This is a podcast from Rover
The Morning Rumble podcast with the all-new skip button perfect for Bryce's interview questions
Did mention this yesterday was all over everywhere in the weekend
It was on Netflix Netflix live skyscraper live Alex Honnold was his name and he free climbed the one of the tallest buildings in the world
Called Taipei 101
508 meters
No rope nothing just bang straight up and just for perspective if you missed it before sky tower and all can
388 meters
over
180 meters on top of that is
Rogers 1.2 meters
1.25
So I watched you can watch it now. I watch this not live my hands were sweating watching this
I mean, I'm not a fan of heights. No, I mean, I've got the less fan I am
No, I'm with your Bryce. Yeah, so he's just got a climb and he's you know some parts. I mean, they're not easy
Roach get scared on that seat sometimes
While we're here
So no ropes get enough on that one is there
No, no, no, no
So here's a little bit is like a minute of what he had to face climbing this building, which is called Taipei 101 in Taiwan
It's awesome Taipei 101 is one of the world's tallest buildings
It is huge
And Alex's mission is to climb the entire
1600 and 67 feet of this skyscraper without ropes known as free soloing live on TV
372 feet of sloped steel and glass
He'll encounter two 14 feet high metal structures called the Ruiwi the first major obstacles on his journey next
Eighth daunting bamboo boxes that sit on top of each other like a bamboo stock each with a strength sapping overhang
900 feet of straight up vertical climb the final and most dangerous stage of the
entire climb the tower
Made up of the overhangs where his arm strength will be key the rings with very limited holds and
The spire with a stomach turning drop. This is the most dangerous section will a physically and mentally exhausted
Alex make it to the summit a
small steel sphere
Well, he might it
Yeah
Alex Honnold has made history again
She could have given that a bit more I think yeah, well the commentaries are pretty appalling to be honest
It's so good
I know because we gave that the green light. I mean it's fantastic
Yeah, in this time of appalling stuff that's happening in the world and even here in New Zealand sad stuff and all that
It's a nice distraction. We're having the discussion off here like to see something like that because it's so unique
And you like you know just take your mind off everything else for a little bit
But it's incredible how that got the go ahead because a lot of other guys try to climb these buildings and get a rest
Of course, yeah, but there must be must have got the green light in Taiwan. There's a 10 second delay
Oh
So you got up there. I mean, I would have got straight back down. He's up there for a long time
You wouldn't have been up there
How would you have got an up there? Well, I wouldn't have gotten up there miles. I'm just saying
So you can't pass judgment
Wendy was that he was up there for so long before
He's still problems
Took him around 90 minutes wasn't it
And he was and he was listening to tall. Yes
Someone saw a creature
Great he pointed out in the comment section because
Tall had posted how he had said he was listening to
And one of the top comment was he might have got through one song
Now preach you've set up a bounce back for us to see this. It's climb isn't it 3520
Climb 3520 that shows you the explanation
Of what's going on and also shows that terrifying scene when he gets to the top and is standing on the sphere
The selfies at the top and he's just waving down the bottom 500 meters up in the sky and I'm like
I would just I'd fall my fall off
I'll come back you will you although out of any of us
Creech is the one who's been that high
You got me
And it's here
You do the Netflix special please
It does
We have an on 10 second delay
What was that white powder in the back of
Our lips just broken down
The grip strength
It's incredible
They're speaking of that now I may imagine creatures Netflix special now much you've done some research
Mystic much this year looking into the future for us aren't you
Yeah have you guys all
You've wanted to have your own Netflix show
Not really
What would it be
Well I'll come in and tell you needs
Sure
One of the greatest rock climbers now building climbers in the world
Climb the tallest building in Taiwan called Taipei 101
One of the tallest buildings in the world
5008 meters he climbed it over the weekend live
No ropes have he had a full and half he would have fallen to his death
On Netflix Netflix special
How is the wind so windy
Also, I've reached to that you can text climb 2520
I'll flick the Mac bounce back but you're like the wind the fiery got
The more it was Monday and they showed the footage
If you haven't seen any of it but like with a family and friends in there
Like 80 stories up in the waving and there he is on the outside climbing up
And you can just see the wind hitting him you're like
Oh you don't need you don't need any extra elements
No
That's not really helping
Slow windy brice
Hey look here's a whole bunch of people you could possibly lose
Yeah
I just just unbelievable pressure
What a Netflix special it really was
And mystical match are looking into the future this morning
Mystical match with powers divine
Buckle up precise
He'll blow your mind
Merch good morning mate
Good morning
Good morning
Now looking into the future
If we were to have Netflix specials
The show us what what would they be
Netflix obviously expanding their offerings
Looking at new ways of reaching new markets
Yeah and they've started with the morning rumbles
Right
It's exciting
And you're new
No I mean
Oh my Netflix special okay
Yeah
Your Netflix special would be titled
Exponential Growth
Oh okay
Interesting
Oh wait what does that entail
Money doesn't grow on trees
But one man finds out if his money can grow his knees
Roger apparently towards the world
Looking for the best surgeon money can buy
To install leg extensions on his underdeveloped lower limbs
I would watch that
Sort of like a
Like a travel medical mix
Why does that share 70-30
You can give those leg extensions
Yeah
Yeah
Watch it on my special
Police
Yeah
Your Netflix special
Sort of a spin off from Stranger Things
Stranger-looking Things
Yeah
The story of a man who abused a scout
With decks wax and terrible haircuts in his youth
Now searches for answers after his hair goes missing
Oh no
A search for hair like a dog
Shut up
You'll be gone for Stranger Things
Oh
Balze
Yes
Your Netflix special would be
And it's uh you know those untold dockos
Like the full of favour
Oh the great sports dock ones
Yours would be untold
The collapse of radio sport
I'm not
Holy responsible
For me but my fingerprints are all over it
The nether-before-told tale of how one rock radio announced it
The crowd goes wild
Hoesporter once flourishing sports
Talk back institution to its knees
I'll watch that
Interesting
I'll watch that
I'll take part in it
I'll take part in it
I'll be like
My bad
Rest in peace radio sport
Sorry to the question so
You got 50 seats
You put Netflix and this is the last one as well
Now your Netflix special would be
And it's the next installment you know the monster series
Had dharma and the mini-news
Oh yeah
This one's either the horror ones
Yeah it used to be monster
Malabit
Perfect
Thanks mate
Best yet
Why?
The story in the book
It's terrifying woman
We stalked ones even produced
They've had some horrors
A 12-part series where one woman searched for love
Engine who's scaring away every single one
Oh that's just nasty
That's just nasty
I'm not a single one
It's nasty
I don't know that man
12 eps
I think we'll watch that
I'll watch that
You know that
Mystical merch
I can't get out of here
I don't like it that way
None of them are being funded
Oh
Unbelievable
On my classic Kiwi Fidla
You are man
Don't look at me like that
Morning Rumble podcast
He's told us too much of a terrible youngster
We all can't have good yarns like Brice
Will he brice?
