yeah, I got this thing set up the way I wanted it to be set up and I've been loving using this thing. It plays my theme games. Now, obviously it's not going to play the powerful theme games, but I have quite a few on here, but I'm like, you know, these two Hollow Knight. You're going to play this fire blood dungeon I got downloaded on here is now the time that you're going to get into Hollow Knight silk song. Oh, I know right now. No, no, no, no, no. But I mean, hey, this might be the entry way. This does help. The fact that I can fit it in my pocket and I can go on the bar and have something that I don't have to carry a steam deck. You know what I mean? Or even an Nintendo Switch, which requires me to have like an extra bag to it. I can just have this wherever I can go. It's amazing, man. What a beautiful device. Unrelated to this. I've been playing Pokemon Heart Gold. Yeah, yeah, good game. Good game. It's all good. Man, let me tell you about Pokemon Heart Gold. We'll talk about that later. That was great. That was really good. Before we get into all that stuff, I have two things that I want to talk about.
Two things that make me very, very happy. Yeah. I woke up to a fun surprise today. Yeah, a tweet. Cap, can you bring up the tweet? Let's watch the first thing. There we go. pressing on right into the comments, Okay, we started. So very much. and you're gonna have to go. I tweeting at me kind of funny via like, Hey Tim, we all got really hyped. We saw your reaction to the reveal of the sword. The game's coming out. I hope you enjoy it. It's like clearly you recorded this before the review in Margot dropped, but like, yeah, what a cool
thing. It's really, it makes me feel special. Yeah, directly from the Automusa account, like, from the director, like, from the director, that's so cool. It is. It is so cool, especially because I ended up loving the game so much. So it's like, yeah, I appreciate that a lot. I think it's somebody that grew up playing these games and loving them so much. It's like, whoa, yeah, I'm just kind of dope. I mean, you're kind of Mr. Onamusha if you think about it. Hey, I'll take that. I'll take that. But you all can become Mr. and Mrs. Onamusha's this week. I think it's out today. It's out today. Yo, get on Emusha away at the sword. It's very funny. Love it so, so much. But yeah, that's not the only thing that happened to me that made my life a lot better. Yeah, Nintendo sent me a little present. Oh, a very timgetties present. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, eight LP vinyl box set. And it is a thing of beauty. Oh, oh my God. I'm tearing up looking at it. So cool. Look at that. Holy shit. It is so sick. This is sick as hell.
So much dope ass art. This is so cool. Oh my God. Look at that. I've never been this jealous of any. Come on, man. This is all of them are so right. Everyone just gets cooler than the last. Well, then there's that one. Yeah. I just want to listen to the. That one. I just put that one at the start. Oh, come on. Classic. Of course. Come on. Man. So cool. This is from a least records. You can get it now in a whole bunch of different storefronts, but they have it on Nintendo.com on the store there. If you wanted to check it out. But I mean, like, dude, these are some premium collections and like, I love it. And one of my one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. I'll put it up there probably top 10 for me. Yeah. I know people are split on the soundtrack because it's way more muted. It's way more like calm. You know, it's not in your face in the way that previous Zelda soundtracks are. And obviously when when you have a carina in your legacy, I think
people have the highest of expectations. For me, I love the breath of wild soundtrack. I love the piano melodies that come through. I love the Rideau Village song, which I know is from Windwaker because it's I forget the name of it. But it's a rendition of a previous song. That Rideau Village version of it, though. Oh my God. That's maybe my favorite song in the Zelda franchise. It's funny. You've caught that song in particular because my favorite rendition of that song is from Tuesday Kingdom during the Colgera battle. And yeah, so good. Oh my God. So good. It pops off so hard. But I'm with you that the breath of wild and tears soundtracks, they're obviously massive. We need eight finals to hold this. But I think that there's an argument to be made that if you were to kind of get rid of a lot of the more atmospheric songs and just look at like the songs with a more traditional melody, it does toe to toe stand up with any of the other. Especially tears. Yeah. Tears kicks it up a notch. But I like the calm stuff. I think that's my thing.
I like to put it on in the background. Yeah. I like it a lot. And what a unique vibe too. It gave the game such an identity. Yeah. Like sonically. Like, sure. Love it. But Shafeson Nintendo, thank you so much for sending that through to me. If you're watching live, be part of the show by super chatting on youtube.com slash kind of funny games. We're talking a lot about what I'm watching. Nintendo directs. He's going. Hello, he says kind of funny. And then he says Tim. It's so cool. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, please super chat your predictions or what you're hoping to see at the Nintendo direct. Uh, both of them coming out next week. Shout out to our Patreon producers over on patreon.com slash kind of funny. Omega Buster. Dolly need to saw him twining and Michael Peservento are new and very welcomed. Patreon producer. But now it's been with what is in forever will be the rope or report. It's time for some news. We have five stories today. Oh, Bakers doesn't.
