Hi, I'm Johnny Erickson Tata, and one at the age of 17, I learned I'd spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. It was so overwhelming, and I can only imagine how my parents must have felt. Hearing the word disability is life-changing for any parent. With so many mixed emotions, extra doctor appointments, and uncertain future, it's a lot to handle. For some parents, it can feel like a burden way too heavy to carry, but that is where you and I come in. Because as Christians, we are called to quote, carry each other's burdens. Just as Galatians chapter 6 says, From there are many ways in which you can help parents of kids with disabilities, whether it's offering to make a meal, baby sit on a Friday night, or volunteer at one of our family retreats for special needs families. There's so many ways you can help, and to find out more, just visit johnnyradio.org. For more information, visit johnnyradio.org.