Get a mate
I like that
Yes good good
Roger you're saying before
You know is it the
luckiest unlucky fight
Or the unluckyest lucky fight
Oh they're all really exposed
One of those sorts of things
Now you might have heard the story
You might not
But quite incredible
In late 2003
British woman Dorothy Fletcher
Was on board a flight from Manchester to Florida
And she suffered a horrific heart attack
On the transatlantic flight
I mean
Horrible
Yeah
Horrible to happen
In a stunning coincidence
The plane was carrying 15 cardiologists
All heading to a medical conference
What are the chances
The experts
So they put out the call on the plane
Is there a doctor on board
Yes
There's 15
Who specialise in heart trauma
Unbelievable
The experts coordinated to administer emergency care
Stabiliser before the pilot diverted the flight
Dorothy hospitalised
Made a remarkable full recovery
Attending her daughters wedding the following week
Wow
She was going
Medical
That is a medical miracle
Medical miracle
Cool story
Yeah
All these heart people
cardiologists on boards
Yeah
Just when they needed to be
You know
And so you start to think about those medical miracles
Because they do occur
I mean you with your wife Emma
Miles
Yeah
And it goes back to sort of the cove
When she had COVID
She got few years ago
Yeah
So I reckon like 2020
Toe maybe
Yeah
When it was like the domic
The domicron or the
Alta belter
What am I going to do
It was so many different things
Coming on me coming on me
Delta
Could it was one of the strength
Anyway
She actually bought an Omicron
Yeah
It was him
He dropped a Delta
He is
He's an origin
But she actually ended up
She collapsed
During the night one night
So she had it real bad
She had a real bad
And it turns out she had the OG COVID
Right
Which is really weird
Because it was two years
After it had been introduced
Anyway
So she collapsed in the middle of the night
And I was like
That's not good
Because we were tested positive
So what isolated
I rang health line
And I gave them the symptoms
They were like
No, no, we're sending ambulance right now
And I was like
Okay
Because she actually had stroke like symptoms
And then
So they had to test everything
And they found an aneurysm
There were no idea that she had
And completely unrelated
Completely unrelated
But they found it
And then two years later
She had a coil stuck in
That's right
A brain
To stop it growing
Because it had been growing
They had a CT scan then
And the MRI to check its progress
It was growing
So was the collapse in that
From the COVID or was from the
From the aneurysm
Yeah
Because she was just
She had stroke like symptoms
Obviously the brain
And the blood flow
And all that kind of stuff
Yeah
Wild
Wild, COVID saved my life
Yeah
That's a medical miracle
Yeah
What are your medical miracles
800 rock phone
You can text them as well
3520
Somewhere your mum was
Brice, which we can get to next
Yeah
Well, it's another aneurysm story
But it wasn't like
One that
Was sitting there
That could go off
At full wind
And where we were at a time
Saved my mum's life
Wow
That's good to know
After the blank keys
Medical miracles
It's a miracle, Roger
Medically that you can urinate
Out of that massive force
Can you
Oh, bro
Whoa
What
What
That could have done with its own
Break, but yeah fair enough
Because we just had a cool story
Before if you just joined us
The unluckiest, luckiest
Flight
Thank you so much
That way you were
A woman was suffering
A mid-flight heart attack
On a Manchester to Florida
Journey
Got the luckiest
Medical help imaginable
Because there were 15
Cardiologists were on board
As she had this massive heart attack
They were able to answer the call of
Is there a doctor on board
They all came round
Made it formed a little
Team
Of medical avengers
And saved her life
They diverted the plane
She was able to make her daughter's
Wedding which was where she was going
Unbelievable
I wish they did
Yeah
Awesome
Perfect
So where was your mum brisely
As she shouldn't need and wasn't she
Yeah, we were on a family holiday
1994
I will never forget it
Because, yeah, 1994
On holiday
We were staying at our friend's house
And then one morning
I could, I was laying in bed
And I could hear mum just sort of like
Making this horrible noise
Like in pain
And I was going on there
And got up and I've never seen that look on my dad's face before
You know, you remember those sorts of things
Yeah
And he was super concerned
In any way, long story short
ambulance turns up
Mum gets put in the ambulance
And she'd had a brain aneurysm
That's a reference
And like so
Best way to describe them
Well, it's like a little vein in your brain
But it explodes right
Yeah
So the pain was all the blood going over a brain
And they talk about that being
Like they can't even sort of
Vocalize how painful it is
No, right, you can't
A lot of people will die on the spot
And then there's all these
Stats as to
Your chances of survival, etc
Anyway, the weekend that mum happened to have this
As we're on holiday
And to need in which I've said before
Was a
Neurosurgeon's convention
Indened
Indened
Because that's where the school of medicine and stuff is
And so yeah, there was a professor
His name was Grant
Grant Gillette
Grant Gillette
Professor Grant Gillette
Or Nut Gillette
Anyway
He was there
And he decided to take his whole team of
Neurosurgeons
And they did it almost like as an example
But yeah, it was on the weekend
That she was there and had it
And so
Right, right, right time
Name of Gillette
Yep
Yeah, no
Yeah
Didn't you say he looked like a homeless bump
He looked like a bum
Yeah, like I couldn't believe when he came out
But yeah, it was like a 14 to 16 hour operation
Oh, really?
They cut a plate out of a
Scalch She's got a dint on the side of her head
If you look at her like it's dinted in
So they cut the plate out of the skull
They remove that
And then they go in
And they essentially
In real laymen's terms
Wrap a little coil around that exploded vein
And then they put the plate back in
And then hope that obviously
That there's real good chance
That you'll be left side paralyzed
Or blind or whatever it is
And yeah, it was a miracle
It was a miracle
Yeah, that happened
Like I mean, her friends
Who came and looked after her
About six months later
Had one
And
No, passed away
Like yeah, so there's a huge amount of luck
Yeah, that they're facing that
Yeah
But yeah, a miracle
We're in the right place at the right time
She's so lucky
Well, it was skateboarding
That essentially saved my friend's life
She fell off a skateboard
Broker arm
And as they were fixing her arm
They noticed a lump on her thyroid
And she had thyroid cancer
That had been there for a long time
Yeah, anyone who's been through that
How horrific that is
Had to get a thyroid removed
And yeah, it was such a lengthy process
But hadn't she fallen off
You know, had she not fallen off the skateboard
She probably
It would have been a bit too late
There you go, he's going to get a plane
To need him and go skating
And you'll be fine
You'll be fine
You're medical miracles
No shortage of them
Imagine being on a flight
You have a heart attack
You potentially could die
But on the plane
Cardiologist
15 cardiologists
Going to a seminar
Remarkable timing
And that was your cool story, Bryce
Oh yeah
I wonder if I'll make Dr. John
Who is currently overseas
With the under-19s cricket team actually
Yes
Where we haven't seen him this year
But I wonder if he's ever been the Dr. on board
It's a remark
Because I feel like Dr. John would actually ignore it
I wouldn't want to buy it
I like, is that a cat or a rink
He'll be right
Is that a zombie
Yeah, he's like
No, I'm not
I'm not working
He would
It's remarkable though
Because my daughter's a flight attendant
And if there's anything like this
And it does happen
She said there's always at least a nurse
Or a doctor on board
Or an ex-co
They never need a radio on out
There's never a time with that like
Oh
Zero
Radio broadcaster on board
Just so we'll be like
Yes
Oh no, Sam Wallace is stood up
The pilot's lost his voice
And you need to go into the front and do the announcements
Yeah
Can someone teach us how to talk into the microphone
No, I can't hear what we're saying
Because we always talk like this
And so it's
I wanted to know, you saw Clayton
We got Clayton
Clayton, can I Clayton, how are you mate?
How's it going?
Yes
Medical miracle's Clayton, what happened?