Story number one. Nintendo confirms two Nintendo direct broadcasts for next week. This comes from Tom Phillips at IGN. Nintendo has announced a pair of direct broadcasts for next week, including a dedicated Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary showcase. The Zelda Direct will air on Tuesday, September 8th at 7 a.m. Pacific and last 30 minutes. Expect updates on the Zelda franchise, including this year's Ocarina of Time Remake and perhaps a first proper look at next year's live action Legend of Zelda movie. Nintendo's next general director will then air 24 hours later on Wednesday, September 9th at 7 a.m. Pacific and last 45 minutes. This will then be followed by 110 minute Nintendo treehouse stream with further gameplay of titles featured in the direct. There's so much to break down here. How excited are you? I mean, I'm so excited. It's so funny. My excitement for this compared to when they announced the state of play. Obviously, we're in very different scenarios when we're talking about PlayStation versus Nintendo because we know Ocarina of Time Remake is coming
and I think for so many of us that's at the top of the list of most anticipated games right now. And so I'm already very excited to see when is that game coming out. I imagine we're going to see more gameplay, all that kind of stuff. The fact that they're not just calling it the Zelda Ocarina Direct. This is the Zelda anniversary direct makes me wonder what also we're going to get from the Zelda franchise. I'm sure we're going to deep dive into all of those possibilities, what they could be, but getting that and then also getting a proper Nintendo Direct. I'm so excited to see like that opens up the door for it does it time for 3D Mario is it time for a smash as which version what what other surprise Luigi's Mansion pick I wear it in that early stage of the switch to or anything's possible anything is possible. And that's my favorite place to be with a going into an intended direct. It also is the best place to leave yourselves completely disappointed. Yes, but I think that's okay because where we're at I don't expect to be disappointed because there are so many questions that are open that need to be answered and Nintendo's going to answer
them. Like we're going to we know like Nintendo has been very, very good leading into the switch to and specifically during the switch to of letting us constantly be updated in what's happening at least the next four months. We know what's going on. They're not announcing games that are a year out. They're announcing games that are four months out for the most part. There are rare exceptions, Fire Emblem, fortunes, we being I think the longest shoot your shot game we've seen recently they did the Zedal Blade Genesis. Yes. Is that what it's called? The next Zedal Blade? Yeah. And so I feel like that is their replacement game for the it's common later type things. So yeah, having said all of that. This is very exciting to get the separate directs and you bring it up the compared to the state of play. It's like the state of play. I think they really set the tenor pre going in by saying it's going to close with Final Fantasy 7. Yeah, let us know. We knew that's what was going to happen. And the best case scenario there was we're going to get the release date. And we did. Yeah. Cool. So that's why I think overall I was satisfied with that because I feel like that was the
reason that existed. The reason this would exist is Zelda. Then it's two directs. Yeah. That makes me think is there a reason the other direct exists now to counterpoint my own point. You think back to Mario's anniversary. Yeah. And they just did one direct that had the first 15 minutes be the Mario and the first three part. And then they went in and it was a little weird because remember they announced Yoshi's mysterious book. Yes. And they announced Mario. That's what that game was called right. Yoshi's mysterious book. Yoshi and the mysterious. You're close. I'm going to look it up Yoshi. Oh, no, Yoshi and the mysterious book. There we go. But Mario Galaxy wanted to come to switch. They showed the first teaser and the reveal of the name of the movie being the Mario Galaxy movie. And we're going to get the fucking name. I know the movie. I know. I know. That's so sick. So let's start with the Zelda, right? We're getting
not Kareena confirmed. Yeah. Right. Are you going to assume? I'm not going to assume actually. Don't assume anything. But I would think I would hope gameplay and date. So we're also getting the tree house, right? So 110 minutes on the second day. Yeah. Featuring gameplay of games. From the direct. Yeah. I imagine I guarantee we're going to get Zelda, a creative time gameplay because I don't think they're going to shift from this year. I think they're sticking to it being this year. I agree. And if that's the case, yeah, like they just don't have much time to be able to do that. And if they're doing the Zelda, this is the time. Like this is how Nintendo does these things. So yes, I very much expect to see the Ocarina time gameplay. Do you want to start with Ocarina? What we? Yeah, let's just start. I mean, I'll start with release date. When does this game come out? That's the big question. Are they afraid of GTA 6? I imagine they are. How afraid of GTA 6 are they? That is the bigger question. I think as long as you get out at least two weeks before GTA 6, you're fine. I think this game
is going to get slated for the first week or two of November, same day. No, same day. Fuck it. I will be so pissed off if this comes out the same day of GTA 6. I won't get mad at Nintendo if they slate because I'm not I'm just not going to do it then. I'm not playing Ocarina. If they put it out the same day as GTA 6 and I don't think I'm alone. Yeah. Yeah. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina time was released on November 21st, 1998 in Japan, followed by North American release November 23rd. So not expecting those dates, but that would be kind of cool. That would be really cool. There is GTA to keep in mind though. I honestly, I don't think Nintendo gives a fuck. I don't think they give a single fuck about GTA 6. I think that they should. I don't think they do. Yeah. So I think that there is a chance it comes out on November 19th. No. But I don't think that's the like I don't I think there's a chance. I don't think they would shy away from it. I don't think that's what's going to happen though. My money is on November 12th. I like that. Yeah. And then down
for that. Yeah. Yeah. It's that. That's a big November. That's fun. Oh, yeah. It's. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That might be one of the biggest November's of all time. Yeah. In fact, arguably that's the biggest November of all time video game releases with just those two games. Yeah. I mean, maybe it was 98 though, but either way. Yeah. This is exciting. Let's talk more about the game. We've done this a million times at this point. But what are you expecting from Ocarina of Time remake? I don't know, man. At this point, I'm welcoming anything that you got. I don't expect it to be a reimagining. I think it's going to be very close to what Star Fox was, right? It's going to you're going to play and you're going to go, okay, this is Ocarina at time. I think it's going to look way more pretty than the N64 Ocarina at time in the 3DS versions of Ocarina at time. But I think it's going to be pretty much the same game with some added features. I think there's going to be neat things added there. Maybe you get some extra unique story stuff that have to do with side characters. Maybe you get an extra dungeon if we're getting crazy with it. I don't think it's going to be. I don't think
you're going to boot up the game and it's going to feel like Final Fantasy 7 remake, for example. I fully agree and I intend to very inconsistent when it comes to the way it titles bringing back old games, remakes, reimaginings, remasters, whatever it is. When we look at things like Metroid Prime, Paper Mario 1000, your door, Star Fox, there's no real consistency. But the way that they're titling this and the look at the logo that we saw, it makes me think the most of Paper Mario 1000, your door. So I think it's going to be that type of remake where it's like, yeah, it is much prettier and very faithful to what the original game was. And there is some new stuff, but it's not a whole new game. And I'm totally okay with that. I think that's going to be awesome for Legend of Zelda Ocarina at time. My biggest request that I am fairly confident they'll do. I want it to be a fully orchestrated soundtrack. Yeah, that will go. I can see that so far for the Ocarina of Time songs like we were just talking about like they have some all-timer tracks
there. And I want that thing recorded at Abbey Road. You want this thing to be like nominated for an Oscar for again. Yeah. And Nintendo does that, man. Like they did it for Mario Galaxy. They did it for Tears, the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild Mario Kart. I was saying, you know how hard the kart world. I think that that is the level of gravitas that Ocarina of Time deserves. I 100% agree. Now you mentioned Paper Mario in the Thousand Year Door. And obviously when we talk about remakes, they call them all shapes and sizes. Are you thinking closer to that than a Star Fox? Because I feel like for me, Star Fox is like the clear analog for how you would go about it. Because when I think of Ocarina this version, I think all new assets. And I'm sure. That's what the Paper Mario is too. Paper Mario, okay. I think the thing is Paper Mario, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is a dream game in terms of how it was remade. The one exception is it's not 60 frames per second. That is a problem. Where's the Switch 2 edition? Y'all can fix this. But besides that, it's like the looks of it. It's it is.
