Well, welcome back to with the first pick at a great weekend endy last week, and then
if I'll combine the ran with just 52 days until the 2026 NFL draft, we got a lot of work
to do.
So today, I'm going to let you grade my post combine mock draft, which you can find on
cbsports.com.
That also includes a big trade up the draft board, I want to get your thoughts on that,
for a team that could legit be one player away from the old suitable title there.

Well rested, probably not, but ready to get after it.
Come on, man, I'm always ready.
I can at least fake it for hour, so let's make it do what you do.
Make it till you make it.
So let's start.
And this is my mock draft, so I'm happy.
Not happy.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it, because I know you have some.
We talked about tradition about every one of these players last weekend endy inapolis,
and I got a little crazy this time around.
I'm going to make some moves.
I'm going to save some people's jobs, and perhaps cost some people some jobs based on
how this mock draft goes.
So the first overall pick, the Las Vegas Raiders, you asked John Spitek how that was going
to go in true brand, Carthon G, and fashion, he didn't answer the question, but we know
for Anna Mendoza is going to Las Vegas unless something crazy happens.
There he is smooching the highs and a well deserved honor there for him.
I'll ask you quickly, because we don't have to stick on Fernando.
Any surprising takeaways from our conversation with him, because for me, he was better than
advertised.
No, I agree, man.
I thought he was better than advertised.
He just, you know, for what we had seen publicly, and I know people had, you know, much
to say about the genuine nature of his interviews.
He just felt like a real dude to me when we talked to him, and then when he was walking on set
just to see how big he was.
He said, God was, you know, with nice size, a prototypical NFL quarterback size.
So to me, he just showed, when he came on our set, and I will say, for those out there
listening watching, however you are consuming this podcast, he did say that he does watch
our show and that it was good to meet us in person after seeing us so much on TV.
So shout out to Fernando for supporting with the first peak podcast.
Yeah.
That, that, we had a couple guys tell us that and that, obviously, was a, self-esteem boost
I needed after hanging out with you and Pete Briscoe all week.
So shout out to Fernando for making my life a little easier.
I pick number two.
This has been penciled in as Arbel Reese, but let's mix things up a little bit.
Tell me what you think about the idea of the jets in my latest mock drive going with David
Bailey, who explained to us that he ain't wearing any undershirts or nothing as you see
here.
Unless he gets drafted by a team up north.
This is strictly about all businesses, why he only puts on the pads and the cleats
and gets after it.
Yeah.
I mean, I, he is a definite, you know, undrafted free agent when it comes to the uniform because
he's, you know, he's definitely not passing that test, but he had a little bit more swag
when you met him in person.
But I think my big thing with the New York Jets and especially knowing that Aaron Glenn
will be calling the defense is what's the defensive structure?
Are they going to be a three, four, are they going to be a four or three?
And I think that's going to ultimately determine which one of these past rushes they're going
to take.
I don't think we know.
I think if you go back in the history of Aaron Glenn, when he played, he played in a lot
of three, four structures, but I think the, the defense that he coordinated in Detroit
was a four down structure.
Maybe he's going to go with a multiple look up front.
So we'll see.
And I think as the process goes, I think the picture will be a lot more clear just in terms
of what type of structure they're going to run.
I'll ask you just quickly.
Do you think David Bale could go ahead of our release?
I would say at this point, no, just based off of how he performed in hearing him say
that he wants to be an edge and just feeling like where people view him as an edge.
I'm still going to hold firm on what I believe.
I believe he's probably a better off-ball linebacker than an edge rusher.
So from that standpoint, if you're looking at purely an edge, then David Bale is a better
edge rusher.
But I think our release is the more versatile, probably better all around player.
Okay.
Well, let's see where he goes here.
Hopefully he falls 21 to my Pittsburgh Steelers.
We're now, though, pick number three.
Let's get crazy, Ryan.
You want to get crazy?
Let's get crazy.
I'm doing a Julio Jones style straight up.
The bills are coming from the bottom of the first round where they were picking 26 all
the way up to three.
They have to get to three, delete frog, the Tennessee Titans, the Giants, and the Browns,
all who could be interested in a wide receiver.
And you see the draft hall here.
If you're watching, I'll read it quickly for people who'll be listening to this later.
The 2026 first round pick is what the Cardinals get in 2026 second round pick, 2026 third
round pick, also a 27 first and third bills give all that to get all the way up to three.
And it's reminiscent of this Julio Jones trade.
And I'll just tell you this, Ryan, it felt like a lot of the time you were in the building
in Atlanta when the Falcons moved up for Julio Jones.
It ended up being the right move 2015 2016 season, excuse me, you guys should have won
that Super Bowl.
