Hey, what's up, Andy? How you doing?

Look, man, Warriors lose tonight to the Denver Nuggets, which was presumed, right? You know,
Nuggets are a title contender. The Warriors are a hospital team at this point, right?
And we're inching closer, seven games away from the end of the season.
Huh, I don't know. Where's your head at these days, Andy? How you feeling?
Can we resign, Przenguys, to a $440 million contract? Because is that pot? Is that...
Can we throw that up,aredo? Can we kill it? I don't think it looks that kind of money.
But he does look... It's insane how quick he went from like,
everyone's like, he has a terminal illness. He's going to die or something. I don't know.
Like, I'm exaggerating, of course. But, you know, it's like, oh, he'll never be the same. And then
like, two weeks with Rick Celebrini. And he looks phenomenal. I lost a put in like...
I am confused. I'm not even going to speculate because I genuinely have no idea, but
all of a sudden, he's just out there playing and he's got his rhythm back and the three
pointers going and he's just he's just moving normally, you know, like, just a move. Looks, looks
like Przenguys. I'm not going to lie to you. It's not like I've watched a lot of Przenguys in my
career. The last time I remember watching him was during the Celtics when they won the championship.
And honestly, he couldn't even play at the end, but he was part of the reason why they weren't
stoppable with that season's arm. That was kind of like the last time he played meaningful true
minutes end up. I just this is the type of player. I jokingly, 30 mil, 40 mil, what did I just make
up? But like, this is the type of player that the warriors need next season. They have to have a
back, dude. Like, this is... He's so good. He's so good when he can just stay upright. When he can
just bring in court, he's so good. It's ridiculous. I mean, the reason he's very good for a lot of
reasons, but the thing that differentiates him from the other players on the warriors
floor right now, which is to say, you know, no Jimmy, no staff and those guys, is he does multiple
things, which a lot of them do. Like, he does multiple things. Pause does multiple things. Like,
a lot of these guys are very versatile, but he can actually score the ball too. You know what I'm
saying? Like, he's actually... He's got defensive versatility. He can clue or protect the rim. He's
a good passer. He rebound for his position. He can do a ton of stuff, but on top of that,
you have to actually guard him, and you probably have to send two of him when he's going, you know,
and that's the difference. Like, he's an actual all-star level talent. I don't know if he'll ever be
an all-star again. I don't know if his body's going to allow him to play the minutes it requires,
but like, in terms of talent, I love ghee. I like pods. I like those guys. Don't get me wrong,
but like, the ease at which scoring comes to him, particularly like the mismatch in the post,
they haven't had a guy who can attack a mismatch in the post. But I didn't think about Jimmy can do
that, but Jimmy doesn't a different way. I was going to say it feels like KD with that sort of
stuff. You know, where it's just like, oh, smaller guy on me. Post turn, you know what I'm saying?
Like that sort of thing, right? He relax. Posing has got a better shot. Now,
I think here's an ease, very easy comparison, because I'm going to operate on the assumption that
he's come back. I think we're going to talk about it a little bit more later, but he did talk about,
like, hey, I love the time here. I love Celebrini, and then you've got guys like
like like a like a
Mandi pool talking about like, hey, you know, there's a good chance that he's going to be sound
to worry. So like, I think he's going to be back. But Sam, I think the obvious comparison to
warriors taking a gamble, but very talented guy is the Andrew Wing. It's more like, hey,
let's just different situation where it's like Wiggins wasn't actually good. And then it turns out,
hey, he's the number one overall pick. Dude, it's got some talent. Let's go figure that out.
For Zingas, he's got a ton of talent. He just, he just has a real, a real. And then whenever he's
on the court, and now all of a sudden, he played 29 minutes tonight, I step three. By the way,
four games in a row, he's played that range. It's been 29, 27, 30, 29. Like, he's played that
four games in a row now. It's a lot of minutes. A lot of games for him. To me, it just feels like
when you have a real talent out there, that's what it looks like. I think, I think I'm just kind of
saying what you're saying, but it is fourth overall pick. Seven, like, he was the unicorn
before, when he was, I think, before all these other guys were, I think he was the seven-foot
guy that could shoot the reason, could defend the room. So he's 30 now. He's not going to do all
those things consistently all the time. But man, come on. Like, this isn't a guy that they're
saying, let's build this team around him. That's not what the warriors are doing. This is
guy that were there saying, hey, we're going to put this dude next to Steph, next to whoever,
next season. I'm just going to say Steph. I don't know who else, but just next to them, and that's
the perfect player. That's the perfect player if he can play. He's also two thoughts at that.
