In Part 2 we analyse how cheer squads should use the principles of curling in AFL games and Martin complains for three hours about the draw. Again
I have to say I'm struggling to get excited about this season.
Wow, I'm interested. Are you pumped?
I like all good supporters. I'll be pumped if I'm convinced that's winning.
If they don't, they're all good supporters.
The problem with this time of year is that you've got no idea.
Then I reckon I was more excited last year or the year before.
And I don't know why I'm not excited this year.
I'm probably more excited about the Formula 1 starting with the new rules and stuff than I am about footy.
Can you describe the new rules? I'm interested.
Because the Formula 1 is so rule based now.
It's almost impossible to either win or lose.
Well, it sounds like all the drivers hate it.
But don't sort of show it.
I remember someone once said, surely Formula 1 should be the pinnacle of.
Yeah, of course.
That's what that, yeah, that's what Max is saying.
The problem is now.
It's so analytically rule based that it's impossible to either win or lose.
So it's impossible to lose if you've got a team that's good.
Like you can't pass anybody.
Yeah.
And the problem is it's possible to win if you're.
Yeah.
I know.
It's only the other time.
But I think, I think they're trying to even an app and all that stuff.
But in the way that the AFL's done with lots of rules and stuff is.
They've now made these cars.
It's kind of.
Yeah.
It's all about rules.
Well, if you're winning if you can't win or something.
One of the one of one of the big things is that I think they the hybrid engines had.
Like 10% electricity or whatever.
But now it's 50 50 50.
Yeah.
So so they have to.
Do all these things to conserve and recharge batteries.
That they're complaining about.
So if they're accelerating straight.
Then they're going to the battery is going to run flat.
So they'll have to take your foot off the accelerator.
They're talking about like Melbourne and Monza and Vegas where there's big straights.
They're going to have to ease back to charge the battery.
So they've got enough power to get around corners or exactly.
Exactly.
And that.
Yeah.
And that's the big debate is Max for Stappen, for example.
Let's kind of come out and said this is not really Formula One.
If you want to do that sort of stuff, go and play in the electronic one.
Which is then the formula.
There's E or E formula E, I think it's go.
Yeah.
So yeah, I think you can't get it.
But I like don't you know, maybe they'll come back.
Maybe I'll change it.
But Melbourne next week, next weekend, it's Melbourne and.
Is that the first?
Yeah.
And it's going to be a system mess, I think.
But we'll all be watching.
We'll all be watching.
We'll all be watching.
Tony.
That's all it matters.
It doesn't matter about the purity of the competition, Munn.
I think the Formula F1 has had a look at AFL.
And they've only sat in their head office in Switzerland or wherever they are.
And they've gone, you know what?
The perfect way of running a competition is the way the AFL run it.
Oh, of course.
So let's not make it even.
Not even pretend to make it even.
It's continually, you know, change the fixture.
Make it biased, put big games, you know, that we think the media will pump up on.
And then change the rules all the time.
So Melbourne is the first race.
Yes.
Is that opening race?
Or is that round?
Yeah.
Is that a race one?
Good question.
Who knows?
That should be opening race.
Should be opening race.
Yeah.
Surely.
Or maybe Bahrain, whether they've been testing his opening race, everyone should have an opening
something.
I think we should.
What are the other examples?
What else would you do?
I don't know tennis.
Yeah.
No, it's normally.
Right.
Opening week.
Opening week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, they've done that.
Yeah.
The round, when they get through opening week.
Yeah.
And they're into what is it?
Is it?
It's all about the cool.
It's the first round.
First round.
What?
In F1.
Oh, in, uh, in, uh.
Sometimes tennis is round one, round two, round three.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Opening round.
Yeah.
The round of 16.
The qualifying.
Not called round four.
No.
Just.
The round of 16.
And then.
Yeah.
So maybe what we should do is we get to.
Yeah.
The first round of tennis should be opening round two.
Probably qualify that's opening week.
And then.
We're waiting round.
What are the, what are the things?
What are the sports are there that could do this?
The World Cup is coming up in soccer.
They should.
They should, they should.
They're all the qualifying matches.