Tell you remember the game looking. It's how you want the game to look. What a beautiful art style. But what if we improve the lighting times a thousand? Okay. And I added to the vibes of it. And I think that is what Ocarina is going to do. Also, there was all those rumors of monoliths soft. Yeah. And involved it, which we predicted a long time ago. And that simply makes sense. Now you have just went down one of the most important video game holes of your life. The X hole. Yeah. And you know now what a monolith world can look like. Yeah. What's that do for you in terms of Zelda? I mean, that does so much. Right. I mean, that gives you big expectations. I think regarding these things, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I want to be in Hyrule field. Obviously, or original Ocarina, you're in Hyrule field and you can see deathmountain. You can see certain landmarks by the way the games design and obviously are those landmarks. JPEGs probably has been a while since I played Ocarina, but I don't remember them being that high fidelity. I would expect those same landmarks to look amazing from Hyrule field when you look around. And so I would expect that. I think for me,
I want Hyrule field to look and feel alive. I want the floor and finally to pop right. I want the grass to look like grass. And obviously it has to. You're not going to have the fucking JPEGs. The flat assets that you would on an N64. I might be wrong in saying that somebody please correct me. But I think that literally Ocarina of time more often than not ran at like 20 frames per second. It was such a creamy game. Yeah, but that's what N64 kind of. And monolith, monolith soft. It was incredible playing Xenoblade on Switch 2 and streaming it and being like me and they fit all this on the Wii and people in chat were like, not only do they fit all this on the Wii, but like the Wii version also looked great. It's not like the Wii version looked ugly as hell. It's like, no, they're just that. Which gaming time? I see no black Chronicles. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's like, that's a game that is a technical marvel when you think about what they built it for and how well they're able to make it pop visually. And so it makes me excited, especially. How much do we know
if they're working on Ocarina? Because I know they're working on legends, legends, all the thing. It's rumored. It's just rumored. But it's it's a you can confirm it. But remember Nintendo just doesn't confirm what teams are working on anything ever. You people need to see the credits and go from there. Because my other question, not to get us away from Ocarina, but do we get a news all to announce? Well, let's move on from Ocarina. I don't think there's anything else to say, right? Yeah. Like, I mean, I guess, I guess the big question would be like, what's the price on this? Is this a star Fox $40 type remake or is this a $70 game or is this an $80 game? I think $70 this week. I think $70 to. Yeah. The fact that it's a remake, I know it's a monumental game, but it being a remake, I think, kind of makes it tough for that $80 price mark. But you know how many hours we were going to get out of this game, right? This is being framed as a big fall release. I think you get it full price. Yeah. So, movie. I'll comment on how you
I think we get a trailer. I think so too. I think we get the name. I know. And I think I think the music plan in that trailer, we're going to recognize it. Oh, yeah. And I don't know what song. Maybe it's just the traditional Zelda theme. I mean, that's awesome. Yeah. Or orchestrated, of course. I can't wait, man. I am so hyped for that moment. I really hope that it's a new subtitle. I agree. I wanted to be something that we've never heard before that adds to what the legend of Zelda is. And I'm fairly confident that that's what's going to happen. You know, so I'm going to ask you what are the chances of certain things, right? What are the chances the trailer ends that you get colon, Ocarina of Time? I think that the chances are 25% 25% what are the chances that it is just called the legend of Zelda? 50% Do you think if it's called the legend of Zelda that in the trailer, we get the vibe of, oh, this is the original game like he walks into a cave and a guy gives us a sword. No, I just don't know. It's just called the legend of Zelda. I think it'll be an amalgamation of a
lot of familiar things from the different games and different eras. Okay. Um, but yeah, I'm really hopeful that it's just a new subtitle, but I think that's a 25% Do you think we get what are the chances you think it's called linked to the past? At this point, I say zero. I think it's going to be a new subtitle, the legend of Zelda or Ocarina of Time. What would make you not as happy as far as the direction they go with it, the Zelda that they choose to adapt or the way they choose to adapt it. There's anything that you would be like, I wouldn't have wanted that way. No, that yeah, I think so. I think it's the weird thing where like I Zelda is so, Zelda isn't linear as far as like how you need to try to get this linear in the fact that Skyward Sword is kind of the genesis or whatever, right? But you can kind of jump in anywhere for the most part. There are places where it'd be weird to jump
in if it was called twice princess or whatever, but yeah, you can for me, you could do Ocarina linked to the past, just Zelda or a new subtitle and any of it kind of makes sense to me. I guess I'm excited for any of it. I would be most disappointed if it was Ocarina of Time of my options because I think that that's setting itself up to fail. That's setting itself up for comparison. They don't need to do that. They can just avoid that. We've seen it with fallout versus last of us. You know what I mean? Mario Galaxy, even I think. I think if Mario Galaxy was just the Super Mario Brothers movie two, yeah, I think it would have been better received. Interesting. You know, I can see that. And I wouldn't solve all that movie's problems, but I do think it would have went a decent way because yeah, people were mad that it wasn't great at adapting what makes galaxies so special to the people. But with Zelda, I think that's stuff especially live action. I think a lot more serious. And also, I just don't have faith that you can cover Ocarina of Time in one movie. Oh, interesting. You know, makes it more exciting for me.
Get to do two movie Ocarina. Well, that'd be great, but I just I don't think that that's what you know, yeah, they wouldn't do it that way. But oh, man, we're close. Yeah, I think we get a lot of casting announcements. Yeah, I think they do similar to how they did with Mario where they're like, all right, and you have they talk about I was going to say chic forget that they we know who Zelda is and so I actually want to get spoilers, but I wonder, yeah, who else is in the saw Impa, right? Oh, yeah, we did. A woman from Severance. Yeah, which is freaking awesome. This is really cool. Yeah, you're going to get some Zora character. They move. Uh-oh. Come on, prepare yourself. What was the name of the actress that played Gamora? Zoe Saldana. She's like, she'd be a great Zora, but I think that's just because you're just as always. She's blue. She's great. She's even. Yeah, you played great. I forgot she was an average. Yeah. Yeah. And then we just got the the get-endorf casting, right? Yeah. Was that official or was that just I think that was a I think it was a special. I look great.
