Northern Arizona saw a burst of strong winds on Wednesday, with some areas recording gusts approaching or exceeding 50 miles per hour, according to data collected across the region. The strongest winds were reported in Coconino County, where locations near Four Springs and Vermillion Cliffs reached around 50 mph, making them the highest recorded gusts in the state during this event. Several other spots in the county, including areas near Flagstaff and along Interstate 40, also saw widespread gusts in the mid-to-upper 40 mph range.
