PFF: Keaton Mitchell Threatens Omarion Hampton's Fantasy Football Value

Proflipal Focus has labeled Los Angeles Chargers Running Back, Omerian Hampton, a fantasy

football loser after the team's first free agency moves.

Analysts Nathan Jonkey points to the signing of Keaton Mitchell as the main issue for managers

counting on Hampton.

Mitchell joined the Chargers on a two-year deal worth $9,250,000.

He's expected to see more playing time in Los Angeles than he did with the Ravens, splitting

carries alongside Kamani Vidal as a backup option.

This addition brings speed and quickness to the Chargers' offense, something they lacked

last season.

Hampton remains the top choice to start, but Mitchell could cut into his workload enough

to keep him out of the top 10 running backs in fantasy.

Mitchell showed promise last year with 341 rushing yards on 59 carries for Baltimore.

The 24-year-old averaged 5.8 yards per catch that season and 6.3 over his three-year career,

though injuries have, held him back.

Looking ahead, offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel wants a faster attack similar to

his success in Miami.

If Mitchell stays healthy, he could change how carries are split in the backfield for

the upcoming season.
