Panthers Re-sign Tight End Feleipe Franks

The 28-year-old spent time with the Atlanta Falcons early in his career after going undrafted in 2021. He played his first two seasons there before moving on. Franks started as a quarterback in college, but switched to tight-end during his Falcons days under their former coach. Last year, he suited up for all 17 games in Atlanta, mostly on special teams. Before that, he appeared in 16 games with Carolina in 2024. Fans might not remember Franks for big plays, with just one career catch for 12 yards and 10 rushing yards over four seasons. Atlanta chose not to bring him back, instead using the franchise tag on Kyle Pitts and adding veteran Austin Hooper in free agency. Meanwhile, the Falcons made another move, Friday, trading fourth and sixth round picks to the Philadelphia Eagles for safety Sydney Brown.