He's 30. He'll be 31 next season. That's how old it's actually in your prime. So if they can
manage the health, that's actually exactly the type of player that you want, which is the guy
between 26 and 32. And the second point is, I actually think the better comparison is
Andrew Bogot. Because Bogot was a talented player. But the injuries had everyone kind of like
ayes cooked. It's like he had a ton of time, but he was very impactful. I don't know how much
our listeners remember. He was really fucking good for the wars. Really good. Obviously,
the small ball lineup took all the credit from 2016 on, but they don't want to title with that
Andrew Bogot. He was so important to everything they did. Different type of player, but the move
reminds me of that, which is a choir guy. Everyone knows is super talented, but no one thinks
can say healthy. See if we can fix it in some capacity. I mean, that's that's kind of where they're
at their best. Let's be honest. That is the buy the distressed asset. By the way, Bogot was actually
the number overall pick. This is how long. And like he said, I don't know people remember that.
He was out. Wiggins. By the way, also number one pick. And porzing is the number four pick. So
it's like, I'd agree. Everyone's kind of out on them. Is it time to trade for Zachary Risha?
We should say. Is that the move? Well, the baby, they should have done that when they trade it.
Maybe you should have put that in the package. The warriors can't draft their own high pick guys
and but hey, if they identify someone else's high pick guy, then it workout. It does work for the
warriors. Like it does. It does work. So maybe like you said, Risha, Shay, I don't know what's going
on with him. Maybe they should go target. No, no, no, no, it has to be in your prime. It has to be
like 26 and up guys, though. It can't be like other lottery guys that are 23 years old. You know,
they got to get like the older in your prime ready to go high talent guys. Hey, the warriors
are good at that. I feel like we talk so much about what the warriors organization isn't good at.
But they are good at getting these guys and then saying Rick, go figure it out, buddy.
And it works. I mean, Rick, Rick's the MVP of the organization. We've been saying for a while,
but it really is the only part of the organization. I feel like they consistently get above
returns on, which is like he could keep them healthy. He can, he can help them that way. And so,
you know, that's a nice advantage to have. You've celebrated a raise, Joe. Get it done. Get done.
On the poor thing, this thing, let's just get into it now. So our guy,
Gistub, CBA, great follow through this out there. And I chatted with him a little bit offline
beyond it. But the context here is someone asks him, can they resign Melton and Perzingus?
And he goes incredibly unlikely. Would need both those guys taking below market or dream on
opting out. Big thanks to our sponsor, Better Help for partnering with us for this important
conversation about mental health. The Steve Smith here, former NFL Y receiver and host of the 89
show on YouTube. So having a counselor and work with Better Help, that gives you an opportunity to

H-E-L-P dot com slash 89 to get started. When you manage procurement for multiple
facilities, every order matters. But when it's for a hospital system, they matter even more.
Granger gets it and knows there's no time for managing multiple suppliers and no room for
shipping delays. That's why Granger offers millions of products and fast dependable delivery.
So you can keep your facility stocked, safe, and running smoothly. Call 1-800-Ranger-Click-Ranger-dot-com
or just stop by. Granger, for the ones who get it done. Out or resigning at a lower figure,
make some trades. At this point, they'll resign KPN melt and we'll get a nice steel elsewhere.
And so in talking with them and in doing my own research and kind of getting into the bottom of it,
the reality is to keep melting. They're most likely going to have to give him the full
mid-level. And if you give him the full mid-level, your hard cap to the first apron, which is projected
at 210 next year, which doesn't mean a ton to our listeners, but when you factor in,
they're going to have a first round pick, which is going to get between five and a half and
six million on the slotting scale. You have the contracts on your books that you already have,
everything from staff and Jimmy to Tramon to Yeesanto's even. Pods, all those guys.
All of a sudden, now you're in a scenario where if you give melting that full mid-level,
which do you agree with me, he's going to get that from someone. He's getting that 15 a year from
someone. I don't think, yeah, I think so. And so if they do that, they hard cap themselves
the first apron. And if no one else moves, that means they can really only give Posingus four
to five million, which is probably not getting it done. So two things to call out here. One,
Dramon could opt out. They could get Dramon to do like a two to three year deal, which spreads
the money out, which would open up space to give melting the full mid-level and give Posingus
probably what he wants. That's option one. Option two is a find a way to move off of other money
in different capacities. That could be moving Moses Moody. That could be trading Jimmy. That could
be a bunch of different things. Or option three is none of those things happen and you just have
to make a choice between the two. And so my question for you is not do you want them both back?
My question is if you are stuck in a bind, which one of the two are you keeping?
It's not close. It's Posingus because he's the better player, but they both have so many
question marks around him that I think it's a wash. I just think like Melton has just been injured
his whole career, but then also it's Posingus. But when you put him fully healthy, which one's
a better player, it's Posingus and he always has been. Not just because we just watched four
straight games of him being out there. That's not the reason why. And we've seen Melton struggle,
which we knew I knew was going to happen because he's not a ball handler. That's not who he is.
He's not a primary option. He's out of position exactly, which is why I was like, you don't
got to worry about him blowing up. It's not his role. His role was to be the secondary guy.
