What's happening, guys? Happy Tuesday!
And thank you for joining another special episode of your welcome.
All right, so the BMF went down over the weekend.
What is a BMF, by the way, very hard to explain, but we know it when we see it in an all fairness.
I don't think that a 25 minute grappling contest quite fits the bill.
Now the White House card also got released.
John Jones noticeably absent.
So real gone versus Alex Pierre for an interim title, plus the return of Ilya Toporia.
I'm going to tell you what I think of all of that, plus I'm going to answer some fan questions.
Where should we begin?
Charles Olivera versus Max Holloway, guys, here's what happened.
You saw the first round.
You saw the second round.
You saw the third, fourth, and the fifth.
It was reds and repeat.
When we over at Bad Guy Inc.
ultimately put our pick in and we said we're going to go with Charles Olivera.
It was for two reasons.
One, there was a confidence that Charles had.
And I feel that word, uh, confidence is the most overused, misunderstood,
and innately corrupted word in our space.
But you know it when you see it, right?
The fact that Charles lost to Max 10 years ago and for 10 years has asked for Max.
The night that he lost to Max, he tried to get a rematch with Max.
When Charles was in the division, he tried to get a rematch with Max.
When Charles left the division, thus making it impossible to get a fight with Max,
he tried to get a rematch with Max.
Like there was something about that first thing, that first feeling.
And Charles knew it was all mental.
He knew these lights are too bright.
I didn't think I belonged out there.
I surprised myself.
Let me try it again.
All right.
So we also have to use history as any kind of projection to the future.
And if you go back to Charles Olivera versus Tony Ferguson,
that's really the night that Charles became Charles.
There's a whole bunch of stars in the sport, big top five guys,
but there's a bunch of studs in the sport six through 10.
But six through 10, the guys won through five would only play with themselves.
They get up the ladder and they pull it up behind them.
Tony Ferguson is the only one to get up in the loft and then leave the ladder down
so somebody could climb up and play and that somebody was Charles.
But it was three takedowns, one per round for 15 minutes.
It was absolute domination and we did not know up until that point
that the Charles Olivera possessed such a strong and effective double eight takedown.
We then get reminded of it again at Madison Square Garden
when Charles is taken on Michael Chandler.
And of all the ways you wanted to play that fight out in your mind,
you did not imagine ground and pound.
More ground and pound than not ground and pound the majority of the fight
being in the top bottom position with Charles on top.
Nobody pictured that.
So that was the big thing when I was giving my own prediction with max.
Look, I don't question max and a festive cuffs.
I think that Charles has some pretty unique power,
but just enough to protect himself.
If he were to get into championship rounds, I'm talking Charles.
He would be as fatigued as everybody else.
It would seem
unless Charles got to the fourth in the fifth round by laying on top of max.
Listen, if my calculations were correct.
From the moment that fight started,
Charles was three takedowns away from becoming the BMF champion.
Very cool. The max put it up.
Very cool that the organization put it up.
Now, on the heels of this, I had just spoken with Conor McGregor.
And Conor McGregor said that he has been notified by both Charles's team and max's team
that whoever wins is planning to call him out.
Now, Conor wanted that call out and let both of those teams know.
If he does, I will accept.
But it didn't go in that direction.
For some reason, Charles had a different idea.
And he was pretty wide open and he was pretty appreciative.
In fact, if we were to break down the only meaningful call out of the night,
Kyle Brawl called out.
Dreckers do plus C.
Max something big is coming forward.
Charles is the rainy champion.
Something big is coming for.
But what Charles wants to do and more of a what weight class he wants to do it
because there was a caveat with fighting Conor,
which is we got to do it at 170 pounds.
So all of these things are still up in the air,
but ultimately the good news has come in.
Charles Oliver danced with the one that brought him.
He remembered his skills.
He didn't leave them in the back.
He remembered to use that world class jujitsu.
You got to take the guy down first.
He walks through fire.
He was prepared to do it for 25 minutes.
He almost found a submission.
It was unanimous on all judges score cards.
All five rounds go to all of Vera.
No rounds.
Favor Max.
That is what happened.
You have seen White House cards come out.
It was exactly as I predicted.
And guys, by the way, I felt like I feel like a little air got sucked out of the room.
Like it's so fun to guess what these are going to be.
It's so fun to have this magic one.