So my sister took a little bit of a tumble
And by memory I think
She'd thought she'd broken some ribs
So she went into the hospital, got checked out
And they did her scan to make sure there was no internal injuries
And they found out that she had cancer
I can't remember what sort it was
And called it early
And she's perfectly fine
Completely fine
Completely fine, it's crazy
If she hadn't of fallen
They'd never would have caught up in time, dear Ken
No
Remarkable
Yeah, so it was pretty cool
Yeah man, that's a good story
That's a good one, mate
You've tried to get a story
So good, so good and good
Want to bring up something when my fingers
I nearly removed my fingers with a lawnmower
How lucky it was
But medical miracle
Miracle that took place that day
Guys, which we can get to next
No
If I think I know what it is, it's absolutely
We won't be doing that
We're going to do something
But Creech has been working hard
Our producer behind the scenes
Bond Scott, absolute legend
Creech
1980
Anniversary of what on the stage
It was the last live show with AC DC
Is it really?
Yeah, January 27th 1980
At Southampton UK
Concluded the highway to Haltor
And then just over three weeks later
He passed away
Page 23
Only 33
So young, if you're 590
You're not that long after
Great stuff Creech
You're a medical miracle, I imagine
Just
I don't know
He just uh
I'm an medical accident
And uh, yeah, look
I'm going to like when I die
I will be donating this body to science
You can't actually do that
Really?
Your organs are riddled
Yeah, well
Little sorts of things
But I think they're going to go in there
They're going to inspecto patronum
And they're going to Cree
And they're going to reutilise my DNA
And they're going to create super soldiers
Super senders
To the front line
How on earth does that man bounce back
Oh, well, we're on our way
Every night
Like a phoenix from the ashes
He always rises
It's a miracle
Get me in a lab
They will, they will study you
That is for sure
Well, there's so many medical
Miracles coming through miles
Texting, thanks for your text 3520
Shaun says my uncle was at the hospital for an appointment
And his aorta
blew up
And they saved him
Apparently there's a 1% chance of survival
He was just lucky
He was at the hospital in Christchurch when it happened
Just the timing
He just happened to be there
Right place, right time
Dan says his daughter
Is a medical miracle
Born without a pulmonary artery
And all thanks to the amazing team at Starship
She's Judith Celebrate
Who's second birthday in March
Oh, I'm good as that
Great to hear you
And Ryan said
My dad had a brain tumor 26 years ago
Was given a 3% chance
Of living longer than 5 years
19 years later developed another brain tumor
Was given 6 to 12 months
And he recently passed away 7 years on
And cancer free
Good on you, Ryan
Thanks for sharing
And the Mrs and I have 4-month-old twin boys
Natural birth, second boy was Breach
And she had the spinal tap in a panadol
And nurses and doctors wanted to be there for the birth
27 minutes apart
But all fatten whales is Aaron
Absolutely, miracle
Just back to my fingers when I knew it
Well, you're not doing this
You didn't nearly die
No, I didn't know that's true
Christ left, he was coming
He's actually gone
It's been too much for Bryce
He doesn't have the studio
No, I did put my fingers under a lawnmower
And that's no miracle
I mean, obviously, they're okay
The fact that that lease was actually home that day
Not, I mean, more of a convenient than a miracle
But the fact that she was home
Because I couldn't even if she were like
If she wasn't home and I nearly chopped my fingers off
I couldn't have got an ambulance that day
Because it was the same day some pea freak
Had kidnapped the car
Jumped in a car and was shooting at cops out of the window
And he drove all the way up the northern motorway in Auckland
And they got him way up north somewhere
So every ambo in the city
Was following this guy
And all the cops
So there were no amboes
So I would have um
Maybe like a dog
I would have just sort of rolled myself until a bush
That's it
Luckily
I bleed out
You wouldn't have bleed out
No, no amboes, no wife
Luckily my lovely wife lease was home
Otherwise, I'm bleeding out on a bush
It's the end of me
You could have driven
You could, yeah, you could have used that
Yeah, you could have driven
Because I look all fine now
There's no scars
No, there's nothing
It's so horrible
They still in town
I went into shock, so it was a miracle
I remember the day I easily got
I remember that day
It was a Friday
It was a Friday
And Elise had run Bryce
Yes, she had
And then Bryce rang me
Yes, yes, yes
And he goes, it's Roger
And then kind of like snuck it
And then what did you think
And then I thought
Oh, Roger's finally dead, eh?
He's finally, he's finally cut it
What have you been finally?
It was eight years ago
I was like mid-47
He's gone
We'll probably get a week or two off
And then he told me what happened
And then what if you wanted to say that
Oh, shit, it was good
Oh, we
We are in for an hour
You're Craig of the year
We faced time, we had drinks
They were giggling
Yeah
Was before my time
We ran through a lot of care at Roger
No, you wouldn't
No, we would have faced time you as well
You want to put some meme up
Yeah
We would have had like a big
I would have got my whiteboard out
And a content plan
Yes
Families have plots, they buy them
Do you got a plot?
No, but then you've lost it
I got
Auckland anniversary yesterday you may have had to work
We worked or you may have had yesterday off
But on yesterday's show
We had a call from Perry
And we wanted to know
This is off the back of something you've said
Coming out of anaesthetic after surgery
Because your wife just had surgery miles last week
What was it she said
Coming out of surgery
She'd had no idea what she was saying about the pork belly
So yeah, those for those who missed this yesterday
This is very good
So they had a menu
That you could order food on the hospital
Anytime, she would have made a peggy as well
Oh yeah
And she was really the menu
And she was like hot mains
Hot mains on the hot mains section
Hot mains, hot mains, gets some pork belly up
And there's batteries
One of the greats for me
Hell yeah
Got on it
And did she feast
She does a neat pork belly
Really?
No, no
Oh my gosh
I know
Yeah, it doesn't need it
Did you order the pork belly?
I had the pork belly
No, it's a credit to the kitchen
Yeah, it's a life for you
And nice
Oh god, that's a lot of buffet
We heard from Perry
Family Secrets, have a listen
Ah, so great uncle
And um, Councillor
Goes in surgery
Coming out of anesthetic
Besides telling everybody that he's got a whole lot of family
So we'll see
Everyone thought he was just cooked
And coming off the anesthetic
Apart from one of his kids
So they jumped on a Facebook
And did a bit of Facebook detecting
And found the person
And
Yeah, she's a couple of kids and everything
They've been together for like 20 years
Also, oh my goodness
Um, he was doing the offshore oil breaks
So whenever he's going to work
He was, he was in the go see
He was doing some other exploration
He was doing some exploring
What a way to come out
How did they go down with the family?
Ah, not well
That is what you can imagine
No
That's right
Perry, what a laugh
He found it hilarious
Yeah, the story
We do want to know your family secrets
I don't have to rock though, I'm texting 3520
Brice had to shoot off, he's got a sick kid
But Creech, you're welcome, mate
Your last name is King
Yes
Jaden King for those who don't know
And you're front of that
I don't think we've all got a full name
Oh, yeah
Oh, wow
Oh, wow
Oh, gosh
We're about to lose me now
I'm a fugitive
You've just given my full name
There's all of them you're dealing with
That's, that's right here what I want
Yeah, I've all of these creatures
The story won't make sense
Oh, but your last name is King
Right
And you're from the Nacky, Teranacky
Yep, the same place as our boss Brad is from
His last name is King
It's not that big a place
You and Brad have got to be related
Surely
Both Brad is
We both Brad is
Both love a sesh
And both sometimes sound like we've
smoked a whole pack of
Rothy Reds
Oh, yeah
Oh, my gosh, Roch
Jeep is
That gets me going
That is provocative isn't it
Like our boss Brad
Have you also been arrested for kicking a tree?