We know why it didn't happen.
But all the players the Browns received, none of them were really noteworthy or different
to makers by the time it was all said and done.
Brandon Wheaton was a part of that deal, Trent Richardson was a part of that deal.
Grade the pick from the bills perspective that I have in the scenario trading all the way
up.
Grade the player, Carnell tape, because I know you and BMX said Jeremiah Smith would be
a better option, but he's not in this draft class.
And then grade the possibility of this team in Buffalo, Carnell putting them over the hump
to be legit Super Bowl contenders next season.
Well, I appreciate the aggressive nature of the trade.
And like we told Brandon being when he was on set, like, hey man, it almost feels like
you have to come out of this thing with a right wide receiver.
Now we did say we would have his back and help him fight his way out of Buffalo if he
doesn't take a wide receiver.
I like Carnell tape and I think he is a legitimate guy.
However, if you're going to make this type of haul, you have to be sure and feel, you
are concreted in that he is a true indeed number one wide receiver.
And if you don't feel that way, you don't make this trade.
So whether you agree or disagree with whether he's a number one wide receiver, if you're
the Buffalo bills, if you're Brandon being, if you're Joe Brady, and you see this guy
as any elite number one wide receiver, then by all means go up and make the play.
When we were in Atlanta, and we made the play for Julio Jones, the year before we had
finished 30 second and explosive plays, we didn't really have much of a downfield passing
game.
Although we had a righty white and we had a hairy Douglas, and we had a Michael Jenkins,
we go and you get a Julio Jones that added an instant explosion factor to your offense.
And obviously like you said, he eventually became one of the elite wide receivers in the
league of potential Hall of Famry, probably will be a Hall of Famry.
And although righty white really had taken off at that stage and established himself as
a number one wide receiver, he became the number two guy in that room.
And so I say that, I say all that to say is, will the Buffalo bills walk away feeling
like we have our version of Julio Jones or whoever you comp, Carnell takes who to be your elite
number one wide receiver.
I just don't see him in that vein.
I still think it's going to be a good quality starting where severs going to be productive
and have a great career.
I just don't know that you make this type of hall to go up to get him.
Yeah, he's not Julio Jones for sure.
You have Josh Allen, the Falcons hadn't met Ryan.
So and it's do or die time.
It feels like for Brandon being in the bills because we had a long conversations about
the window now closing after the last demoralizing playoff loss to the Broncos this time for
the Buffalo bill.
So we're getting aggressive here.
All right.
I'll read you all picks five through four through six here before we take a break ran.
And are you surprised that sunny styles is now number four going to the Titans ahead of
Caleb Downs.
You now goes number five to the Giants and is the second Ohio State player off the board
after Cardinal Tate this mock draft and then finally at number six, even though the
Browns just traded for earlier today, Titus Howard.
He could into playing guard.
We don't know.
I have them taking right tackle Frances Malanoa out of Miami.
So you have sunny styles of the Titans Caleb Downs to the Giants and the Browns take
Frances Malanoa.
What do you think about those picks?
Now, sunny styles, especially the way he performed.
This feels like a Robert Salah pick just because and having the experience of being
there knowing how much Robert Salah loved, remained, Edmunds coming out, coming out of
Virginia Tech, similar size.
I hadn't heard anybody come sunny styles to him from a size athleticism speed factor.
But this just feels like the type of Mike Lyme back at this Robert Salah once we talked
about being able to carry that deep crosser, they call it the special, being able to cover
the special, being able to be the green dot guy, being able to use his length to affect
throwing windows.
We're also having the athleticism to play side line, the side line, and especially 6'5,
244, 4'4, 6'4, 3'5, 34 inch arms, whatever, that just, I know those things were grabbed
Robert Salah's attention.
Uh, Caleb Downs, this is the draft full of athletes, more so than positional value at
the top.
Quickly, do you think Caleb Downs to the Giants is overdrafting a position, not a position
of value historically?
Now, anytime you talk to me about Caleb Downs, I'm going to use your quote, don't over
thank you.
All right, that's exactly right.
All right, we're not going to overthink it into this break, but we might have to do some
explaining by we, I mean me, by why Arville Reese is still in the board.
The Washington Manders, Northern Saints, they're next on the clock, we'll find out what
they do.
And this old Ryan will sum our draft forever this break.

How would you give the, you didn't give me a grade.
How would you trade, give the grade on the trade up for the bills from 26 to 3 to get
Cardinal Tate, who was not, I think we admit Hulu, Jones.
Um, I guess I give it a B because I do think, I do think Cardinal Tate will be a day
one starter for Buffalo over there.
If he were to go there, I think he'll be a day one starter for every team he went to.
