Exodus 3:7 KJV And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
Amen, glory to God. Welcome to the program. Welcome to cafe. It is a blessed day at the cafe. Amen
The sun is shining to birds. I don't know if they're chirping. I bet they are chirping out there
It's can't hear them, but I do love a good bird song in the morning
And it is a blessed morning as always by the way
I think every other bluegrass songs about the Whipper will which is a bird
So that's just a little extra for you, but I keep hearing Whipper will songs and I don't know if I can tell that that sound
But man, it's awesome to hear the birds up early
Coffee is pretty hot
You know, I'll do I'll make a latte in the morning. Of course my wife. I have to make one for her
I tell her I'm a master barista after all these years
I'll make it for her, but I'll make myself one and I'll kind of try to you know
I use oat milk. Okay, we're non-dairy over here, but I try to make like a
Little something in there whatever they call that little latte art and it's usually like a flower or you know
Kind of like a poor man's flower. I don't know like a stick
But you know, it's funny as I drink the coffee it really always like morphs into a heart, you know
And it's just so cool because I'll be drinking the coffee. I'll be recording episodes and I'll look in my mug
And there's just like a heart there. I'm just like man, you know, that's just God right there
I don't know how to describe it, but it's just awesome
You know the littlest things, you know, you just see God, you know, it's
It's awesome. I could go on and on. You know, we're talking about I was praying about a
Ministry thing and I was thinking of a specific verse and my daughter was reading her kids Bible this morning
And she said that exact verse, you know
That's just God, you know, there was a verse. I was working on and then
For a program or something and then that verse came on my phone as a daily verse like pretty much the same day or the day after
It's all man. It's just like all this stuff, you know, when you look around is again, especially related to love and God's word and
And just all those things you could just see him here there and everywhere and what a blessing

I'm telling you buddy. You study that you listen to those 775 episodes
15 minutes of pop you can do the math. That's a lot of it's a lot of teaching and preaching you listen to that you will really understand Genesis
I believe on a level that many don't not because anything I did but because what God did and you'll also understand the principal after listening to that
That when you go back at Genesis and you're still learning more and you're still just amazed by God's word and blown away by the things
You're learning after you've heard all 775 that just shows you that God's word is inexhaustible and alive
And it's just you cannot exhaust God's word. I mean, I'm in my morning study right now. I happen to be in the book of Genesis
And there's things every time help every day. I'm reading it. Oh, man. Look at that. Oh look at that
You know and again, you know having read it many times prior and then all of the study on it and then still
Oh, it's just amazing. So if you want that grab that and also to it's a great
Evangelism tool any of this stuff, you know, you don't drink coffee give the bag of coffee to a friend
You know and tell them about the program or you know, you don't need a study card
You understand the principal give the study cards to a friend or you got kids let them fill it out, you know
The thumb drive again, you've heard those episodes you understand it
You know somebody you care about pray pray to Lord Lord. Who could I give this to you know and just explain to them
You just put in their computer or their phone
Whatever it may be
Open that file up. It's all by folder. It's very simple like Genesis 1 is in a folder Genesis 2 is in a folder
You just open that folder and it's just numbered, you know like Genesis 1.1 1.2 1.3 just numbered each it
So it makes it very approachable for somebody that may maybe save may not be saved
Somebody that's gone a far off from the Lord somebody that loves the Lord you go ahead and give it to them
See if it doesn't bless them. I believe it will not because of anything
I've done but because of what God is doing here in the ministry and you can tell when you hear me talk about I get excited because I
Probably had some kind of idea like this for some years and the Lord gave the green light
Right around the new year to do this and I'm just so thankful he did
All right, that is a long introduction. I apologize. I know I know I know but let's get right to this here
We left off in Hebrews three comparing that with Exodus chapter three
So we got two chapter three is one of the old testament one the new testament our focus verse here
And the Lord said I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt and have heard their cry by reason of their
Taskmasters for I know their sorrows. So we see in Exodus chapter three a relatable God
Think about it. He is all knowledge. He has all wisdom. He has all power
Like how can he relate to you? How can he relate to me?