Yeah, man, I am all the way high for this. But then what else? New Zelda. Now now it's now in development. Now in development. Okay. I'm going to say two new Zeldas, but whatever the big new one is, now in development. And then we're going to get a top down Zelda, I think. I don't know if we're ready for that. Really? The awakening was 2019. Yeah. That goes to wisdom was when 2020. That was recent for four. I think it was four. Yeah. I that's what if it's what if it's what if it's like something we look to the past remake. I don't know that you want to be doing that. Or swords adventure. Yeah, something weird like that. I mean, that's awesome. But I don't think you do that so close to the Ocarina remake. I'm seeing the nursery. Yeah. They don't go that hard, though. You know what I mean? I think I wouldn't expect a bunch of game announcements. But I mean, it is the 40th. We Ocarina is already announced. Like if they had not announced Ocarina, and this was the first time we saw it. Yeah. That'd be one thing. But like they could announce there's also rumors of
a the next major Zelda game being the third game to use the same open air concept as breath of wild and twilight princess or not. Tears that have been going around. But the rumors aren't implying that it's the third game in that series. Just yeah, that it'd be a new Lincoln Zelda new high roll or different place. But it's still the same like gameplay loop. Game play loop. So I can see a now in development type thing being announced there. There's always the chance of twilight princess and we're weaker. Yeah, I keep forgetting about that. Yeah, I mean, Jeff grubb said it 10 years ago. Yeah, it's gonna happen. And I do believe it will happen. I agree. There's no reason it wouldn't. So yeah, but link between worlds getting ported. I feel like that has to happen at some point. That's at some point. I don't know that that's now, though. Yeah, I don't know. It's exciting. I'm excited. A lot of things that could happen. I mean, maybe there's like a weird Zelda maker or a Zelda 99. Oh, that'd be, you know, something.
Some three switch online thing. Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. Actually, Zelda 40. They're gonna do it. I just want to know what that is. What's that look like? 40 swords and adventures. Yeah, let's move on to the direct regular direct, dust floods. Yeah, you get a release state. Yeah, January is what I'm gonna say. I think we get it in January. I like that. Because I think that game is soon, but I think because of how the schedules net it out. Like just don't release it this year. I don't think there's any point of releasing it this year. January right now is, I mean, no time is free. But for Nintendo, I feel like they got space there. Yeah, yeah. No, I like that. I don't have the highest expectations for the direct, but I think that's just because there's so much going on right now that like I'm not clamoring. I'm not feeling a need for anything from Nintendo. Like, but I guess I got the top of my head. I don't think there's anything that I'm
super stoked for in the first three months of next year. So like there is room. So okay, I gotta look it up. One of the Nintendo games announced. So of course, you talk about Zeno Blade, Genesis. Winds and waves, but that's oh yeah, we're not gonna hear that here. I think next time we hear about that, we'll be Pokemon Day next February. Man, I did not know Nintendo has a whole page. This is just called releases. We can kind of track everything. But these are previous. Yeah. Oh, Marty Pixel says Kirby in the forgotten land too. Yeah. You got it. It's been a while. I feel like Kirby always has games coming out at all times. And it's been too long. It's been way too long. Yeah. Kirby's been so forgotten land to switch to addition that did have added content was last year, which in some ways makes me think like, well, that team was working on that added content. So maybe they're not ready for the next game to be shown. But maybe they are. But the chat bringing up two things. Yeah. Very important things that are both Metroid.
Oh. Super Metroid remake that has been rumored. It's supposedly a pixel based remake, which I'm interested in what that could be. But then also Metroid ravenous. Yeah. It's equal to dread. Yeah. Let's go. When do we get it? They don't sit. They just say 2027. Yeah. Metroid is a type of game that can come out at any time. Yeah. Like if they are doing both of those, I could see like, March for Super Metroid and then like a October for Metroid ravenous. Yeah. I'd be very exciting. I'm reading Mario. I just don't feel it in my book. I feel like right now is not the time. Yeah. It's Zelda time right now. Don't you don't want to talk about Zelda, Ocarina and do a big blow out for that. And then talk about a 3D Mario. I think if that's next year, just talk about in February. I don't even feel like it's next year. I feel like that might be a 2028 thing. And so in that case, you hold it off for summer or the next September direct. Yeah. Then there's Animal Crossing. I don't think we hear a peep.
My thing about Animal Crossing is I think they want as many Switch 2s as possible out there before they put the the game out. Yeah. And I think that I imagine we see a 3D Mario before Animal Crossing. I, ooh, I agree. Yeah, I agree with that. Now Mario Kart World. I said a couple days ago. I am never going to confidently predict that we're going to see Mario Kart World DLC ever. We will see it. I don't know when. I'll call to you one crazy. Mario Kart 8 DLC. When I tell you when they announced eight player split screen, I think I read that new story five times before I realized that they were talking about Mario Kart 8. I thought that was world. Because why would they update Mario Kart 8 like that? You must have not listened to games daily. No, I did. This is amazing news. I'm very excited about it. Yeah. There was a big chance they would have just never gave a Switch 2 patch to Mario Kart 8. This is just them doing that.
And then they're like, fuck it. Let's have some fun and like do things that they probably have been trying to do forever, but the Switch 1 couldn't do. Yeah. It's not like they're adding a ton of stuff. It was just weird little tweaks and then this eight player split screen thing. But now we get 4k. Now we get like all these updates for the definitive Mario Kart. And they also did this for Pikmin 3. They are starting to finish off games that are Switch 1 games that could either get a Switch 2 edition with extra content or just a patch, right? Dude, please just do it. Give me something. I'm starving out here. So it's like, I just don't know what it is. The fact that like that wasn't just in the last week. Here's a patch for Smash. It's now 4k. It's now all this stuff. It's like two edition baby. I want to see. And like I, he was the problem with the Smash 2 Switch 2 edition is that my hopes and dreams have gotten too big because what you don't say those words. Subspace, I'm a series. Don't say the words. Subspace, I'm a series. Like give me like an extra mode because it was not going to just be characters.
