Triple M Robby, Galley, let's do this.
We pressed play, skipped the ads, and sorted the good from the garbage.
Here's what's worth watching this week. What's streaming?
And Claire Rigden from the Western STM at George's right now.
Our screen queen. Hello, Claire. How you doing?
I am screen queening up a store.
But before we get into your recommendations, Claire,
give your TikTok a plug because I am loving the series that you're doing.
Obviously, we only give two recommendations here,
but you give some great recommendations on your TikTok.
Oh, yeah. Oh, thanks for that.
Yeah, screen queen, Claire, which is really hard to say,
but can I already say it's clear?
Yeah, just look me up because every week we're talking about TV on TikTok,
I give lots and lots of recommendations.
So if you go back through my page, you'll have probably about two years
worth of TV to catch up on.
And you can read the comments and find out what everybody else is into.
There's some absolutely hilarious comments in there,
like people are very passionate about their TV.
So yeah, if you're into all things tele, drop me a follow,
because yeah, we're chatting about it on the talk.
Love that from you, Claire.
Now, let's talk about a show that popped up a couple of days ago
and it's got Nicole Keeman in it.
She seems to just do every show on streaming that you possibly can.
But this looks good, Scar Petta.
She plays Dr. K Scar Petta.
And if that sounds familiar to you,
that's because you probably have read one of the books
that her character has is front and center in Patricia Cornwall.
She was very big in the 90s.
Yeah, like I pretty much have read all of her books.
And there's like a bajillion of them.
And there she plays a forensic pathologist,
kind of like chief medical examiner in America.
And she kind of solves crimes with the police force.
And yeah, so her books were really big back in the day.
And they're just like now a mainstay of second-hand bookshops
and back packer hostels.
I see a pretty much always buying one.
Yeah, it's really good.
It's kind of a great mix of CSI style procedural crime show
and then like a more characterly drama like Big Little Eyes.
So it's kind of, it's interesting.
And yeah, I mean just to know what people are going to think about this one,
I think it's going to find its audience for sure.
And it's on Amazon Prime too.
And just quickly, Claire, Outlander, it's the last season.
People love this show.
Oh my god, people are obsessed with Outlander.
It's been going for years and years up.
Famously it stars Sam Huen.
I think that's Jose's name and Katrina Balfe
as kind of StarCross lovers, time-traveling lovers, Jamie and Claire.
And in this season, it's the final one that recently there was an Outlander spin-off
which kind of imagines the sort of prequel to their love story,
which is kind of interesting, it's worth a look.
But yeah, this one sees the couple returning to Fraser's Ridge
after Jamie's kind of retired from the Continental Army.
And he's back home that wars kind of follow them there.
And the phrases are like going to kind of come up against it in this final series.
And you have to see how, you know, what they're going to sacrifice
in order to stay together.
If you've read the books, you'll know what's these,
because they're set, they're based on a series of books.
You'll probably know what's ahead.
But it's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.
And fans are going to be frothing for this one,
because I cannot tell you how many people are obsessed with Outlander.
Like, I feel like every second person I know is obsessed with this.
I've never massively got into it.
It's like a period show.
And yeah, it's sort of like a weird mix of kind of period drama
and historical fantasy.
Yeah, I'm not really selling it.
Why's your season one, and I liked it, Claire?
I never watched the other ones, but the first one, it was good.
Yeah, I think there's like 10 seasons or something.
So if you're looking for something watching, you know,
while you're seconds cleaning, it's kind of one of those shows
that can really hook you in.
And like, I know people who've gone,
oh yeah, I'll just check out this show.
And then like, you know, several weeks later,
they've finished every season of it.
Well, Claire, as per usual, you've got the good recommendations.
Thank you so much for joining us.
Thanks for having me.