I get Steph back at Jimmy back. But I think it's KP, I don't think it's close. I think it's not even
a question. Sam, it pains my heart though if they do have to pick one or the other. I think
Dremon, you mentioned it. Dremon opting out and taking less money, I think is maybe not a likely
option. But of the options, I think the one that can happen, like I don't know about the trades,
that's always I don't expect this team to figure stuff out on the trade market. But can Steph
convince a hard one? They are hard for this team. But it's like, can they convince, can Steph
and Dremon and Steve, can they convince, you know what to say? Like, hey, opt out. And like you
said, three years, 50 mil, I don't know, I don't know, whatever. And just make it so that it's more
palatable to pay both guys that I think that's like a possibility. But I've had to pick one.
You put the guy that's a good, you picked the guy that's that's really, really good. And it has
been really good. It has been an all-star. And the last thing is, poor Zing is makes it so that
Dremon can stay on the court. Without poor Zing is I just don't know if Dremon can play basketball
at like a real impact level. But if you told me KP is on the court with him,
it has to play to five, which runs into its own issues. But yeah, no, I mean, that's a good call
out because since poor Zing has his got his legs under him, he's didn't even all the way there,
but like, you know, getting into this like near 30 minutes of game, Mark. Dremon looks a lot better.
He's looked a lot better. Like, because he's he's always going to be one of the smartest players in
NBA. But now he doesn't have to play center all the time. And he looks, I don't know, man,
even tonight, I thought it looked great, you know, and I looked actually on another, you know,
13, 8 and 4 from him, you know, he's he's playing good ball in this situation tonight. He was
actually really good tonight. And it's been a few games in a row of this. And I know they're playing
taking teams other than tonight. And I'm not going to like make some overarching statement that
he's back or anything like that. But like to your point, having a legitimate stretch five
does open up the court for him. And that's nice. That is real nice to have. So I don't know.
The only thing I'm going to say about Melton is, do you watch the game before? Do you watch a thunder
versus the next? I do. Yeah, I cut the second half of it. The thunder are essentially
Shay, Chat, Jalen, and 10 Melton's. Yeah, they're, you know, they get the Curuso Melton. They
got the Kasson walls. Like, these are all like facsimiles of him, which is to say, he's a damn good
player. Those guys also look, would look awful if they were asked to be primary options. Like,
Kasson Wallace is a primary creator. I don't know if you're going to like, I don't know if you're
going to like that, guys. I don't know if you're going to like it. Let me ask you this. How much
much money do you think Kasson Wallace is going to make on his next country? He's going to end up
getting in the same range as Melton. These guys are getting, I tell you this, mid teens to 20
somewhere in the, somewhere in that, because what did Curuso ended up getting a shade under 20,
a year? Like, he got, like, something in that range. And when you see what's happened,
and when you see what the cap is right now, like good role players are getting that anywhere from
what? Like, if you, if you, if you get them on a contract before they blow up, you might be
able to get them to 10 to 12, like, like an Aaron Neesmith, they're like, honestly, what Moses
Moorie signed for, right? And if you wait a little longer, they might be able to push 20, you know,
but they're in that range. Like Nikhil Alexander Walker even comes to mind. He took the full mid-level
last year, 15 a year. So I think he's getting that from someone. Everyone's looking for guys who
can do the things they agree. No, no, I agree. And I just asked that about Kasson Wallace because
I'd rather have Kasson Wallace to Melton because he's younger. And he just, he's, that's 22 years old
versus Melton. He's healthy. He plays a lot. But I look, Aruso makes 22 million dollars,
say 20 million, 20 million plus. Cruz is better than Melton. I mean, he's an elite defender.
I would say Melton is like, solidly above average, but Melton's a much better shooter than Coruso.
Or at least you trust him more. So I'm with you. Like, I don't really see how Melton would get,
even if he gets less than 15, like, is it 13? I guess he's not, he's not getting eight million
dollars. There's going to be, there's going to be someone who's in the contention mix,
who has their full mid-level, who's like, you know what? You know what? We need, we need a 3&D guard.
We need a, we need a Derek White type. And Derek White's like the gold standard of this is
better than anyone at it, right? But it's like, it's just think about it. Like, remember the warriors
were coming up? They had money because their guys were cheap and like, we're going to Andre Gidala.
Andre is, Andre is like the gold standard of his type of, like, connector defensive wing,
right? Like, and Andre is one of the best average to do it, right? But it's kind of like one of
those things where it was like, the warriors were able to afford him because they had a young
core that didn't cost money. There's going to be someone out there who looks at Melton and
it's like, this is the vet we need. He fills a role. He's going to make our young guys better. He
defends. He's a closing lineup player. So along the short of it is like, he's going to have
that market for him. Even even if he gets less than 15 and he gets 13 or 12, like, that doesn't,
that doesn't make it so that the warriors can pay KP more. Look at that much more.
