Peevy Extends Stay at DePaul, Kentucky Athletic Director Search Continues

This comes right after PB's name surfaced as a candidate for the Athletic Director job at Kentucky, following Mitch Barnhart's retirement, announcement. PB spent 12 years at Kentucky from 2008 to 2020, including seven years as Deputy Director of Athletics. He joined DePaul in 2020 and got an earlier extension in 2023, highlighting his success and leading the program's growth. Kentucky's search faces big challenges from recent changes in college sports, like name, image, and likeness deals and limited funds for athletes. University President Eli Capillato stressed the need for leaders who can navigate these issues efficiently across all sports. Other candidates include Alabama's Greg Byrne, who once worked under Barnhart at Kentucky, and Kentucky's own Deputy A.D. Mark Hill.
