Patriots Add Veteran CB Vildor, Boosting Secondary

The New England Patriots just added some veteran experience to their defense by signing

corner-back Kindleville Door to a one-year deal.

This move brings in a player with direct ties to head coach Mike Vrable and assistant

head coach Tarell Williams from their past teams.

ville Door spent last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appearing in 12 games and picking

of one interception.

Three passes defended and 16 tackles.

His pro career kicked off as a fifth round pick with the Chicago Bears, where he started

12 games in the 2021 season and nine, the next year before getting released.

He then had a short stint with the Titans under Vrable, just two games, followed by time

on the Eagles practice squad and a stop with the Lions, alongside Williams.

The Patriots already have Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis as their starting cornerbacks,

but they let restricted free agent Alex Austin Walk.

Without a tender offer, creating a need for more depth.