I'm going to put this guy with this guy, but you have no idea if you can.
Like you have no idea what this guy is saying.
You have no idea if this guy is healthy.
Like it's one of these things that when you finally get the answer,
there's no way to not go on.
Like it's just it's one of these things, right?
You get the biggest star in the sport in in Ilya, Tuporia.
You have the next biggest stars in the sport.
Like Sean O'Malley and Alex Pierre have been battling out for numbers for close to three years now.
I got them all on the card.
It's an incredible card.
Get an interim champion versus the undisputed champion.
You got Pierre introducing to the weight class,
which is going to feed into Tom Asperall, no matter what outcome.
I think the Pierre is not fighting for an interim championship.
I think the Pierre is fighting for goat status.
Like it's a really incredible card, but it's one of these interesting things.
There was a level of ridiculous that came out from jump street on this card.
And I remember begging you got, hey, a slow down.
There is nothing you've been told yet that's accurate.
I remember having to tell you that you were told this was going to be on July 4th.
I came out to a slow down.
They don't have a date and the date came out and it wasn't July 4th.
You were told there was nobody going to be there.
Said, hey, slow down.
Slow down.
There's going to be some fans.
And then it finds out there's 5,000.
And then it finds out there's going to be 85,000.
I'm only sharing with you like there was nothing about this was right.
But it was told by like these industry insiders.
There's going to be six and seven title fights.
And this just got weird.
You don't want six or seven title fights.
We've had events where there's three, three is the maximum.
Three is the most in 30 years of business that the UFC has ever put on one night.
I challenge you to tell me without looking up what event that was.
Like that isn't the way that you want to do it.
And sometimes your title fights aren't the fights that the crowd is dying to see.
By the way, so I mean this whole thing like like really got ahead of itself.
The facts that Alex Pierre is moving up is an incredible opportunity.
John Jones is saying that that he wants on the card.
That's an incredible opportunity, but it got a little bit weird.
Like there was his suggestion that John Jones would fight, but it would not be for a belt.
How do you reconcile that?
John Jones is going to fight, but it's not going to be for a belt.
Now, now the same people that wrote that article told you that Connor McGregor was going to fight and that it could be for a belt.
You what?
How do we reconcile that?
What is your big fascination with this belt?
By the way, I mean, it is one of those things.
Why just kept hearing about this damn belt?
As opposed to hearing about fights that people wanted to see.
And a belt fight is very different.
Belt fight is very different where you're taking a champion.
You know, there's nothing you can do with it.
Like like the red corner is now picked.
There's no interchange.
Well, okay, great.
Now we got to find somebody to put in the passenger seat.
And it just gets weird, right?
It turns into, well, is that the fight that you wanted to see or not?
And by the way, what if it goes the distance?
I mean, do we learn anything on Saturday night?
What do you guys think?
Do you wish that that fight would have gone 15 minutes or that it would have gone 25 minutes?
It's a different sport.
You don't have a wrong answer.
I'm not scolding you for what you think.
I'm just sharing for you.
Like there was some really weird ideas.
When people are coming out and saying there's going to be six and say
it's going to be nothing but title fights.
It's like, what good does that do?
Why do you think that that's a good thing?
Where do you suggest that locking a corner in?
And now finding the passenger to sit in the car.
Where do you find that that's a good thing?
Where do you find that taking a champion and putting him from the fifth fight of the night?
Right?
I mean, where are you coming to the conclusion that these are good things?
And Alex Piera going up to heavyweight.
Alex Piera having a chance for goats at it.
So real gone being given an opportunity that I don't know anybody has ever had
and failed at more times aside from myself.
I don't know.
I would have to look that up.
I was given two in the WEC and three in the UFC.
Like I can't remember a time that a guy was given an opportunity for more belts.
But if the guy keeps saying yes and it's a volunteer army,
then it seems like you've gone to the right guy.
And a surreal gone was already said.
Andy was that he's going to be the next opponent for Tom.
It seems like you've gone to the right guy.
What if you co-man prevented them?
What if you put your heavyweight number one contendership?
Title fight and a combing event spot.
Like there's a lot of things to be looked at that are very interesting.
But the White House card is awesome.
The White House card is exactly what it should be.
You have the biggest star in Iliottaporia.
You went to the next biggest star, which I don't know if that's Sean O'Malley or Alex Piera.