Oh, good question
Good question
Wow
You know what
I actually haven't been arrested
I've been arrested
You can't be related
Maybe he's a long-lost cousin
Rather than a father
He's been digging here
Apparently that's the only reason he hired me
He saw my last name and went
He's in
Probably
You probably smite some trees actually
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah
Oh, dear
What do you use the illegitimate?
Yeah, yeah, maybe
Maybe, maybe, maybe
Oh, we do want to know your family secrets
Oh, I heard a rock phone text in 3520
We've found some beauties
Which we can present to you
Next time we're guys
And also
There's a phone
I've got an awkward family trick
Oh, oh my god, Mouse
You are right
We need to get to this
Yeah, yeah
Oh boy
Is it more of a great vibe?
Oh, yes
It's been pruned on one side
Brice had a shoot off just before
He's got a sick kid, sick son
So Craig, you're in the hot seat again this morning
Yes, actually, you were last Tuesday too
This just could be a thing
It could be a thing
And usually thing
Tuesday's a terrible for me
Was that
Ah, well
Yeah, I'm just
Take it on face
He says it
But it's an honor to be here
It is fantastic
It's an honor to be Mr Tyson
So Miles, we've talked about
This a bit on the show
But for those who don't know
Your family tree
Yes
A bit suspect
Yeah, my
My
Dad's side
His grandmother
My grandmother
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Her cousin
Was um
Their cullins
Yep
Now, cullin
She married
Robin Bain
And they had a son
David
Yes
Oh my gosh
My
Oh, I just asked Google
Gemini, a
Chat GBT version
Who he is
He's my third cousin
How that works
Oh, so does
Yes, cousin
So I think he's my third cousin
Yeah, there's Ty there
Yeah, have you ever met him?
No, you didn't see him with a family reunion or something
No, well the
Smaller numbers now
Yeah
Yeah
How long have you known this?
Did you know when it was
Obviously no
No, didn't know back then
When did you find out?
A few years after
Quite a few years after
Yeah
But yeah, that's
David Bain
Yeah
It's a connection
It's a connection to the advice
Yeah
Okay
He's on the bat now, right
He's an Aussie, I think
Yeah
So we don't catch up
No
Well, you should
No, don't go well
But what about any
Closer members of your family
Like obviously you've never seen him, has anyone else?
No, no
No, no
Just left it
Did you have a friend who turned up?
No, so I used to have a horse
Yes, the horse, okay
And how are you related to that?
No
A horse and just turned up
And he turned up with the
What would you call him like an intern?
Yeah, he was David Bain
David Bain wanted to get into
Horse Dentistry
And yeah, he had him
With him, so I actually met him
And my horse at the time
Hated men
Yeah
Absolutely hated men
Love David
She was so well-behaved
Wow
And we had really good chats, actually
Yeah
Lovely time
And then I was like
You always have a bit in common
It's funny, isn't it?
It's funny
It is weird, isn't it?
Yeah
She had a dog that was like
Anxious
Anxious
I get an anxiety pillow
Yeah, it's weird
And a horse that hated men
Oh my god
She's now
I should never own an animal
Oh dear
So nice
But what is your family secret
In your family male?
Not the story, not David Bain
This was just one of the life at my mum
Rickard and I was switched to birth
Because she was in the birthing unit
With another woman who
Had liked to have a few
Rose A's or wines
While she was
Yeah, unfortunately
Okay
When my mum gave birth to me
Apparently I was an angelic
Just beautiful little thing
And then both the babies went off
And then
Mum gets handed this baby
And all of a sudden it was
Devil Child
And it was just a funny chat
That she reckon when Bain switched to birth
With the other women
And over time, Mum's like a definitely had it
Yeah, no, you don't think you were switched to birth
All right
You've got on ancestry.com
No, I haven't
I don't
Don't
Yeah, I wouldn't
I will just leave it there, I
You'll need to speak on me during anxiety pillow
Yeah
You know, you might not want to find out
No
Some secrets would just get a lift, right?
Yeah
Yeah, okay
So new
Because I took a DNA test a few years ago
It was actually to prove that I wasn't
Much of Sun
Damn, sorry
That much
That would be weird
That much wasn't my sign
Because much we do look similar
We do look similar
And your dad, his name is Roger
Yeah, Roger Fart
There's four leaders separating your two names as well
And the love of radio as well
Yeah, both got into radio
Oh no
So we took this DNA test and we deproved that you weren't my son
And he's he's not
Wow
Yeah, it's hard to believe
I know
Which I was furious about
Because I thought I was getting a sloth
Then here it is
We're getting a batch
So I got this DNA test
I'll come back and tell you next
Okay
Prove something in my family
That had been long rumored
For some years
Okay
About
The whereabouts and ancestry of my grandmother
Interesting, where's Daddy?
Roger, small smell
The rocks, morning rumble
Had a guy on used to know a great call of parry
His uncle just got out of surgery
And coming out of surgery
The anesthetic wearing off
And he probably didn't
He wouldn't have known he was doing it
But he announced to everyone in the hospital room
That he had another family
And it was actually real
He had turned out to be true to that
All true
He did actually have another family
So they found that out
And it sort of
Try to laugh that off, eh?
Yeah
Give me that green whistle
One lesson I guess, you know
Is be careful when going on a surgery
But I think the big lesson is
Don't
Cheat on you, wife
That's a great
Have another family
That's wise man
And that needs to be said on here
Yeah
That's the nicest thing you'll see
Yeah
That is very shy
Thanks guys
From you
Mine blown
I'm in a lot
Pretty smart
So much, Alper Juicer
This is, we head back to 2020
Everyone, much and I do look alike
It's quite ridiculous
Am I as father?
Well, we took a DNA test
So I've got into my hand now
And I'm opening up
For big reports
Hands are shaking
So, yeah
This is it right here in a big circle
These results indicate
That Roger Farley
Is not the biological brother
Bugger
I mean, I got you this um
Number one, Dad, my guru
I know, I'm not your father
But it would be great if you could make me a coffee in that money
I mean, it's an incredible match to know
That your balls dropped
Not long after that
Yeah
Yeah
Sounds like you're the sound
They sound inverted
I think it's the disappointment of
Disappointment of feeling the money
Just slipped through my fingers
For a person who doesn't hear it
Oh no
Turns you into a man
And ages you quickly
And you've been here ever since
Oh no
But the DNA test
And when I got the DNA test
It said that I was Irish
Which I knew anyway
But I had no Scottish blood in me
And my mum had always said that
We had a Scottish side of the family
So she was
Could not believe
She thought there was something wrong with the test
And you screve
Scream brave Haraj
William Wallace
It'd be him all day
Yeah, well that I couldn't be
I know
I wasn't because it turns out that my
Well, who made my Nana
Her mother
Had had an affair
And so
With not with the husband
Obviously with the husband's best friend
So that my Nana's whole side of the family
My mum
Sisters
Meal the grandkids
Different
There was a lie
You know all the
All the Nana
Yeah, all the different branch
She sounds awesome
You can get caught in so many ways these days
Through anaesthetic
Through ancestry
Don't come
Yeah
Just stay safe out there
Oh no, this is why Mel don't have a test
No, I think it's safe
If I just leave it
Sometimes you just got to keep your bodily fluid to yourself
Yeah, that's, you know
Yeah
Again, why is words
Yeah, why is words, Mel's net
Or on a towel
Jesus
Sorry
Oh
Come back
If you text them elves
Yeah, Morgan
Since shortly after my grandpa passed away
My dad and uncle had to have some tests
It turned out
They were only half brothers
Oh
Yeah, right
And the person they had called dad
Wasn't their dad
Oh, it was neither of their dad
Neither of their dads
What the hell
Grant, a guy in my town
Started seeing a girl about five years younger than him
Bought her home to meet the parents, turned out
She was his real sister
And they had been adopted but never knew
Never knew, never been told
Oh hell
It was your dirt
Yeah, real
Yeah
And
Finally
Dion says
My mom took a DNA test and found out
That her dad wasn't her dad
But her best friend's dad
Was her dad
And this was after they had both passed
So that would have been mind-blowing
Yeah
Best friend's dad was your real dad
Yeah
Trying to think about that one
Oh, well
I can't compute
No
Have you, you've never had a DNA test, Creech?
