This has been a really fun day. It's been great to you know see the excitement in the air and obviously with the season of coming. This is the perfect time to make this kind of announcement. I think the press release says it all but I'll allow you a couple of minutes to talk about what you think the that's Sikmedia can do for the star and Domingo show and what the star and Domingo show can do for Sikmedia.

6:06I mean I think partnership wise it did speaks well to each other I think six done a great job in term of being able to expand that spectrum of both being informative and fun. I think it's been great in terms of you know really kind of giving that energy. It's it's very unique in terms of being that independent media outlet that's able to speak to people in a more direct way, non commercial way, emotional way, but also kind of bringing that nest that necessity in terms of being informative and fun. And we do that in terms of star and Domingo. But the the the machine that is the power that you have and having to be able to do it. And it's like Shane, Sammy, a lot of the producing involved. I think that helps us kind of reach a next level in terms of our production. And I think it just helps us as a network kind of feed off each other. I'm right here right now coming on your show. We're able to go on other shows. We're growing the network not just simply in the Montreal spectrum which the press release was talking about but there's going to

7:06be other surprises down the line outside of Montreal that are going to be very interesting that we're all going to be able to take part in as well. So I think it's the right time and I think that starting Domingo as well is becomes another asset and another fun little show that everybody else can kind of jump on and watch so that you know, we have you. Yeah. In some cases and post games, people can watch us at noon and the star and Domingo showed during the week as well. So there's always going to be something for somebody at whatever time of the day. Fantastic stuff. So for the so following Canadians games, you're going to my understanding is you're going to go live at noon and if the Canadians do not play the night before you'll record the podcast and it'll be uploaded and everyone can find it on the star and Domingo page. Exactly, which is the which is the same, you know, output that we had prior to. So nothing really changes. It's simply just a question of where else we're going to pop up on the second network. All right. Okay. And what it means for Markle is from time to time he's going to be part of my team of collaborators which already

8:09includes Eric Engels, Brian Wilde, Stu Cowan, Pierre McGuire, John Goyens, Craig Button, and other collaborators who will join from time to time, Shane Gommal, Matt O'Han. I hope I'm not forgetting anybody, Chris Knuckles, Nylon. The list goes on and on. So Mark was going to join me from time to time on the first time, to time on my weeknight show at 10 p.m. And next year if he's not on 643 French shows, maybe he'll be online as well. All right. Okay. Now, with that said, there's so much to talk about because we're talking for the first time here. So there's things that I may have talked about three days ago last week or two weeks ago or three weeks ago, which are still pertinent because I haven't had your opinion on them. There's a couple of ways we can go here, but I thought seeing

9:12as this is a show that likes to stick a lot with the current, there is current news. Earlier today, a team in the Montreal Acadedians conference, a team in the Montreal Acadedians division, the Boston Bruins signed a 22 year old sentiment to a seven year deal. He came over from the Toronto Maple Leafs a couple of years ago in that trade that brought Brandon Carlo to Toronto. Of course, I'm talking about Fraser Minton and Shane Goblan, Master Control, if you can bring up Fraser Minton, actually, pardon me, just before that, speaking with members of the media, it was caught on WEEI before we bring up his hockey DB. If you have that, I don't know if you have the picture of him on WEEI, you probably don't. All right. Okay. We'll try and get it to you in just a second. But Fraser Minton, once again, I sent it over, who signed a seven year deal at $50.4 million total. So he's going to be making over $7 million a year.

10:15And now we can bring up, there you have it, after signing a seven year, $50.4 million dollar extension with the Bruins. Quote, super excited to be a Bruin here for the next seven years. Marco, we bring up his hockey DB, which shows, of course, he had played 19 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs at the national hockey league level. Played some games in the American Hockey League after that. Six games to finish off the season couple of years ago, 82 games last season. Basically, 17 goals, 18 assists, 35 points. Not bad. Is plus 21 really stands out. And so do his 17 goals, held pointless, unfortunately, for him in the playoffs. Second round pick, 38 overall, six foot two, just over 200 pounds, centerman. And when I say all of this, I can't help but think of Oliver Kappenden.