I don't know.
You've got all three of them on the card.
Found a way to give us two titles, which by the way,
anything more than that you don't want.
You don't you don't want it.
This card is what I predicted it would be.
And this card is done correctly.
Today's show is sponsored by strawberry.me.
Let me ask you something.
Do you think championship athletes got to the top by guessing?
No, they had coaching.
Every elite athlete has a coach watching their forum calling the plays
and spotting the blind spots they can't see themselves.
That's how championships are won.
So why are you trying to win your career without a coach?
You're grinding, hoping for the promotion,
trying to read the politics, guessing your next move.
That's amateur hour.
If you want to perform like a pro, you need coaching.
Strawberry.me matches you with a professional career coach

John Jones, guys, it's complicated.
It really is.
John has gotten to a level of greatness.
You can't just look back at history
as you're subjected for the future.
Right, John's in a unique spot.
John gets a phone call.
What should fight Tom Aspel?
Maybe I want to fight Tom Aspel.
Whatever, whatever it was that happened there,
but okay, let's fast forward.
To now, we are led to believe
that John Jones was offered a fight against Alex Pierre.
So imagine John takes a look at that and he goes,
now, for whatever reason,
the numbers don't work or Pierre, it doesn't work.
Whatever it is, but you lead to a note,
here's the unforeseen problem.
We're going to put Alex Pierre on the card,
going to be a feature bout
when we're going to do it for an interim championship.
Why is that a problem for John?
Because now, John can't come back to fight Tom.
That's why it's a problem.
If I was to tell you guys,
if I was to give you a question,
I'm going to back you up and tell December 31st
and I go, do you think John's retired?
Yes or no?
Whichever way you would bet,
but then I give you one clue
and I tell you,
he's not going to fight in 2026.
You look at that and go,
man, that guy's like 37, 38 years old.
He had this opponent named Francis who left.
Now he's got this opponent named Tom
and we don't even know if Tom will have the belt by that.
For Tom to have the belt by 2027,
would mean that Tom has to set a heavyweight record
for title defenses.
All of a sudden, it starts to get strange.
You didn't have the evidence that Alex Pierre
was going to come into the weight class.
Because I can now tell you that.
I can now give you that clue.
Is John Jones going to fight again?
Well, let me give you a clue.
He's not going to fight in 2026.
And it's not an opportunity of going.
Hey, I changed my mind.
Look, it's all cool in the gang.
You know, we rethought this
and I came in a little bit strong
and the model has changed.
And I'm good for the fight with Tom.
It's not an option.
First off, Tom's hurt.
I'm well aware that Tom's going to come back.
But I'm just setting the table for you.
Tom has hurt.
This is an unforeseen.
That when John is making his moves,
he has no way to plan for.
Because Tom has hurt,
we are now going to find the next opponent for Tom.
The one thing that we can agree
that an interim championship is.
Is a number one contender spot.
We can agree on that.
Even if you're the smart mark in the room
and you can show me a time through history,
we can agree.
And we can specifically agree
when it involves Alex Piera.
Taking on.
Surreal gone.
Who by the way is the very guy
who's publicly been named
as the next opponent for Tom.
Right?
It's been publicly stated
that we're going to rematch Surreal and Tom.
Now, that plan gets changed
when Tom's eyes are a little bit worse.
Alex Piera is not even in the weight class.
He comes back.
I mean, do you see where there's just no room for John?
And by the way,
it's not completely John's fault.
Like he's just gotten to this level of greatness
where you can't just bring him in.
You can't just go look at the special line.
We're going to put John in there
with the number five guy,
the number six guy.
And this whole thing's been for Gaze.
By the way, I mean,
I got to tell you at the end of the day,
I find myself defending John,
which is not a position that I know
that I've ever been in.
I mean, I really do feel
for John Jones in this situation
because he's not a guy that's able to look at and go,
I'm so great that I've beaten everybody in.
There's nobody interesting for me.
Like he's a competitor going,
that's your guys' problem.
Right?
That's the feels,
nobody can touch me.
That's the feels problem.
That's not a reason
that would preclude me
from having an opportunity,
but it is.
It is.
John is so good.
Listen,
Ronda Rousey retired
because of this very thing.
Ronda Rousey did not retire
because she didn't want to do the sport.