Like, they're going to need, they're going to need someone to either trade or like,
drain on top or something. Yep. Yep. So we'll see, we'll see, we'll see what that lands. All right.

I'm giving you a deal. Come on. Free. Did you know that the warriors are going to get LeBron?
Have some legs. Also potentially going to get Kauai.
Hey, I had a question for you. Why is it when I look at people photoshop pictures together?
They make these graphics, our friends at Clutch Sports and Clutch Sports points and things like that.
But they always put like Steph. They put Dremont and LeBron. They put like Jimmy there or something.
I don't understand. I'm like, so how do the warriors get LeBron and then they keep Jimmy Butler?
How does that work? Or even like Dremont? Is LeBron coming on a vetman that I'm missing out on?
Is that a thing? Is that what's going on? I'm genuinely asking Sam, how are these rules even
going to happen? How is it LeBron trade even happen?
So that's the first part. I've read stuff that suggest that they'll get them on less than
a mid-level or something. I believe it when I see it. I do think it's possible because Jimmy's
expiring that if they move Jimmy's contract, they can open up the money.
I don't know. I feel like a shot in the dark, but it is kind of,
isn't it kind of funny? Like instead of actually going out and getting a young co-star,
which is what Steph needs. I agree. They're like, what if we go get an old guy so everyone feels happy
here and then when they're all injured, we can be like, yeah, we're doing it. We're trying our best,
guys, we're trying our best. I would personally love the LeBron move. I think Kauai, I'm a little
more agnostic about even though Kauai, I think it's enough to get a better player. Do I believe?
Do I believe he can stay healthy two years in a row? The answer is zero percent.
So it's like porzingus. Do I fucking believe that when he re-signs with the warriors that he's
going to play 50 games versus zero? But I just, the LeBron stuff, just I love it just because of the
narrative is good for warriors fans. You've got a guy that, you know, Steph had battled forever and
all of a sudden LeBron's on his last legs and he's got to go and run and play with Steph instead of
the team that franchised that he's been at. For the longest in his career, the Lakers,
all of a sudden they're just like, whatever. We don't care. The Lakers are like, we don't care,
LeBron. You can stay. You cannot stay. It doesn't matter. We got Luca. We got a top 5 player in the
world. We got top 3 player in the world. You're a fucking want LeBron. It doesn't matter to us.
We'll figure it out ourselves. We could use that cap space to get someone else. We got Luca,
we got Austin Reeves. We'll figure the rest out. We don't actually need you. I think that's hilarious.
It's good for the warriors from a narrative perspective. But I don't know where you want it to go with
this one. I don't want it. I don't want to take over the segment. But I want the LeBron to
want to happen. I really, I need it. So you feel pretty, you feel stronger about what?
Because he's so old, dude. It's for you. It wouldn't work. I don't know. We know it wouldn't work.
You know it. I think they know it. What do you mean it doesn't work?
It's just like how we wouldn't work this season, man. They're too old. They're just a healthy.
They're not. They're not. They're going to have their games. That's for sure.
What? Dude, you said it at the last show. I mean, even if they were healthy,
LeBron took the first half of the season off. Even if they were healthy, LeBron's taking games off.
They're not going to be able to win those games. Like they need, they need a.
Oh, it's caring, bro. Pause going to be caring. Well, they need a pot. They need,
they need him. They need him to be like pods. You're going to have to go get 25, right?
Because it ain't going to be LeBron and it ain't going to be Steph.
If it's Steph, he's going to get injured. If it's LeBron, you're going to get injured, right?
That's what I mean by it won't work. Yeah.
It just, I mean, to me, what these leaks suggest to me is the warriors want people to think
they're trying, but they're not really trying. That's how I read it.
Because they want LeBron or Kauai on the same terms that they got Jimmy, which is low risk.
Maybe we throw one pick in one pick, one pick.
They don't actually want to commit to Steph.
They want to put something on the floor that makes people feel good.
And then when the most likely scenario happens, which is, what do you think,
Steph at age 38, turning 39 and LeBron at 41, turning 42 is going to be the most likely
scenario is what you said. Maybe too old. They're going to be injured.
It is what it is. They're going to have a couple of games which make you and I believe,
but there's no way that that can stay for 82, right? That's like the reality of it.
And that's just when I hear warriors management, all I hear is they want to do something like that
and it feels like, I don't call it PR, but it kind of is PR when you generate the type of money
they generate. You know what I'm saying? People are like, oh, they're paying the luxury tax,
I'm like, bro, they print money. I'm not impressed. I know what the Chase Center tickets cost.