No, I never have
No, I tell you what, my family tree is pretty wild
This, this, okay
I'm going to try my best to explain right
So when my Nana met my granddad
In New Zealand
In New Zealand
They were actually on a double date
Oh, I can
Right, so my Nana's sister was going to meet a guy
Yes
And then she said to him
Can I bring my sister
Yeah
So my Nana
And he said, yeah, sure, can I bring my dad
So he brings his dad
They all end up getting together
So
Did that matter?
I'm
We need, I need
It's not well, Trisha
No, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no okay
But anyway
I need a whiteboard
I need some pins, I need some strings
We need a die grade
I need I need I need a visualizer
Yeah, I feel like a yucker
There's no cross-contamination
What a great reference
But just know that
Their kids
We're related to each other in strange ways
Because it was like, oh, that's your auntie
And that's your uncle, but it's also your granddad.
This does not surprise me.
You know what I mean?
No, but it explains a lot about you.
That's outrageous, but you guys have found some outrageous, true stories when it comes to family secrets.
Yeah, this one here, my aunt didn't lose her teaching job due to budget cuts like she'd always claimed.
Turns out she never had a valid teaching license to begin with.
Regulay had affairs with all the dads.
An unbezzled PTA money.
Let's go.
Wow.
Auntie.
This one has nothing to do with family trees.
My grandpa was a drag queen.
And that's all we know.
Oh.
How did they find that?
You know, he returned from the war.
He would take trips to the city on weekends with military friends.
But then his aunt found, I had my aunt found his drag costumes and his closet,
scolded her, told her never to discuss it again.
Slowly came out that he was actually taking all the stuff to perform in the city on weekends.
Oh my gosh.
This one here, when I was a kid, we had a huge surprise,
50th wedding anniversary party for my grandparents on my dad's side.
Everyone wanted my grandpa to give a speech when it came time for the cake dessert time.
The surprise was all on us because they weren't actually celebrating 50 years of marriage.
That's secretly divorced and then got back together, but no one knew.
Everyone was shocked to say the least.
I don't remember all the details, but they got remarried at some point in secret
and just carried on my own.
Well, nothing happened there.
Yeah.
This one kind of sounds similar to my Nana, great auntie, great uncle and granddad.
After 25 years of marriage, my dad announced his divorce to my mum,
then married her sister, 12 months later.
So my aunt is now my stepmom and my cousins are now my step sisters.
I guess they've had a thing going since before my parents even started dating.
Sounds like a real fun Christmas time.
You do think about some of these, like, family get together,
this probably can't happen, can they?
No, it's not in these situations.
No, no, absolutely not.
No, stay away.
No, families get together, this creature just don't happen.
No, no, absolutely not.
You guys, you guys stay there, we'll be here.
You have fun.
You enjoy your Christmas ham.
We'll have none of that and we move on.
Did you drink a yachty at your 25th?
I actually did, took me 40 minutes.
40 minutes?
Good morning, Rumble podcast.
You tell us too much of it, of a terrible youngster.
We all can't have good yarns like Broughton every day.
Yeah, cool story, Maus.
Maus is a good morning.
Good day, guys. How are we?
All right, I teased our dog, managed to kill three people.
It's not what you think.
Unfortunately, though, on October 21st, 1998,
a probable series of events unfolded in Argentina,
a poodle, hate poodles.
Yeah, well, I'm no fan of dogs and poodles are special.
Poodles in Chihuahua's, anyway.
A poodle named Chachi fell from a 13th floor balcony railing.
Oh, no.
Chachi landed on 75-year-old Marta Espina,
killing both her and the dog instantly male.
God, this is... Why?
Eat a solar, 46, cross the street to investigate the commotion.
She was distracted by the scene.
She was struck and killed by a bus.
No.
And then a man who witnessed both those unfortunate sequences
had a heart attack during the shock of it all, and he died.
Just like that, and it was all because of Chachi.
Chihuahua was about enough, real poodles about enough,
killing three people.
This is not helping.
No, like for dogs, is it right?
It's like a scene from final destination.
It is. Yeah.
It's not a scene.
What's that in Spanish?
Finale.
This is an actual...
Bobby Leach.
Bobby Leach was a man who conquered one of nature's greatest forces,
only to be defeated by a piece of fruit.
You see, in 1911, he became the second person,
first man to go over the Niagara Falls,
in a barrel of steel, and he survived.
He suffered broken kneecaps in a fractured jaw,
but he lived to tell the tale.
How do you end it up in there?
15 years later, though, while on a lecture tour in New Zealand,
he slipped on an orange peel and died.
No, we have to see all of us.
Yeah, it broke his leg, the fall.
It became infected with gangrene.
It was amputated, but he died of complication shortly after.
Afterward.
Aren't you mad you came here?
No.
No idea. Brilliant.
Brilliant. Finally.
Better than being in a bite of poodle.
Yeah, no.
Finally.
Did you know the person who voiced two great characters
in puppetry was the same person?
Yoda and Miss Piggy share the same voice actor.
What?
And they're brought to life by this voice here, Mitch.
Please play the examples.
Have a think, a bad day for you
with an athlete.
That's Yoda, 54% dog owners are willing
to aim a relationship.
She decided to aim the name of the dog owners.
In his Miss Piggy.
Oh, shit.
He's so cute.
John, I can.
Oh, sorry.
She is.
Yes.
Oh, dear.
Sorry for all the time.
Sorry.
Oh, my.
You must be wondering what the,
I had a snorting issue.
And I then I had an operation.
Same.
Good stuff, Miles.
Yeah, Rowie.
It's actually Frank Oz.
He did both Miss Piggy and Yoda.
Among other characters from history.
That's actually awesome.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Two iconic characters.
And you also did Fossy Bear Animal, Grover Bird
and Cocky Monster from Sesame Street.
Well, that's a boss Brad.
Yeah.
He's guilty about that.
What a throat he had to conjure up all of these different noises.
Absolutely.
Cool story, Miles.
Cool story.
Free climber here, climb.
You would have seen this or seen some of it.
So you can watch it now on Netflix.
Tall, he climbed one of the tallest buildings in the world
in Taipei called Taipei 101.
It's got 101 floors.
508 meters high that live on Netflix.
No ropes, no nothing.
So he had to fall enough.
But you were saying, Miles, there was a near well.
There was a 10 second delay.
Yeah, I mean, hey, horrific.
You're watching this thing live.
I mean, I didn't see it live.
You watched it, though, last night, didn't it?
I saw it last night.
And so there's something I send you off to sleep.
That's not my hands.
Because you were sweaty.
I mean, I'm sweaty the best of times.
What am I?
Hands were sweaty.
Hands were sweaty watching this guy.
