President Trump has provided dramatic details on how the U.S. military scrambled to rescue

two members of a fighter jet that was shot down deep inside Iran.

In Pierce Gregg, my reports both are now safe and recovering from their injuries.

The president said 21 aircraft took part in a risky daytime mission to rescue the pilot

of the downed F-15.

Reaching the second crew member was even more harrowing.

Trump said 155 aircraft were involved.

Many sent far from the airman's actual location in order to confuse Iranians trying to capture

him.

The president said the Air Force Colonel was badly injured, but managed to reach a mountain

crevice well away from the crash site.

When he was rescued, two planes were waiting for him at a makeshift air strip on a farm.

But the planes were stuck in wet sand.

They were then blown up as lighter planes were called in to fly the Colonel out of Iran.

Gregg Myry MPR News, Washington President Trump sold tomato for Iran to reach a deal

At a Monday White House news conference, Trump said Iran could be taken out in one night,

and he repeated his threat to destroy all power plants and bridges if a deal is not

The Artemis 2 astronauts are now on a path back toward Earth after completing their trip

around the dark side of the moon, taking pictures and noting potential landing sites for future

Artemis missions, and in the process, breaking the distance record set by Apollo 13 in 1970