All right.
Like I said, you just have to be convinced that he is an elite number one wire receiver.
Okay, and when we get down to pick 26, I'll give you some options of what I did for the
Cardinal, not only with that pick, but with all the other draft haul, they currently
find themselves within this mock draft.
All right, next up to watch the commanders of number seven.
Somehow Arbel Reese is still here.
This is a no brainer.
They haven't needs an edge rusher, but this is a no brainer, even if you have two or three
guys, you can get after off the edge.
You agree with that?
No, I agree.
And he'll be a really good replacement for Frankie Louville.
And you talk about guys that we met with that had good conversation with.
The number one thing he kept saying that when we were talking to him, I'm a dog.
I'm a dog.
And you felt it when he, when you talked to him about it, he had that look in his face.
It's just certain people that just scream that they are the position that they play.
And he just screams linebacker to me.
When you see him, when you talk to him, he just has that presence that it about him.
And I think he'll be the perfect Sam linebacker in this game.
The Sam linebacker in this game is a superhero.
You got to cover.
You got to set the edge.
You have to be able to pass rusher.
And those are all things that Arville Reese does at a very high level.
Yeah.
This might be a situation where Ryan Wilson was overthinking it because Arville, not a lot
of it, bringing power required to know that he's going to be really good at pick eight.
The New Orleans Saints.
We talked to this young man as well.
I love the Jeremy.
I love didn't even pay attention to football outside of his own concerns until his dad forced
him to start watching YouTube clips.
And I learned that Barry Sanders is a pretty good player.
I haven't gone number eight to the New Orleans Saints.
And he only solidified that Jeremiah did with the way he performed at the combine.
I got some Jameer Gibbs at his pro day workout vibes watching the twitchiness with which
he plays.
Well, I'll say this.
I'll say everything as great as his combine was, we didn't learn anything about Jeremiah
love that we didn't know already, right?
And even going back to what you said about Jameer Gibbs, Jameer Gibbs, his pro day at Alabama
was probably one of the best displays of quickness and being light on your feet.
I'll never forget him going through the bags and you did not hear a sound coming through
that.
And that was just so foreign.
I was standing next to his running backs coach, who's a former teammate of mine.
And I was like, what the hell just happened?
And I was like, because I didn't hear a sound and a very next guy, you heard the stomp
and you heard the feet, which is fine, but just Jameer Gibbs was just on a different
level.
But Jeremiah love to New Orleans.
I mean, you put him in the backfield right now.
As it currently stands, I would Alvin Kamar and having those guys be a tandem and you
keep this New Orleans offense heavy with Kelly Moore calling Tyler shut, coming on.
And I see South better pay attention.
I'm glad you mentioned that about the pro day for Jameer Gibbs.
That was one of my first pro days.
And I remember having to pick my job off the turf several times, watching him move, unlike
most human beings move.
So the fact that you've been doing this forever and a former running back, I'm glad I wasn't
alone in that feeling.
All right.
I'm angry at myself for perpetuating this conversation with the short arm.
So we got to talk about Spencer Fano.
His arms are shorter than Will Campbell somehow.
I didn't know to watch him play.
He's a right tackle.
He's going to be a right tackle in the NFL.
He may want to move him inside as an evaluator.
You can let me know.
But I haven't gone to the chiefs here at number nine.
I'm just blood throwing you under the bus.
I can keep dog in here.
They have Josh Simmons when he's healthy.
They're left tackle from last year.
They're moving on from Jawan Taylor.
Any concerns at all that his arms aren't that they're shorter than 33 inches based on
the tape.
No, because you didn't know that or you didn't project that when you watched, you know,
when you watched the tape.
My big thing with Spencer Fano is the core strength of his how strong would he be?
Which we saw be a problem for Will Campbell specifically down the stretch after returning
from the knee.
But you talk about this team needing a right tackle after moving on from Jawan Taylor,
had done a nice job of being able to get Josh Simmons last year, especially at the bottom
of the first round.
That wasn't still.
And now you find yourself in the top 10, which is a place you're that's foreign.
You still come away with a good starting right tackle.
I think it's a fit for him.
Now here's the trick.
If Jeremiah Love is there, it's still available to him at nine and a tackle is available to him.
It'll be interesting to see, you know, where they go here.
We had the opportunity to speak with a beat writer from Kansas City and he felt like they
wouldn't go running back as high just because they missed on some running backs in the past,
taking them high.
You got to treat each one of these things different and don't let, you know, pass failures
so to speak.
And I say failures and air quotes, but you can't pass upon Jeremiah Love if he's there
for you.
Well, let me ask you this, because they're also passing up on this next young man that
ends up going to the Cincinnati Bengals of this mock track, Ruben Bain Jr.