This should be opening.
That.
That should be opening round.
Have they learned that?
World Cup qualifier.
Yeah.
Soccer Roos versus, you know, upper-combed back to West.
we can't talk about cricket anymore because Australia basically got
bundled out in the opening round. But that like did you hear? I heard that so
the T20 World Cup, that's the third World Cup in like four years. They have one
every year. Really? Yeah. So this is one of the things that was
no. So it was the difference in defense of every four years. No. And this is the
thing. So most World Cup show every four years, there shouldn't be a rule that
a World Cup, whatever sport it be, has to be like a minimum year. Yeah.
Different. I think so. Yeah. Which is probably three. Three. What?
Nothing made that up. Well, not four. I mean, generally it's four.
Why'd you pick three? Why'd you pick three? Well, isn't... I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know about that. Top did he head. Yeah. Well, I've had
it with four. Big, big. Well, it would, the four would sink with
rugby World Cup Olympics. Exactly. Olympics. Commonwealth Games.
Stockholm. Stockholm World Cup. Four years. Right. Or let's go with four.
So the cricket has to come in like you can't. World Cup's not every year.
That's ridiculous. I don't know. But it's not even... Not even two years.
Like three out of four years. I think the definition of a World Cup is four years.
I'm happy with that. Yeah. That should go into politics as well.
So... So that it should just be a World Cup election
for every government in the world, every four years. Wow. That would be a big day, wouldn't it?
So what we do. So I've also campaigned. I give you the reason. Winter Olympics, which were...
Winter Olympics. Winter Olympics. Yeah. Firstly,
I can't believe they can't... Like, why does the Olympics go for two weeks?
Kind of go for like two months. It's good, isn't it? Yeah. Like, why does it... I think it'd be
fantastic if we get... Well, the whole season, can we have a... We have four years,
and then we get two weeks, and then they cram. I don't think it snows enough.
You can move to the... The start and the end. The start and the end is going to move to the
7th and the end. What do they have to... It's like... AFL season goes for 24 weeks.
Yeah, yeah. Plus finals, plus... Yeah. Like, being around, plus... Yeah, it's not enough Winter Olympics.
Well, can't we do the Olympics over a month? I mean, imagine watching the Olympics for a month.
Yeah. Yeah, that's much fun. Like, we get two weeks and then we'll suddenly wake up.
Right, isn't it? You get up on the Monday morning and you go, oh, it's over.
Yeah, I know, it's easy. So we need more of it.
It's devastating. The curling... The curling is my new favourite thing in the world.
Curling is amazing. And those shading Canadians... Nobody listens in Canada, so it's fine.
The Americans are listening, so they hate Canadians. The shading passes over the little finger.
That was a big... That finger... The finger, the finger, Tony.
The Swedes... The Swedes picked him up with the finger.
Don't touch... Don't touch it. I think the Swedes were.
Just a swed... No, he swed in a bit. They're very robust, the Swedes.
Yeah, they are. But I got up with cheating.
No, they do not. They're very little. The Swedes, we know Swedes. We've worked with some Swedes.
Yeah, I do agree. Herding is an underrated sport. Curling.
Curling. Not herding. Oh, sorry. Curling.
Herding is also a great sport. Curling is great, isn't it?
Yeah, it's basically bowls on us.
Hey, these are enormously heavy stones.
But I would love to be a curler, because you're just like when you get rid of the wall.
You know, you sort of slide along and you just keep going and you just let it go.
So what you have to do as an athlete is just let the thing go.
You have to push it. You have to throw it. You have to hit it.
You just let go. It's not impossible. Let go.
Let go. Come on. You can let go. I'd rate it, because even it's massively underrated.
When they push off, they're actually doing a like the position they're in.
It's like a yoga pose. Great. You'd be great. You're like a yoga master.
It's like pigeon. Pigeon pose. Yes. They're in like his...
It's really impressive.
Yeah. And you just...
And all you have to do is you just have to be calm.
You have to think...
You just let it go in your slide along and just make sure you let it go before the line.
Don't stick your finger on it.
But I think they've learned from AFL is that when they play
well, there's doubles under there's quadruples.