I'm not impressed that Joe cuts a check to the league. But it's like one of those things where
it's like they want to present a show, but not go all in. Maybe it's right. Maybe that's the
right way to handle it. Maybe you and I would be pissed off if they sold four picks, got Yannis,
nothing better happened than what they would get with a LeBron or a Kauai. And then they just
suck for eternity. You know, maybe that's true. Maybe it is true. I'm not saying it's not in the realm
of possibility. I'm just saying the way that these moves get leaked and then the way you just hear
everyone talk about it the same over and over again. Just suggest to me that they don't really
care about going all in. They just want to, they want to do the best they can without actually
making themselves uncomfortable. Does that make sense? Yeah, I agree. I would argue even if they
make the move, it's like it's almost PR. Like this isn't actually like move them towards a place
that they gets them anywhere. But again, I'm with it. I would eat the PR up. But I'm with you.
Like it's not a risk. It's not a risk to just, we keep saying it's not a risk to trade for Jimmy.
It's not a risk to go try to get Yannis. It's not a risk to go to any of the stuff. These are easy
decisions that you and I can make. Like nobody's losing their jobs because oh, we tried to go get Yannis,
but the bucks are un-serious. Yes, the bucks are un-serious. Yannis is un-serious. But you know what
you can do? You can pivot and go do something else that's actually realistic because you're not
getting Yannis, right? Like that's that's the stuff that front offices get actually paid for. Those
are the front offices that actually win. This one isn't. They just, they don't have the guts to
make those decisions. They only make the easy ones. Very easy decisions that anybody can make.
And that's like, LeBron, like try to get LeBron. We're going to try to get Yannis.
Yeah, dude. No fucking shit. Everyone's going to try to do that. It's like, yeah, if you told me you
had the thunders, if you had Sam Presti in the front office and now you have 25 draft picks,
they don't be like, hey, man, do whatever you want. But last I checked, they don't, right? They're
just kind of hoping and praying, hoping and praying. It's kind of, it's kind of what they do.
All right, let's get to Guru here. Oh, we're getting to Guru tonight. We're getting to
Guru. Okay. Okay, guys. All right. Let's go. Hey guys, what's going on?
You guys hearing? Just another Sunday night. How you doing, bro? Yeah, doing doing doing good,
doing good. You know, babies keeping me busy through this time. So helping me forget about
what's going on on the basketball side of things. But, you know, they did catch tonight's game. I
I think caught the games for the past week or so. I mean, KP looks impressive. I mean,
looking at the bright side, right? It's, I mean, he looks like a fit, right? And I, you know,
I totally agree with you guys that if it comes down to, you know, KP or Milton, I think I think
the choice is obvious, right? I think I think you go KP, especially since like Milton. I mean,
it's, it's kind of unfair, you know, because he's been like thrown into a role that like,
it's not a good fit for him at all. Like, like, handling the ball, shooting off the dribble,
that's not, that's not his strength whatsoever. And, you know, these past couple of months have been
sort of a sort of a, you know, a summary of what melting is not rather than what melting is.
Right? And, you know, that might affect, you know, salary discussions going forward. Like, is he
really worth the mid-level? But, you know, you know, it is what it is. I mean, I don't know how much
money the words are going to have left after, you know, if they, if they somehow squeeze KKP and
Milton into that salary slot, you know, that's, you know, that's going to be, that's going to determine
what they do in the oxygen. And I mean, trading, I mean, trading Jimmy for like extra money,
that just, it doesn't seem plausible unless, unless you're giving up picks, but hey, that's what the
words have done in the past, you know, they, they, they, they get off salary. That's pretty much only,
the only time when they trade their picks is getting off salary. So that's who they are. But, I mean,
yeah, I mean, KP looked good. That's, I, I have to, I have to look at the bright side of things
everyone's a little out, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Appreciate you, man. And hopefully the kid is
sleeping on bright side of things. Yeah, he is. He is. That's why. Nice.
Nice. There we go. That's the real, that's the real dark clock. And that's that's the real
I've become, I've become a master at putting her to sleep. Yeah. There's one thing about her.
For you, man. Yeah. Much love, dude. Good luck.
All right, Tasha. What's up, bro?
Right now, I'm so, I'm surprisingly happy. I'm probably happy because I saw,
I do, be unable to understand how to pass out of a double team. So it's a war. It's my heart to
know that you always fumbled bad. That was, that was insane. That was an insane game, by the way.
That was it. We're not going to get too into it, but I was watching it. I was like,
oh, they're going to blow this, aren't they? I was just like momentum with college basketball
is so much heavier than the NBA, where it's just like, oh, no, oh, no. And then you get that
possession, they throw the ball away. And I was just like, he's hitting this. He's hitting this.
Mullins, by the way, projected to the Warriors in the latest feature report mock.
It's our guy now. It's our guy. Big shot.
Yeah, I was kind of watching that game probably because I was a little bit interested in
campus here. And maybe you brought it up on a recent part recently, but I was kind of curious,
I'd say, like, at one point, what would you rather have? Would you rather have the copium of Adam
Silver giving us the ultimate ball out of winning twice contract and he joins the West Coast
in the Bay, or we get like a top three pick out of what has happened from the season.