It's almost it's almost like impossible to imagine God himself being able to relate to man
You the king of kings and Lord of lords being able to understand
sinful man
Yes, he made man, but still it's like he is God Almighty, you know, and sometimes I don't know how to describe it
But you'll just see all the layers of things happening in the world and you'll think how could God even him being God
Process all of that in real time and still look to you and say yeah, I understand you sprained your ankle yesterday
And you're really bummed out because you can no longer play church volleyball, you know
Like he could still like you know something that seems so trivial, you know, is actually really important to him
You know there's been times the Lord has reminded me of like the simplest things
You know, they'll be a game that I want to watch or something, you know, and I'll forget you know
It's something I'll just come to mind right when it's starting and I'll be like God
How how awesome are you that did even the smallest thing, you know
That old saying the devil's in the details. No God is in the details. Oh, do you understand God is in the details
We're gonna take a break and we're gonna look at this idea God being the details God feeling your pain. We come back from the break
Stay tuned
Well, it's break time around here. If you haven't already visit kjvcafay.com

So in the last episode we finished off with this concept here in Hebrews 3. We were looking at our excuse me Hebrews 4
We're looking at
This idea seeing that we oh no, no it was Hebrews 3. All right. We're not gonna. I'm not gonna edit that out
I'm just checking to make sure you're listening. Okay. I'm checking on you. That's what I'm doing that. No, I'm just kidding
Sometimes it gets confusing here. Okay
So we have here this idea
That Moses was faithful right and he was a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after okay?
So Moses is faithful in that
he was the
Tool or vessel God used to deliver the Israelites out of bondage of Egypt
He was so meek and humble that there was no question God was at work
So another lesson is if you want to be used by God you have to be meek
Which means strength under control doesn't mean you have to be weak, but you have to be meek like you have to be surrendered and
The idea I've always heard it said best would be like breaking in a horse
And I wish I really could give a lot of details about that process
But I frankly don't know too much about it
But I know that you have a horse especially a strong horse a wild horse that horse needs to be broken in, you know
I know dogs, you know, I used to have dogs for years from almost 20 years
You know to two runs that were left in a backyard
In July, South Carolina heat and I adopted them
Huge dogs chow German shepherds, and I called him Jack and Jill, you know big just monster dogs
And they were in that heat and that blue tongue just sticking out that chow tongue
And you had to establish the alpha, right? You had to break it in you had to say okay, no, you're not the boss
I'm the boss, you know, and then at the time I had a little peeking. He's in the beginning
He's a tiny little dog was like no, no, I'm the alpha, you know
Oh, man, but and I couldn't we don't have a dog anymore right now because I couldn't break myself after those three
They really they really got it on my system, I guess
But you have to break in a horse you got to get that dog to understand who's the alpha when it comes to serving God
You must be humble and meek, right?
Moses was humble and meek. This is spoken of I've got himself when
Aaron is brother and his sister Miriam's talking trash about him marrying that Ethiopian woman and
God was wanted to wipe him out, you know, he was ready to especially Miriam is ready to kill her
She got leprosy and Moses pleaded that she not die
He was very meek, okay? Very lowly
Moses veryly was faithful in all his houses a servant for a testimony of those things which were just spoken after
Okay, but verse six here, but Christ is a son over his own house
Whose house are we if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end?
You see and so what we see here is Christ
Okay, he is the builder of the house, right? He is the son of God. He also is God, right?
And we as the body of Christ are part of his
Heavenly house if you will and if we hold fast to the confidence and rejoicing of the hope
Firm unto the end which is to say it's not that we can lose our salvation, right?
It's that we believe enough to hold fast to it
You know, there's a difference they'll you'll hear a story
So-and-so was so trustworthy so-and-so seemed like they were so holy and then they turned out to be a child molester
Okay, well, where is their salvation? How about this they were pretending they were never really saved
How about this you can have an experience with a holy ghost and not be saved?
