Packers Eye NC State's Marshall for Cornerback Revamp

The Green Bay Packers are revapping their cornerback group ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. They recently signed former Minnesota corner, Benjamin St. Juiced, to a two-year deal for some added size. As part of their countdown of 100 future prospects, North Carolina stayed cornerback, Devon Marshall, ranks at number 40 and could be a day, three-pick. Marshall started at Villanova before transferring to NC State. Over two years there, he tallied four interceptions, 23 past deflections, and 50 tackles last season alone. A Boston native, he brings smooth cover skills and quick feet, despite standing 5 feet 10 and weighing 197 pounds. His coach's rave about his pro-work ethic, confidence and fearless run support, where he plays bigger than his size. Marshall led the Atlantic Coast Conference in past deflections this year and showed strong ball awareness.

1:01He even has returned experience from high school that might translate to the pros. For the Packers, Marshall fits as a playmaker for a unit that managed just one interception last season. With Casey and Nixon and Carrington Valentine in contract years, he could add depth now and step up bigger in 2027.