So high up.
And if you had a fallen off, that's it.
And they're commentating.
And I mean, did it in 19 minutes, too?
Yeah.
Which is crazy as well.
So he faced obviously some challenges
climbing this building.
Have a listen.
Taipei 101 is one of the world's tallest buildings.
It is huge.
And Alex's mission is to climb the entire 1,1667 feet
of this skyscraper without ropes, known as free soloing,
live on TV.
372 feet of sloped steel and glass.
He'll encounter two 14 feet high metal structures
called the Rui, the first major obstacles on his journey.
Next, eighth daunting bamboo boxes
that sit on top of each other like a bamboo stock,
each with a strength sapping overhang.
900 feet of straight up vertical climb,
the final and most dangerous stage
of the entire climb, the tower, made above the overhangs,
where his arm strength will be key.
The rings with very limited holds
and the spire with a stomach-turning drop.
This is the most dangerous section,
where a physically and mentally exhausted
Alex make it to the summit, a small steel sphere.
Well, he made it.
Oh, spoiler.
He's done it.
Alex Honnold has made history again.
Now, crazy.
If you want to see this, you've set up a bounce back,
because it's well worth to look at this.
Absolutely.
Climb to 3520 that's CLIMB.
Yeah.
And you'll see the explanation, the tower, how high it is,
what he had to do to conquer it.
And you'll also see him, yes, spoiler alert,
sorry about that.
You'll see him at the top waving down from 500 meters in the sky,
and he looks so nonchalant.
The wind.
Yeah, the wind.
So unfazed.
Just, and then he got the elevator back down to the bottom.
LAUGHTER
Lazy.
Yeah.
Climb down, mate.
Come on.
He was scared.
But he was listening, the whole point of this.
He was listening.
Winners, because sometimes his communications weren't working,
but the only thing he was listening to was,
Tool, let's go.
Someone said in the comment section,
he nearly got through a whole song.
LAUGHTER
Brilliant.
This is cyber.
That's not at stink first.
LAUGHTER
LAUGHTER
First up with these.
LAUGHTER
Make me a copy.
LAUGHTER
Oh dear.
Oh dear.
Oh no, how good.
Oh, that's not really nice.
Roger, how would you go a Clippin' Climb?
LAUGHTER
Let's get him there.
LAUGHTER
Mate, just talking about Alex Honald,
he's the man currently on Netflix, the Netflix special.
He's the man who climbed without a free climb,
but no ropes, no nothing.
So if he had to fall enough, he would have died.
Taipei 101, the building's called 508 metres high in Taiwan.
It's called Skystraper.
Ah, it was on Netflix stillers.
And you can go and set,
Creech, what do you have to text him to see that?
Ah, climb.
It's a 3520, but also I want the text machine to blow up here.
How can we get Roger up?
LAUGHTER
Hey, can Roger get up?
Oh, hell far up.
Let's get him to Clippin' Climb.
Let's get him to the highest peak on a rock climbing wall.
Who wants to see that?
Let us know.
Get texting.
LAUGHTER
Let's get Roger up.
What's the hardest of you?
Do you, do you fan of heights, Creech and all, or...?
To be honest, as a grown-up...
I mean, you're quite...
I mean, you're quite often hired.
Yeah, yeah.
But I'm still grounded.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Which is nice.
Because Miles, I was with you and Mel and...
I mean, I don't like heights either,
but we did the stadium walk at Eden Park.
Yeah, the roof wall.
Yeah, the roof on the top of the roof, which...
Oh!
I've just Googled as 34 metres,
but it seemed way higher than that.
It sounds scared.
Miles was like, I can't do it.
No, I don't want to do it.
And he didn't do it.
I didn't sound like that.
Yes, you did.
I did.
Roger actually did it, though.
Yeah, I did.
I did not.
You did.
I didn't do it either, but...
Miles was like, oh, no, I can't.
No, it's not.
You didn't do it too high, I'm shooting.
You didn't even go up.
I did.
I was there, but I didn't want to do it.
What do you do?
I mean, what do you do?
Oh, dear.
Hey, baby Breach.
Yeah.
Let's get Mel up.
Yeah, Mel.
Let's get you all up.
Come on, now.
Lots of jigs coming through.
Someone has seen the Roger's trouble climbing out of his chair.
Yeah.
But we're going to get him up there.
Oh, good stuff.
No, maybe not.
Maybe not.
Yeah, maybe not.
The Linda Rodgers can't understand here.
Something so small can be so impressive.
Well, Mark, you would know about that.
Whether it's next with Jane Riley.
The Morning Rumble podcast.
So, yesterday's show, after yesterday's show,
Morning Rumble podcast, which you can always listen to,
if you text the word podcast.
You don't have to do this.
Oh, we have to get to that.
3520.
Bit of a backstory for those who don't know.
Not into Ed Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran's been touring New Zealand.
The two shows in Auckland.
Because my daughter went to one of them.
Yeah.
Two and all.
Couple of Friday's ago.
Yeah.
And then, so you saw that one.
You saw Ed Sheeran right.
A couple of Friday's ago.
Correct.
Sure, Dad.
And then such a big fan.
So, I'm in Christchurch.
Yes.
Yes.
That led us correct.
Two and all.
One in Wally.
And then two.
And Christchurch.
Yeah.
I went to one in Auckland.
Yeah.
Loved it so much.
Then I went down to Christchurch for a 50th.
Yeah.
And then someone said,
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So, you're playing the Hobbit one, aren't you?
Yeah.
I believe so, Dad.
And now.
You saw the Hobbit each year.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
An absolute tune.
That's one.
Okay.
And he was in Game of Thrones.
And you loved Game of Thrones.
Right.
I hated him being in it.
Yeah.
You know, it just took me straight out of the world.
Straight out of Westeros and back into Earth.
So, you've been to see Ed Sheeran.
And this is on the podcast used today.
I said, we can open the phone lines.
We can open it now.
No, we can't.
We can't.
No.
We can't.
We can't.
We can't.
Don't even need to listen to what we want you to react to.
We can.
But we can.
We can't.
Oh, 800 RockFine.
Yeah.
Text in 3520.
Created this on the Morning Rumble podcast used today.
You're a massive Ed Sheeran fan now, Christchurch.
Well, now I am.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Goodness me.
I mean, I'm probably going to get strung up for saying this, but better than Metallica.
I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Wable. Lock the doors. Wable.
It was absolutely bonkers.
That was AI.
I can't take it back.
That was AI. So you saw Metallica last year,
and you've seen Ed Sharon twice this year,
and Ed Sharon in your thoughts, better than Metallica.
Yeah, look, I'm going to get, as I said, pulverized.
But...
Well, let's go to the phone.
Can you see what they say? No.
Jamie, can you believe what Creech said?
Jamie?
Jamie.
Oh, you're going to lose.
Oh, you're going to lose.
Yeah.
Can you believe what Creech said?
No, I can't. Personally, Creech,
I think you should hit over to either the breeze
or the wind.
You're dead.
Fear enough.
Well, sit down.
Fear enough.
Phone lines are open.
Two congratulations.
I'll be your basis.
I'll wait under a rock phone, Jackson, 3520.
Your thoughts on Creech?
He's a challenging guy.
It's not going well on the tips.
Creech on fire, since he's come back from for 2026.
I'm being crucified.
Morning, Rebel podcast.
Yesterday, you can hear Texan podcast 3520 here at Creech.
You'd been to a bit of a backstory.
You've been to see Ed Sheeran.