11:17Second round pick, six foot two centerman, about 200 pounds. Couple of pounds less than Fraser Minton, but the same height. And a production that's similar, as a matter of fact, for Oliver Kappenden, more goals and two more points, your thoughts. I think they're comparable in terms of where they are in their career. You see a contract like that, Boston is banking on, you know, securing that centerline. And I think this is kind of twofold, right? Part of it is how rare centers are right now. And the other part of it is wanting to avoid getting into the offer sheet business. If Fraser had himself another strong season where he took another lead, say he finishes this season, you know, with better linemates than with respect, Mark Castellick and Tanner Janot, if he, if he ends up playing more with pasturnak,

12:18or if he ends up playing with the newly acquired JJ Paturka, and gets more consistent power playtime, if he tops out at 50 points this season, then that's what 50 point centers are going for, about $7.5 million. And you get that on seven years, it's a really good deal. So you want to make sure you lock that in now and that you don't have to deal with the offer sheet game in July. And so I could see why that kind of makes sense for them. You look at the two players on hockey be. That part of me having said that, are you 100% sold? That's a great contract for the Boston Bruins, or are you saying it could be a little bit of a gamble if Fraser Minton doesn't end up being a full time second line 60 point sentiment. Even if he's a 50 point sentiment, I think that's a good deal. It's just you have to get there, right? Like there's, there are a lot of players that have signed contracts of that length that you think we're going to hit. That 50 point threshold on a regular basis, even 60 point threshold.

13:18Just look at you, Sparic, Hakan, the Emmy situation in Carolina, right? I think with Minton's situation, it's just there is a belief in Boston, especially with Don Swini that this is a player that could reach that level given what he did last season as a rookie. And with the line made that he had. I think it's a realistic possibility that this is at worst a good deal, but it could be very much a value deal. And we're looking at it today, but you have to factor in the seven years and that only kicks in by the way next season, not this one. So it's extremely interesting because he has a whole season to improve before he lives up to that deal a little bit like what we saw from lean Hudson last year, signing now, but it kicks in in July. Because Fraser Minton is on year three of a three year deal, paying him $880,000, which was an entry level contract. Oliver Capinan is in year three of a three year deal, paying him $942,500.

14:18So he too in the final year of his contract, but I'm wondering when the Canadian see the Bruins give Fraser Minton who scored five less goals than Capinan, two less points than Capinan, mind you one year younger, but also a six foot two to three. So a six foot two hundred pound sentiment like Capinan also a second round pick like Capinan are the Canadians thinking, we might have to give Capinan $7 million or not. I don't believe that the Canadians would necessarily go that long term. And I think Boston's in a different situation because they need to figure out what the future of that center line looks like. They already have to deal with the pending free agent in Pavlsacca. And I think if you go and sign a guy, Lank Minton now, you have a little bit more leverage in having those contract discussions with a guy like Pavlsacca because they have his replacement, ready and sign long term. In Montreal, you look at the way that that Capinan is being presented can use himself said that he believes Capinan can be a second line center, but I think all intents and purposes.

15:27They want Michael Hage to be that player. So if there is a contract extension, maybe they don't go long term with a guy like Capinan and they go maybe short term to see what happens and that in and of itself with lower the potential Capit for. And I don't know if it's going to be true. We'll have to wait and see. I think I value Capinan a lot more than most of the fan base does. I think Canadians fans would value him more as well if the Canadians didn't have Michael Hage in the system. Because for most, he's being sold as the guy who could be the second line centerman and should he join the Montreal Canadians in April. He could be that guy or within a couple of years, he'll definitely develop into one. Someone very close to the situation set to me when all is said and done, they wouldn't be surprised if Capinan centering Hage is a winger. It's possible. I don't I don't. I will think that anyone has a crystal ball in that situation and I think a lot of it has to do with the complexities of being a centerman.

16:30I think that's probably one of the main reasons why Boston was so aggressive on mint in is because it's so difficult to get those identifiable pure centerman locked up long term. You don't have to worry about it. The Canadians are still trying to figure out who's going to be that number two. Hage has holes in his game that would lead you to believe that he could be a winger long term. So that's why it's good to have options. I don't want to discount Capinan either. I think a lot of people last year this time didn't think that he was going to be a top nine player for the Montreal Canadians. Want to be the second line center for most of the year and had instant chemistry with Ivan Demedov and eventually your ice love coffee as well. But when I look at that production the only thing that gives me pause is I just mentioned those line mates. I think that's what I think is that a guy like Fraser Mint and his main line mates his most recurring line mates were fourth liners in in Castellick and and Geno so I just wonder can he add certain elements to his game can be more of a playmaker instead of just the go to finisher for Ivan Demedov can you diversify that offense because if you can then he can then he has the potential to be a second line center in this league.

