OnlyFans Founder Leonid Radvinsky Passes Away

On March 23rd, Leonid Rudwinski, the billionaire behind OnlyFans, died at age 43 after a long fight with cancer.

The company shared the news on Monday, noting his family asked for privacy during this time.

He took a majority stake in the platform back in 2018 and turned it into a major player in online adult content.

Founded in 2016, OnlyFans lets creators charge fans directly and saw huge growth during pandemic lockdowns.

Rudwinski grew up moving from Ukraine to Chicago as a kid, studied economics at Northwestern and got into the industry young with sites like MyFreeCams.

His net worth top $3.8 billion last year plus a $700 million payout and he back causes like cancer, research and animal welfare.

Lately, he was talking with investors about selling a majority stake including $2 billion in debt and some equity.

He also shifted his ownership into a trust earlier this year. OnlyFans keeps operating as usual, still linked mostly to adult creators while pushing into other areas, leaving a big mark on how online content gets.
