LA County is warning of massive job losses across California if paramount follows through on its threat to leave the state. Politico and deadline obtained a leaked County report projecting the loss of 29 to 58,000 jobs and up to 21 billion dollars a year of paramount fully relocates. Paramounts made the threat as it fights an anti-trust lawsuit over its merger with Warner Brothers. California attorney General Rob Bonta's calling it blackmail. He's set to meet with Paramount next month for court-ordered settlement talks. A group of California Congress members wants the house back in session immediately

SoCal Democrat Ted Lu is one of the lawmakers demanding a special session telling CNN Congress needs to pass an AI kill switch. Have your machinery has kill switches, high speed rail, jet skis have kill switchers and even your Apple iPhone. You can erase it remotely if it's stolen. And so we're saying the AI industry should not be exempt. Speaker Johnson says he supports some regulation but opposes what he calls emergency legislation. Clippers owner Steve Balmer's apologizing to fans and he says he'll accept the findings of an NBA investigation into salary cap violations. The league had banned Balmer for a year and stripped the clippers of five first round draft picks claiming the team skirted rules by facilitating $66 million in deals for quiet littered.
