Patriots Eyeing A.J. Brown Trade, Eagles Prefer Later Picks

There is growing buzz that the New England Patriots could be in the mix to trade for Philadelphia

Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown. Fans and insiders see the past as a real contender if Philly decides

to move him this off-season. Any deal likely won't happen until after June 1st.

That's when the Eagles avoid a massive $43 million cap hit and there might be other reasons

for them to hold off until summer, which wouldn't thrill New England fans.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter shared his take on a Philly Sports radio show.

He thinks the Eagles would much rather get draft picks from 2027 and 2028, over ones from this year

or next. Philadelphia already has nine picks lined up for this year's draft and they're expecting

11 or 12 total. Schefter points out they don't need more right now, especially since this draft

isn't seen as a strong one. Meanwhile, the 2027 class lifts loaded so the Eagles want ammo for