She wasn't one of the gals
or she couldn't keep drawing
or she wasn't ranked.
She retired
because her contract was of such
that it called for her to be a main event
if you're going to be a main event,
you're fighting for World Championships
and she was not World Championship Caliper.
Like her own greatness is what retired.
Anybody would have loved
a bit in the spot
that Ronda retired on.
She probably would have been
about number seven in the rankings.
Anybody would have fought their whole life
for that opportunity.
She would have returned to a main event
at low as to co-main.
Like anybody
would have fought their whole career
for that.
Her own level of greatness
is essentially what retired her,
but it's a real thing.
And when you're John Jones
and you're 37, you're 38 years old
and you're coming out
and you're saying like,
I can't do this and I've got our arthritis
and I've got these problems in my hips
and it's just a tough spot.
And I feel for it.
He wanted on the White House car
to our knowledge
that we've been given
and I understand that things are kept
but it's from our knowledge.
That was all that he asked for.
He did not come in
with some 30 million dollar price tag
or something ridiculous.
And I imagine there was a little bit
of a pain in the ass behind the scenes
but he had still made it ask
and he's doing a number of great things
and a guy that he smoked
in four minutes got the opportunity.
I mean, I could feel for John
in that spot.
But what do you do?
I mean, if you had the power,
what would you do?
You're not going to put him
in there against Tee of Osir
or Derek Lewis.
You're not going to put him
in there against Volkov.
What story are you telling?
Where are you going to go?
John is going to have to fight for a belt.
That belt is going to have
to be defended against Tom
which was an idea that we had
five months ago
and didn't come to fruition
so you would be creating an optimum.
And what do you do?
How would have you handled it?
It's very...
It's a lot more complicated
than you might think.
Then are you going to tell me
you're not going to put him in the intro?
Like, does that sound right to you?
John Jones fighting!
For the interim championship,
does that sound right to you?
No, I don't think
that you had done that.
And you could have packaged it.
You could have sold it.
So it's an interim title
because Tom's out in the Natsca.
We've got a guarantee that we've got
a two-fight deal.
John's guaranteeing that he's
going to go into Tom.
I mean, it's one of these stuff things.
Look, if John's demands were not met,
and by the way,
I don't take a pleasure of this.
I got to tell you,
I'm not being my usual dick of a self.
I come to you quite the opposite,
but here's a cold heart truth.
If John Jones's demands are not
being met for the biggest fight in history,
they're not going to be met
for the non-biggest fight in history.
If John Jones could not get a title fight
on the biggest show in history,
he's not going to get a title shot
on a different show in history.
If John Jones could not get the main event,
he's not going to get it on a different event.
And for his greatness, that's tough.
I don't think this is the way that he wants to go out.
I don't think this is the way that he wants to retire.
But there's simply with the evidence that we have,
there's no other way to interpret this
than John Jones is retired.
I spoke to Conor McGregor last week.
All right.
I'm sitting up at Starbucks right here in Westlin.
And Ian Parker tells me,
hey, I'm getting this interview with Conor.
I want you to jump on.
We're going to do an interview with Conor.
And I was telling, yeah.
You know, Ian's my buddy.
Yeah, absolutely.
Whatever you need.
But I must share with you.
I didn't think he was going to be able to get Conor.
So I get this call him at the Starbucks.
He's like, hey, Conor wants to go right now.
All right.
I'm going to need four minutes.
Like, I've got to get home.
I don't know.
You're going to be able to pull this off.
Great. We get Conor.
My biggest takeaway.
Let me just, let me just get you
to third base on this is I believed him.
I believed everything Conor was saying.
I was talking to a healthy guy that was not performing.
And there was a time where there's a time
where he'll go in and out a little bit.
There's a time where he'll get excited.
But I was talking to a real guy.
And I really believed everything he said.
And Conor touched on a couple of different things.
None of which were larger than the fact that he said,
I'm waiting on a contract.
And he said, I believed it was going to be Michael Chandler.
I believe it should be Michael Chandler.
And I tell you this because I really appreciate that
about Conor.
Red panting night is very real.
And Conor is used whatever leverage
and media opportunities that he has
to help Chandler.
Chandler.
I've just always thought that was a cool move
on a personal level.
Now Conor says
that after the Chandler fight,
he was then offered something for international fight weekend.
But what he believed was going to be an international fight weekend
wasn't positive on the date
that it was a lesser named opponent.
