Possum Blends in with Toys at Hobart Airport

A live Australian brush-tailed possum, surprised shoppers at Hobart Airport in Tasmania by hiding among plush toy animals in the departure terminal gift shop. A passenger spotted the creature's moving brown eyes, peeking out from the kangaroo display on Wednesday, blending right in with the stuff natives. Surrounded by toy billbees, dingos, and Tasmanian devils, the possum seemed right at home on the crowded shelf. Airport retail manager Liam Bloomfield shared how staff first heard the unusual report from the passenger. The staff member on duty could hardly believe it, and quickly called management while snapping a quick phone video of the furry intruder. As more attention grew, the possum got wary and slipped out the shop on its own. Airport workers safely removed the animal from the terminal without any harm.