He's been in the country.
Yeah.
You saw him twice.
You've seen him twice.
Yes.
Successive weekends, essentially.
Now, you're on, huh?
May I?
May I, George?
I just want a bit of more backstory.
I was asked to go to the Auckland show.
My friend said, I've got a spare ticket if you want to come.
I said, I'll go to anyone for free.
Went.
It was mesmerising.
Went to Christchurch.
50th.
Then I got the same offer.
Hey, I've got a spare ticket to Ed.
I thought, well, I'll do anything for free.
Yeah, but then claiming that it was better than Metallica.
Whoa.
It was quite outrageous.
This is what he said.
You're a massive Ed Sheeran fan now, Chris.
Well, now I am.
Yeah, absolutely.
Goodness me.
I mean, I'm probably going to get strung up for saying this,
but better than Metallica.
No.
No!
No!
I enjoyed it, I enjoyed it.
Whapal.
Lock the doors.
How outrageous.
Absolutely bonkers.
Hell, outrageous claim.
Yeah.
You went to Metallica in November of last year.
Yeah.
In fact, our boss, Brad's, also went to Metallica,
and I believe he went to or not with you,
but he was also at the Ed Sheeran Gate.
Yeah.
I think I heard him singing it.
We were a ports of him singing.
Sing it.
This song is inlangazole.
This is him now.
now.
We will never be alone.
Do do do do do do do do.
So many texts!
Oh, so what's the text sign does it angry with the present?
Oh, yes!
Yes, Michelle, I just wonder if there's a clause or a written warning against rock terms
and conditions.
violators. Yeah, maybe. Someone thinks you hit your head on a water slide. I love water slides
and I definitely hit my head on a few of them. Ben has, he's called you a rock coward. Yeah,
well, maybe that's deserved. Now though, she 100% agrees with Craig. Oh really?
Ed is fantastic live. I've said Ed twice and Metallica once. Thank you Mel. You know what Ed does
better is rhythm. That's right. That's right. Wow. Lars, you're so out of time. You're always one
beat out of time. Lars is going to be somebody on that loop pedal banging his guitar. He's a one-man band.
He owns that show, baby. Kinder production. Kevin says, Creech, you shut your filthy
hole now. I think they're supposed to be an hour on that hole. The utter betrayal
Creech totally unforgiven. Tim knows is, I'm with you Creech Metallica sucks. I like it. Well,
you know what? Okay, I don't know if you think Metallica sucks. Now, Brian, but Ed's sharing
the production guys. The biggest screen New Zealand has ever seen. They assembled it from all parts
of the world and the visuals were so outrageous. Did he have a bridge as well? He had a bridge.
He was going back and forth on a bridge. Brian, you were on the bridge. The screen wasn't even on.
Brian texts and said he went to both concerts like you, both outstanding. Ed Pips Metallica though,
go the ginger ninja. And then finally Chris, Creech is a helmet. Ed sharing his music as a bedwitters
and teenage girls. Well, I am one of those things.
I confuse you. Produce a merch has been working very hard on the beats lab. What have we
got here, merch? This could be quite conflicting. Yeah, this is trying to make a song for Creech's.
It's Metallica master of puppets in each year in shape of you, I believe. I have a listen. Here we go.
Can we get this in the playlist? Brian, this is a mess.
Now just imagine a massive screen in a bridge. And a ginger with a loop pedal.
Oh, that is conflicting. It is the morning rumble. Oh my God.
Creech's running in for Christ. Admitting on the podcast, the morning rumble podcast
yesterday enjoyed the Ed sharing gig. He went to two gigs the last two weekends,
like the better than Metallica who were here in the last year. And your text rolling in 3520,
studio 3520, that you're a massive fan of Ed sharing.
So honey, you two were going through, it's a skalk of heat.
Yeah, well, they were nailing this.
I mean, anyone can do it. This is the loop pedal podcast.
Oh, my instruments. Oh, and the songwriting.
Hey, there was a lot of love at this concert.
I mean, there was a lot of love. A lot of slow dancing, a lot of people hugging,
a lot of embracing. And then for his more upbeat ones, lots of jumping up and down.
It was just fantastic vibes. It was the Vitamins you were on.
Yeah, yeah.
Those, those may have added to the, added to the experience for sure.
I mean, I got told I was facing the wrong way a couple of times.
It was all those about that.
I'm indeed seasoned.
Yeah, yeah.
The ABCs.
All right, just going to come back.
Something that happened, I haven't actually talked about this.
Something that happened over the break because I did have two months off last year.
Just got back last week.
Something that my wife sold pretty much behind my back without me knowing a prize
position.
I love the item.
Oh, yeah, no.
Another bombshell.
Another bombshell, Chris.
And we are selling a house in the process of selling a house.
So last year, the last year, got rid of a lot of stuff.
Just trying, as you do, trying to make it easier for the move.
Yeah, the bit of a clean out there.
Mel, older storters moved out and everything.
So trying to get the second one out, failing miserably.
But without me knowing,
at least put my, and we have talked about this before my lovely wife,
my lovely wife Lisa, my long suffering wife,
long suffering.
That was the last year.
Well, anyway, without me knowing,
had put my wooden, which I've talked about this before,
one of my prize positions, Chris,
don't know if you know this, revolving wooden CD tower.
I've got to have all these CD.
I know it's a CD.
It's a prize museum.
No, I'm fair enough, actually, fair enough.
I am talking to someone under 30.
Who loves the Ed Sheeran?
You don't even eat Ed Sheeran CDs?
No, I do not.
Call me 63, does that?
So I know it's radio-created,
but I'm going to produce so much as I'm going to put this up online for us.
It looked like that.
So it's a revolving wooden.
It's wood with little slots to put your CDs in and out of the revolve.
You could spin it round.
And how many of those relics did you have on it?
I'd like 180-200 CDs.
When did you get it? How long did you reckon you've had it for?
More than 10 years.
I've had it.
My prize position, Miles.
I kept it in my Rumpers Room and I had almost CDs in there.
Yeah.
And at least I donated it to the museum.
Without even me knowing, she put it on Facebook Marketplace.
No.
And then told me it was...
Do they get sold?
And they're sold.
Fantastic.
To another old person?
To somebody also who loves in the Nigerian.
Now, do you know how much she got for it?
Well, then she put it up.
She said that no one was interested for weeks.
And I didn't know it was up there because I'm not checking it.
And they said, I'll put a few things up,
like, you know, all different things.
Old coffee tables and chairs and my CDTL went up.
A $50.
So she sold it for $50.
I have...
Now, it's a prize position.
For our position, Chris.
What do you reckon that would be worth a few,
which have put it up there?
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised.
You're delusional.
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised.
I reckon $500.
Is that including the CDTL?
No, no, no, no, it was empty.
No, no, no.
Oh, my God.
But did she put in the description
that it was Roger Farley's CDTL?
Yeah.
No, she didn't want anyone to know.
She doesn't want anyone to know the sort of stuff.
Oh, she lost out on 10 bucks.
So much value added.
Yeah.
I reckon she give my name attached to it.
Three figures.
Ah!
Yeah, that outrage when you discover that it's gone.
Gone meld and I didn't even see the money.
She, the money's gone.
I think she's spinning on like a pedicure
or getting her hair done or something.
No way.
The little nails done.
You didn't get a scent,
no, no, no, no.
Oh, man.
And it's gone.
What about the CDs?
I've had to box them all up, Males.
Yeah.
And we've placed it containers.
Yeah.
And a beloved fossil.