And McGregor said that he thought
he was being offered the lesser name opponent,
almost as a game to make him flinch.
Almost as though it was expected that he would say no.
And he did it.
He said, yeah.
Is that over the contract?
He says he didn't get one.
Now we went even further to say
that his manager, Audiotar,
has flown to Las Vegas
and is going into UFC headquarters this morning
to have some kind of a face-to-face conversation,
which I think is very interesting.
So, well, we've got Conor.
Right, and we're jumping all over the place.
I must tell you,
like as far as an interview went,
it was very hard for me to stay grounded on a topic
because there are so many different things
that I want to ask Conor.
A wild direction.
Who do you think Islam should fight next?
Right?
I mean, I asked him that.
But I am curious.
He had a magic wand,
and he's looking to the division.
And so we touch on the BMF.
And it was topical.
Conor, both Max and Charles have told the media
that with a victory,
they're going to call out you.
And Conor said, I love the idea.
You know, Max,
I've got this unfinished business with and he said,
nice things about Charles,
but he said, I love the idea,
and I love the BMF belt.
He said, but I don't know about a BMF sitting in a sauna,
drying himself out until you can see his cheekbones.
That doesn't sound like a BMF to me.
If you're such a BMF, come up to 170.
I'm a 55 pounder, you're a 55 pounder.
Let's do it at 170.
I thought that was interesting.
I've always told you guys,
one prediction that I have for Conor,
is when you see Conor again,
you will not see him at 155.
I'm not positive you'll see him at 170.
But I'm positive that you won't see him at 155,
and he cleared that up.
And he said, what's the point of,
we're both tough guys.
What are we doing?
And he said, I lived a lot of my career this way.
I lived a lot of my career thinking that this was the right way to go.
But it's not.
It's not what a BMF does.
A BMF goes and gets on the scale and goes there and finds it.
I just thought that you guys would think that was interesting.
And the part about Conor,
a green to fight.
See, it's very different than John-John.
It's very different.
And these two kind of go in the same category.
They kind of go in the same category.
We got this real hot hand, it would appear.
Like if you're a promoter,
it appears that you got a real hot hand.
Two of them.
But that card isn't being played.
But from the information that we've been given,
it's not being played for very different reason.
We don't know what the negotiation is behind the scene.
But when I spoke to Conor,
he was very clear that he said, yes.
And he did say,
I saw Conor Ben got 15 million.
I'm the real Conor.
That was a great one.
He said, I've got the real championships.
I've got the real numbers.
Not maybe.
Not a question.
Bonifiable, provable.
He said, so what is my word?
But he didn't make it as though he was standing on that.
He was saying, send me the contract.
I'll find out what the number is when I read the contract.
This was Conor's stance.
And I believed him.
Now I'm sure there's a little room there.
But we're told the opposite on John, right?
We're told that John is pretty steadfast to a certain number
to something that he has in mind.
And it's just, it's a very different spot.
I hear people saying you should put John in
and put him in including fights that aren't championship fights.
I think people say, put Conor in and put him anywhere
including a championship fight.
It's like, well, we sound like we're close on the idea.
But where do we go from here?
But where do we go from here?
And it ultimately comes down to a willingness.
Does a guy really want to fight?
I will just share with you.
Speaking to Conor, he was in the gym.
He was literally in the gym standing at an octagon
as he's doing the interview, wearing workout gear about
to train and he's looking for an opponent.
He's got his manager at USC headquarters right now
trying to figure out a date.
That's all that he needs.
The weight class is 170.
The opponent is anybody you want.
And he needs a date.
Now the question is, do you believe him?
And I will tell you that I did.

I'm just going to win.
And no, for Charles Oliver to go into fight
with somebody as dangerous Macs
and for Charles to go out there with a game plan
and then for Charles to go out there
and implement the game plan.
I have always had a resistance.
And it is the only thing where I am a contrarian
to the sport.
I love the sport.
I love the rules.
I can stand back.
I can understand them.
And I can get behind them.
But I got to tell you a side from one.
I just never understood why some fights
are three rounds in summer five.
I've never understood.
I remember where I was the day
I got the call from Stephen Morocco
who was calling me for my opinion on this.
And this is how I found out about it.
I hadn't heard about it.
Stephen wanted to know my opinion.