So traditional curling is four people on each team.
So there's eight.
And each of them have to curl.
Yeah.
Throw or whatever they call it.
Yeah.
But it's 10 ends.
So four people throw or curl or 10 ends.
Yeah.
Because forever.
So the problem is they've got like all these countries want a curl.
Yeah.
But they've got foresens with all these countries.
It takes like weeks.
So you didn't know that.
But yeah, foresens.
Well, 10 ends is...
The thing I like, one of the other things I like about curling is
it gives jobs for cleaners.
I mean, how many sports do cleaners get to go into?
When they're sweeping skills.
So where's our?
It was fantastic.
But then they shout.
The shouting at each other.
Shouting, yeah.
That's quite disturbing.
You're like, come on, go!
Just like scary.
It's scary.
But he's much better when it's in a different language.
That's what he would like to do that.
You know what someone has a shot for goal and I feel like.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
Left, left, left.
No, no, no.
Shut that.
When it's sort of drifting rock,
a bunch of players could to be left of that.
Move the air or something.
And waving their arms up,
and they're moving, sort of moving the air.
I can't let do that.
Maybe with some towels or sheets or something.
They jump us off.
They're flags.
What's the cheersquad doing?
They're doing nothing.
They're sitting behind the goals.
They should be in front of the goals.
With the cheersquad flags.
Like a funnel of air that goes into the goals.
Yes.
Yes.
And they're playing.
They're playing the kicks in.
It's like the guy that throws the curl.
That's the thing, yeah.
And then he's saying,
and then everyone in the back,
and they could yell at him like,
go, go, go, go, go.
And all the cheersquad, they're saying,
oh, I agree.
And wave the flags.
Bring it back in.
If you're behind the goals, you have to wave them.
No, but in curling it out,
because when the rock is going down,
they curl either on the one side of the rock or the other side.
But they also curl with the broom facing forward,
or hollering.
But they'll go and make it.
We're moving somewhere.
When Charlie, for Sydney,
has a shock from 60 now.
Someone's going to have to wave either side to side
or back and forward, right?
Because you want to wave your jumper back and forward
to make it go further.
Yes, yes.
But then you want to wave it side to side
if you want it to move.
Yes.
That's a great point.
If it's deviating left, you want it to go right.
This is great.
I think this is it.
Look at the cheesequad I agree.
The cheesequad could move in a certain way
to create it.
Because the players can't do it,
because they're on the ground,
they haven't got something to wave.
No, because they've got the cheesequad
the waving thing.
Yeah, exactly.
So I think finally,
we found a roll for the fun all there.
Yeah.
The cheesequad,
the coli would cheesequad should
at the end of the ground.
With a giant,
like,
there's like ear vacuum things
and waving them.
So there's a fun all there.
Oh, I can't be ordered, mate.
I mean, I know.
It's going to be a manual.
So they've got to get out with the banner.
You know, they run through the banner.
They've got a fun all day.
These days, they don't break the banner.
So it's perfect.
So you just bring the banner
down to the end of the to the goals.
Yeah, and just wave.
And then fun all of it.
As it's, you just funnel.
Yeah, we're under something here.
This is big.
This is, this is,
this is the bottom of something.
Every recent episode last year of the
Lazy Goals.
Lazy Goals.
So you've got lazy goalposts
and cheesequad curling,
you know, basically modeling of the curlings.
We're on that like,
this is, yeah,
you don't get this from all the podcasts.
Yeah, yeah.
That's podcast.
This is good, good Saturday year.
Lots of people in Delftes.
Yeah.
Well, they love it.
They love it.
Delfts, people in Delfts love this stuff.
Oh, they should.
Yeah.
Now we know our listeners.
Oh, great.
So that's good.
That's good.
So, uh, should we stop now?
We should actually, I think I've talked enough about.
There's a lot of talk,
there's a lot to talk about preseason.
We haven't talked about preseason.
Most of them are typical, although.
I'm just interested in the preseason
because you have to publish your own teams
in the preseason game.
Can you just turn up with a bunch of 24-bikes and just play?
Uh-huh.