I mean, I hope it's care. I mean, my thing is, like, characters is crazy. I think it'll just be just be character. Maybe some levels, maybe some, I do not see them making a full-ass Subspace adversary mode. I think it's just that's a new game. That sure. They don't need to do that. I'm going to take that dream and throw it out, right? But yeah, Smash Ultimate Switch 2 edition, you would expect what, five new characters? I love it. New stages, like you mentioned, new spirits. I mean, yeah, come on. New soundtrack of, or new songs, of course. But I feel like there's one more thing in there. The biggest thing about Smash is that they need to put out a version of it that has everything. Like they haven't done the like Smash with DLC, buy it in stores. Uh-huh. They'll sell so many copies and they know that. Smash Ultimate Ultimate. That's the problem is what do you even call it? I know. Just kidding. No, no, does not give a fuck about adding pluses with insane names to their games and new boxarts look like shit. So do you know the full name for the Xenoblade port on Switch 2? I believe it's called Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Love that. They have a dinner there twice. Why not? Insane stuff. Good. Good. Let's look at some super chats here before we move on to other stories. Opponents Prime says movie trailer, Ocarina, what else ports, collaborations is too early for a Grezzo Zelda theme park ride, Zelda maker. Yeah, man. Like come on. Those are possible. James in says just a friendly reminder, fucked on all Trump and his administration putting for putting up horrific video game ads. Amen. Kyle says the motif of Nintendo's YouTube background for the Zelda Direct matches the Zelda Edition Switch 2 leaks. It's real Tim. I don't need it. I don't need it. I need it. Yeah, we'll see that. The official Switch 2 Zelda Edition and pro controller officials. Oh, the Switch. I guess which you want. It leaks already. We've seen it like a month, but like that's cool. That's going to be real. Yeah. The Tandox says my friend sought GTA 6 coverage, but wasn't happy with how other outlets covered it. I introduced him to y'all and he said, you're by far the best
citing your enthusiasm and genuine passion for games. Oh, hell yeah. Thank you so much. And he's spreading the word is the coolest thing you could possibly do. Yeah. Thank you for doing that. Cherish with your friends. Mr. Persons says, do you think the Zelda Switch that got leaked will bundled with Ocarina like they've been doing? Or do you think it's just the Switch tears of the kingdom? That's a good question. I think you got to bundle it. I think I think they'll be a bundle. I don't think you're saving much money if any. No, it's just you could buy them together. Yeah. And nostalgic account says the Tundra Direct will be better than the recent state of plays. You think so? I'd be a very upset if they weren't. Yeah. Like again, it's all about timing of where we're out of like what we need answered. And like I think the state of play answered what I expected them to. I didn't expect to hear about intergalactic. Yeah. It would have been awesome too. But I didn't expect to hear it's like Nintendo has a barely open next couple months and they've been filling those out with these directs. So if they didn't do that, I will be disappointed. I expect them to though. Yeah. I think my expectations are higher for the for the directs
than they were for the state of plays. But I think that's also just where I'm at with Nintendo versus where I'm at with PlayStation where I'm just I'm more excited for Nintendo shit right now currently that I am for PlayStation shit. I think that also probably opens it up for me to be more disappointed if they don't deliver. But that's how it goes. That's how it goes. Yeah. Cabab says I predict Sam Neil is tingle his final role. That is interesting. I mean, the tingle part. I don't know about that. But like, yeah, I wonder if we'll see Sam Neil in this and I wonder who is in a play. Yeah. Caleb says birthday tax my birthday while vinyl's out for delivery and my biggest personal hope for the Zelda directs the announcement of a new symphony tour. Dude, you're going to love the vinyl. It's very, very cool. Happy birthday. And oh my god, please, please give me another symphony tour. Yeah. I've never done the Zelda ones. Oh, really? It's just there. I've always been traveling or something for both of the symphony of the goddess tours. So I'm going to get it. I need it. On Chad says shout out from the gym. Have you all listened to the new? Our face Tom Hardy album. It's a banger. I had only watched the one video
and I'm like, this shouldn't be this good. Oh, it's really good. I've been listening to it. It's really good. I'll also give a shout out Beyonce dropped B day, the 20th anniversary edition, which won crazy that it's been 20 years. You were a placeable came out 20 years ago. To the left to the left was 20 years ago. Halo. No, Halo was the album after. Okay. That was a Sasha. Not really years. Thank God. Yeah. That's more like 18. So yeah. But really great new songs added. There's like a run of songs on there. I'm like, Oh, come on. That's awesome. Yeah. Graham says we're expecting our third child in November. So as much as I am ready for GTA, if Akirina drops the same dare close enough, I'm choosing that for my sleep insanity. In any case, we eat and Hell yeah, Graham. Congrats again. Can't wait for that. Love your beautiful family. Joshy Fox is Akirina will now have voice acting. Yeah. That is another. That's an interesting one. I hope it does personally. I don't need links to talk, but voice acting. Yeah. With the amount of stuff like I'm a fan of voice acting. Just pretty much hard stop here. Yeah. And not everyone agrees.
That's cool. I'm different than you then. That's sure. I feel that. I mean, I would like voice acting. I think I just I know I do not expect it at all. Outpeats a bit on it actually. Yeah. Would you pizza bit on it? No, I don't expect it. I just want it. Okay. Banderous sense is over under 1.5 new first party switch one games. Switch one. When you are we talking on games that come out cross. Yeah. Well, yeah, probably. Probably a dodgy life, right? I'm a dodgy life. Things like that. Yeah. Yeah, I think we'll get one. I think we'll get one. Yeah, I think we get I think we get zero actually. I'm going to say zero. Yeah. Uh, a lot where EVC says there was VO in the trailer. It was just narration. But like that, I want that. That was awesome. That added so much. Boom to yeah. I just get scared. I think,
I think, because I think Nintendo is scared about changing too much because Ocarina is such a sacred work of art. And I think if you don't nail the voice acting, then. But I mean, here's the thing. Yeah. Again, I people can disagree. They nailed it in tears. The kingdom and breath of the wild. Sure. Yeah. And Dorf, right? What's funny is I forgot that game had voice acting. But I thought it was good. Yeah. You know, and it added to it all. So you would say cut scene voice acting. We're not talking about like your talk. Just regular dialogue when you like just talk. I don't know that. Yeah. I don't think every single line of dialogue needs to be read. But I do think there's you know what? Okay. I could see it. I can see cut scene dialogue. Yeah. Um. Tyler says, by weird prediction, a spin off game, we play as Ganondorf rising in power within the Gerudo's. Interesting. Uh, Dexter says, is there a chance we see Resident Evil DLC and code Veronica? Slim, but like Resident Evil stuff has been popping up in Nintendo Direct. They got an amiibo. Yeah. So I wouldn't bet on it, but like potentially. Yeah. It'd be rad to see
Veronica show up here. Yeah. And a DLC for Requiem. Yeah. Like, where is that? Like it may like, are they really going to wait until next year? That's kind of wild. Yeah. There's no way. Uh, shoemaker says Tomadachi and rhythm have been were shown one year plus prior to launch as well. But likely we're trying to show switch one was still getting games after switch two. Yeah, I'm mainly talking about the switch two side of things. But that is true from the Nintendo publishing side. Uh, Xplex has silk song, see of sorrow at the direct. Wouldn't bet on it, but there is a chance. Yeah. Uh, Shubby says, speaking of vinyl team, did you pre-order the Final Fantasy 10 25th anniversary vinyl? Uh, no, I didn't. I had to make the call not to. I just I'm buying too much stuff, man. Dude, I, I'm not going to say what it is, but Greg told me about like a piece of hardware we're getting sent here. And I, I'm like, I actively don't want to take it home. I think I was the only person that expressed any interest. And Greg was like, you can take it home over the weekend. I'm like, in my head, I'm like, there's no way I'm taking this home. I don't know where I'm going to put this.