My goodness.
I said, that's just...
I don't get it.
And I don't.
I don't.
The Super Bowl is not five quarters
because it's a Super Bowl.
The 100 yard dash and the Olympics
is not 103 yards.
I don't get it.
So if you see a fight and you don't like the ground game,
just for example,
I'm only making a suggestion for you,
but you can blame the guy's style
or you can blame the other guy
for not having a defense to the style
or you can realize
shorten the thing up.
All right.
Curlybob says,
do you feel like you have lost all your power chain?
You can cast the chill curse on Charles.
Now the BMF has a name.
Do you also think the White House card is a little bit disappointed?
You know,
Curlybob, I know what you're talking about
in terms of the disappointment.
I do understand that to a degree,
but that's only because we have so much fun trying to guess.
It's like any time you have resolution,
you have a little bit of a disappointment.
You're a big fight fan.
And a number of events.
You almost leave with like the post fight bloomed.
You know, particularly if you're there in person,
it was just incredible night.
You've been looking forward to it when it comes to an end.
There's almost like the post fight blues.
And it's not because anything bad happened.
It's just because the excitement and the guessing
was so much fun.
So I know what you're talking about,
but for the White House card,
but this is a killer card.
You get the three biggest names in the sport on the card.
Right.
You get Ilya, Sean, and Alex,
absence of Connor,
who isn't currently licensed,
so I'm not counting him.
I don't have the three biggest stars in the sport,
not to mention you have Alex Piera,
who I don't believe is fighting for interim status.
I believe he's fighting for goat status.
I believe Alex Piera captures a title ad heavyweight.
We lose the ability to discuss who's the greatest of all time.
We just have to refer to it as Alex.
So no, I think that the card is awesome.
I think that we got guys in the industry
that went out and ran their mouths that never should have.
And we have guys in the industry
that went out and talked about,
there's going to be all these title fights,
which is just weird.
You don't want all these title fights.
You don't want a bunch of 25-minute contests
where the red corner is automatically picked.
Now all we got to do is find out who gets in the passenger seat.
That's not a great way to build a great card.
It's weird.
It looks good for a poster.
It's not good in practice.
So no.
I am not disappointed.
I think that it's going to be great.
Shane Clark says, should the UFC
resign Francis?
Of course not.
No.
In many ways, like Francis is playing a different game
and fair play to him.
I would not have done it that way.
But I couldn't imagine giving a world championship back.
I just couldn't imagine doing that.
Francis had a different idea.
And I think if you asked Francis,
did it work out?
In some way, sure.
Sure.
A different competition tried something different?
I don't know.
Does anybody's at fault here?
Chris says,
What is your favorite food city?
And how was Joel?
You know, Joel appreciate that you asked about him.
He's doing great.
He's about three miles from here.
And Joel is getting ready for an adventure.
He is going to move.
And he's actually looking for a place on the map.
Like he's decided and he's going to go out for an adventure.
And it looks as though he's going to go to Colorado.
And my favorite food city, you know,
you want to know what's fun for food?
For me, I'm an Oregon where it rains a lot.
So we don't have a lot of outdoor food.
Like you could find a hot dog card in Oregon,
but it's hard.
So I think that that's very fun.
And so I go with New York.
Like I don't argue that the Euro was just so delicious.
Or that the rice and chicken kabob is just so delicious.
But I like the theme of it.
I like that it smells good.
I like that you can walk up to it.
I like that it's affordable and it's quick.
I like that you can get it to go.
I'm going to go with New York.
All right.
All be says Uncle Shale.
What happened to submission underground submission underground is back.
We're back and coming to Brazil.
Details to follow.
Roger Kaiser says why isn't this a thing?
Weight classes.
Every 10 pounds to weigh in.
Day before within two pounds of limit.
Day of make weight.
Always one paid alternate available to fight.
If either fighter misses.
Fighter allowed one miss.
Second and consecutive miss.
Must go up.
All right.
Roger.
Let me level with you.
That is one of the dumbest things I've ever been in.
And not because you're a dumb guy.
Is because you're not a realist.
You you you've with in your question you've attempted to solve it.
Within your question right instead of one way and we're going to do too.
But you're not understanding.
Well, who's going to conduct those weigh in?
You never thought of that.
Did you?
So you're going to have to bring a body and not once.
But twice you never thought of that.