Well, there's actually an AFL preseason designated.
Yeah.
Drop it.
But that's because that's like,
the bulldogs beat the horse to have 44 points.
Yes.
So, uh, with novel, right?
Yes.
To the problem with that, with novel is enormous.
Yeah, well, I think you're the with novel
and you cannot,
you could not physically hit a
finger ball for my name to be honest.
Really?
Ah.
Even you.
Even you.
Even you're a last year's career.
See, Brisbane beat the sons.
Yeah, and we beat Brisbane.
So, we definitely promise your favourites.
At this stage,
I'd say Calton would be a pre-missive favourites,
I think.
You've beaten last year's Grand Finals.
Yeah.
But the two Grand Finals.
Premieres.
Yeah.
Right?
So, I mean, it doesn't...
That's it.
So, stop now.
Wouldn't you beat?
Stop now.
Would you beat, would you be a last year?
Where did we finish?
Yeah.
In the top 18.
No, but seriously, you've beaten both Grand Finals for last year.
So, the only thing I can say with Calton's pre-season
is that was better than last pre-season.
Well, that's true.
We've basically lost every...
Which is quite last year's Grand Finals,
July, and they had two days.
So, one of the great things that I remember,
basically, don't you, came on for 10 minutes or the third quarter
and keep it going, then went...
Yeah, it's enough.
Then went off again.
One of the great memories I have
was the old nav pre-season cup.
Oh, yeah.
And it's a lightning pre-missive.
Remember the lightning pre-missive?
Whatever, you know, lots of names for it.
But one of the last ones, if not the last one,
was Calton won the pre-missive.
One of the pre-season...
They did.
They did.
With five.
I was there.
Yeah.
We beat West Coast on the Grand Finals.
At Marvel, Slash, Colonial, Slash...
Yeah.
At the...
What happened in the regular season?
Yeah, you got the wooden spoon.
So, that's why I kind of think...
So, you think maybe we shouldn't be
putting too much faith in these?
I'm not sure.
As much as I, you know, my instinct says,
no, the lids off, we're going to be pre-missive.
My intellectual self says, you know,
what?
I don't think that was a real indicator of what's to come.
So,
so, Coli would place north of Melbourne.
Yeah.
On Sunday.
Yeah, that's...
In Australia, isn't it?
Exactly.
I feel like in Belorat.
Now, it's all happening in Belorat.
There's like three games in Belorat with the lightning.
So, Eagles played Port Adelaide
in a Mineral Resources Park.
Where's that?
Well, everybody knows that.
But not necessarily.
I've got a good idea.
Like, somewhere in Western Australia, I think.
Doppler's playing Adelaide at Russian Park,
which is in Manjura, I don't know where that is.
Oh, Manjura.
It's great.
Jesus Christ.
Secure playing Estonet at Mars that in Belorat.
Yeah.
It's like 12 games in Belorat.
Yeah, because Melbourne, return playing Belorat.
Why are you playing Belorat?
Belorat, it's only going to be 100 degrees
or it will be sideways rain.
So, this time next week.
So, how do we...
Well, we'll finish the first...
Round.
The first captain Sydney.
Yep.
The first Thursday night, isn't it?
Mm-hmm.
I know.
I don't like that.
We're sitting here and Friday night, they went before.
And Sydney is a...
Because I just do what I do for a minute.
Sydney...
Um...
Yeah, it was a dollar 33.
Yeah.
And, Captain?
The count is three dollars 30.
I can't say I have no chance.
I think...
I mean, I think three dollars is pretty good.
So, what would you...
Suns and Jolong?
What odds would you give the Suns on the gold test?
Suns are win.
They're sure.
So, what odds would you give them?
Uh...
$1.12.
$1.75.
Oh.
Good.
I'd take it.
What?
This is a groove here.
I think the Suns will get there.
GWS and Halls are...
So, that's interesting.
That one's interesting.
So, this is what gets me...
The AFL app, right?
No, it's...
No, it's...
You can look at OR...
opening red.
Yeah.
You get odds for Sydney and Carlton.
But no.
You get odds for Suns and Jolong.
You then go to...