Too much stuff. Uh, and then he also says, Blast, when we return into Spira. One day, I believe you one day. I believe you will. I think my next Xenoblade experience is going to be a much more call it China Genesis. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And then I'll probably go back and play others. Yeah. Story number two. Microsoft announces big changes to Xbox Cloud Gaming, switches to monthly hour limits. This comes from Wesleyan Pool at IGN. Microsoft has announced big changes to its cloud gaming. From November, game pass plans will include a set number of cloud gaming hours each month. Ultimate gets you 15 hours. Premium gets you 10 hours. Essential gets you five hours. One subscribers use their included hours that can buy additional cloud play time through the Xbox store. Currently, game pass subscribers can stream without these monthly hour limits. The change means those who use cloud gaming most for the game pass will end up having to pay more. Although Microsoft said this impacts 4% of game pass subscribers. Also in November, Microsoft said the players will be able to buy cloud play time hours through the
Xbox store and stream eligible games on they own on their own supported devices without subscribing to game pass in a blog post. They said it was making the changes because the cost of providing cloud gaming's grown is more people use it and play for longer. The monthly limits Microsoft continued will mean it can invest in reliability and performance. I'll fucking believe it when I see it, but it said it understood that for some players, the practical result is a higher cost. Expect more information on pricing, purchasing additional hours, eligible games, market availability, and how players can check the remaining time in November. Microsoft also said it'll keep a close eye on feedback and may tweak the offering before the changes come in. Oh, man, this sucks. This world sucks. This is the future. There's no avoiding it. And I hate that. I'll be honest, this is a new story that is so I'm so not the target audience for not because the Xbox thing, but mainly because the cloud gaming thing. We talk about cloud gaming all the time. And when we talk about video game business, I understand the shift that all these companies are making toward cloud because hardware is getting more and more expensive. You've kind of reached
the amount of people already as well that that would buy a console. And so they're trying to reach people now that just have TVs, phones, any sort of screen we want to speak to those people. So I understand I understand why they're going after cloud streaming that way. I don't know from the consumer side people that are super into cloud gaming like that. And like I could be just weight off in terms of the people that are around me and my own personal experience. I mean, I am. Yeah, I'm super into it. Oh, you personally, right? Oh, yeah. Okay. But like as a supplemental thing, mainly like, okay, I love being able to continue playing my games on my upstairs TV when I don't have the Xbox up there. You know, it's like just like having that luxury. I use it all the time. And I get a bunch of different ways. And I love the portal. I love streaming to my steam deck. There's just a lot of use cases that in a supplemental fashion, make things great. On top of that, I'm a huge evangelist of Nvidia GeForce now, where playing a lot of games on the steam deck at max settings and stuff is amazing. That also has
a time limit. And that also is very unfortunate. But for Xbox to be doing this now, it's like this, I think, is super rough for them because their cloud streaming service is not up to snuff in my opinion. And I think it's easily outclassed by multiple other cloud services. It does have a bunch of pros, including having the ecosystem of play anywhere and having the game pass catalog and just the the library that it has. And so many people are in now. It was the play even more games and adding their disc to digital. Then you get to stream it, whatever. It's like, there's just like a lot of good stuff going. But like, man, the cost going up and having limits like this, it's just not good. It's not like good news, right? Like this is I think just the beginning, you saying like, oh, you're not that into this and it doesn't affect you. Whatever makes sense. But it's this type of decision making that inevitably is going to affect you eventually when all this really is is, hey, they're asking more for less. Oh, for sure. And I think that's the thing that sucks about it, right? I'm not looking at this and go in like ignoring or whatever. But it's more so the I want to know how many people are
affected directly in the way of like what percentage of players are doing the cloud gaming thing. Because I know we talk about it all the time. I feel like I don't see it in action all the time. But hearing they use it is actually good for me understanding that because I think that does make sense of the use case of, oh, I have two TVs. I'm going to go to this room, play more. I think I just think about the fact that because of how unique our jobs are, I play games at work all the time. But most people don't play games at work. And so it's like, where would you play games? But even for me, like I play games at work and you're making a very good point. Yeah. Even for me, I do stream often from my desk. Sure, sure, sure. Stop that I have at home. But I'm like, you know, I like my AY and Thor, that's my pocket. Because guess what? If I go on the bar, I don't need a connection. I'm just playing games and I mean, if I fly if I do whatever, the places that I would play games away from home, I can't do my I can't play my PlayStation portal there. That's why it's collecting dust. You know what I mean? Like, yeah. How often are people traveling to where they're at a hotel playing the cloud gaming? Yeah. And I'm talking about like, I'm asking everybody for their very specific. Exactly. Exactly. Which I'm sure people have them. But it's hard for me to
understand like the amount of people that this affects. I mean, we know that the PlayStation portal sold surprisingly well. And I think that that really, I think it's the bulk of their audience. I would be surprised to find out is not parents. That's what it is. It's like, I'm sneaking into gaming here and there. We can't use the TV right now for whatever reason. Like it's that type of situation. Which is very common as gaming starts getting older and older and there are older, more older people playing games than ever before. Yeah. Right. But should we start? Should we expect this from other cloud stream? I guess you said our Nvidia already does it with. Yeah. Yeah. Is PlayStation do this? No, but they will. They probably will. Yeah. So I mean, that's just the future, right? Like y'all don't want to hear this. And I just I get it. But cloud gaming is the future. And with that, we're seeing the stepstones be put down right now to make it viable for business for people. And it's like, yeah, it sucks. There's going to be a lot of bullshit that comes with that. Yeah. I kind of hope it's not the future. I don't I don't I actually don't believe in it being
the future. I mean, I think they're going to try and make it the future because it makes business sense for the reason I mentioned earlier. I just don't think people like it. Doesn't matter. Yeah. That's not the choice to be had. Think about music. It's streaming. Yeah, but music's not video games. Like streaming music actually does provide more utility for me because I know. I know. I'm saying when we look at the history of music and how music spend distributed, then you look at the history of video games, video games are just behind. It will get there. Music movies, video games. Can you imagine streaming TV? Can you imagine streaming movies? That's crazy. Yeah, but those things require reaction time. You know what I mean? Like those things aren't directly. It's getting better and better. And also they don't give a fuck. I'm not saying like, oh, man, this is optimal. I'm just saying it's like, oh, yeah, it's happening. Like, and again, when Netflix was renting DVDs, it felt crazy to imagine that you could stream TVs. So TV shows movies. And now it's like, yeah, that's now physical discs are dying. Sure. Yeah. So it's like it fucking sucks, but we're there. Let's get to story number three.