Now you're saying that you've you've got one paid guy per weight.
So we're going to do 11 fights.
That's 22 athletes.
According to you, we need to now do 33 athletes.
33 athletes have got to go through training camp.
Have got to fly out.
Have got to get sanctioned.
Have got to get paid.
And of those 33, 22 were going to be.
I mean, do you see the problem?
And I'm not turning on you.
I know that you sat and thought about this and you thought every which dimension
that you can cover.
And I do agree with you.
That you would solve the weight cutting issue if you did a day of weigh in.
But it it doesn't completely solve it.
Right.
I mean, this is where things get a little bit complete.
You don't completely solve it by doing it day up.
You you completely solve it when you do it hour before.
Hour to four before and even two hours before.
Has been tested effectively and remove weight cutting from the NCAA,
which is the one and only place that's ever implemented this.
So it gets complicated.
Like people think they're getting cutes and they go, well, day of.
I know that you you've been told a number of things,
but you you've got to trust it for me.
I don't want to take the condescending.
But you you even heard an ounce or it's go, well, this guy looks a little bit tired.
It could be because he had a really bad weight cut.
That's an announcer cover.
You'll never hear a fighter say that.
Ever.
You'll hear an announcer who doesn't fight say that.
I don't mean that in a condescending, there's no truth that weighed in the day before.
It would not matter if you went to hell and gone.
It's the day before.
It's a distant memory.
In the same thing is true if you weigh in the morning of.
It's not the same.
You weigh in at 9, 10, 11 a.m. the morning of.
For a 7, 8, 9 p.m. fight.
I'm just sharing with you not only do you got to do it same day
and there's no allowance.
You do one way and these are adults.
But if you want to eliminate weight cutting, you've got to do it within two hours before.
The main bane asks me, do you think Colby will fight in the octagon again?
Oh, yeah.
Of course, Colby's looking for a fight right now.
Colby's looking for a fight in for a minute there.
He was considering going up to 185,
which I personally believe that he is still open to.
But he would like to stay in his weight class as every fighter under contract
would like to stay within their weight class.
But yeah, not only is Colby agreeable to a fight.
He's probably more agreeable than than any other fighter
because he's willing to go to a different class for the right fight.
All right.
Jason asks, who fought?
Who won?
Who had the best training camp?
Who was in the best shape?
Who waited for the best opportunity?
Who is fighting next?
Who fought?
Who won?
Who had the best training camp?
Just like in general?
Jason, I got to give you an award.
I thought that Roger asked a stupid question.
And he did.
You now have the stupidest.
Rusty says, was Peter Yon justified in keeping the real belt
and not taking the replica?
Yes.
The words economy grader, the champion does whatever he wants.
And final question goes to side show by Sheath.
What's up with Bonickel?
How would you rate him right now at this point in his career?
His wrestling looks strong to me.
What say you?
And what does the fight look like at the White House?
You know, Bo was one of these interesting ones, in my opinion,
where it appeared that he was on very good standing.
Like, I think that we would have guessed as a community.
Colby?
Chandler?
Bo?
Would have all been part of the card.
And of those three, two of them were right, including Bo.
And then who do you put him again?
I think that's not as easy as you think.
And Bo always seems to get some level of criticism for whoever his opponent is.
But privately, Bo's open to fighting anybody.
It's the anybody isn't willing to fight Bo.
He's a very hard guy to get matched up.
And if you want to challenge that fact, just go to Google.
Nobody challenges him.
Nobody calls him out.
He does call outs.
But right, he's like redeeming himself from the RDR.
So he's not going to quite get matched up with the chimimes yet.
Like, it's an interesting spot.
I'm not sure what you want Bo to do about it.
I feel like he's doing everything right.
You should have a pretty good attitude that you'd want to see more of.
All right, I said it was the last one.
We're going to do one more freedom from the mind, Uncle Jail,
in your experience, what's the best passive income business?
That someone can own the best passive income.
That's a very resisted term by me.
Like, the idea that you can park your money somewhere and then not do anything is a little bit loose.
But under those guidelines, I would say that it's real estate.
And not just because of the passive income.
And the ones you get it as long as you find a good tenant that you're a relatively safe spot.
But also just your tax benefits.
Your tax benefits and the right us that you get if you were to ask a license CPA,
what is the single best thing that I can buy for tax reasons?