GWS Hall-thorn Brisbane Lines of West Coast.
No, it was.
But then you get...
The next opening round game is Brisbane Lines of West Coast.
Brisbane Lines and Bulldogs.
Oh Bulldogs, okay.
That's better than a West Coast.
No, it would be just like an annihilation.
Yeah.
But then you get...
St. Kilda home game.
Yeah.
At the MCJ.
Oh, it's Colin.
It's Colin.
It's Colin.
Carlton vs. Colin.
But this is what I mean.
How can that be a...
Service...
Yeah.
It's a Colin or a home game.
What would you give...
What would you give...
What would you give?
Uh...
Who would be favourite?
Let's start with that.
You have to be Colin, wouldn't.
The dollar...
Colin with our favourite.
32.
Versus $2.
$9.
87.
Against the dollar 97.
Oh, come on.
Yeah.
It's really...
I think it's an evenly matched...
Well, I took the Kilda home game.
I get to wear the black shorts.
I get to eat the sushi.
But what fascinates me most about opening round
is that it's just what drives me bananas.
Is that 18s get a buy before they've even played.
So, officially on the A4L app, 18s get a buy.
I know.
So, that's the thing...
That's getting readied before you've even played.
So, I like...
I like the idea that there's a feature round
for non-Victorian...
Like, and also South Australia,
West Australia is a big footy state.
So, New South Wales and Queensland get a big round to themselves.
A kind of like that.
I don't like the opening round seek
because...
Why can't we just have the big opening to the season?
I agree.
Where everybody...
All the teams get a place.
I agree.
But I suppose they think,
well, how could you then not...
Well, actually, no.
Couldn't you do the first buy round of the season
in round 11 or 10 or something?
Sure.
Where it's all New South Wales.
So, I hope you understand.
Eight teams get a buy.
You know what I mean?
I know.
They get a buy before they've even played.
I know.
Right.
Well, it's not really a buy.
It's just...
They don't start the season till...
No, it's a buy.
It's officially...
I understand.
It's officially a buy.
I know that.
Are you honest?
Yes.
Yes.
I've had a buy.
Yeah.
Round one.
Everyone plays.
That's amazing.
Then, round two.
Four teams get a buy.
Brisbane, Carlton.
We get a buy.
Colin would...
And Jolong get a buy.
They've played two games.
Then, round three.
Four teams get a buy.
Don't...
Don't start.
Don't talk about it.
Don't...
Right.
So we...
So...
And then, round four,
two teams get a buy.
You know what?
So, round four is really round five,
because it's opening round is round one.
So, but then, round five...
And five is the second round
in six rounds where everyone plays.
In five.
Yeah.
So, round four...
So does that mean that round five
is the first...
After round five is the first time...
We understand where the true letter is
because everybody's played.
It's a great question.
I actually don't know the answer to that.
I think so.
Yeah.
Because then, seven...
I think you're right.
And then, if you go around eight,
nine...
But, you know, one of the things that
it's been great to see is that
there's been a lot of feedback about all that.
And generally, like the
players association, the fans association,
all that stuff put all this feedback in.
And the AFL is completely ignored.
Ignored everything.
But then, we get to round...
So, between rounds five and 12,
everyone plays every week.
It's done amazing.
Okay.
Everyone plays every week.
Wow.
Yeah.
So, it gets round 12.
Yeah, 14 is going to be fine.
So, 12 is when the game is done again.
In 13, around 13, two teams get to be fine.
Right.
And then, round 14...
14 is going to be fine.
Okay.
Round 14.
And then, round 15.
15, 17, 14.
And we're only like nine weeks away.
So, the bar round goes from round 12
to round 15.
Which is actually round 15.
There was another great bit of feedback
that everybody gave the AFL.
So, can we just have it on one weekend?
Yeah.
So, actually, the bar round really goes from...
Well, it goes from round 12 to round 15.
But that really is round 13 to 16.
So, how many bar rounds are there?
There are...
Are there more bar rounds than there are for the AFL?
I will answer you.
So, there are...
There are one, two, three, four...
Five, six, seven, eight.
Eight, eight bar rounds.