17:39If the Canadians were to use Oliver Capinan as a trade ship. Would it be in their best interest to sign them to a short term deal or to a long term deal and I know you said you don't foresee a long term deal and I think you know why you're saying that you correct me if I'm wrong because they like them. But they're not 100% sold on them and because they believe that H could be a better option going forward so for example anyone who I think they've established as being a big time important core player has been signed to the to the max eight years. Anyone who's a little bit older was maybe signed a little bit less than that anyone who was maybe in the category just below. Caden Gully was signed for a little bit less than the max term and now everyone who's in the next category is probably going to be signing for three to five years and maybe that's where we're at right now with Zach Bulldoch.

18:42So are you saying that in captain's case you think that in the category of players category one category two category three. Capinan finds himself anywhere between a category two and a category three. I think he's in the same slot that Alex new hook and Kirby doc were at the moment of sign their extensions that brought them within a year of free agency but you still have that level of control. I think the sweet spot for the Canadians will be three years. I think you're seeing a lot of young players out of their entry level contracts outside of Montreal now pushing for the four or five year deals. And I think that makes sense the salary cap is supposed to increase to such a degree by 2030 once they are they stop artificially keeping it down it's go you know salaries are naturally going to increase so unless the Canadians are given some sort of incentive that. Capinan simply takes off in the first half of the season they don't have to push it they don't have to be very aggressive on this because they know that they they kind of hold the cards that kind of have his replacement in the wings.

19:42And to that point when it comes to arguing that production. You need to look just to his linemate and Ivan Demadov that's a really good situation to be in so. Part of part of that negotiation will come throughout the season and we'll see what happens but if of course it does get to a point where he prices himself out where they feel like you're asking for two C money but we may be see you more as a high and third line center perhaps that is the piece because of his improved play during the season. So perhaps that is the piece that allows you to go and get a top end top six you know forward that helps Michael hage integrate in April or that number two center if one becomes available during the season. So I understand your point on capinan last season is 22 goals there are a lot of people who said he can maintain the shooting percentage and actually think he's going to have a drop in goal production this year because he probably took the league by storm and a few goalies by surprise. I also understand the fact that you said maybe mintance production is more impressive considering he's a year younger and he didn't quite play with the same quality of line mates granted I think you're 100% right on all those.

20:50Is it easy though to play with Ivan Demidov I know Ivan Demidov makes the game look easy but Ivan Demidov doesn't do traditional things on the ice right he does things that special players do on the ice and to be able to keep up with him and have instant chemistry like you talk about you need to have a player. You need to have a player who reads the game and has a similar IQ I think that says a lot of a capinan. Capinan's biggest strength I find on the ice as he knows exactly where to be he's a coach of sun. Yeah well I mean that that helps coach a son GM's nephew like there's all kinds of things that you can you can add and he just he's a rink rat he grew up on the ice and. One of the things with with Ivan especially early on last season is that Alex new hook and an Oliver capinan just knew where to be like just we were conditioned to think that the center is the line driver but we're about to see this season I expect a significant bump in Ivan Demidov's play just seeing him skate recently.

21:51Just make yourself available and I think having the where with all in the ice combined with the shooting ability you don't really need much more I'd like to see him diversify because you know it would be fun. As a line to see them set up Ivan to shoot a little bit more as opposed to being past first once that element is added and he's a little bit more comfortable you're going to have you know a player that is able to produce. A little bit more freely than simply just being the trigger man but there's nothing wrong with being the trigger man to a guy like Ivan Demidov because the hardest thing to do in this league is score goals. Speaking of capinan what do you think is more likely to happen over the next couple of years he centers a second line over the next couple of years he centers a third line. Or is a trade ship. I think I see center and when I say centers a third line filled the nose going into the final year of his contract so I think a lot of it would have to do with that or this filled the know if he sticks around an extension and the being a fourth line player or is there no role there because Florian Jack I ends up being a fourth line sentiment or will Florian Jack I be on the wing and a dono or an Evans will center that line.