They are more likely than not to tell you real estate.
I'll give you the same answer.
UFC White House card sucks.
That's a quote from Ronda Rousey.
I got to tell you, I'm into heel Ronda.
Like, I didn't even know I missed Ronda until now that she's back.
There is something that I'll never get tired of seeing, which is the same story on repeat.
And Vince McMahon had to talk about this, but I watched Dana have to go through this.
Where Dana creates a star and then that star takes a gun and turns it back on the promotion.
Like that will just never stop happening.
I assume what Ronda's talking about when she says that the card sucks is that very thing.
That she wanted to see certain fights, not understanding the going and getting those fights done isn't as simple as it should be,
which is I've got two athletes under contract that say they want to do it.
And I've got a massive opportunity for them to do it.
And Vince McMahon talked about this and he said every wrestler turns on me at some point.
And Vince then explained the psychology and he was referencing specifically Andre the giant,
but he said that he has to deal with it all the time.
And he explained that you bring somebody on this journey, you bring them from nothing,
you give them opportunity and they've got money and they've got fame and they're on the road and they're traveling.
They're getting this drug.
They're getting this inundation of this drug known as fame.
And then that goes away and it's not that he took it from him.
It's an injury or a spot on the roster or some new young guy that came up and bumped them off the card the same as they did to somebody when they got their break,
and Vince said and they realized that their careers come to a stop, but mine is going to go on.
No matter what differences we had or what it is that they wanted that we couldn't come to terms with,
the light bulb is going to go on that their time in this business is done.
But mine continues and that creates a resentment.
And I like heel ronda.
I'm not upset that ronda said it suck.
I'm just curious.
How would you begin?
There's an incredible irony.
First off, the card doesn't suck.
Secondly, she's coming from a standpoint of I'm on a different card.
That's better.
And the comedy in that statement, right?
The comedy in this statement is overwhelming.
She doesn't even have a card.
For example, she's part of a card that isn't released.
We want to know if it sucks or not, like there's no way to fire back.
That's part of the brilliance within her statement.
And if she truly means it, like if she just out there promoting which I think she is,
but let's just say that she doesn't.
Some of you will think the card sucks.
Okay, great.
Let's play along.
How would you done it?
How would you done it?
And anytime we play matchmaker, and it's been this way for the last 10 years,
somebody goes, why would put Connor against the, yeah, genius.
Anybody can sell a Ferrari.
I want to know who can get that used Volvo off the lot.
That's what I want to hear from you coming out and thinking that you're a genius
matchmaker and saying how you would have done it and leading with the biggest draw on the sport.
I mean, not for nothing like everybody wishes and sometimes in the fight business,
one falls in your lap every now and then one falls in your lap.
And you're going to see this with MVP, which by the way, I don't wish this on.
I'm just share for you to prove my point.
You're going to see this with MVP if anything happens to either Rhonda or Gina.
It's going to be a huge problem because one fell in their lap.
Like the idea of Rhonda and Gina fighting and then you've got the lives of laws of supply and demand,
which is the number one law and all of economics.
And you've really got those on your side not to mention you're not doing a promotion.
This isn't an event that has to lead to another event.
It's just a big night.
It's something for fun like it's a very different deal, but you're going to see the problems
if either Rhonda or Gina comes up lame, they're going to be in a massive jam.
So the UFC had to deal with that, right?
I mean, it's not as though the UFC isn't thinking what you're thinking.
It's not as though they didn't go to play that Ferrari.
Something happened and what do you do then?
And I would love to hear from you like, how would have you done it?
How would have you stayed within the constraints of sustainability?
How would you not acquiesce and give in to every demand that you're getting knowing is not sustainable?
Knowing your economics and most importantly, understanding that you're playing chess,
whatever happens at this event, no different than any other event has got to lead to a future event.
So I'm very curious when you say that it sucks.
And I do hear everybody for the last decade.
Pull out the corner card. You're not wrong to do that.
You're not wrong to lead with your right.
If we're just playing imaginary matchmaking, you're not wrong to do it,
but you've got the next best thing and the next best thing and the next thing under that.
Like the three biggest stars in the sport are O'Malley, Pierre, Toporia.
You've got all three of them. You got two of them in title fight.
Are you sure this card sucks? Are you really sure?
Because I would love to know how you would have done it better.