Nine bar rounds.
Nine bar rounds.
In, around 24.
Because that's what we want the most.
We want to see our teams not playing.
That's what fans want.
That's what we want.
Can we AFL?
Can we give us more...
Can you please give us more rounds
where my team is not playing?
Also, I'm fascinated with this, like, from...
Not out of their nine bar rounds.
So, they're not...
Have you said that?
There are nine bar rounds.
Up, up until round 17.
Right.
Or round 16,
but you're really around 17 because it won't be around, right?
So, nine out of 17, not every one team is playing.
Right, right.
Then, when you get to round 17...
So, that mean there's only, like,
what, five or six rounds?
Correct.
We're in place.
We're in place.
But...
Up.
When you get to round 16,
which is when this...
This is the last by-round,
all of the games have no dates or times.
Oh, okay.
So, that...
They just...
Well, so...
So, what we do, we'll work that out...
is we wait and see the letter.
And then, last year, they waited.
And then, they...
They organized, like, SNN versus nobody.
On a Thursday night, primetime...
The round...
And even SNN was...
So, round 16, which is the last by-round,
which is the ninth by-round in 17 rounds of football.
Which is ridiculous.
More than half.
Anyway.
But, from then, for round 16 to round 24,
all of the games are not scheduled at all.
Yeah.
No.
So, you could be playing anywhere anytime.
Okay.
But, you know who you're playing.
You do know who you're playing.
So, Carlton, for example, plays at West Coast.
They can't end time, right?
Yeah.
And then, Carlton, in...
So, your run home is West Coast Richmond.
Yeah.
Hawthorne.
Colingwood.
Ooh.
Sons.
Well, what you do know is that you are the home team.
Yeah.
But, you could play home game.
That's okay, though.
I don't know.
I'm not too worried about that.
Yeah.
I tell a lie.
So, you know where you're playing.
Yeah.
You just don't know what day to win in the time.
Like, I couldn't buy that extra.
Oh, you can buy that.
So, you're happy to play Richmond.
Far better for me to...
You're happy to play Richmond at the MCG at any time or any day.
Yeah.
Because, like...
So, I'm sipping around the time.
I actually think that's not such a bad thing to do by the AFL, really.
Because, if you set it up now and you go,
I think Bulldogs,
and I think North Melbourne,
from what I've seen in their preseason, is going to be amazing.
So, we're going to schedule them
for the last round.
For I don't know, North Melbourne vs.
West Coast is going to be an absolute blockbuster.
And, of course, they're completely wrong.
And so, let's not decide now.
Let's wait.
I actually think that's...
I quite like this.
So, the clubs know who they're playing.
They know who, where or when.
They know who.
And then, where?
Well, they know that it's a way or another.
I just don't know when.
Yeah, exactly.
And they know it's that weekend.
I'm going to put my hand up and support the AFL.
Oh, you are.
Yeah.
Well, what I'm going to...
So, I feel kind of dirty.
So, the first four or five rounds,
I can't even believe it has the, like, second or third most difficult.
I'm just going to be with you.
Go on, go on.
I'm talking about rent, so.
Secure the first rent.
I'm sorry, opening rent.
Opening rent.
Then we have...
You can filter it with your, with...
Counts, with...
Counts.
We are Adelaide.
At home.
What's it?
I'm not sure what is a home game anymore.
Like, against Adelaide at the MCG,
I would say that's your home game.
You think so?
But we...
That comes off playing Secure at the MCG in a way, again.
So, you've got two home games at home, Greg.
It's a two home games.
Like, you can't play them against Adelaide that it's not a home.
No, we're in different locker rooms.
It can make a difference.
Oh.
And we're in white shorts.
Then, we have to play...
We get a bike, actually.
Yeah.
Because playing two games in a row is actually quarter.
It's a killer.
It's a killer.
Oh, you need it.
You need it though.
I played two games ago for the last two or three.
So, we'll play...
Then, we have to play the first opening round.
We have to play the giants at Marvel Stadium.
So, that's not even a home game or a way game.
What is that?
It's a new hit.
It's a nothing game.
What game is that?