23:07I think you can never have too many centers so pushing some to the wing would be a luxury that the Canadians haven't had in well over a decade. Where I think I would take it is ideally ideal world he's your third line center of the future ideal world but if the if the Canadian see throughout the season that maybe it's not working out with Michael Hage as a true centerman is an all situation centerman with Michigan. And then perhaps you know either Michael or Oliver captain become that trade ship to allow them some level of security because teams aren't looking for prospects for say they're looking for some level of immediate help well if captain's producing that would allow them to perhaps go and get that immediate help knowing that maybe if he were to sign long term that number would be a little too high to stomach within that context so there is the possibility. I still believe that the Canadians have full faith in Michael Hage and respect his decision to go back because he wants to be that drop in play top six center but if you have captain is your three C you're in business in my opinion when it comes to competing.

24:19What I asked you about captain you talked about when the Canadians acquired Alex Nuuk and when they acquired Kirby doc when they acquired doc it was the draft day four years ago just over four years ago and they gave him a four year deal at three point three. Six two million dollars and when they acquired Alex Nuuk I believe it was the year after they gave him a four year deal at two point nine million dollars the cap obviously has gone up substantially since then once again there's a player here who's 22 year old centerman who picked up 17 goals and 35 points and Fraser minted was just signed the seven year deal at over seven million dollars per season. You mentioned that you see all over a cap in the Canadians probably signing them to a three year contract extension so a bridge before maybe getting a long term deal later down the line at what number. Yeah I mean that's that's what I think the sweet swap would be like a three year in the five million dollar range if he continues to improve right like that's that's where it would go but it like obviously the higher the term the higher the amount will be unless you're in a you know you're you're in an aging category but out of your entry.

25:25Level contract you know three in the five million dollar range makes a lot of sense especially if he improves now if we're in the midpoint of the season in East trending for 30 goals that conversation is going to change right maybe you're going to want to go a little more long term maybe you want to secure the asset but in terms of being able to have that flexibility. The Canadians as you said like if they truly believe in a player that player is signed long term immediately as soon as they're available and we know the captain has been eligible to sign an extension since the first of July that isn't to say he's not part of the long term plans that's just maybe they want to see a little bit more because remember he was and he was off and on in the lineup and found his way to the to to to to to being in the rafters yeah with the rest of the with the rest of the injured players by the end of the season so you need that assurance that this is a great deal. Assurance that this is an all day every day full season player yeah by the way the way captain ended the regular season or the playoffs for me doesn't diminish what I think about him he wouldn't be the first player to hit a wall in an 82 game season in the final month of the season and to have some growing pains in the playoffs as a young player he wouldn't be the first player and he's not going to be the last.

26:37So did minton case in point and I think pointless six games in the playoffs exactly and you know I believe strongly that these rookies learn from those they come in ready the following season so I'm not expecting a regression in in in captain's perspective in fact I expect him to be even better than he was and I expect to be a significant lead better than what he was and if that's the kind of player that you're going to be getting if he's going to be playing on that second line then it boasts well for captain's production as well and I think that could be used to the Canadians advantage and that it be you know in terms of their negotiations being able to position themselves when it comes to the contract discussions with with captain or to prop them up as a trade ship to go and get the piece you really need. You know these are the conversations you need to have but you got to give to get in this league you want players that are in this league that could help them today that's a good player that you can bank on if thing if the Canadian start with the current roster that they have.

28:41Single came in loud and clear by the way and all kidding aside and Mario long while I was hosting the show. The ball and there's a segment called the premier trio which is going to be a regular this year on Mondays with myself step and wait and Luisa joining Mario and there was a question that Luisa throughout which we had different opinions on in studio and I love the question because I think if you ask for different people you can get four different answers those are types of. Questions that I love and the question was something to the effect of big expectations on the Canadians this season they keep on getting better and better rebuild started they finished last the year after that they finished fifth last the year after that they were a little bit better but still fifth last the year after that they made the playoffs they got in on the final game of the regular season when they beat the car line of hurricanes but they bowed out in round one five games versus Washington last year 106 points.

29:49In the regular season for the Montreal Canadians 101 points for Nick Suzuki 51 goals for Colcafield. Slap hit 30 and 73 points. Laynuts and jumped from 66 points to 78 points. Ivan Demidovich is rookie season at 19 goals and 62 points and finished second and rookie voting for the rookie of the year all of our cap and his rookie season had 22 goals. Back of the job is rookie season ended up becoming the number one goal tender for the Montreal Canadians and arguably the best goalie in the playoffs. The Canadians were spectacular they were offensive the list goes on and on and because of that a lot of people expect them to take the next step. They expect this team to be better. Whether it's from a production standpoint a point standpoint or a just a team standpoint most the coach the management team of Gordon Hughes.