Naughty Dog is not done with the last of us. The studio is not involved with HBO shows. Third season. This comes from Ryan McCaffrey at IGN. Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann says that neither he nor the studio are involved with the third season of the HBO adaptation of the beloved video game, but says the developer isn't done with the franchise yet. Speaking to Washington Post, Druckmann said, I wasn't involved in shaping this season's creative direction. And Naughty Dog did not have a creative role in the direction of the season. So I can't personally speak to how production's progressing. He then pretty clearly suggested that Naughty Dog will take on future projects in the last of us universe. The whether that's a proper the last of us part three, a resurrection of the cancelled last of us online or something else remains to be seen. It's important for us to note that as the creator of the games, Naughty Dog still the steward of this IP. And even though this might be the end of this adaptation, the added referring to HBO's third season, we're not done with the last of us. There's a couple projects in the works that when the time is right, I'm very excited to talk about. Hell yeah, I can't wait to play the next last of us game when I am 45 years old and
I have grandchildren. Yeah. I won't have grandchildren. But like man, I'm going to be 45. But man, like I'm I'm excited that they hold last of us is something that they continue to see a vision for and they want to make more games in the future. I'm down for another last of us game. Actually, am I down for another? I guess I am down for I like last of us. I think I was thinking about last was two yesterday. Because like I did a stream where I was ranking the IGN 10 out of my 10s and like teering them. And I got the last was two. And I have like such a conflicted feeling about that game because I think that game is a technical masterpiece as far as what they were to do with the tech of it with the gameplay of it and then also just the fidelity of it. That is one of the best looking video games to this day for something came out in 2020. But it's a game that also exhausted me when I think about the story and when I think about like the subject matter and the cycle of violence and how deeply dove into that. I hope when they revisit last was
or they when they return to last of us that I don't know because I don't know what I hope for. I hope they continue to have a message that they stand on and I hope they continue to deliver something that they're like, yo, we believe in this. We want to do it. I also hope that residents with me more. Because last was two story didn't all the way resonate with me. And I know a lot of people feel similarly in a range of ways. Some of those people toxic, but you get what I mean. I'm very curious to see how they tackle the next one. I think you said that very, very well where I'm on the opposite side of you where I really love last of us two. Yeah. But I am with you that I don't need more of that. Like I like that last of us one was a very complete vision with themes and ideas. Yeah. So it was two. They were different. I'd love to see whatever three is just full on. This is the vision. This is the story. This is what we're going for and commit to it whether or not people are going to like it. It's like we're making something here. Last of us, I do think has the potential to be a bit more because of the type of stories that I'm trying to tell
which is really deeply human. Yeah. And not every game tries to do that. Other games do. But last of us does. Yeah. Talk about last of us. So last of us one, I think I love, love, love, last of us one because of how hopeful it is as a post apocalyptic story. Last of us two, of course, dives more into sort of the rage sort of that again, that cycle of violence and it I think deeply human is a great way to describe it because that's the thing that both those games do have in common is that they're diving into humanity and the ways in which that manifests in the environment that they're in. I hope in a classic trilogy fashion, we kind of get a natural circle around back into doesn't necessarily have to be hopeful, but I hope it's not a deeper dive into like those negative aspects of it. I want to see a curve there. I want to see us make a turn and land in a place that feels a bit more that gives me a bit more satisfaction with it. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, and I personally, I'm happy this is happening. I love the world. Last of us. I want to see more. I love
90 dog. The statements about 90 dog and drunken in not being involved at all in season three. Very interesting. I don't know how much to read into that or not. Like there's, you know, some very clear subtext there, but he's also directing intergalactic. So he doesn't have time to do that. So drunken is he keeps himself super busy and I'm I'm excited about him being more focused on the video game side because I want to see his video games come out. Yep, eventually. Story number four, the White House launches arcade.gov, a mini game site where you'll catch immigrants build detetress border wall and only kids. Trump accounts with Bitcoin. This comes from Tom Phillips at IGN Donald Trump's White House is launch arcade.gov. The site's mini games were if on existing ideas such as flappy bill and obvious parody of flappy bird, which asks players to keep the bill in the air while flying through the Capitol. Real run meanwhile asks you to patrol the line along the river pick up every crosser. It's essentially snake is a bunch of other stuff. This is the type of fucking story that I'm just like, I hate it. I hate even reading details on it.
I mean, we should like it's like it's just fucking nonsense, man. The site has been advertised on social media with videos parodying the console startup animations for the PlayStation 2 Xbox 360 and Nintendo Gamecube as well as the logo of Sega here edited to spell out mega. Fuck this. Yeah. This is dumb. This should get taken down. Nintendo, Sega, flappy bird man, everybody should sue. Everyone should get riled up and upset about this. And we see it keep happening. We see the same bullshit using so many different pop star songs and the pop stars are like fucking stop this. Yeah. You don't stand with this disgusting vile shit. Yeah. I think the feeling that you have reading this and the feeling that our viewers and listeners have listening to it, I think that's something that people should sit with and remind themselves of this is what we're dealing with here. We're talking about the US government and the people at the top and how they're weaponizing pop culture and in this scenario video games, which is our
domain, which is why we talk about it here, how they're weaponizing it to spread messages like this message is of hate that of course should discuss all of us. But I know for a fact there's so many people in the video game ecosystem that see something like this and they cheer it on. And that's something that I don't want to get lost in this, right? Like, I video game culture is a culture that I love so much because we have moments of getting to talk about Nintendo and get hype about the next ocarina, right? Me and you get to bask in the goodness of song to hedgehog every now and then and we get to have these fuzzy moments that make us feel warm because we love video games so much. However, video games video game culture is still a place that is hostile to so many different people from so many different demographics. Basically, if you're not a white dude, you know what I mean? When you go through the different mini games they have here, it's very much, oh yeah, we're rounding up immigrants like if you go if you think about the policies and the ideologies of the people that
support this shit, it is they are coming at it from fuk trans people, fuk black people, fuk people of color, you know, how can we lessen women's rights? That's what we're dealing with here and they're looking at video games as a way to further further that message. And so to the audience, I'll say take that all in, think about ways in which we can fight against this, be disgusted by it and know that there are people around that are in our communities that share these feelings and we have to do something about that. I don't know what all I don't know what those steps are necessarily, but I do know it's speak up. I do know it's have conversations with those people and tell them that they're wrong and show them that they're wrong. Cap, can you show the Twitter account this is from the White House. Yeah. It's like adding on to what you're saying. It's like this is the message from the White House's official communications and this is what they're pushing. This is what they they're galvanizing their cords of sickos with. Fukin sucks. Absolutely. I ban.