Something else is house.
And she bought me this small.
She bought me a little, a seat.
She bought me this little mini CD player.
Yeah.
It hooks up to a Yulibu.
What a boomer.
What a boomer.
What a boomer.
He would have been like,
what was amazing.
Where's the cord that's going between the CD player
and the speaker?
You know how to work it, Rosh?
Well, tell me what.
Oh, I have got to work it, dude.
And boy, it works a treat.
I'll put it on the Instagram.
You haven't seen it, Creech?
No.
Do you follow Rosh?
What's a CD player?
No.
Anyway, I'll add a rock phone, 3520.
What has your partner sold, got rid of without you knowing?
Let us know.
I'll add a rock phone, 3520.
It's gone.
How does the music get from that sort of thing?
To this sort of thing?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Without creator, without anything connecting?
Well, this is the thing.
Without anything connecting?
Well, so I'll play a song, I'll show you what it is.
I reckon when you see it.
Oh, thank you.
I reckon when you see it, you'll want to buy one, too.
Okay.
All right.
Well, I put up a, what is it?
A much, an Instagram story?
Yeah.
Holy shit.
Oh, my God.
I'm going to do that in this song, all right?
Oh, I'm going to do that in this song, all right?
You have to fire, video it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, wife, Lisa.
Lovely wife.
When I was away on my break, we are moving house.
Well, we were attempting to.
And she, without me knowing, put my CD down,
which I have talked about for years.
Prize position used to hold all my CDs.
I had to take all the CDs out, and she sold it really.
But without me, no.
I just said it's on marketplace, Facebook marketplace.
I didn't know.
And it was sold before on your $50.
Didn't even see the $50.
G-West.
So, that's gone.
Was it covered in dust from 2002?
Yeah, well, I had to, yeah.
Creach, I had to clean it.
Yeah, I had to get rid of all the dust.
Right.
And I would have put my CDs to box them all up.
But then she did buy me.
And I was showing you, males.
You were quite impressed.
So you can head to Morning Rumble Instagram story.
It's a cool CD play.
I had envisioned like a MIDI system.
Yeah, yeah.
So you can Morning Rumble Instagram story.
You can see the CD tower, which is gone.
And then what she did, as she bought me,
hooks up to you, you wee boom.
And you play the CDs.
I think the word is something.
Yeah, something exciting.
Can you show us an ad?
No, I'm not even close enough.
Oh, I've lost it.
Oh, you never heard it.
I still haven't seen the CD player.
But maybe one day, I'll draw my own photo.
Morning Rumble Instagram story.
You can see what she bought me.
Wow.
It's like, how would you describe that, Moles?
It looks like a, sorry, it looks like a picture frame.
And you can put the CDs.
It's the goal, isn't it?
Well, they go on, you click them in, hit play,
got a little remote, and it's charges by a battery.
Wow.
And it connects to the ue boom, and you can play your CDs.
It can connect to the ue boom.
Yeah.
Similar to how my phone does.
It's not the same, though, Chris, it's not the same.
It's not the same.
Is it Moles?
Not the same.
It's the same.
Yeah.
It's definitely the same.
Like, it's the process of getting a CD, choosing a CD.
Which one am I going to play, clicking it into the little device,
peering it up, sitting down, and listening to your favorite tunes?
It's, it's, it's, it's tires.
It's so much.
It's so much.
Roger, Roger, you're getting old.
You're sweaty.
I recommend doing something a bit simpler.
No.
Oh, right.
And no.
Oh, right.
I'm not much.
What have these found something for me to play?
What am I playing here, much?
This is a Stitcher.
Well, no, you're just talking about your CD to Aaron,
and your favorite CDs.
So I put in some Savage Garden for you.
Your collection of CDs, what, what would they, what would they say?
A signed Savage Garden.
One, maybe, maybe, people, $200, people, a little, a little pay to the moon and back for that.
That was when we tried to sell your Savage Garden CD to Real Groovy.
Oh, no, don't play, not after we started with each year.
I actually do have a signed Savage Garden.
I don't know how I got it.
And we did try and sell it to Real Groovy.
They were not interested.
Be a loss.
Put it on Marketplace.
We'll get you to what it's to do, because you wouldn't be able to get it in the end.
I know.
We'll get you to what it's to do.
Well, this is why I least can sell my stuff without me knowing, because I'm unaware of
what's going on online.
Yeah.
I'm just, I'm just glad that because there's a free Marketplace, Facebook Market is a free
page that you can just put stuff in for free, and I'm glad that she didn't do that, because
she would have quite happily given it away.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But luckily, that $50 she got for it, that's basically free for you.
That's 0.000001% of your daily income.
He just earned that right now.
There's another 50.
And there's another three, two, one.
Another 50.
Just hands up.
Well, we're going to come back.
Wanting to know, what is your partner sold, given away without you knowing, my wife
least listed my revolving CD Tards, head on my CDs in a private place.
I've always loved this, fitted like 180, 200 CDs.
She sold it without me knowing.
You brought it into work last year, I mean, we were talking about your prized position,
she couldn't want to leave your house without it safe, but if it was burning down and
you had to grab something, you brought it in, that's how much you loved it.
I did.
You brought in your lingerie, Malar.
Oh, yeah.
I'd be wearing that.
I'm wearing down.
So my wife sold it without me knowing on Facebook, while she told me it was on there,
on Facebook, Marketplace, sold it for $50.
So it's gone.
You can have a look at the tower.
And then she got me a CD player that hooks up to the Yui Boom, so you can see that as well
if you want.
Morning Rumble Instagram Story.
Creatures right off this.
He's not into CDs.
He's not into CDs.
Oh, look.
For a time.
I'm not into redundant media.
Exactly.
At least with the vinyl, you get the crack of the vinyl.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're going to see it.
It's just like, what's the point?
Oh, that should got a Rickle player as well that hooks up to the Yui Boom too.
Well, then you should sell to CD player.
But what is your wife, partner, husband, who we have a boyfriend, given away, sold without
you knowing?
Text in 3, 5, 2, 0?
Yeah, correct.
And Napier said a few years ago, now Dad had a bone cover and Mum listed it in like
a little Trader magazine without him knowing.
We're all sitting at the dinner table.
Dad came across and, oh, Jesus, looks like a bargain.
He rang the number and our landline rang.
And we'll never forget the log of Mum's face, we just all laughed.
Dad was beside himself, but we still have it today.
Oh, that's right.
And Aaron said, this is betrayal of the highest order.
My ex sold my Bloodhound Gang CD, hooray for the boobies.
Oh, my babies.
Did she sell that?
I am gang.
I was going to get some of their music on, my laptop, and I'm technologically challenged.
And I'm just like, maybe I'm not that different from Roger.
You are.
Yeah, try to.
Well, we're at it.
Our other producer, Mitch, he's spent coffee all over his keyboards.
It's just on that, isn't it?
It's just chaos.
It's just morning, isn't it?
What's the partner giving away?
Speaking of CDs, Craig, surely you're on this morning.
You've seen how much you loved Ed Sheeran, better than Metallica, with the CD into.
Yeah, live.
Yeah.
Someone sticks her on the Ed Sheeran CD.
Yes.
Let's go, Kobe.
I said, the old owner of my car left an Ed Sheeran CD and the CD player.
I thought, ah, who listens to that rubbish?
Yeah.
Chucked it on one day when I was taking a road trip, not going to lie.
Kind of slaps.
He's with you.
Let's go, Kobe.
That's what I like to hear.