I know people personally that have had experience with a holy ghost and God knows their heart
I can't say if they're saved or not, but by their fruits you'll know them and they have zero fruit
Now again, I'm I'm I'm in the camp that says
We'll be surprised who is in heaven and who is not I'm in that camp, right?
Like I believe that I see what God did with me
I'm sure many people think I'd be splitting hell wide open and the Lord had saved me
So I'm in the camp of believing the unconventional
Also in the camp of the narrow road and few there be that find it so that heaven will be not crowded
It'll be very few people in heaven. I believe that I believe God's serious when he says many people come to him saying
Lord I did this and I did that and he'll say depart from me you worker of iniquity for I never knew you
I'm in the camp of believing that a true believer is much more than easy
Beliefism or just getting dunked in a in a baptism pool
You know some kind of horse trough in the in the parking lot
I have nothing against horse straws, you know
We invested in one in a church many years ago
For a baptismal pool, but that preacher made sure before that individual was baptized
They absolutely understood why they were saved and what they believed in understood
They were a sinner understood that Christ paid that
Sndet on the cross at Calvary and that they're saved by his work and his blood
And then it's just a public profession of faith to be baptized
I love baptism. You get a true believer to go be baptized and watch
I'll be crying like a baby. I mean, I absolutely love it
But
Baptism doesn't save Romans 10 9 through 10 tells us we're saved
I'm believing in the heart and speaking it with the mouth
We believe in the heart the deepest part of us. We speak it with the mouth
So we see here that Christ is greater than Moses
But in Hebrews the writer of Hebrews chapter 3 is trying to give us this parallel to help us to understand
Okay, I want to help the Jews understand at that time because he's right into the Hebrews
That Moses the character they adored there was one greater and that's Christ and Christ they
Did not adore Christ. They thought was it enemy or or or or or or or crazy or whatever they thought of Christ
Why that crucified and remember Paul was contemporary with Jesus around the same time, you know
These people could have been involved in his actual crucifixion or could have come from the lineage of people that
Acrucified Christ or certainly would have been very familiar that the Jews were involved in the crucifixion of Christ
They then he's saying don't understand that there's one greater than Moses and that's that one Christ
Which is by the way we mentioned the stoning of Stephen why Stephen was stoned
Because he told them the truth and they hated him for telling them the truth
But all of this brings it to here. He ruse for
Okay, and it says seeing that we have such a great this is the verse 14
Seeing then that we have we have a great high priest that's passed into the heavens
Jesus the son of God
Let us hold fast our profession for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our
Affirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin
Let us therefore come boldly under the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need
This would have been
Really really revolutionary
For the Jew they would have not been familiar with this idea of being able to approach God without the high priest there
Without the tabernacle without the temple without the sacrifice
This would have all been very challenging to them and in light of that the writer of Hebrews Paul is saying
Whole fast because he has been through what you've been through he's felt what you've felt
And maybe Paul was even thinking of Exodus 3 7 that the Lord said I heard their cry by reason of their
Taskmasters for I know their sorrows
God knows your pain and it's all the more reason in scripture and Old Testament and new to understand he is worthy
Of our adoration and praise and our prayer
And so hold fast if you're going through something hold fast hold fast to the Lord Jesus Christ
Understand he knows exactly what you're going through
And if you'll just believe he will deliver you Peter writes about this
That you go through a time of turmoil and eventually he strengthens you he establishes you have your peace
Hold fast don't
Don't give up don't turn to the world
Don't stop believing
Trust the Lord Jesus Christ that he really is
Faithful and that he really does know exactly what you're going through
And through his perfect work
He will make you into who he wants you to be as Romans 8 28 tells us
He'll make you into what he wants you to be and you'll be blessed for it
Thank you for listening to the next time take care God bless amen
