He was a kitchen No, well he was about old I think at the time he would have been 18 or 19 I can't remember He's cooking basically Anthony board a just travel the globe learning how to cook and he's the sober one too you guys were all dry out. What did he do? Yeah, well, so he's a bit he'll he'll he'll put on the apron He'll do the cooking. All right, so we had a bunch of had a bunch of meat trays and what not one of the trays He had there was a bunch of chicken nibbles, wasn't it? So he's going to cook it all up and then everyone ever aren't having a good time and then by time we ran Starts nibbling on those chicken nibbles. Yeah, um, don't we all like just pink

9:29You like your chicken nibble medium-rare Just Literally proceeded to eat these pink chicken nibbles. I Didn't actually because they're all gone by Tom always again Well they're all gone by Tom. Tragically died at the age of 61, killed instantly when his car skidded off a downhill bend, hit a tree during the target West Rally in Western Australia. Real soup dump car as well. This coming bathest, because it's 20 years, they're dedicating the years of enter, honoring him. So they're going to set up a massive Brock experience at Bathurst, which includes Peter's pit lane, displaying his original cars, and a giant interactive dome in Bathurst called Brocky's helmet. Oh, that's such a cool idea. That's going to be there at Bathurst this year. That's cool.

24:49I see we've got a little bit of audio to play too, and that has a bunch of the current drivers, Yes. Young and old, talking about Peter Brock. It does have a listen. The second last time, Peter Brock, and the wheel of a car that on this track this day has recorded a classic victory. Brocky's motor sport, Brocky's Bathurst. Peter Brock is the Spoon of Young, 27 year old, no, Bernian. Peter Brock was one of the guys I used to follow, even though I was a Ford fan, I had a soft spot for Peter Brock. I was drawn to the O5. Didn't matter what brand he was driving. Yeah, Peter Brock was one of those guys. I remember when I was younger, that it was like a gold. Because of the success he had, the legend he was, the type of person he was as well. He said, standard, four drivers of perfection around the mountain. He was the breakthrough of creating that commercial reality of what drivers are all about,

25:49and sharing what experiences drivers go through inside a race car, and bringing the fans and the people into the race car. He really related to the people he bought, the people on the journey with him. He is the most credentialed driver around Bathurst. He's driven all the times, he's wanted to do it in many different ways, many different cars, went in by six laps, it's completely unheard of these days. So, there's no data back then, there was no onboard technology to study, they just were free-stylers, and you could see the way he drove. He just wheeled those that car. And he's just hurling it around. I mean, this is some of the most spectacular motoring. It doesn't matter where you go, anywhere in the world, you won't see anybody driving on the limit. Quite like Brock is now. Those two Peter Brock trophies, they mean so much more than a race. So, to obviously have your hands on the trophy, there's no feeling that can describe it. This weekend has been all about the fair willing and great man, Peter Brock,

26:50the friend and mentor to Craig Brown. To hold the Peter Brock trophy for the first time was massive, I think, that's a dream come true to know that my name will always be the first on that trophy. Ten years in the waiting, Louse and Wincraft doing the usual incredible race. I'm a good driver, mate. Unbelievable. Louse has done it, on the day he fair-welfish, friend. I'm not superstitious, but I know there's a lot of things that went on that day that went in our favour. And I have no doubt that Peter had some sort of part of the result, even having the finishing gap between Rick and I as 0.05. Great stuff. You can see that if you text her, the word Brock, the three far twos are that whole bit there. Tribute to Peter Brock, he won Bathurst nine times, which has never been touched. I sand down nine times as well, the sand down 500 as well. And he was known as King of the Mountain, obviously.

28:51You know, it's one of those moments, where you were when you get the news of someone passing on a suit too early. And it was just a bit just a tragedy through that period of time. Yeah. Murf, it's miles here. What made Peter Brock the great driver that he was? Well, I don't know exactly what made him the great driver because he was just naturally gifted. You know, he was just an icon. I mean, he was the guy that, you know, I idolized when I was growing up. My go-kart number was 05, you know, my, you used to get the mobile Peter Brock merchandise sent out from Australia and all that kind of stuff. And, you know, my first sort of ever meeting of the man was at the Wellington Street race. And the late 80s and down there on the waterfront, it was actually he was going through a bit of a strange period and his life with manufacturers, he was actually driving BMWs at the time.

29:51And my mate and I were down there were sort of standing looking at these BMWs and Peter Brockers in the background. And we were just sort of standing there like, you know, mesmerized because like most people were by the guy. And he wandered over and said, get out to us. Like literally, we were just standing there. And it was just sort of start shaking. I was one of those moments, you know, because he was just such an incredible driver. And that was him. That's what made him who he was and why he was so revered and loved because he just treated everyone exactly the same. And that was the case when I was his teammate, which again was another incredibly special time, you know, considering, you know, when, you know, how long I'd been sort of following the man. But he treated everyone the same, the fans, he treated the same. And it was genuine. He was absolutely did set genuine about it. It was just that something like very much learnt from him, his patience around the fans, how he appreciated that they were giving him this chance to be who he was.

30:51And his driving skill set was, yeah, he was just a naturally gifted man behind the wheel. And he just, he made a look like magic. Price here, mate. So with Brocky, what was he like out of the car? Obviously, he run nose a skill set in it. What was he like out? He was this guy. He was that's who he was. He was he's a few jars. I never, well, I missed all that time. For the time, by the time I sort of met him and knew him and became his teammate, his life had changed. She was a camera model. He was with his drink. But I missed the days and the stories and their stories. But before he sort of tidied himself up and bits and pieces and bebes sort of came along and straightened him. And the straightener only sort of started to see things a bit differently and believe in a few different interesting things. He was definitely someone who enjoyed life before that time and was able to do it because

31:56of his skill set and just his popularity and all that kind of thing. But when I got to meet him and be a part of you know, being his team mate and bits and pieces, he was very very changed man.