Oh, it's a good hypothetical. Neither are going to happen. Let's be real.
That's fair. That's fair. I'm all over here.
Well, all we have is hope. Which would I prefer? It's a good question. I think I want the top three
pick. I think I think I want the top three pick. I think I'm a little jaded. I don't trust
Kawaii's health. I just I could totally see them gain Kawaii and need giving out thanksgiving
and then just this for 60 games. So I will say I don't know the other two guys,
Darren Peterson or H.A. Diabond, so I don't watch it. I didn't ever watch either of them,
but I did watch Booser tonight because it was it was the game. It was the national TV game.
If for some reason he's on the Warriors, he'd be a perfect pick. Perfect Warriors player.
I mean, he just he is just he just knows how to play basketball. He is he's a good shooter. He
knows what he knows. He's a dude guy. He knows exactly what to do on the quarter all times.
Steve Crow would love him. So yeah, I mean, like I know for sure if the Warriors draft him,
that it wouldn't be a James wise in this situation. So it's like I might actually go with that.
Like I know that's a guy that can play now and then he could be like decent later. Like he does
look like he looks slow. He looks like he looks small compared to like other fours and fives to
me a little bit. So it's like what happens to him after, but like who gives a shit? Like if I know
he's on my team with Steph next season, like he can play like there's no like oh let's hope
Cam Booser can fucking figure out how to play basketball. Like no, I watch one game tonight and
I'm like I don't know what like the true upside is. Like I don't know if I'm in on all of that,
but I can tell you right now you will play 28 minutes a game right tomorrow on the Warriors.
I think people are underwriting the upside because he's not a great athlete, but there is a
realistic chance there is a realistic chance that he's just a it's never like the idea he's
going to figure out how to work being ground bound like he's yoked. It's like that's that's like
that's what betting, but that's like betting every athlete's going to figure out a jump shot.
Like I don't know if you do that, you know, I mean that's true, but like to but to your point,
like I wouldn't I feel like his floor is like Alhorfer level. Like he just he's such a smart player
has touch, can pass. Like he's going to be good. So yeah, I grew it that I grew it. You would play.
I don't know the other two guys, but if you give me top three pick like tell you Steve,
I'm still I'm still highest on Peterson. I'm assuming the medicals check out, but we'll see.
I do think I'm more in on a top three pick in this draft than Kauai. Although I'll be happy
either way to be clear. Like I'm not going to say no to either. I'm just saying getting a top three
pick in a draft where I feel confident those guys can actually play versus the wiseman thing.
Like yeah, it'd be nice to have a young guy who can play immediately, who has an upside and
and kind of changes the trajectory of the franchise relative to an old injured guy.
Yeah, and I do. Oh well, appreciate you guys. I just wanted to say like I don't I feel like we
just need a wing that can play right away. I'm kind of at least I'm done with the guards for
the time being because we have enough guards. That's all I'll say. Yeah, I mean, they definitely
do wings. There's no way around that. I'd appreciate that point. I mean, particularly with the
Moses injury, like they need wings with Moses. Now they definitely need more wings. So I
yeah, I was forgot about Moses injury. Don't remind me, dude.
Eashon, what's up, man? It's been a minute. Hey, in a minute, we got all the classics today.
I love it. Yeah, I I've been watching like I think it's like funny. Like we make fun of players
like Traymon and Pods for like looking bad on like a daily basis sometimes, but like watching
Yards of In. I'm like, oh my god, like that is crazy. Like how bad an NBA an NBA player can look
sometimes, but it gives you a lot of like, you know, like Traymon and Pods, baby, not maybe we
need to chill on that a little bit. But pods pods, honestly, to me, like I'm loving it. It looks
awesome. I maybe that's a hot take, but I love what he's doing out there. The shot, it looks good.
I think there's a ceiling there and I'd like to hang on to him because I really think those
percentages can get higher. I like his process. I like I feel like that open three can really start
to fall at a more consistent rate. And I like to see that through and I liked his quote about the
the I can do it, you know, and with Steph out, like I think he is building his confidence and I'm
seeing that from him. Like he's dribbling better. He's passing better. He's shooting better. And
like I don't know why we're hating on him for having confidence in himself. Like and this was
the point of like stepping out for like players like him to like step up and find a role for themselves
and find a place in the NBA. Also like KP, like I think there's a lot there and I really hope
he resigns because I think Dreymon and Jamie need to get on his ass next year about like playing
with some more fire. And I get that he's not healthy all the way, but like there is a little bit
of like soft tendencies there, like, you know, getting boards or like crashing and like, you know,
going in for a dunk or posting up and not getting under the under the basket and settling for some
weird fadeaways sometimes, but like I I want Dreymon and Jimmy to be locked in next year and get
on his ass for being good. My last thing was I kind of wanted a kind of wanted your perspective on
I was thinking about this and there's objective there's objectiveness and vibes wise. I'm
feeling a lot of similarities to 2020 and 2021 season, the one where we lost in the plan.