So Jeremiah Love, Spencer Fauna, Ruben Bain Jr., I'll sit in there at nine.
That's a great problem if you were the Cincinnati Bengals and also a good problem for the chiefs.
Could you see the cheese passing on edge rush help here?
And obviously this is a huge need and a reason for celebration if you the Cincinnati Bengals.
Now that's another one.
I mean, for Andy Reed, he may just say, Hey, look, this was the best player available.
Didn't see him being available to us at nine.
And so that, I mean, you look at where they are.
You have George Calaftus.
You know, you got Chris Jones, who they move around coming to us into his career.
I think Leo Shenal is a free agent.
Charles are many.
He was a free agent.
And so I can see if Ruben Bain is available to him at nine, you know, why the hell not, you know,
especially if Jeremiah Love is off the board, you know, why not?
But if you're the Cincinnati Bengals, I mean, you're, you look into this pick
because you didn't have this on your bingo card of Ruben Bain being available for you,
especially after I'm assuming that Tray Hendrickson won't be back.
You took Shamar Stewart last year in the, in the first round.
So you get another Miami kid, put him on the edge, except for this guy has legit, you know,
pass rush traits and tools to him.
And it has been a productive pass rushing.
So safety Caleb Downs is already off the board.
He went top five picks 11 and 12 or cornerbacks.
I have Montsuer Delane, who we spoke with at the combine and Jermon McCoy.
He also spoke with the combine going 12 to Dallas.
And you can start with Montsuer.
And by the way, producer Sharon, I want you to know that ball hit at Rand was asking
Montsuer, who cuts hair on the side, how to fix my ball head.
I thought that was incredibly disrespectful.
But if the, if the barbershop doesn't work out, no, let me, let me, no, let me,
let me, let me defend myself.
Let's, let's look at my, my, my, my dawn and then look at yours.
You have more hair.
So I thought maybe he could salvage, at least he could give you a little taper on the side.
You know, miss some enhancements to bring the line down a little bit.
There's no hope for him.
I got, I got the code of sack joint, you know what I mean?
Like there's nothing there.
But one of the things we talked about off camera was surprises.
I was surprised that your Mark McCoy didn't do anything because coming into the year,
he was my cornerback number one.
And I truly believe had he performed at the combine and performed well,
I think he could have vaulted himself to cornerback number one,
just because of his ball skills.
I think if you're either the dolphins or the cowboys, you're happy with either one of these picks,
you know, getting, being able to address your secondary, both teams need a secondary.
So, um, yeah, I don't think you go wrong, but I was kind of surprised that your
mind didn't do anything because I thought he still could salvage, um,
himself and make himself the first corner taken.
Yeah.
And for now, it feels like monster is that guy, he may not be the athlete of some of
these other guys at cornerback, but he plays SEC football at the highest level.
I don't care what he ends up running or not running.
I supposed to mock you go to his pro day and bust out of 436 and we can revisit the
conversation, but the tape is a tape for both those guys.
It's both really good and they're both probably going to be top 15 picks.

The LA Rams are on the clock.
This is the pick they got from the Falcons for the James Pierce trade last year.
They need help several spots.
Nothing major outside of the secondary.
I'm going with Colton Hood to corner back out of Tennessee.
He played in 2025.
He certainly had a really good season.
Had a really good senior ball.
But he had a pretty good combine as well.
It's 13 to high for a quarter and quote the other corner from Tennessee.
But I think it's for me, it feels like a need for the for the Rams for sure.
Now, it's definitely a need for the Rams and I mean, to be honest with you, man,
I mean, once you see those first two corners, like, especially if it falls like you have
in your on your draft.
Once corner back, one corner back, two goals and you're sitting there knowing that you need a corner,
I know less is thought in his philosophy.
He's not going to pass up on the guy that he values just because he may feel like he should be
picked seven spots lower.
We had the same thing come up with Rob Havenstein years ago when we were in St. Louis.
And we took him.
It was there with that draft class just to happen to be short on tackles.
And when we got to our pick in the second round,
we were sitting there and literally Rob Havenstein was a corner that we liked.
But it was like, do you take him here in two and less was like,
well, where the hell else are we going to take him?
Because if we try to wait to our next pick, he won't be there.
And so we ended up taking on obviously, I mean, Rob played last year.
So he's still kicking.
So I don't, I don't, when you asked the question, is this too high?
No, it's not high, especially if you're top two corners on your board
of already gone.
This is another guy that you value just as much as those other two.
All right.
Let's get to the old Florida Gators part of the conversation.
We met with Kayla Banks.
All six, five, three, thirty, thirty, five inch arms of them on the set producer.
