I'm Alex O'Solev for the Wall Street Journal. Leon Black, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, is suing the House Oversight Committee that's probing his ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Black was Sipina to return for questioning after he declined to answer some questions during a June interview and abruptly left. His suit claims the Sipinas are invalid and that the panel and its chair have overstepped their authority by asking about NDAs unrelated to Epstein. Chip Giant NVIDIA has agreed to buy the AI startup Hugging Face in a deal worth roughly $13 billion. Hugging Face is a leader in public open-weight AI models. And it was the target of a recent hack by an open AI model that went rogue.

1:01The deal accelerates NVIDIA's push to promote open-weight models and CEO Jensen Wong said Hugging Face will remain an open platform. And Gloria Steinem, longtime symbol of the women's movement, has died at age 92. Steinem was an early abortion rights advocate and spent six decades as a journalist, editor, and activist. She also co-founded Miss Magazine, known for its frank coverage of subjects that were often outside the mainstream, including domestic violence, racism, and abortion access.