Do we wear white shorts or black shorts?
So, you've got three home games in a row.
No, we don't.
We play at Marvel.
Marvel's on point.
Well, three games you don't have to travel to.
Go on, next one, next one.
That's true, but Marvel's on point.
You're doing the travel.
You've got to go on a tram.
You've got to go on a tram.
You've got to go on a tram.
Other 109.
You've got to go down a Marvel stadium.
I go all the way.
Yeah, yeah.
To walk out.
Yeah.
We have to go all the way from home trading ground here in MCG.
To Marvel Stadium.
That's a bad...
It's an away game.
Three games.
It's an away game.
It's an away game.
Yeah.
Go on, next one.
Next one.
Then, then we have to travel all the way to Brisbane.
Okay, so that's a genuine away game.
Four slash round five.
Yeah, okay.
And then, we have to play the dockers.
And then...
Oh, I see, you've lost your home ground.
But it's not an away game either.
It's just a neutral game.
Well, we were in black shorts.
Okay.
Is that what you got?
You got the black...
The...
We have a black with the white stripes.
We've got a good bit of white with the black stripes.
But we have a very good record of the elevator.
Yeah, no.
I understand that.
And like, Carlton, the worst elevator group.
And then, so far, what, we have to round six?
Then round six, which...
You've got, uh...
Thursday, 16th away, which is...
Carlton.
But it's a home game as well.
So you play...
So far, you've played one away game.
Hang on, hang on.
You've got one away game that is for six rounds.
We have to get a Brisbane.
Yeah, and then you got a white.
Yeah.
Yeah, a bit of...
The gather round.
And then we're back at the MCJ.
But everybody's got to go out.
Against Carlton, which is the home game.
Yeah.
We're going to get a gather round.
And then we've got to play...
Esrington.
MCJ again, home ground.
Okay, I'm going to a white game.
Oh, it's an exact thing.
Well, it's an away game.
Gotta wear the white...
What are the white shorts?
Yep.
So, so far, you've got...
Then we've got to play...
Hang on, I guess.
The MCJ is home.
So, it's another round nine.
And then...
And then we're up to...
Well, then we've got to play...
Jolong and DMCG.
The away game.
So, no, I'd say 10...
We've got more away games than we have had.
No, I have a hang on.
So, so far, you've got two games away from the MCJ.
In nine rounds.
Correct, but...
Most of them are away games.
So, round...
I hope you're in the other...
That must really...
It must really piss the kind of guys off.
Oh, absolutely.
They rock up to the MCJ and go, put your bags down there.
He's like, sorry, mate, you're over there this week.
Now, on the other one.
But how do I know what that'd be?
Yeah, that's like...
Yeah, no, it's incredibly difficult to hang on.
But we'd play...
We'd play a home game away.
No, that would...
If you wanted some houses...
Opening around, we'd play an away game at home.
Then we'd play a home game at home.
Then we'd play...
No, what?
We'd just been through the same thing.
We're not going to go over to game.
Then we'd play a home game away.
Yeah, I'm sick of this.
I'm going to stop the podcast.
We've been going for an hour.
Plus, we did the other thing before.
So, I even dealt with a switch-off point here.
The first...
The first nine rounds.
Call me a place.
Everyone...
At home.
Why shorts are black shorts?
We'd play everyone at home, but it's really away.
Yeah, okay.
Well, I'm going to switch it to the game.
So, we said goodbye, and then you can carry on.
Is there any particular point you want to make from this?
I do.
Because I think the picture is a good boy.
How can you have nine bars in 16 rounds of football?
We'll go back to the bars.
Yeah, I agree with that.
Good night, everybody.
I'm exhausted, Martin's rambling.
And we don't even know where this recording is going to work out.
No, we don't.
No, because we just did it on the iPhone.
So, we've had a fun evening though.
That's been great.
That was an exhausted night.
Good night.
And we'll see you again tonight.
We'll see you again tonight.
Goodbye.
Thank you to our sponsors, Glenn Livert and Carlton Drive.
And I'll take a blue.
Take a blue, yes.
Yes, please send money.
Bye-bye.