30:51The players the fan base who in your opinion expects the most out of this team this upcoming season. The players and I'll break it down I think I think management has a fair expectation I think the team has already blown by their expectations in terms of where they would be at this point and I think they're working hard to try and feed. I think this team additional firepower so that they could reach that next level but until then those expectations are a little tame internally and from the fan base I think the fan base sees this the same way they're excited for the season but they feel and they're waiting for that big trade so that it could really put the team over the top and that that bar could be raised. None of that matters in that dressing absolutely zilch matters for them they have to be better than that they were last year and if you've seen Ivan Demadov or Nick or Nick Suzuki skate the summer or spoken to some of the players are seeing the way the lane Hudson's been training those guys put it on themselves to be a better team to to go into not necessarily the regularly season and we talk about 106 points they want to go into the playoffs and be a harder team.

32:09And be a harder team to play against they don't want to have to go through to seven game series before reaching an eastern conference final again they want to be able to close those games out earlier and that requires them to be stronger faster stronger looking you know spending more time in the video room as well and to me that bar is set much higher internally than we could imagine because. Tony I remember talking to those guys during the playoffs they you know no one saw or few people saw them going to the eastern conference finals and after losses you know they took it very personally they took it to the point where they expected so much more out of themselves and i'm talking about the leaders of this team the lane Hudson's the nix is the cocafials and. You can almost see that they got a taste of how close it is to get to the Stanley Cup already in this young rebuild they're going to come back even hungrier as this team and they are they're ready for it I don't think there's there's no wrong answer to this question there is i'm not going to tell you that my opinion is better or worse than yours I don't think there's a wrong answer but the reason why I love the question is Louis j'a who asked the question himself last night.

33:17His answer was Marty seeing Louis. Your answer was the players my answer is going to be the fans and the reason I say that is. Yes, the players were pissed off when they got eliminated last year versus Carolina, but I think the players realized. We could have used the second line sentiment I think the players realized we could have used the power for it on the second line I think the players realized we could have used a big strong physical energy player in the fourth line I think the players realized we could have used a big strong stay at home right end of defense into play with lane Hudson, but I think the players also realize that they're building something when. Rot bring them or shook hands with Marty saying the we at the end of that series he said something to the effect of. Hey. I you know I know what you're going through i've been there Marty saying the we says yeah I know you have and you know like you know how I feel right now we lost and we lost and it's things and Marty says yeah but you know like you guys are coming right like i've been there and Marty's like yeah I know you've been there.

34:29And so. Rod bring them or was the assistant coach of the Carolina Erickins for seven years before being their head coach for the last eight years in which prior to winning the Stanley Cup he was eliminated once in round one three times in round two three times in round three. It took a while to get there they added pieces along the way they gained all kinds of experience along the way as much as the players. Expect more I also think that they look at the situation and say. We beat Tampa but they could have beat us we be Buffalo but they could have beat us Carolina beat us you know rather convincingly we're still young we're still not there we still need to add pieces we still need to gain experience. As Nick Suzuki said when he said what stood out about Carolina is how detailed and how connected they were which leads me to believe that he's thinking that his team was less detailed and less connected so I think the players.

35:38Yeah they want to win and I think Marty yeah he wants to win and I think the management team yeah they want to win but they realize they have that pieces now you said the fan base will get excited when they add those pieces. But the fan base is like okay you didn't add anybody. Because you probably think that other teams are hurting themselves by adding players you don't have to but I think the fan base expects more I think the fan base expects the Canadians to do more than hundred six points and I think the fan base expects the Canadians to go to the Stanley Cup final. That's what I think I don't know we'd have to ask all the fans. But it's a question no I it's an interesting question it would be a good poll question but I I think the fans also kind of understand that you know what happened last year there is an acceptability that the Canadians reproduce the same season with with better underlying results but maybe don't get to the Stanley Cup final don't win the Stanley Cup with this existing roster I think the hope is.

36:41That a major trade happens amongst the fan base so that it helps put them over the top because as of right now it would be a little probably some natural improvement from experience but more of the same until they could add some of those key pieces. Considering that a trade hasn't taken place yet and here we are on the 8th of September and rookie cap opening up on Friday the golf tournament on Monday and of course pro cap then preseason games the season is around the corner of the games will open up their season on Tuesday the 29th of September. Can you recall a significant trade. We're a top six at forward or a top four on the happened a couple of weeks before the season started. Man I asked the one that will always ring true is Phil Castle yeah but Phil kept long time ago.