it feels really emotional. Do you guys have more of a saucepot for ghee or JTA? It feels like
while these pieces are like meshing and next year they'll come back stronger. That's just kind of
my take on everything. Appreciate you guys. I just wanted to say that.
Thanks for showing me. I like it. I do agree with you in the macro that like, okay,
so it sucks losing your main guys and like we all know like they can only do so much without
Steph and Jimmy. It just does just reality, right? But it's been nice watching guys like pods and
ghee, uh, establish themselves and figure out something there and they can springboard off of that.
I don't agree with the 2021 take because I just think they're so far away from that team.
But I do think they can get something out of these guys to springboard into next year,
particularly if they have a good summer. And lastly, I agree with your point on pods.
I think he's getting unfairly maligned here and he's played some good ball for a few months here.
Again, like at this point, like with pods for me, everything comes back to what's the number you're
going to resign them on. And like, can you get it done? Because what I don't want is them not having
an extension done and then we have a year of pods wanting to prove he's worth more money than he
is and everyone's time being wasted that way. So do you deal with this? I don't know what that
or like his ceiling, like in terms of points per game and percentages. Do you see those going up
at all or you think it's going to kind of stay? I was very high on his ability to grow as a shooter
and it just hasn't happened at the rate I want it to. So I don't know, but I think if it never
grows beyond what he is, he's still a good player and one who plays in any good rotation.
You know what I mean? So I'm not necessarily concerned, but I'm not going to pay him based off of
what I think he might be in two years. You're paying him based off of what he's shown you, right?
Like that's how I look at it. So I think he's played like I thought there was a chance he could
play himself into the 20 to 30 million dollar range based off of the end of last year. I don't
think that's going to happen. I think the reality is he's a teens player, you know, could be 13, 14,
could be could be 18, 19 something in that range. And if they can get that done, that's good.
It's good business. He's worth it. And if it turns into one of those summers where it's like,
I want 30 and I want more responsibility. And you know, he's not worth it.
Then trade him. That's kind of where I'm at. Like what I really don't want is another
Cumminga situation. I want to I want to moody situation. I want a we agree on this number.
We're going to get it done. And we're going to let you develop your home pace at a number that
fits into our books where everyone's happy. The Cumminga situation just like as much as
he and his management deserve blame. I still put more blame on the warriors for not reading
the fucking room. You know, that's kind of where I'm at with that. And so I just want to avoid
those situations. I don't know where his head's at. I don't know where my management's head is.
I just like, you should know by mid-summer. Like, can we get this done four years 60? Or is this
going to be now we're going to drag it into next year and make everything annoying. And he's
going to be unhappy. And he's going to be wanting to prove himself and all that. Like, I just
I'm dumb. You don't see that from good organizations. I'm going to just throw it out there. You
don't see that from the Celtics. They get all their guys signed or moved. You don't see it from
the thunder. They sign the press. By the way, I don't know how press he does it. He gets everyone
to sign for less than their worth. But you know what? He's good at his job. So my point is there's
just a stamp of approval, though. They let Sam Presty do his job. There's no, I mean, the
Clay Bennett isn't going in there and saying like, I can devalue it. You know, I mean, I need
I need AJ. I need AJ Mitchell to get more money, buddy. Yeah, that's I do. You know, no,
because it's going to get on the mic going. We think he could be as good as Shay or something.
And I'm not standing for the fucking Bennett of all people. But no, I my only foreshadowing
maybe a little like what's going to happen is I pause ain't moody. He's more like Amiga.
So I wouldn't I wouldn't sit here and say like he's going to go and sign a contract.
Like he's he is more like him and we know that because listen to him talk. He's literally
he's literally apologizing because all the stupid shit he says that now everybody fucking shits
on him. Yeah, but that's it. But that's that's a that's a that's a part where I'm not sure
because you don't know where someone's head's at. And I'm sure I am sure that he is not going
to sign a below value market deal early. I will bet a lot of money, a lot of money. And I bet
I will be right. I'm just saying it, but I agree with everything you're saying. If they don't
fucking get that done, pausing good enough for you to sit on your ass and just fucking
fucking plate circle jerk with him for fucking six months. Like that's a waste of time. Like he's
not good enough. You can see he was just. Jersey though. I don't give a shit. What do you play? I
don't give a shit. Where are you going? I don't I don't he doesn't first off he doesn't have
the ability to. That's true. So I think I think Andy's point is figure like read the negotiation
and figure out if all right, we're close. We can get this done quick or now this is going to
drag into next year. And it's going to turn into a two year thing. And it's not worth any one's
time. You know, I basically just be a head be ahead of the curve. That's all I'm asking. Like
the money too. Like I think 13 is probably too low for positive. But like because he's he's
actually good. And Moody kind of like took a low less maybe. But it's like he like if it's 18,
like that kind of makes sense. Like it was 20. Like I mean, you got to do it. Like if you can
like he's good enough for 20. But but then if he starts asking for like you said, like 25
30. That's when it's like, I do like I just go go trash someone else man. Like just go go get
whoever who's that guy that made big shot today. I think Sam said like just okay.