Ron, he actually watches this podcast with his mom.
So shout out to him and his mom if they're watching right now.
Healthy.
He dominates ran.
We know we had the foot injury last year.
But he went to the senior bowl and just took over all three practices.
And this is an enormous need.
Literally and figuratively for the Baltimore Ravens.

I mean, to use Prisco's word when the young man walked off our set,
Pete Prisco was like, in that is what they're supposed to look like.
And this is a large human.
And at 300, whatever pounds he weighs, three, twenty five, three, thirty,
whatever it is, when you see him, you don't know where that weight is.
Just because he's so well put together.
He is rising on team's boards.
I think there was a little bit of a concern because I think he,
the foot kind of nagged him a little bit at the combine workout.
So he didn't necessarily finish that.
But he still put on a hell of a performance.
Great kid to talk to.
And like you said, he's a fan of the show.

Tampa Buckingeers, take Kenan Sadiq out of Oregon by way of the state of
tight ends Idaho, which is, I think you were a little surprised.
I was surprised when I revisited my notes.
But he follows coast and leveled out of the state of that Idaho.
Out of, get it out.
Get it out.
Get it out.
Be back.
Get my new lips here.
He absolutely dominated the 40 and the vertical.
And we've talked about his 2025 tape wasn't quite as impressive as his 2024 tape.
That doesn't mean he can't do it.
That just means for whatever reason it didn't happen as consistently in 2025.
Do you like to fit in Tampa Bay and is 15?
Is that too rich for you?
15 I would say is a little rich just based off of,
because the year in 2024, he wasn't a guy.
And so it was exciting to see him have to be the guy this year.
And although he performed well, you go back and look at the numbers.
He performed well, but we expected more.
And I don't know if that says more about us than it does about him.
But I just think at the tight end position at 15, I do think Tampa Bay has bigger needs
that will need to be addressed there at 15.
But nonetheless, I'll be honest with you.
And it was the one guy that I asked him about.
Because to me now, he's becoming more and more comparable to Evan Ingram.
When you talk about the size, I didn't expect him to be as big as he was
what he weighed in and measured in.
I thought he would be a little bit shorter.
I thought he'd be a little bit smaller.
Definitely didn't see the 4-3 speed.
But those are all Evan Ingram-esque numbers.
And I don't know off the top of my head where Evan Ingram went.
But if you need a tight end, you need a guy that can win those 101 matchups.
And like you mentioned to him, talking to him like,
his kids are a hell of a special team's player as well.
A guy that can give you value out of that room, which is always important.
So super impressive, young man, when we sat down and talked to him.
6-3-2-40 run, rank 1-2-41, ran the 4-3-9
and the 43-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1.
So he was not messing around.
Next up, that New York jets,
this is the pick that got from the Colts
as way as a part of that source Gardener deal.
I hadn't taken David Bay like Number 2.
They started going back here and to hear you talk about it what do
be Max A. He likes guys that eats pencils.
Mちゃん lemon is a pencil leader in terms of the football player and the Getcherlegi plays.
He would you talk about tone setters and locker room guys changing the culture.
He feels like that to me, Randy New York. Yeah, he be Mac talks about guys that eat pencils.
That's he eats those those big fat kindergarten pencils, but those those ones.
This was an intense do just seeing them and seeing them around and paying attention to him.
He's about his business. He's cutting dry. Probably not much for the pleasantries.
He just wants to do his job and be a professional and be great at what he does.
But he will give them like you said, riding a tone setter.
I know we are always going to keep with the I'm and Ross St Brown comp.
But just like I'm and Rob went to Detroit and help be a part of changing that culture around,
McCoy lemon has the same tools, you know, and his toolbox should be able to do the same.
Yeah, I mean, he's he's a need to pick for me in terms of the way he played last year for U.S.
Seeing how that translates. All right, let's talk about two NFC North teams.
Detroit and Minnesota with back to back picks of 17 and 18.
They go with back to back Clemson players. I want to get your thoughts on TJ Parker.
Going to Detroit and playing opposite eight in Hutchison.
And then the Minnesota Vikings who are moving on from center of the veterans.
They sound along the defensive line.
Landing Peter Woods, another young man who has sub 32 inch arms.
His tape does not show that, but I have to put that out there.
What do you think about these two picks for these two defenses?
Well, I'd say this, although Detroit needs needs an edge,
I wouldn't be surprised if they went tackle.
If one of those tackles was available to them, they're at 17.
But if you're Minnesota, I mean, you got to be about as happy as happy
can be with Peter Woods falling to you at pick 18.
So you would have to be just elated because to me, he's still DT number one.
