The Carolina Panthers are trading back-up quarterback Andy Dalton to the Philadelphia
Eagles for a 2027th round draft pick.
Dalton spent the last three seasons with Carolina, mostly serving as the back-up to Bryce
Young.
He stepped in as starter seven times during that stretch, including five starts this season
when young faced early struggles.
A thumb injury sideline Dalton, allowing young to reclaim the top spot where he staged
strong sense.
This move clears space for Carolina while giving Philadelphia some better in depth, with
the story still developing.