Disgusting. Also, I never want to see Sega spelled out his mag ever again. No. That's with Green Hill's own plan. That's disgusting. That's the you don't do that to Sonic the headshot. Sonic the fuck away from him. Let's go to weeners. I don't even have a guy's dish there. Are you going to say Sonic is big? So we're going to say. Sonic got that neck off. I don't think Sonic being a little bit fuck out. Sonic will drop like Robotnik. Would be so big. We so big. So huge. Oh man. Here we are. From the game business PS5 sales jump 33% following the Netflix GTA video. Rockstar confirms the sprint button in GTA 6 is not tapped to sprint with X. It's L3. We've won. I don't think so. I hate this. I want to tap X spread there. I don't want to hit L3. I want to press L3. This is for you. So fucking funny. I want to press X. I'm going to change the controls if I can. Tap, tap, tap so you can get that like. God. Yeah.
The remake of the original Witcher games on hold for now while it's developer focuses on the Witcher 3's upcoming expansion that comes from the VGC. A new Lollipop chain saw game will be playable at TGS 2026. Crazy. Samson launches September 21st on Xbox and PS5. And from Mario 64, you've just opted out that Steam Deck support for 4 Honor will end September 10th. Until users continue playing using Xbox cloud gaming. Why? That's a good question. Steam Deck support? Well, for Honor will end. I didn't know Steam Deck support was like a thing as far as like I thought once you're supported for Steam Deck it's done. We're going to make it unoptimizes. Go play it through cloud gaming. That's weird. I don't like it. The same cloud gaming. I got a spend extra money back to play. That's pretty timing. That's it for we news. Kyle LeBuff says as a frequent user of cloud gaming usage limits are the standard, but just 15 included hours for top tier of game passes wild.
Yeah, 15's insane. Like G force now, ultimate. I'm pretty sure is 100. There are weird limits where it's like there's throttling of too many people are using it. And there's like premium like lines and fuse and stuff, but that's them trying to manage. Not ideal, but damn yeah, 15's not much. Yeah. People in chat are mentioning DRM, which makes sense actually of how this would happen. I think other people mentioned Linux. I guess maybe those are connected. Whatever DRM thing they're adding. I'm just ability says new 2D Metroid would be peak. I will die. Also, sorry if you all have already said this been locked into work, but will they ever re release win wake HD? I think that they will just no idea when. And yeah, come on, give me a dread follow up and call it ravenous. I love that so much. Especially with how dread ends. God, that'd be so sick. Levi says, bless put the midnight boys inspired Mulligan's episode on the gamescast calendar for late December. That was a great idea.
So midnight Mulligan's is what they do at the end of every year where they go back through all the things that they were viewing in scores on and they update their scores because obviously feeling changed over time. Like I want to revisit this. Actually, I was so high on in a launch. I'm not as high on it. I'm going to lower my score to an eight. The problem with us doing that is that we don't do a good job of recording our scores because I pitched this to Greg multiple times. And he's like, all right, then we got to write down our scores. And I don't think we just we would have to just figure out a way to organize it and make sure everybody remembers to update a sheet or whatever, but I don't know if there's any hope in that. I was. That's very funny. I. Oxpope says, is the final nail in the coffin for this is an Xbox seems like doubling down on hardware and consoles. Oh, man, if that's your takeaway on this, I. Everyone's lost. No one's more lost than Xbox, but everyone's lost. I just like this. Yeah, this is an Xbox. They've already. They're done with that marketing. Oh, they're done with that. But the reality is they're not done with it because they are pushing play anywhere and Xbox Cloud, which is available in more and more and more places.
So the don't involve hardware, but then they're also going to put out hardware and they're really focusing on it. And now there's exclusives again. We'll see, man. We will see. Yeah, I will tell you I don't have faith. I'll say this is what I'll say everybody's cooked, but good games keep coming out. And I for now, I'm focused on the good games now. You're a good games. There's so many good games that I can't play the other good games. Yeah, I can't play blood of the dawn walk. I can't play Zcom because there's so many home hands. Zcom's pretty good. I know. I've been trying to slow play a dents attack. That's a good game. What else I'm playing? Heart gold. Yeah, that's a really good game. Yeah, that's a really good game. Oh, man, here we go. Let's go to your wrong and see what we got to close out this beautiful show today. I'm playing Zcom later today on stream. Wow. That's exciting, everybody. Autonomous nervous. William says vinyl is plural because it's the medium. Vinyl is technically wrong, but become common. I'm aware this is a losing battle. Love your appreciation
for music. Tim, I appreciate the correction there. That is something that I every time I talk about vinyl, I always think of like, do I have an estu or not? So I'm letting you know, I will be inconsistent about it. This is something that I will not commit to memory. Maybe talking this out right now will help with that. But there's just some things I'm 37, dude. I've learned that I can't unlearn things. Oh, for sure. It's tough. Some things are just locked in. It's just locked and I'm just like, uh, I'd y'all have been giving Greg so much shit for the way he says the protagonist from the Witcher. And I'm just going to tell you that's how I will always refer to that man from now on because I don't want that smoke. I sometimes I look in the mirror and I just go Lucia Lucia Lucia and I will still a week from now. We're going to be talking about GTA 6. I'm still going to say Lucia. So I don't know. I don't know. Uh, Kabab says, awkward of time ran at a targeted 20 FPS. I repeat it targeted FPS and would drop below that. Man, let me tell you allegedly there's some games on this ayin Thor that we run in better than I've ever seen them run before in white
The screen. Oh, man. I love this thing. There we go. Well, everyone. That's been kind of funny games daily for Friday. Rappin up the week. Enjoy the video games. Stand for what's right. It's my style of summer here. I hope. What do you say? It's when he chats as you will summon her that I hope. Yeah. Exactly. Oh my god. Last night I show G the GTA 6 thing for the first time. And I had fun with it. She was just like, all right, Tim. Like, it's been, I know we've been busy. Like, I want to see this GTA thing that everyone's talking about. I'm like, okay, can you indulge me for 10 minutes before we do that? She's like, fuck it. Fine. I showed her a GTA 2 gameplay. And then I showed her the GTA 3 trailer. Then I jumped to GTA 4 to show the jump from Liberty City to Liberty City. Yeah. Then I went to GTA 5 just to be like, this is the last one. Yeah. Just like, dude, this looks really good. And it was the PS3 version. And I was like, yeah, yeah, it does. And I was like, okay, now I'm going to go back in time to show you the jump for the Miami. And I showed her the Vice City trailer. And she was like, oh my god, like seeing the jump back
really like put into perspective. And then I booted up the GTA 6. She couldn't believe it. Hell yeah. She just couldn't fucking fully. And once she couldn't believe it was Lucía. That was the one thing she couldn't believe. When we got to the point where she's bringing out the dresses. Yeah. She was just like, what? How is this a video game? And I'm like, oh man, video games are special. I love this so much. Well, everybody, enjoy your video games, enjoy your weekend. I love you. Goodbye. This episode is brought to you by Chat GPT.