And regardless of whether Caleb Banks goes before him or not,
I mean, for this guy to be available to you at one, we're talking about a guy that
coming into the year, most people had going into top five or sure far,
top five picking. Now he's available to you at 18.
You got to be happy if you're Minnesota.
Yeah, and that's what happens, right? He didn't work out at the combine.
I don't believe, but their pro days coming up in 10 days from now.
And it's always what have you done for me lately as we go down the draft.
A rabbit hole on our way to the actual draft and reality.
The tape remains the tape and Peter Woods to your point has been a really good football player
during his clips and time.

So I don't know which one that makes you on the original cast.
I just told him I would never call on him because I know he'd come up short.
Moving on, pick 19 in the Carolina Panthers down the clock.
I tell you who isn't short, Caden Proctor.
I had a chance to speak with him with the combine.
After everyone left me high and dry, I like to hang around and talk to the offensive lineman
on Saturdays.
And we joked in the week leading up to the combine ran that he had played.
What his comp would be for playing running back, which he did last year.
What his comp would be for being a wide receiver.
He comps himself to Megatron as a wide receiver, which isn't far off.
And as a running back, he didn't go there again or even through on betas.
Either way, I think both those comps are good.
But I haven't go into the Carolina Panthers as their left tackle of the future.
Iki Kwanu had the knee injury late in the year.
We don't know when he's going to be healthy.
His contract's going to be up after the 2026 season.
Any pushback from you if you are a Panthers fan or an evaluator for taking a left tackle here?
I was going to say the fit and obviously, and we spoke with Dan Morgan briefly about
the injury.
And he was encouraged and said that you got to treat each athlete different and how they
recover and how their bodies are.
I get the premise and I understand why you would do it.
But I would also say that they would want their guy back even though his contract is coming
up and he's coming off of a knee injury.
I see why you went here.
Probably could have gone maybe linebacker here, inside linebacker here, or maybe even another
edge patch, edge guy, because they need both of those, but I understand why you went here.
Yeah, and edge was consideration, but they took Nick Scorton and Nick and Prince Lee
who made me Ellen last year.
So I wanted to be a little patient there.
And when I do my two round mock draft, I'm going to have the Panthers trade enough for Jacob Rodriguez.
So he and Dan Morgan can have long conversations about playing the linebacker position.
So that's how I'm going to cover myself on that one.
All right, next up, pick 20 to Dallas Cowboys are available.
And on the clock, they took to Mademois earlier and I got them taking Keldrick Fock.
Another edge rusher that we spoke with last week.
He is 21, not 20.
He's still young and he's still scratching the surface on his abilities.
But I love the idea of him lining up next to Quentin Williams and Dallas.
Yeah, man, shout out to Keldrick and we were teasing him about the
the the the birth certificate thing because the entire NFL was wrong about his age.
And he cleared it up, you know, for us.
And like we told him on the show, he was cheating.
He he was older and used a birth certificate shaved off the year.
So he could play with the younger kids.
But loved his young man.
And I think he's still growing as a pass rusher.
I'll say that he's still growing as a pass rusher.
But he is probably one of the better run defenders in this draft class in terms of edge defenders.
Just with his instinct and feel and his ability to recognize blocks.
And so he has that block scheme recognition and get those tackles behind a line of scrimmage.
But he's still evolving as a pass rusher.
I just recently saw that Donovan Ezraku had a hip procedure done.
So, you know, adding to their need for an edge guy.
And I like to fit here for Keldrick for.
All right, pick 21 of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And producers are sure on you'll appreciate this.
My guy, Denzel Boston came on the set and not only did Rand allow me to sit next to him
because I've been talking them up since last summer.
But our other producer producer striker informed me during the middle of the interview
that Rand had Denzel Boston going outside the first round when we talked about it over the summer.
So I had to bring that up in person and throw Rand into the bus there.
I haven't gone to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I had some real conversations with my self-rand about taking Venga Yawane here
because they need help along the offensive line.
But I went with Denzel Boston.
You've come around at Denzel since the summer.
Any concern, any issues about going to Pittsburgh outside the quarterback situation
in terms of how he would fit in the same white or seared room with someone similarly
sized in DK Mecca?
No, because I think their styles are different.
They are similarly sized.
But I think their brand of football is different.
I think Denzel Boston has a little bit more route running
traits to them than DK does.
And DK, we know is a vertical catch the ball on the move kind of guy.
So I think it'll be a good fit.
And of course, you pick your favorite player to hold draft to go to your favorite team here.
So that just makes you even more of a Pittsburgh fan.
Especially if Denzel Boston Wilson ends up there.
And I'm surprised you didn't reach out and hugged him while he was on set.
