The president says the U.S. needs to stay focused on winning the AI race. President Trump dismissed growing concerns of AI, charging that people are making up scenarios that will never happen. He argued that the real threat is falling behind. We're leading China in AI. We're the most sophisticated country in the world. And frankly, I want to keep it that way because whoever wins AI wins. Trump was asked about calls from our guardrails and a slowdown of industry advancements while he was attending the Irish Open at his golf club on the coast of Ireland. 1:02from measles. Her death comes as the U.S. is dealing with resurgence of the highly contagious virus, and Pierce-Christian right reports. Pennsylvania's Jefferson County Corner says the woman was 40 years old and a resident. He also confirms to NPR she was never vaccinated for the measles. Pennsylvania officials have now announced three deaths related to measles. The Lancaster County Corner said the first two were infants. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. initially said maybe the two deaths were fabricated. And now the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it needs to review the deaths and hasn't added them to its official count tracking fatal cases. No other states have announced measles deaths this year. Pennsylvania's health department reported a significant spike in the measles last week and a total of 676 cases across most counties. Ukrainian rail officials say a Russian drone struck a train near the border with Poland on Sunday shortly after several visiting officials, including from the U.K. and the U.S. passed through the station. About an hour or so later a Russian drone struck a locomotive in the very station the VIPs had passed through just on the Ukrainian side. Some passengers had been evacuated from trains and there were no reports of casualties. Ukraine's rail operator said it was quite likely Russia had targeted the diplomatic train because it had left the station earlier than planned. That's the BBC's James Landdale with our reports. North Korea says its military conducted a joint live-fire drill Monday. The drill involved missiles, artillery and drones. 3:06night after a plane he was traveling on made an emergency water landing on Lake Wasau. Wisconsin Public Radio's Hope Kerwin has our details. Republican Tom Tiffany said in a post on X that the single engine airplane lost power as it approached the Wasau downtown airport. The pilot made an emergency water landing in a lake just north of the runway. Tiffany and the pilot were the only people on board. They were able to call 911 while standing atop this emerged plane. According to Lieutenant Cory Gladden, the marathon county sheriff's office. As the plane began to sink into the water, they were able to move to shallower water where a short time later they were rescued. Tiffany suffered elaceration above his right eye and the pilot also sustained minor injuries. Both were treated and released from a local hospital Saturday night. Tiffany's opponent in Wisconsin's gubernatorial race, Democrat David Crowley, said in a post on X that he was grateful no one was hurt and wished Tiffany a quick recovery.