I just don't know. But like just just go get someone else because he isn't some he's in some guy
that you're never you're not able to get again. You know what I mean? Like a cam booster is a guy
that's like man, like yeah, they come every draft. But you can't get them every draft. But you
can get a pods every draft. You can't get a cam booster every draft. Definitely not at your one,
two, three. Like definitely not where you're at. So I also say just to piggyback that like I can't
really remember a player who's waited the whole thing out and it's worked out well for the team.
You know, like it's just it's it's one of those things where you know make a decision quick. I
don't like like my big thing is be decisive. Be decisive on it. Get it done. Because the
pods will affect the KP deal deal at all or no. No, no. Because pods extension doesn't hit for
another year. Yeah. Okay. But it's a type of thing where like we've seen it with Jordan pool.
We've seen it with Kuminga where if you don't get guys locked in early, it turns into moods
and it just it has it has the potential to derail your season. So it's funny. It's funny. We're
talking like this because I think you can I think I think there's a writing on the wall.
Angle will be done early. I think that's the reason why we're a little like we'll see we'll see.
Yeah. We'll see if it is. I'm thinking to be wrong. I don't know. Like I don't I don't know
that he's the type of wine pod's duo right there. That's that's that's the that's gonna be
next year. You just you just never know you never know what that like the the reactions
going to be until you put money in front of them. You know, like pods may talk this big game and
they may throw three years 50 mil, which is like 17 a year in front of them. You're like
I'm sorry. That's real money. That's real money. Right. You know, I remember though, the warriors
were kind of like behind the scenes whining that Kuminga had unrealistic expectations about his
contract and they're not wrong. But did they win? Like what did anyone win off of that? We all got
miserable. Like do you like do you think the hawks are going to pick up that option? Like do you
like do you like I you know what I mean? Like I just my take is my take is they're gonna they're
gonna pick it up and trade him. That's my expiring. Yeah. My my take is they're going to find a way
to use him to get what they want. I could be wrong on that like I don't I don't think they view
him as a long term piece. Based on the way that they play him, they certainly don't view him as
a long term piece. Like you're using him just as Jalen Johnson's backup and who got drafted after
I mean he's better than him. He's really good. I might honestly. Yeah, he did. You're right. He
was he was a more touted high school player had some issues. He had the injury stuff.
Injuries. Yeah, some red flag stuff fell in the draft and then you know three years later he's
the better player. Like I'll tell you right now if they get top three pick I trade for Jalen Johnson.
I don't think the hawks are doing it. But you know the hawksman doing it. Hey, oh no.
That draft is an easy day. There really was everyone but there's a lot of it. There's a lot of good
players in that draft. Nobody gets nobody doesn't like Joe. Nobody does. Hey give Joe a third pick.
He might go get he might go get someone off the wall man. Maybe he'll get maybe he'll get the
fucking you know what I need I need Joe not to get Nate a man's that's that's the one that I
just screams screams another is he a is he a tenth of that is he in the range because oh yes
I mean he's he's that if this give him a couple of years he might be the best player in the draft.
Yeah we love that. Yeah we love that. But yeah. Yeah to answer the question I don't dislike him.
I just think he's the Ross player and I don't think he's I don't think it's happening so you're
going to put him with Steve. Steve's gonna love really taking the time out to coach this 19-year-old
kid I assume he's 19 to learn how to play basketball while Stefan is trying to win. They're just
talking about stuff's there. He had drafts in my as well just trade stuff at that point but you
know I that's the other thing and now we're getting kind of we're getting late now here but like that's
the thing where it's like you get these picks and and you got to have to like decide it's like okay
we have Steph we kind of want to use the pick on and like at this point in their career it's like
well Steph's only got a couple years left like do you just pick like a quote unquote like
higher ceiling or excuse me higher four maybe lower ceiling I but it's like dude Steph's
going to be gone like if you like a men's go draft them like that's my thing now it's like
like you know nobody you draft is really going to help stuff anyway if you think a men's in three
years going to turn out to be a superstar then you just go draft them right I just at this point
four years ago though I think that's insane right everyone agrees with that four years ago that's
insane you can't draft wise man but now it's like who you drafting at 11 that's going to help
Steph win this year next year who well it's it gets it gets back to their fundamental issue which
is like they don't have a singular organizational priority they're trying to do a little bit of
everything and that's what leads to these issues like there's a world where
things end up different with kumenga if he is drafted in a different situation but that's not
what happened you know I love it love it isha I appreciate you brother thank you thank you
I'm great I see we end it there appreciate everyone