That's why I gave up my seat so you can at least be closer to him.
Hey, everybody.
Pete Prisco accuses me of falling in love with these players.
You're not far behind.
I think you came around in Denzel as well.
But yeah, nice young man and obviously a really good football player.
And he was certainly helped to Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaking of helping a team, I mentioned them a moment ago.
The chargers are doing jumping jacks and cartwheels
for Venga Yohane falling to them.
The guard out of Penn State, who is one of the cleanest prospects in this draft class.
I feel like he's going to a situation where they're moving on from Zion Johnson,
moving on from Jamari Salier, getting their off of the tackles healthy.
And this is just the next step in the version of this team that Jim Harbott wants with Justin Herbert.
Yeah, this is Mike Ayupati pick from his days in San Francisco.
Draft and a big fellow to shore up the interior of that offensive line.
And if you go back and this will be a good study for everyone out there that's watching
or listening to this Mark Draft and Venga Yohane,
his fit into a Mike McDaniel outside zone scheme.
Because I think the perception is always you want little guards, you know,
280 pounds, 290 pound guards that are able to move.
But if you're this size and you have a good understanding of angles and you know how to cut people
off and create that space and be able to make those backside blocks there is a fit.
If you go back to when we were in San Francisco, we took Aaron Banks out of Notre Dame,
who was seen as a power player.
But he ended up being a pretty solid pick for us in the second round and started a ton of games.
And you know, for the people that are listening and watching our producer,
Shiran, he was in an ear and soon as we made the pick, he screamed out, we are.
Well, he supports Miami because every Miami player has been picked.
He was all about to you, then it's we are, then it's temple.
And it's it's any school that he's ever driven by.
He claims those as his school.
So there you go, Shiran, you got a pinstake out of that.
He was interrupted us during our interview with Todd Bowles,
who played a temple to let us know, to let Todd know that he was a temple owl.
And Todd was impressed with that until we explained to him that Shiran has 547 teams,
some even in Canada and Mexico.
Like he's a North America football fan.
All right, next up the Philadelphia Eagles at 23.
Here we go. Tell me what you think of this.
I talked to Caleb Lomu along with some of the other offensive linemen.
And the reason that Spencer Fonda moved to the right side was so Caleb could play in the left,
did really well.
He admitted he needs to get a little bit stronger and we've talked about that.
But he also has been working on the right side.
So I'm taking him here as Lane Johnson's replacement.
And that could be in 2027 as he grows physically and developmentally.
What do you think about that?
No, it's a good pick for him because I think there,
I think there will be some teams on the back half that need left tackle.
And he's a guy that's great at pretty high,
you know, specifically as a left tackle.
All these kids in their training, these tackles, these guards,
they're playing, you know, where they're switching their feet in their training,
whether they're playing the left side or the right side.
But you know, the key really is without Stoutland being there in Philly,
Stoutland has such a history of developing these offensive linemen.
This is going to be the new iteration of offensive line play in Philadelphia.
So we'll get to see, you know, what that looks like and how these guys develop and grow.
From that standpoint, I like the fit of safety here with our guy from Toledo,
Emmanuel McNeil Warren, I think will be a really, really good, really, really good pick for them here
to address that secondary because again, this offensive line is going to be intact
as it is for 2026. And so yeah, I get drafted ahead of a need,
but you also have bigger needs in the secondary where you need plug and play guys.
All right, fair enough. I'm not going to push back on that.
And we talked to Emmanuel as well.
Emmanuel and he makes tons of sense here.
All right, give me one sentence on the Browns and Jordan Tyson.
And I want to know the injury issues and concerns.
Then one sentence on the bares taking 25 year old Akima Mesdor,
who is going to hit the ground running.
Yeah, I mean, no brainer if you're Browns, you need a receiver.
Jordan Tyson, who is still my wife, receiver number one, is there.
You take him. Obviously, you deal with the injury stuff.
You learn more about it. And you know, you make a decision from there.
And then Akima Mesdor, I'm going to stand firm.
I think he is based down edge guy first and second down and you kick him inside.
And you may, I think he'll be a complete minus Russian inside and I like his versatility.
And although you expected him to say that he loves it doing, you know,
rushing from inside and outside, if you listen to our interview with him, he got a little fired
up when he was talking about all the possibilities of rushing inside.
So I think, I think he likes it in there too.
Shout out Ottawa, Ontario too. I believe that's where he's from.
He's definitely Canadian. I think Ottawa was great talking to him and everybody except for Pete.

Let's do it. So pick 26 here. And you know what? I'm going to get your thoughts on this pick.