37:42No no that's it I mean. I have to go off the top of my head I have to think about it but I I've we've seen we've seen some movement last year no honestly the flat cap kind of ruined that count that concept I think we'll see more of it now yeah prior to covid yeah there were definitely some some trades in the in the September region and a lot of it had to do with contract stalling that's that's generally what it is it and you know one of the one of the elements that would lead me to believe that that's still a part of the season. Possibility not a sure thing but a possibility is the fact that the CBA changes are kicking in exactly a week from now yeah where you'll longer be able to extend players for eight years as of the 15th of September I think it's only going to be seven. Exactly but I think you know the eight years maybe more of a crutch the thing that's being used the most in these in these discussions right now for contracts is the signing bonus amount which is going to be capped at 60% of the total value of a contract and how much you can front loaded deal right you look at Ivan Demadov and Lane Hudson's

38:43contract heavily front loaded and heavy signing bonus yeah there are some players that are negotiating contracts that would like to benefit from those things before the 16th of September comes along that was the selling point those contracts were in getting done without those things especially the signing bonuses the upfront money the guaranteed money I think there's two things that can happen in terms of a possible shake and bake for the Canadians one there's a goalie that gets hurt a number one goalie gets hurt and camp for a team and then all of a sudden montaples name comes up again and there's a possibility and the other thing that I'm looking at very attentively of course as is the entire hockey world is what's going to happen with the cutter go to a situation because should they be able to get them under contract they have no other choice but the sheds salary and when they do the Canadians could be one of those teams that can bounce I don't even add Columbus to that because when Adam Fantilly re-signs if it's going to be upwards of 14 million will be right up against the cap you sure Merz Leakins may start on LTIR but it's not like what it was in the past you only saved 3.8 million short term and then they'll have to shed salary again so what happens in Columbus you know and then after and then after they get

39:53Fantilly that money and then they're going to have to deal with Marchenko at the end of the season oh I think that the true dark cloud over call over Columbus is not Marchenko it's Warensky and whether or not they're going to be able to afford to pay him 20 plus million dollars a year they're leaving Warensky is not going to be a Columbus Blue Jacket long term and neither is Marchenko that's that's just that's my got I I I have no inside information but I take a look at that team and I take a look at their players and yes Marchenko is a very good player and yes Fantilly is a very good player and yes Warensky is a very good player I don't think they have enough of them I don't think they have enough great prospects I don't think they have a deep enough team and I think if they look at it these players look at it and saying okay number one winning heritage do we have it no Columbus Blue Jackets have never won if they win a playoff series it's like saying they won the Stanley Cup they've never won

40:55number two Traditionally is a place where big name players want to play there's been examples of course Traditionally no number three Who are they better than right now? Who are they better than in the short term? Who are they better in in the long term and who do they have a better chance of winning the Stanley Cup? And I think I can rattle off 12 teams off the top of my head right now That have a more legitimate shot to have a better team than Columbus right now and a better chance of Columbus Of winning a Stanley Cup or Stanley Cups in the next five years So once the players do that same exercise in their head and their agents do it as well Unless they get ridiculous ridiculous money And the acceptance with it that they Chats are they're not going to win a Stanley Cup, but They're going to make big money Why would they stay considering that? They'd make that money elsewhere anyway

41:55And I don't I don't see them staying Merkel No, and to be completely honest, I think what really burned in a hurt Columbus Was the draft record between 2021 and 2025. I think yeah, that you know, Kaden Lindstrom You know, there's still there's still a chance, but the It's a long shot for him to live up to that potential. You look at Ken Johnson. They haven't unlocked that potential David Yearcheck Did not work out either so it just you miss out on those top end picks and that has repercussions long-term Because you're counting on that they had a chance at them. You thought They did they had a chance at Demidov they had a chance with Hudson that like the list goes on and on and I think that really hurts them and if you don't have that elite level talent coming in They have a good prospectful, but they don't have gamebreakers coming in that are going to be able to help elevate this team Outside of what Don Wendell can do It's not like for example Anaheim still has Klepov Anaheim still has Roger McQueen that they still have top-end prospects that they're going to be funneling in Yeah, it's not the same thing so Columbus it's a little bit more dire because that core is older