And then I'm going to tell you I did my little mock draft simulation for the rest of this draft for
the carnels. And you tell me if you like that better or the bill situation, but let's get to the
pick first here. I have them taking Blake Miller, right tackle out of Clemson to pick 26. In
addition to all the stuff you see here on the screen, they got in this mock draft trade that they
can use to make this team better. You have Paris Johnson, Jr. Now your left tackle position,
the former number six overall pick. Get the right tackle. Now you got to fix everything else.
What do you think about Blake Miller specifically?
No, I like Blake Miller. And I've been a fan and I, you know, based off of his 2024 tape,
I thought he was really interesting. I thought coming into the earth, I thought he was really
talented. It was just you liked consistency just in terms of his fundamentals and technique.
But then I saw the improvement in 2025. So this is actually for a team that that are more that's
more than just a tackle away. I mean, I like being able to get a starting right tackle at 26.
And you still have a two, an additional two and a additional three for this year. And then you
have a additional one in three next year to continue to improve your roster. And if you know
anything about money, awesome for it, he is a, you know, really loves those top 100 picks. And
this allows him to get even more. So I'm not mad at it. Yeah, talk to Blake last Saturday at
the company. And he said he spent a lot of time last summer getting stronger. And that had a
lot to do with his success. I'm going to tell you quickly, the other available picks I did in
my little deep dive on the cardinal strap. These are the picks. They're going to take in my version
of it from the bill's compensation. The Blake Miller 26, then with the second round pick,
Giderian price, then with the third round pick, Dom Orange, who is the, you don't love the,
so much as I do, the biggest tackle out of Iowa State, but you're getting them in the, in the
pick 90. And these are the picks that I have the cardinals taken on their own in this draft in 52
days. Pick 34, your guy Chris Brasel, pick 65 or so, Armass and Thomas. You get Bud Clark and
round four and Kyle Lewis, Bud Clarks of safety at a TCU. Kyle Lewis is the linebacker out of
Louisville. You get another deep with the tackle and Rashon Benny later in the draft, and then you
get Andre Fuller of the Toledo cornerback. Now, Monty might trade a lot of these picks,
but that draft, all versus what you gave up for car now take feels pretty good.
No, you walk away from that feeling good because you got some plug and play, you know,
starters all the way through those top three rounds, which would be, which would be more than
what you could ask for. So I'm not mad at it, not one bit. And then you mentioned the first and
third next year as well. Pick 27, the 49ers, Omar Cooper Jr. This feels maybe a little too rich
for you. Speculation here, but I love the fit of John. Jenny doesn't come back.
No, I like the fit as well. Shout out to B-Mac. I think this was one of the guys that B-Mac was
fighting, you know, to get in the bottom of the first. And you love the makeup of the player,
the toughness, the great, the ability to get open, his ability to run after catch, which is
the 49ers put a lot of stop in guys that are able to run after the catch and Omar Cooper
Jr. definitely fits that role. Yeah, I think you ran a 4-4-2 as well. Combined, didn't play that
fast, but that's also one more nice checkbox producer. Shron, let me know how much time we have,
so I don't run over here, but pick 28 Houston, Kaden McDonald, off excuse me, deepest of
alignment out of Ohio State. Yeah, a big run plugger for these guys. I would say this in a perfect
world. I'd love to see Kayla Banks end up here for those people that still have questions about
him. I would love to see him in his Houston Texans defense, but you know, big fan of K-Mac and
how he's able to go about his business. All right, I'll do, I'll go through the rest of these,
and I'll let you highlight a few of them here. Pick 29, the Rams, second first round pick,
Ty Simpson, Rams fans, they'll be crazy about it, but they will love the fact that he's going to
turn into a really good quarterback in that system. Pick 30, I have the Broncos taking CJA
Allen, the linebacker out of Georgia. He is an old school downhill thumper. Pick 31, New England
taking a manual McNeil Warren, the safety you mentioned earlier, potentially to the Eagles.
They need help with the secondary. They lost Jalen Hawkins. I love the idea of him next to
Christian Gonzales. And finally, the Seahawks take Avion Terrell, cornerback out of Clemson,
who could go higher than this, but we could sit about every single player. Any one of these guys
stick out in terms of someone you want to talk about? No, I mean, I love the fit for E-Man in
New England. I think that's a good fit. I think all those are good fits 29 to 32. I would be
interested to see if Avion Terrell ends up in Seattle, how they're going to play him, because I
think he's that outside inside guy, but you get the same versatility, versatility in Devon,
Weatherspoon. So just seeing what the true fit is there. Yeah, and it wouldn't be shocking at
all of John Schneider actually traded down because we've seen him do that in the past. All right,
that is the post combine Ryan Wilson mocked draft with a crazy trade up for the Buffalo Bills
